We ordered a sofa and eventually when arrived it was left jammed in my hallway and was the incorrect colour. The foot stool legs were damaged and the sofa legs too plus damaged caused to the hallway and door frames. This was eventually sorted after accepting the incorrect colour and new footstool sent (this too 3 attempts until one that was not damaged arrived). We gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered TV until, mirror and side unit in the solid oak Romsey range. Tv arrived fine but mirror damaged and yet again took 3 attempts before we got one that wasn’t damaged even though not perfect I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle. We had waited 18 weeks for side unit to arrive but unfortunately when it did it was badly damaged too. Tried and tried calling with no joy I had emailed customer services with photos of damage but nothing it was only when I twittered them I eventually got a response. Please be aware of this company there furniture may state solid oak but the quality and after care service is diabolical.

Telling a customer there will be a 8 week delay 1 week before original delivery is unacceptable. I understand with Covid and Brexit most companies are having problems but you surely knew before now there would be a delay …you probably knew at point of purchase. I as many other people have now disposed of old furniture ready for delivery and I’m now sitting in an empty room for the next who knows how long. You could of handled this so much better your customer services is diabolical no answer from the phone no answer to emails I will now on principle cancel my order and enjoy my minimalist front room.

Disgraceful service and customer service from this company. Paid £1,000 for a set of wardrobes that resemble something retrieved from a tip!

DO NOT ORDER DO NOT ORDER I made an order at a store in April 2021. It is January 2022 and I still have not yet received my order. It was due to arrive in September 2020, which was already a long wait in comparison with other stores. I took a day off work for this as you have to commit to an all day slot. I got an email a couple of weeks before to say it’s not coming. I then rescheduled for November. I called up myself because I didn’t trust them at this point and they did indeed tell me it wasn’t coming for then either. I had paid extra for flexible delivery so they ended up taking that off the order seeing as I never got my items delivered on time. Then it was rescheduled for January. I called in December again concerned and they said it should be fine in January. I had also emailed concerned about all of this and it’s been a week and no one has even bothered to reply. I’m sat there watching the adverts at Xmas time where it says they can guarantee an order in time for Xmas! How? I’ve been waiting now 8 months? Now it’s 5 days until delivery and I received a text saying it is coming and I’ll get to book a delivery slot soon. NOW, I’ve got an email saying none of it is in fact coming!! Again I had taken a day off work to accommodate for the delivery. It’s just ridiculous. Every time I call I’m on hold for ages and no one can tell me when it’s actually coming. If I ordered this from any other store I would have had it by now! The service is so bad, they just say enough stuff to have me ticking over and waiting. When is it actually going to come? I don’t see the point of waiting anymore, I’m going to start looking elsewhere. If you want to avoid the same disappointment DO NOT ORDER!! I have no idea how they have good reviews, they have been terrible start to finish! I have honestly never been so infuriated and upset when ordering expensive items! They have lost a customer and I am certainly going to tell all my friends and family about this experience so they will not be purchasing either. I have never even written a review before but I feel like this has pushed me to levels of anger I’ve never felt before

Cant get through to cancel order, when i did told i would get email never did, then had to go through ringing again.. takes a very long time to get through ... beware also watch the electric recliners... no mention of cables... plugs near by or costs of running... also watch charges for cancelling hidden in small print... BuYER BEWARE

I would leave zero stars if I could, the sofa I ordered was to be delivered, and didn't fit, despite me on several occasions giving the dimensions for the front door, the delivery drivers informed me the sales staff regularly do this and its so they get the commission! The drivers where just going to leave the sofa (£2000) in the front garden for me to deal with, until I had to get on the phone to return item, for which they then had the cheek to attempt to charge me, despite on their notes it saying the dimensions. The next part of my order was due to be delivered on 04/01/22, a bed, on 31/12/21 I received a voicemail to say there was a delay, ad they didnt know a delivery time? Four days before the item was due, the staff are beyond unhelpful, bordering on rude, couldn't care less about the customer, It takes a long time to get through to customer services, ad you regularly get cut off whilst on hold, and before oakfurniture land reply and say this was due to covid, that is garbage, its been around long enough now to have contingencies in place, and at least you sould let the customer know asap, not four days before, I would highly recommend avoiding at all costs, and go to a local retailer, where we eventually had to go and which couldn't be more helpful. Oak Furnitureland is certainly one to miss.

We did have some problems with delivery of our items and then only one part of our three seater sofa arrived, and we had to wait 9 days for the other part to come but there are some people that work for Oak furnitureland that deserve a special mention. Firstly, I would like to thank and give a special mention to Kyle that works in Customer service in Swindon. Kyle went above and beyond when our initial delivery was cancelled and rang me back to try and get the delivery arranged before Christmas, thank you Kyle!! Also special thanks go to Jan and Damyian for a brilllant premium delivery service. They were helpful and professional and very friendly and assembled our sofa and took all the packaging away afterwards.

