Opodo - A lesson on terrible customer support. Avoid at all costs. Avoid Opodo at all costs. There are 100s of better online travel agents which will save you a lot of time, stress and probably money. My company booked a flight with Opodo and requested to receive an invoice, which was promised to arrive a few days later. That never came. So we got in touch and opened a ticket with their customer service on the 28th February!!! It is now 4th May! 6 emails, 8 tweets, and 1 response from one of their 'customer support' team members and I'm no closer to getting that invoice sent over. DISGUSTING. SIMPLY DISGUSTING SERVICE!! One star does not do Opodo justice! I will make it my crusade to report you to all of the relevant authorities including ABTA, IATA and the Trading Standard Institute and Department of Transportation. A martyr for the cause if you will. Everyone should know what an awful company you are. In addition to my initial complaint, unsubscribe links in your marketing emails were not included on multiple occasions - this will be forwarded to the relevant authorities in both the US and the European Union. I question whether Opodo realises how obnoxious and poor it is to email a customer repeated marketing offers while they awaiting responses from support agents. If I wasn't already triggered, that surely set me off.

Total thieves!!! Their service provider cancelled the flight and left me hanging. They would not refund me even after 3 attempts and 2 hours of sitting on the phone.

They booked our round trip flight from London for our wedding in Greece...or so we thought. When we were getting ready to return home to London, we discovered that they hadn't actually booked the return flight...although we received an email confirmation and receipt that "confirmed" that they did. They could not book our return flight at a similar price to what they had agreed upon in the email confirmation. They could only give us last-minute fares. I spent hours on the phone (on international calls) trying to find someone in their organization who would help us. No one seemed to care. They said we should have made sure that we got an e-ticket email. Their incompetence and complete lack of accountability cost us over £600. Never again!!!

Dont bother booking with them. Dont' let cheap flight fools you. go somewhere else worst experience ever. I booked a flight from Sydney to Melbourne. The next day I've got an email saying that the flight I booked is not available and they offered me a new time slot but i can't fly that time. (going with Tiger air and back with jet star i think) So I called them to cxl all my booking and I will book my flight again. I've got an email confirmed all cancellation from them. Then another week or two later they still charge me for the ticket. and on the next billing I've got an anonymous charge in my credit again. I've tried to contact them but it seems like very difficult to talk to someone who can manage this matter. if you email them, they will say someone will get in touch with you but NOOO!! no one ever contact me. Once I got contacted with them their staff said that my refund is on my way, I need to wait. up until now i think its almost 2 months I still haven't get my refund and I couldn't contact them again. This is international booking. I've paid so much for calling them too. They over charge me for almost 600 AUD!! one was about 500 AUD saying that they cant cxl my 1st booking (when i have email confirmed from their staff saying that everything is cancelled) another 100 AUD was an anonymous charge, i checked all my reference, i don't have that reference number and it's not mine.

I wish I had read these reviews before I booked. I paid and extra £20 for their so called Premium Service. What a joke. I have had to do everything myself. I had booked extra leg room seats. They charged me for this and than told me I had not got them because of security reasons. I emailed tech and after not having a reply got onto the airline myself. They sent me confirmation of my booking with the seats that I had paid also an extr £500 for. ( Manchester to Sydney). After 4 days Opodo sent another email saying the seats were not booked and I had to phone the airline myself. When I challenged them about this so called Premium Service, all I am getting is a load of rubbish. I asked for a refund of my Premium Service fee, and they sai d I could not have it as normally, the service is excellent. I am lost now.

Horrible customer service!!! Asked for a VAT invoice online at the time of buying the flight tickets, they sent me the wrong one. Now, I've been trying to get the correct VAT receipt for 2 weeks, applied for one on the website 4 times, got the confirmation email saying it's on its way, phoned them many times, spoke to supervisor, I was promised that it'd be sent in 30 mins, still waiting to receive it. Absolutely incompetent customer service reps promising the world but delivering very little in reality. Disappointed!

They did not confirm my flight till last minute and asked me to pay £99 for flight worth £29 I refused to pay £99 and advised them for a refund They used my card against my permission to book the ticket. The call centre has placing my calls on hold for average 45 minutes and in the end call drops. Worse experience ever, stay away if you can

Where to start...: - Worst customer support I have ever received - Terrible treatment - Scandal - NEVER TO BE USED AGAIN I have left a review on Trust Pilot about my experience with Opodo and it managed to generate some interest from them after a week of trying to contact their 'non' existent customer service team. Needless to say they were absolutely awful in following up and supporting my request. All I wanted to do was to change my flights. I had tried to call them at least 3 times before I left the review and I was on hold for 30 minutes whilst being told that I had a waiting time of 2 minutes. No one answered, I was left with the bill... I kept reiterating that whilst Opodo chooses to take their sweet time in responding to me I am the one who is going to suffer with the increase in air fairs. It got to the point where I had to plead with them to try and see my situation from my point of view, to be in my shoes whereby the prices are going up on an innocent mistake of booking the wrong flights. I received an email from Opodo. Namely someone called Moreno who was absolutely useless. I asked him many questions. I gave him detailed description of what I would like to do with the flights (eg. what dates to change them to, the times and the new locations) but he was not able to respond with any care, enthusiasm or support. Simple one line responses with no interest in solving my problem until he finally appeared to give up and tell me that I could not change my return flight as it was with a budget airline (Easyjet). I know you can change flights with easyjet. I have been informing all of friends, colleagues and family not to go anywhere near Opodo. The service is the worst I have experienced in this market and I travel regularly and therefor have a lot of experience with travel agencies etc. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THE WORST IN THE BUSINESS. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Had no conformation of flight details,tried to re adjust flights told the wrong ref number,6 digits , after long awaited phone conversation with a man who spoke broken English there web site requested a 10 digit reference number, was told my email address did not match anything but was good enough to remove £300 from my account

Can never get through to anyone on the telephone. Never sure if you are being transferred to a representative as often line is silent. Opodo took money to pay for hold baggage as offered and requested , airline confirmation was hand luggage only. Impossible to get sorted out quickly. Still waiting. Will try not to use Opodo again.

