We have bought sofas from JCPenney before and it was a great price and quality. Had them for 15 year +. This time we bought an Ashley sleeper sofa & oversize chair and ottman from JCPenney. I am so disappointed with the quality and customer service! The arm creaked and neither company would exchange it and both said it was the other’s responsibility. The sleeper bed is thin and uncomfortable, the cushions are sunk in after only a couple months use. Waste of money!!!!

JcPenny’s Home Expressions brand has acrylic storage that is visually appealing and looks sturdy. It puzzles me why the brand has not thought about the labels on the containers in more detail. The labels are difficult to remove and leave tacky residue behind. If you use anything abrasive it ruins the acrylic. Just ridiculous for me to purchase storage containers I then have to scrub because no one thought of using an easy to remove adhesive like glue dots. Makes the product less enjoyable.

Maine JCPenny stores with no bags to protect purchases. Bags should be available even if to purchase. If one shops JCPenny, one should not have to bear hug items and carry without a bag through a mall to get to their vehicle! Items being dropped and needing to pick them up. Real nice on a wet rainy day! Get some bags for your customers JC Penny! No plastic bags to no bags at all has gone to far!

Apparently they use a lousy shipping company. My package was not delivered but email said it was delivered by LaserShip. Shipping company was no help - just emailed that they delivered it and call the vendor. J C Penney rep was polite but the connection was poor so I'm not sure if he is giving me a refund. Gave 1 extra star because the rep was polite and tried to help through poor connection. I'll make sure it's off my credit card.

JC penny has always been my favorite place to shop for clothes, but the cashiers here in Layton malls either they don’t know what they are doing or just plain lazy. A return or an exchange should be a fairly easy process but not here, specially a cashier name kristina, it took her about 15 minutes to process my exchange and the whole time treats and looks at as if I was trying to scam the store. It’s never a pleasant time to ever use the rewards earned, cause it’s just a lot of hassle for them to do. The manager on duty seems more concerned about someone stealing as you go to the dressing room and tries the clothes, just watches like a hawk, this store is in shambles, no wonder they are looking for a new GM. I have been very happy with the clothes, bedroom and bathroom items I have purchased over the years. What I am not happy about is the pricing differences in store and online. For example today I found just what I wanted in store for $36. I check online and it was on sale for $24.99. The cashier said she could give me that sale price. But, she couldn't give me for the limited time Flash Sale price of $16.24. So I leave the item with her, find a chair, get out my phone and purchase it online. I then had to go home and wait for an email to say it was ready for collection which came about an hour later. What an unbelievable waste of time, energy and gas? It is also so unfair for those who don't have the know how to do this and go in a pay the full ticket price. I will continue to shop online but I feel like JPC is trying to cheat me when I shop in person.

I placed an order on Nov 5 and after 15 days did not receive any notification that it was at the store. My call to the Customer Service rep was useless. He told me that he didn’t see where it was and that I should call the local store myself. I called multiple times and got no answer. At one point, I dialed zero for the operator and got a recording that the operator was unavailable. I emailed twice and got no response.

My order of 5 items arrived with only 1 of my items. The others were someone else's. When I called and explained it was a mixed order but packing slip had all my items listed. They want me to wait to see if an another package arrives. I told them every package would have a separate UPS number and if it was a split order all the items would not be listed. They would not tell me how to return the items that are not mine. The customer rep and the supervisor acted like they didn't want to help. I work in a clothing distribution center. I know how it works. Every time I said something it was correct and they agreed. But company policy is you have to wait....just in case the impossible happens.

I was very disappointed in my visit today at Plainfield jcp Only a few fitting rooms open. Sale association seemed stressed which I understood when I went to the shoe department, it was in disarray, I would be stressed too if there wasn’t enough help 🥲I was sad to see such nice merchandise not taken care of😳 no respect🥲 We need better Mothers 🥲

The 3 outfits for small children,the whole outfit wasn't there.3 times your out.AM OUT. Every single time.was great quality and Price.But that's to many times ordering, picked up.And DISAPPOINTED .

Prices great! Selection better than the stores here in my city. 2nd visit in 4 days. My Complaint is understaffed! One register for entire store! Employee trying to please customers while getting screamed at by Rude, price lying customers while others wait because she is alone. I saw many walk out from waiting to long (not employee fault). Not happy to see JcPenny saving a nickel by not Staffing appropriately

So, I ordered 2 different items at the same time on 8/5/20. I received one of my items around 8/15/20, and it was not what I had ordered. I never received the other item, so I called customer service. The young lady I talked to was very nice and immediately gave me a refund for the item I did not receive, then instructed me to return the wrong item to a JC Penny store near me. I agreed to do this. 2 days ago, on 8/23/20, a total stranger left the package with the other item on my porch. I called JC Penny to let them know I received the item. I was asked for my card # so I could be billed again for the price of the item. I did not want to give my card # over the phone - I payed using PayPal initially. I was told the only other option was to return the item. I was offered no compensation for what I had gone through with this order, not even an apology! This has cost me so much time, stress, frustration and disappointment. I will be sending both items back, and sad to say, I will not purchase from JC Penny again, although it has been my favorite place to shop for many years.

Would not purchase online with this company again. Only reason I give 2 stars is because if the item I bought but it's a Levi's jacket which happened to be sold through this company. I noticed the price drop after I purchased it. I thought like other stores I've had experience with that they would honor the discount since it was just a few days I had ordered. My order was still processing. I called the toll free number and it seemed like the employee made excuses. I've had much better customer service and amore professional interaction with stores like REI. I sent a review and that was denied. I realize why this company is closing many stores. I definitely dont recommend purchasing online with JC Penny's.

I booked a hair appointment,last minute today online. I had the appointment scheduled for almost two hours before someone called me and told me that there was no way anyone could do my hair at 6:00 Due to having to go pick up her baby from daycare.So I opted for just a haircut and she said, well I have a 5:30 haircut and then I have to take a lunch and no one else here can do your hair. Everyone is booked. Even when it shows that there appointments available online! She offered only to give me another day. I will be 50 tomorrow and wanted to surprise everyone with new hair.I would have booked it sooner but only had this opportunity due to a very tight budget and not getting out of court until 3:30.

I’m a loyal customer. I’m usually in Penny’s at least once a week in women’s wear. I must say, for the last year maybe more any time I come, she makes her way to greet me and I can tell her what I need & where I’m going. She starts grabbing things that I would like!! She needs to be recognized for her great customer service her name is kassidy. She’s so sweet with impeccable customer service. Ok also the store is very beautiful, I must say I love to give a review about customer service and I can give a lot of girls zero stars mostly bc every time I come in there is no one at the register and if there is the chitchatting & not helping anyone. So it is truly nice when you find A-1 customer service “kassidy” to be review

I ordered a shirt the first few days of December 2018 for a Christmas gift. I was told it would be available for pick up between 12/7-12/12. I went to the store on the 13th because I was in town and hoped it would be there, their website showed it wasn't there yet, it wasn't and was told they didn't know when. I finally received an email on 12/17 when I was unable to get to the store again until 12/20 making it too late to get the gift shipped out. I asked for an explanation, none was given. I'm highly disappointed. I've been a JCP customer for many many years and things have changed over the last few years. They stopped giving good incentives to shop there and they don't (at my store) treat the customer nice. It's rare to be greeted in a friendly manner. Its sad.
