“I'm sad to say I wish I had followed the many many other very unhappy customers' advice and not used this company. My appalling experience followed the same script as many others. You purchase a reasonably priced item and surprise surprise it's not available. When u question the eta you get told it will be available in few days, when pushed this then becomes next week, then in two weeks and then they blame the supplier stating they can't provide a date. I've been let down and very embarrassed by not being able to give a close relative their birthday present. All I receive is an empty and flat sorry and that my refund my take 2-4 weeks!!! Don't put yourself through the hassle to only be disappointed...steer clear by taking the advise of many; I wish I did!”

“I ordered an iron and expected delivery within the week. You are unable to telephone them with customer queries. I sent a support ticket and I asked for someone to speak to about my order and they 'closed' the ticket. I have paid them and am out of pocked without a refund. All i wanted to know was when they were going to delivery my order.
They are still advertising the product for delivery within the week. i will be contacting trading standards.

“I ordered an item about a month ago, paid for it online, as you have to, and there is still no sign of it even being dispatched. Raising several tickets with Nigel O'Hara's "customer service" team resulted in being told that they were waiting to receive it direct from the manufacturer and were sure that it was imminent. That was 2 weeks ago.
It's an iron, by the way. Not some bespoke contraption tailor-made for me... and to think I went with them because it was £6 cheaper than elsewhere.”
“After 3 months(precisely 3 months tomorrow) of waiting for my item, Nigel oHara have finally admitted that the item will not be back in stock. Right from the start I was told multiple times that it would be in 'within the coming days'. After emails back and forth I did not want to cancel my order as I could almost guarantee if I did it would suddenly become available. After weeks of waiting I requested a partial refund as by this time I had missed the occasion that I had bought the item as a gift for, but I was told no discount could be given at all. I finally received an email this evening telling me I will not receive my item, not even mentioning the make up that I bought at the same time which has been I stock the whole time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS COMPANY. Even when I asked that my message be passed on to the management team, that request was ignored. The most untrustworthy, unhelpful website I'm sure I will ever come across and they are not worth wasting your time over for an order you may never receive. I will be making sure that my family and friends will never shop on this website and I would advise that you don't either. And yes, you did read the time scale correctly..3 months!”

“I've purchased a robot vacuum with Nigel O'hara the beginning of May. After two weeks I got an email from them saying they will dispatch my order ASAP ( I was charged upon placing the order). But then a week later another email saying the product was discontinued and offering me a refund or exchange. I requested an immediate refund as it was their fault and the product was not even dispatched. They told me the refund will be processed in 5-6 working days, which I thought was ridiculous, I work in ecommerce and these refunds take SECONDS to action and they should be done immediately. However I let it pass. After 6 working days and still not refund I emailed them and they told me that the refund will take 14 days now. Nope. Nope. Nope. If the same happens to you please do this: Tell them you will file a chargeback with your bank for fraud and tell them you will leave negative reviews on all sites you know. This comment 'compelled' them to process my refund immediately. This is a very dodgy site, it looks like they take your money knowing they will have to refund it in a month time, why this is profitable for them? I have no clue. But stay away from this site.”

I order some items on 03/04/2015 which were all 'in stock' at time of ordering and selected a 3-5 working day delivery, the items should have arrived no later than 13/04/2015. It's now 20/05/2015 and still no items. It turns out that these people illegally advertise items as in stock which they do not have. I have repeatedly chased these items only to be confronted with what can only be described as the absolutely worst customer service (not that you can call it a service) that you will ever encounter. The items apparently came into stock yesterday and they have now told me I have to wait 3-5 days as that's what I requested when I ordered the items, what a joke, I ordered on 03/04/2015 for 3-5 working days time so I would have expected them to courier the items immediately. So if the items do arrive they will be 5-6 weeks late! Despite all my complaints and repeatably chasing them, not once have I been given a sincere apology or been offered any kind of compensation. This company is nothing but a bunch of cowboys and an absolute joke, they will most certainly not be getting my business again and I will be singing from the rooftops about them to ensure that no one I know makes the mistake of ordering from these jokers.”
“I really wish I'd had a quick look around to see the many negative reviews that Nigel O'Hara has had; my experience has been the same. I placed my order on the 24th March and it never arrived. Even more annoying was that this was the main birthday present for my son, so had his birthday with nothing to open. Then getting my money back took a ridiculously long time (18 days). In all, they had my money for just under two months. I was fed a pile of contradictory tales (for example 'your order is being fulfilled directly from the supplier' in one reply and then in another message this became 'we are expecting stock in soon').
If you're tempted by the low prices, be prepared to be disappointed. I'll never be using them again.”

Every time I contact them via phone or email, they find an excuse to hang up and they promise to call me / email me back in an hour / day but I still haven't received my product.

“I ordered a PC motherboard over 2 weeks ago. I had looked at the website carefully and noticed that a large amount of items were to 'special order' ...this was no good to me as I wanted the item reasonably quickly. This motherboard however was NOT listed as special order and had a delivery date 'window' a few days hence implying it was in stock (for curiousity I have just checked and as of today ...6th May...it says 1 left in stock and delivery by 8th may...but is it?)
However after waiting over a week I opened a support ticket asking where it was and was told that they didn't have them in stock and it had been ordered 'specially for me' and they were awaiting delivery!
They couldn't give me a definite date so after a wait now of 10 days I said I wanted to cancel.
They replied saying they were trying as best they could to speed up the order and would include a £5 voucher but I had to repeat NO I WANT TO CANCEL....I gave them till 2 full working days hence (I allowed for a bank holiday) to issue an immediate refund or I would open a case with PayPal.
They said it had been passed to their financial dept but over 2 full days later I hadn't received a refund. So this morning I took out a dispute with PayPal and this afternoon I have received the refund.
As mentioned this item DID NOT say to order only when I bought it or I never would have so they are obviously saying items are in stock when they clearly are not.
The support emails are generic ones and it takes multiple requests to get the message through to them.
I wont ever use them again (btw have just ordered the same item from another company with a 2 day delivery ...hopefully that will be correct...for £7 less) and would suggest if you do use Nigel O'Hara that you use PayPal as you will probably get a quicker refund (BTW PayPal give good support for buyers but NOT for sellers...but that's another story).
I would normally think it may have been just a one off and I may have just been unlucky but the amount of similar stories shows it is not....wish I had read the revues first”

“Similar experience to others. Ordered item, money taken from account almost immediately, item not in stock. Emailed to cancel, very prompt reply asking for patience but no date for delivery given. Eventually cancelled following third email. A week later still no refund. I have since ordered the item elsewhere and I had the item delivered before funds were even taken. It says on the web site that your money will usually not be taken until the item is despatched, I must be an unusual case.”
