Title: Caution Advised: Unreliable Refund Practices by Kiwi I recently booked a flight from Canada to California through Kiwi, a third-party booking service. Trusting in their longstanding business, I expected them to honor their commitments. Unfortunately, when the airline they booked for me went bankrupt, Kiwi refused to issue a refund, despite having received payment prior to the airline’s bankruptcy. I have initiated a dispute with PayPal and am in the process of seeking resolution. This experience has been disheartening, and I feel compelled to warn others: Kiwi has shown a lack of responsibility and integrity in handling this situation. They have not offered the support or reliability one would expect when entrusting their travel plans to a professional service. To fellow travelers, I advise caution. Your hard-earned money deserves to be managed by a company that upholds honesty and integrity, qualities that Kiwi has failed to demonstrate in my case. Please consider this a warning when choosing a service for booking your flights.

Horrible experience. Lost £400 because of Kiwi. A rip off. Don't book with them, this type of company shouldn't be allowed to do business

The worst. I lost €260 because of Kiwi and have had 2 months of stressful, annoying customer service contact during my travels leading to nothing but disappointment. Kiwi accepted a last-minute flight change on my behalf which I did not want, however I fixed this by rescheduling myself on the airport and was assured a refund by the airline involved. However, kiwis details (creditcard number + email) were in their system instead of my own. This couldn't be adjusted since the refund would have to be to the same account. Since I wouldn't receive any direct communication because of this, the lady at the airlinedesk adviced me to take a picture as proof of the refund. Kiwi only refunded the costs for the luggage but never for the €260 flight. They blame the airline and say that my picture is invalid proof. So definitely won't ever book here again.

I accidentally, after purchasing my tickets, canceled them on kiwi.com and immediately notified them, I don’t want to cancel the flight, so they would return everything as it was.. I contacted the air carrier and they confirmed that the reservation was active. Then I contacted Kiwi again and they replied that they would cancel anyway. Although all I needed was for them to do nothing. I understand that I made a mistake, but the attitude in the style - we don’t care - your mistake, suffer yourself. And this is not my first and not only my negative experience with this company. I will never go anywhere near this service again.

Worst service ever. On the flight back we had to pay for luggage, board trolleys as well as suitcase extra 50€ per piece. It was ‘only booked’ for one way they said. Never ever happend in any other airline. The check-in lady immediately asked if we booked on kiwi, seems to happen all the time.

This is a plain scam, stay away. They have a bunch of positive reviews in Trustpilot coming from fake users with 1 single review. I have acquired a intercontinental flight ticket with this company, for a 3 days business travel. They have changed my ticket by 24 hours, without a reason. They decided I need to come back 1 day before the ticket I purchased with them. They say the airline did the change, the airline confirmed in written that the change was initiated by Kiwi. When you buy a ticket with Kiwi, they do not provide the airline reservation number. You buy a specific flight with them, and they will buy whatever is the cheapest with the airline. Their customer support is outrageous, the worst I have seen. Very cynical and ironic responses from the beggining, there is absolutely no intention to support who made the mistake to buy a ticket with this company. They operate a Brazilian support number and accept the PIX Brazilian payment system, clearly not complying with the regulations for both. I need now to buy another ticket for my intercontinental flight, a waste of EUR 500 with this scam. I will spend my time, effort and knowledge to ensure this website domain will be blocked to Brazilian users.

One star, as there is no option for no star. Please be aware of kiwi and STAY AWAY. They are CRIMINALS and I say this based on concrete evidence. I had bought a return flight through kiwi. The second part (inbound flight) was canceled by the airline. Kiwi offered no possibility for partial cancelation of the ticket, so I couldn't use the first part and board my outbound flight which wasn't canceled. Although the airline offered me free rebooking or refund in case the same type of ticket was bought on the airline's website, there was no such option with kiwi. Moreover, as the ticket was bought through kiwi, I couldn't handle any cancelation directly with the airline (as falsely stated on kiwi website), as the airline was referring me to the booking agency. After paying a considerable amount of money to kiwi for rebooking, as there wasn't other option, kiwi failed to check me in online. Despite my efforts to reach them they weren't able to explain me the reasons why their check in failed. They just informed me a couple of hours before the flight that I should check in directly with the airline at the airport and I will be refunded. I did so and submitted to them all receipts that I received at the airport (that mentioned explicitly my name, booking code, the reason for the payment, date, time, amount etc) but they refused to process the refund stating that these official documents are not valid. If kiwi staff declares as not valid and does not accept official receipts that are fully compliant with the relevant legal requirements of the local Revenue Authority they commit CRIMINAL OFFENSE.