Let down twice on delivery. They happily took my money way and gave me a ‘delivery date ‘ which then was changed to a later date, and then again. In total, I had to wait an extra 3 weeks, taking the total to around 8 weeks !! Terrible service, no one made us aware until the delivery days, we would have gone elsewhere if we could have. I would take what the advisors say with a pinch of salt if buying from them. Ruined our Christmas!

I am suspicious why the overall positive reviews for Oak Furniture Land is suggest at 82% on this site when the majority of independent reviews clearly contradict that figure? Oak Furniture Land is a rouge trader that will fail to deliver on any consumer promise, please avoid!

Wow ordered sofas and a dinning set and several other pieces in August .2 weeks ago we were informed a few items were not coming till jan11 but the items we desperately needed were coming today 20th Dec as arranged .Well because the wife is just out of hospital after a cancer op and about to start chemo I thought I would make things as stress free as possible .I rang up on Sunday 19th to make absolutely sure Sofas and dinning set were definatley coming and gave our perfectly fine furniture away so they were out of the way and we were organised and clear we could could have sold them but wanted to avoid stress .Well the van turned up with a missing 3 seater sofa and we got chairs with no table .We were warned 10mins earlier by phone but I thought they must have it wrong they have to be on the van .After 40mins waiting to get through to customer services we were told it would be march before we got the other items .What good are chairs without a table and you have family coming for Christmas dinner because we have to stay in due to wife's health .This would not have been a problem if we were not promised the day before it was going to be delivered we would have kept our old furniture.I understand supply is a issue but this was ordered in August .I have had wife crying all day as we have no where for guests to sit or eat this is the last thing she needed you couldn't make it up .Absolutely gutted as we have used many times before and things were positive

Our furniture was delivered today minus an armchair which is desperately needed as both my husband and myse!f are disabled. It was purchased on the promise of delivery before Xmas but have been told a further delivery can't be made until the end of the month as all the delivery vans are booked. Customer services were very unhelpful and just kept telling me the same thing over and over again about allotted days.I shall take this further as they have not fulfilled their contract with us. We and our Xmas guests will have a lovely day sitting on the floor. Shall not shop with oak furniture again and will read reviews in the future.

Happy to take a large amount of my money in early Sept and I accepted a disappointingly long 16 week wait for delivery. Just before delivery date received a short and uninformative email saying there were delays. Called in to local shop to ask when I could expect delivery, they were helpful but told me it was probably May, another 5 months wait. Have just spent an hour and a quarter in holding queues to get through to customer services on phone to cancel order and I think not unreasonably to ask for some compensation for a long wait, in which time I could have bought elsewhere and had furniture by now and for holding on to a large amount of my money for 3 months. I asked to speak to a manager but this apparently was impossible. Totally disgusting customer care.....but very happy to hold onto my money for weeks. I wont ever buy there again and would suggest to others that there are better furniture companies out there to give your custom to.

I don’t normally write reviews; in the current world, I feel people are way too quick to fly off the handle and complain. But in this instance, I feel it’s necessary. Only time I ever say this but avoid OFL like the plague. Myself and my then-pregnant girlfriend ordered a single sofa and a 3 seater sofa in August this year, with reassurances that it will be delivered in time for Christmas and our first home. Understanding of Covid, and Brexit supply issues this was a key element of ours. After being told it would be on time, we parted with £1,600. On Saturday this weekend, we received a text to say our order is scheduled as promised for Tuesday. Tuesday 14th December comes around and 2 lads come to the door to say we only have the single sofa. This was the first time we knew about this. We accepted the single and was told the 3 seater will be here today. Having heard nothing, we have called up and have now been advised that this will coming April 2022. With the excuse “these are made to order” which is what we were told in August. We are quite fair people and understand that things get delayed or whatever. But there’s a few things they have done wrong here: • Never phoned up to tell us we wouldn’t have our full order in-between August and December • Shouldn't have to hear it from the delivery driver. • Shouldn’t have taken full payment in August with assurances it can be delivered • Paid for premium delivery which is also £100 but all the parts included in this haven’t been covered. We now have our first Christmas in our new home without a sofa, ruined and made even worse with a 6 week old. We have been offered a refund of £100 which won't help at all and is not acceptable Obviously, anyone placing an order now will not get anything in time for Christmas, but if you are thinking of purchasing in the January sales, swerve the bad customer service and massive supply issues. It's going to be August before you get your stock.

PLEASE DONT SHOP HERE!! awful service, i had a delivery date which took over a month, they then don't deliver the items and say i have to reschedule and wait another month. Absolutely ridiculous spending the money i have and then being offered only £30 to resolve the problem its disgraceful! I will be asking for a full refund and never going to be using them again.