It's been 3 days that I'm trying to contact Opodo regarding on one of my flights (that was cancelled). Every time I wait at least 40min on the line and no one answers. I need to work , to study, I have more things to do... This is just unacceptable!

I tried to book a flight. Your website rejected my card three times, no booking was made. And yet you took 3 payments out of my account! There is no help available. I rang your customer line and was put through to the Finance team telephone line but they never answer the phone. I would never ever use Opodo again and from what I have seen on the internet this happens to hundreds of people all the time. It is really theft.

I was told on the 15th of November that I was get a refund for my flight in 3-5 working dys then I was told 10 dys then 20 dys now 30 & when u phone they just say its with their admin team & they will email them well I've phoned every dy in the last wk & I get told the same thing this I just a piss take now it's a scam company never again will I book with them & ive told everyone on Facebook to share so ppl know...

My booking was kept in pending for all the day. I lost my flight and had to pay for an extra stay at the hotel. Their customer support didn't even bother to answer the phone, after waiting 35 minutes on an international call.

Booked a flight which was subsequently cancelled by the airline. Promised a refund thought all ok but no......... I have spoken to eight advisers who all promised to get it sorted but nothing paid out. Blamed the airline first -spoke to them and know they paid the money to Opodo straight away. Really badly treated. Bunch of crooks in my opinion. Do not deal with this company!!

OPODO - WORST BOOKING AGENT EVER Booked with Opodo for return flight, Opodo only took payment for inbound flight. Opodo failed to contact me regarding this refused to correct the problem, told me I had to pay another £200.00 for outbound flight. Spoke to five members of Opodo team over a couple of days, all of which lied and all told different stories ( one guy told me the only way I could speak to supervisors was to call Spain !!!, told me there was no offices in UK) All Opodo members refused to give their names, said it was company policy. Told the usual that someone would call back in 24hrs, never heard from Opodo. Asked Opodo to confirm some details to which they refused and said "don't take my word for what I said" also "we don't have any details". asked why Opodo didn't contact me regarding outbound flight and was told "we don't contact customers. Was told by Opodo "there is no point asking for a refund because you won't get one". The list is endless of the very poor service from Opodo. Extremely complacent staff and extemally poor customer service. Take my advise if you like to be ripped of then book with Opodo, I would reccommend you find another agent with a better reputation, also I would strongly advise when speaking to Opodo record your conversation because when they get your booking wrong they don't want to know or help

I was looking to buy a ticket with Opodo on Thursday the 14th of Jan 2016. I entered my payment details, but then the price increased by £30 for using visa debit. When asked if i wanted to proceed with the booking, i clicked no and closed the browser. I then carried on with a e-dream website and although the price turned out to be the same, i went ahead with booking. When checked e-mails the following day, I came across booking confirmation with Opodo (As well as e-dreams). I called Opodo straight away to cancel this as it has been an error on their side, but they insisted that there was nothing wrong with the booking and that i could not cancel, as my outbound flight with BA was non refundable. After insisting that this has nothiing to do with booking policy and that it was instead an error from Opodo, they did not want to hear it. The could however confirm back to me that they do see two identical bookings in their system (one e-dreams and one Opodo) but did not take any respodibility. After raising a complaint with Opodo, i received a call from them today (19th January 2016) and they confirmed back to me that they do not take any liability and 'will not give me a penny back' citing from them and that i could however cancel the flight with Opodo but they would charge me £25. Now either Opodo's representative have absolutely no common sense at all or they are simply told to respond this way. Why would I pay another £25 to Opodo for simply canceling a flight that they should not have charged me for in the first occasion. So i would end up paying £180 for a flight i never authorized, then pay another £25 for canceling this flight (and i still do not get a penny back) and Opodo then resells this flight to someone else and makes double profit here. I am outraged by the way they handled this issue (where is simply is fault their end) and simply have not words left to describe how embarrassing and unprofessional these people are. For clients to feel like there is nothing that can be done to help and resolve an issue that their website caused, and be stuck with £180 taken off my account for no flight that was never booked, this is beyond a company that represents themselves as so professional and gives itself such a high level.

Worse company ever! You don't care about your customers! all you do is take their money for flights that don't exist then email them after a while with the time change, then asking them money for the change... a change that nobody asked... a change that is your mistake...expecting us to pay... then, when customers complain about the extra fee... advise them to cancel waiting again for the refund... Unacceptable! You are a shame to the industry... Jokers!

Communication is non existent - numerous emails not replied to, phone calls disconnected without issue being resolved, phone number not listed properly on website, on line booking stated that my booking had not been processed but  booked me twice on the same flight when I repeated the booking. They are however very good at taking money out of my account but not surprisingly it was also incorrect. I could and will not recommend them or use them again.
