Instead of pressing the buzzer for our flat to alert us of their presence, due to covid19 we were working from home, the delivery driver chose to enter the foyer and take a photo of the floor: no parcel in photo, and allegedly "leave the parcel". For the sake of clarity, no parcel was ever found after having gone down to the foyer to retrieve it as soon as we received the delivery notification, sent to us notably some hours later. When we had the opportunity to query the delivery driver a couple of days later as to why he could not have pressed the flat buzzer located right next to the foyer door button we were met with rudeness. In fact we were told not to expect further deliveries from Hermes. I think given the level of service and the opinion of the delivery driver our parcel was "stolen", you people out there can make up your own minds, as we have done, what the answer to that is.

This company is a joke, their tracking system has my parcel in my “local” depot of Sheffield, very strange as I live in walsall. It has been there 8 days and their digital assistant tells me every time that it’s on its way, but still in Sheffield, I will never buy from a seller who uses this courier again. The contact phone number is a premium line, I have ordered four items since and they have already been delivered, needless to say the courier was not Hermes. DO NOT USE THIS COURIER, absolutely useless.

If I could give them a minus I would. I currently have SIX I repeat SIX parcels lost in their network. 3 were sent from my local Hermes Shop on 26th May, 2 were sent from my local Hermes Shop on 1st June, and one was sent by a seller on eBay to me on 19th May. Like many other reviewers, I am now avoiding purchasing from anyone who uses Hermes to ship as I know it's unlikely to arrive unscathed, if at all. Just not worth the risk. And I personally will now never ever ever use them again because for the 5 parcels of mine that they have lost, I doubt that I will be adequatedly refunded as they are more than likely to argue the toss. I have even copied in my emails to their CEO Martijn de Lange which seemed to cause an initial flurry of action because Customer Services actually bothered to respond but alas any further response to my request that they do a "sweep" of the local depot or investigate the driver who collected my parcels and then never booked them into the local depot, has met with total silence. I would rather stick pins in my eyes than ever deal with this company again. And after 10 years of using them that tells you all you need to know... AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Dreadful company! If were possible to leave zero stars I would! 22.05.20 - Ordered from an eBay seller. 30.05.20 - Notification from Hermes informing me that they had the parcel. 01.06.20 - Hermes tracker updated stating that the parcel was being returned to sender. To date (07.06.20) no attempt has been made to deliver the parcel (either to me or the sender), and I have had no further communication from Hermes. The only method of contact available is the Hermes chat bot 'Holly' which only tells me what I already know! This is the last time I will ever buy from an online seller who uses this dreadful company.

Hermes are by far the worst company ever I have regular deliverys from Amazon dpd etc with no problems When I contacted the seller regarding my latest non-delivery he told me he has 150 parcels he has sent which cannot be traced It is a small business that makes wax melts & candles and normally uses Royal Mail I hope this bunch of incompetent chancers don't ruin the guys business I can only think it was because of the covid-19 that he used them..,they are by far the worst and need to be shut down and investigated

Terribly slow, unreliable, difficult to contact, bad communication. They want to know the tracking number to help you but they do not give it to you - it was not in their email, not on the page linked to the email, I had to find it in the url address. Ridiculous. My parcel was due to arrive 1 June latest, it is still nowhere, not even "on its way" according to their website, and it is the 7th of June today... And while this can happen, I was expecting at least an email or text about the delay.

After sending me a message three times to tell me my parcel was on its way they then delayed it three times. I tried to contact them their phone lines were not available. I was then told to contact my shipment provider to no avail. I then received another message informing me that my delivery was with the courier and on its way once again with even a delivery slot allocated. An hour after my parcel was meant to have been delivered I received another message saying my delivery was once again delayed due to it being to large! My item was 53cm in height 20cm in width and weighed 4 kg! Absolutely atrocious service!!!

Twice in two months ive waited for a delivery to my place of work...they claim to have tried 3 times to deliver..saying they had a problem getting access..bull...!!..we're open 7am till after 5.30 pm 5 days a week..these con artists just can't be arsed!..They use people who im sure just look at parcels as a form of getting free trainers or clothes or goods of any description..anyhow..my item got sent back to seller i got a refund..then 6wk after the initial posting it turned up!..I then had to resend the fee ..incompetence is not strong enough a word...now they've done it again...was purchased 29may...they've said they've tried 3 times..and...well ..you can guess ..utterly f...ing useless..DO NOT USE THIS COURIER.

Can I talk to someone??? It's now more then a week they took my parsel, and I still don't see nothing besides that my parcel was taken by hermes, and guess what, it was a next day delivery.... it's probably the last time I'm using them!!!!

I never leave a review, but I really felt cheated by this company. I paid for a parcel to be collected from my house to abroad and when the delivery man came he refuse to take it saying is too big( a package which was brought by one single man). So no pakeha collected, no where to contact, online assistant is useless.... PLEASE IF SOMEONE CAN PROVIDE A NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM IT WILL BE GREAT. DON’T use this company

This company is an absolute joke. There is always a problem. They cancel deliveries, deliver late and damage most parcels. I’m trying to avoid companies that make use of Hermes.

Staff should be taught to deliver a parcel be courteous and leave, instead of being inappropriate and making customers feel uncomfortable in their own home...

Absolutely fed up of their awful service. I ordered next day delivery for hermes to mess up. I have had enough to the point I am no longer purchasing through retailers that use hermes as their courier.

**DO NOT USE** I will start by saying I’m not someone who usually leaves a review unless it’s really bad. I’ve used Hermes in the past and never had a problem but the last 2 months have been extremely bad ! First problem was when I sent an Amazon return parcel back and still to this date it says “ your parcel is with us and we’re processing it “ this was posted out about 2 months ago. Second problem I sent out a parcel to be delivered on the 21st of May with a two day delivery (expected longer coming up to bank holiday) Anyway by the 27th it still hasn’t been delivered and it still said “ we have collected your parcel from the parcel shop” . So no live chat available I had to call and eventually got through to someone who said someone will email me and give them 24hours to chase up where my parcel is. Fair enough I had an email the next day saying they was sorry about the poor service and they have updated the tracking and YOU WILL RECEIVE COMPENSATION FOR YOUR TROUBLE. So after another 3-4 days and 2 delivery attempts my parcel finally got delivered to the buyers address. So just shy of 2 weeks it took them to deliver. Best part of it all is how it’s delivered and I was told to contact them to receive my compensation my emails are now being ignored and nobody is responding to me lol. To top it off I was expecting a parcel from them two days ago from a seller on eBay which is still stuck on “ we have your parcel and we’re processing it” so that looks like that won’t be coming anytime soon either.