Worst company to book your travel with I booked our trip (me and my mother were travelling to Makkah) through kiwi.com and paid £180 for extra carry on baggage for both of us. Upon our return, the flight operator told us at Madina aiport that our tickets does not have any baggage allowance. And there we were standing with 2 bags to be checked in. It was quite embarrassing and I had no choice but to buy additional baggage. I paid for 20kg baggage for both of us (10kg per person) so our luggage can travel with us. I notified kiwi.com right on the spot but they are completely denying it and iteratively telling me that their system is showing that they successfully booked the baggage allowance and I had to pay because my bags were not the right size or weight. Mind you I travelled outbound with the same bags. I have sent them photos of both cabin bags, our tickets with Turkish Airlines showing no baggage allowance but they are denying it completely and just repeating the same script that my baggage was 20kg when I have explained them again and again that its 2 persons 2 bags, 10kg each and I had to pay for all weight not just extra weight. All in all they are a pathetic company who would not accept any liability if anything goes wrong. They have ruined our trip and have left me £200 out of pocket, not to mention the stress and embarrassment we faced at the airport. Please stay very clear from this company. Pay a bit extra for quality, otherwise its going to cost you extra for the mediocrity from these people.

I bought some tickets for $640, canceled them a month in advance, and only got a $5 refund. I consider this refund a total mockery. They told me they would refund me within 90 days, but it's been more than 90 days and I haven't received any response. I don't believe they will refund me the money. I do not recommend this app at all. Give me back my money; it's my savings.

They were supposed to refund my money when I realized I made a mistake with the booking IMMEDIATELY after booking. They refunded only 10 Euros instead of the price of the ticket. They don't even follow their own policies.

Do NOT use! They are your modern day scammers. Take it from the 1000+ reviews confirming this agency is not to be trusted, nor used. I shan’t be making the same mistake again, and encourage you not to also.

Cheap is not always ideal. I booked my flight with kiwi to Toronto Canada from vancouver and back. The price is what caught my eye. I was aware of the hidden Itinerary but we will get to that. My flight to Toronto was delayed by over an hour. Fault of flair likely however kiwi didn't provide the correct reservation. Even flair couldn't find it. It had to be resolved. I then had to pay for my personal item when I paid for it! Now I am sitting at Toronto airport to go home to vancouver. There is a 8hr lay over in Kelowna bc and I've just found out if I get on the flight to go into vancouver I won't be able to get off as it is a gas fill up to continue onto Mexico. This was the hiden Itinerary mentioned. I confirmed before booking that I could get off at vancouver which they clearly lied to me. My honest review to to warn those planning on using kiwi. Cheap is not always better and may land you in the situation I am now in.

They advertise cheap tickets but they don’t inform you about you have to pay extra for everything. Carry on bags, food and drink, blankets on an international flights. I ended up paying more than ever for a very uncomfortable flight. Don’t trust this company

I bought 2 tickets to Sri Lanka with Kiwi but someone in the company made a mistake, and the second ticket that was given to me, didn’t match with the info that the flight (E number) they didn’t let us check into the flight and we missed the flight. I was stuck in a different country with no ticket. I waited 12 hours in the airport, trying to get a hold of their customer service, but they were just so rude and unhelpful. (even asked me to pay more money so I could get on a different flight because their excuse “the price is different”). after 12 hours, I finally was able to receive a new ticket even though there were two flights that could’ve brought me to where I needed to go and after all this was over I tried filing a complaint, but that’s just impossible so I gave up. Anyway, I’m never gonna be using kiwi again and don’t recommend anyone and going with their services..

I booked a flight for the 25th of April and when I got the confirmation it said the 24th not the 25th. So I immediately tried to cancel the flight as per their booking policy says that if they did not book it through the airline that you can cancel it. I was unable to cancel it because it showed that it booked immediately through the airline which is not possible because I got a confirmation about 20 to 30 minutes later showing that it was confirmed by the airline. When I contacted customer service they basically said tough luck it's your mistake and we don't care. So if you make a mistake or their website makes a mistake you have no recourse but to accept the flight that they choose for you. They will tell you is your fault. So basically I am out several hundred dollars and they don't care. buyers beware

one star only because there is no minus-1 star!!! They are NOT authorized agents, and as a result we had to over-pay our tickets by 45%!!!! And the standard respond of their help-desk agents was "We are sorry to hear that.." and at the end they said they see nothing wrong on their end!!! Keep far-far away!!!!