Placed our order for 2 items of furniture in October for delivery today 15 December. Deliery van and driver turns up with the 30 minute advance call and tells us they have only one of the items. He looks surprised that customer services have not contacted us. While I ask him to wait before I take delivery of anything and speak to so called customer services, he drives off anyway. 20 minutes later customer services call me and advise that one item is out of stock due to paperwork errors and that they are having lots of problems meeting stock requirements. The next available delivery date for the 2nd item is sometime in January and that now because the delivery driver is gone the next available delivery date for the item they actually had is next week. Offer me a refund of the standard delivery charge for the "inconvenience". I have taken a dayy off work for this delivery. But now whole order is cancelled and back to square one. Need to wait 5 days for refund to be processed. A rubbish service from a company totally out of it's depth. Or is it maybe cash flow problems, robbing Peter to pay Paul. Or maybe they can blame it on Omicron. "Disgusted"

I bought a Goodwood Lounge Suite on the 22/06/2021 which there already was a problem as my son Shawn Henry couldn’t get the order through. I was going to tell him to leave it but I was so happy to get a new lounge suite. I paid cash for it on the 23/06/2021. I then got a delivery date of the 3/11/21 which I was shocked with as that was 18 weeks for a lounge suite but I accepted this. We had to collect furniture for others in my family who had bought from Oak Furniture Land clearance sale on the 31/9/21 so because we could only hire a van for the weekend and not just a day I was giving my lounge suite, which I bought from DFS 5 years before that, to a friend so we took it to her and sat on garden furniture for over a month. I then got a text message to contact Oak Furniture Land who in turn told me there was a delay for my delivery to which I as my son who had left Oak Furniture Land at the time told me my 3 seater was sitting in storage as he had inside information. I then asked the person I spoke to if I could have my 3 seater delivered as I know it was in the warehouse to which he said yes that could be arranged so he cancelled all the deliveries and didn’t put any delivery in. I then called as the delivery was late, only to be told I wasn’t getting my 3 seater. Due to the fact that the mistake was on Oak Furniture Land’s part they delivered my 3 seater on the 4/11/2021, which was greatly appreciated. We still have 2 Goodwood electric arm chairs outstanding which was supposed to be delivered on the 01/12/2021 for the first time, which got cancelled. Now by this time I am totally frustrated as all I would like is my furniture that I had ordered and paid for in June 2021. They reimbursed me my delivery charges as a good will gesture which I wasn’t happy about but accepted it. I then got a delivery date for my 2 Goodwood electric arm chairs of the 13/12/21 which I kept a close eye on and was told the labels were printed, by a sales person at Oak Furniture Land when I went into the Chester Store on the 11/12/21 which means the rest of my suite would be delivered on time, as it was on the delivery route. I then get a call at 16.55 on the 13/12/21 telling me there was a delay with my 2 Goodwood electric arm chairs, oh I was furious. The lady who’s name I didn’t hear because I was so fuming said she would call back on the 14/12/21 with a new delivery date. I called the number for delivery a while after and spoke to another lady who I didn’t get the name of and said to her how furious I was she reimbursed me another £50 as another good will gesture, which I have accepted but that isn’t the point. I was told by an employee that my lounge suite has gone to someone else as the labels were printed so it should have been delivered yesterday BUT NOT DELIVERED. I would like to just inform Oak Furniture Land I will be taking this situation further as to treat a customer like this is totally unprofessional.

Absolutely disgusting service and support, ordered two sofas and stool, paid upfront in August, agreed a delivery over the quoted time to allow for the pandemic, even though all the adverts and websites say you can have it in 8 weeks, we are now at 15 weeks, two delays lots of apologies but no sofas, Alex Fisher you have work to do here, I’m sure trading standards may have an interest in mis-information and mis-selling, however we have cancelled the order and simply taken our business else where. I would suggest any one else who is thinking about ordering anything put it on your Santa list as it got more chance of coming from him than Oak furniture land.

Delivery lets the company down. Looks like I am not the only one. Delivery hasn't shown up today and have had no update after being told it will be delayed 90 mins, which has now past. Have had to take time off work and move old furniture. A joke.

Ordered 1200 worth of furniture arranged a delivery date 26th Nov paid for flexible which cost 60 no text or email so rang after waiting 45mins to get through only to be told will be middle of January 22

Recently bought a whole new set of bedroom furniture. Sad that the salesman had no authority to make discounts given the size of the purchase however the price was clear. I think a business shows it’s true colours when things don’t go to plan. The goods were delivered on the agreed day (purchased in August, delivered in October) and with preceding emails and phone calls to keep me informed. Once I had unpacked it all I realised the bookcase was too big. It all fit, I had measured, but it didn’t look right aesthetically. I rang the company and asked if I could return the big bookcase and have the smaller one instead. This was no problem. There is a returns fee clearly posted on the website which was knocked off the refund of the price difference between the two items but I was not charged another delivery fee. The day after delivery/collection I had an email saying my refund had been processed but may take a few days to appear. The next day it showed on my credit card account. The whole process was so smooth. I would definitely use this company again and not hesitate to recommend them. The furniture itself is gorgeous and I’m really happy with it.
