Zero stars would be too many for this company. Due a refund for baggage when the airline was changed a few days before flying to Geneva. I have made about 10 (long and frustrating) calls to try to get the refund paid. I have been lied to constantly but ignorant, robotic like agents, have had to give my bank details 3 times and over a month later still no refund. This company must be run by criminals going by the number of similar and worse stories. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I sent this to Opodo this morning but no response. “Five of us arrived at Birmingham Airport at 4am for a BA 6am flight to Florence for a family wedding on Sat 25 May 2019. The app said flights confirmed and on time. But noone at the airport knew anything about this flight saying that BA no longer flew from Birmingham to Florence!!!!! Two children, one of which was due to be a bridesmaid at the wedding and a lady in her late 70s. All very tired. Then the long process of speaking to Opodo which took hours. We were just transferred from one person to another but it was useless. They said it was the fault of B A and that WE shd speak to them at 10am when they opened. We said they should speak to them but they said it was not their responsibility. We asked several times for alternative flights but were told this was not possible. Nothing was possible. We started to look for alternative flights. We did not have much choice. We either went to Manchester for a flight later in the afternoon or miss the wedding. There were no flights the following day. So we booked the last seats on the Manchester flight at 14.40. This was £1102 plus £125.55 for train fares. It took hours and two trains. You can imagine how we felt. We had to spend more money on drinks and meals because we had to wait for many hours for our flight. We were due to meet family for a day in Florence but we didn't arrive until evening and it was dark so we missed all that and were too exhausted to do anything. We missed the pre booked evening meal so a further Deliveroo food delivery €23.27. I have been in touch with BA who say it is the responsibility of Opodo and not them. We returned yesterday on a Jet 2 fight. Jet 2 informed us that the flight was delayed by 45 mins but the Opodo app still showed the original time!! I started to try to get this sorted out this morning at 09.45 and at 10.45 and after being transferred to three different people I realised it was no good. They said they had to speak to BA. I said I had already done that and they told me it was not their responsibility as they have said from the start. I had to hold on for a long time while this happened. I was still told that BA was responsible for the flight being "cancelled". I stressed that it was not cancelled. They no longer flew to Florence from Birmingham. I wanted to speak to a senior person but it didn't happen. I am a little concerned that I had to transfer money from a savings account and have lost interest. I thought i wd be reimbursed immediately I got back but it now seems I have to seek legal help. Opodo have made it completely impossible to get any help. Is this really how we should be treated. It is now 13.33 and I have been trying to get help since 09.45 this morning. I don't know what to do. I have called a firm of solicitors to seek advice PS. The first 5 tickets I paid for cost £1,617.76 and then a further £1,102.00. Our trip was ruined. I need this money refunded quickly. “

Hi, I have bought last night a flight from Stansted London to Billund Denmark. I have choose the date of departure with return, I have paid everything online and I discovered on email that Opodo changes the date of departure?!? Scam Company!?! I have bought many times my flights with Opodo few years ago but I knew they was ok! Now it’s different; they are acting like a scam and they charge you for everything! Probably is better to buy direct to Airline Company instead to use Opodo!!!

A nightmare! I booked 2 tickets last week with them without even realising that it was Opodo. I searched through Skyscanner for a deal to Corsica. I ended up on Travelgenio, which I searched after not receiving any confirmation. It turns out it is a dodgy company so I got worried when I still didn't get no confirmation whatsoever via email. Then I received a TEXT MESSAGE???? the next morning with suspicious looking links on it, saying that it was Opodo. I contacted my bank and they confirmed that I had two pending transactions from Opodo uk, and Opodo Barcelona. They caused me so much anxiety that I decided to cancel the whole thing, I cannot trust a company like this. I called them and had a rather heated discussion with customer service. I opted for a flexible cancellation option when booking the ticket just to be on the safe side. It turned out that out of £547 I only get about £350 back. It is supposed to be 80%. Turns out they do not refund seat reservations or any other charges.. it's in Terms and conditions but nobody reads that when booking and they know this. I exchanged a few emails with a customer service representative but just after I posted a review online. They contacted me the same day. Turned out that I could get the seat charges refunded too, because AIR CORSICA FAILED TO ALLOCATE MY SEATS ????? At this point I was very happy that I cancelled the trip. What if I expect this journey to happen but I find that I do not even have any seats reserved on this flight? I read other reviews where customers say that They ended up without seats and they only found out at the airport. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are a joke.

my flight will be 2nd June . but haven't got boarding pass yet on 31th May . Cos Opodo did not give seat in flight which never happened whole my life before . Scammer !! Even I really did not know about this opodo . why they appeared on Ryanair site all of sudden . Ryanair said that opodo is thirdy party which is unauthorised. Opodo is screen scraping website . Therefore Ryanair currently engaged in litigation with opodo . Opodo still running business in Uk ? they are robbery . I really do not understand in UK Business system . A lots of customer scammed by this corn artist . but literally who care ??? What a Shame .

Avoid avoid avoid. Booked my flights and within 24 hours was told my flights cannot be confirmed and if i want to confirm them i have to pay the new increased price . disgusting

Not transparent payment process with Opodo: I made a booking with opodo. I have not "opodo prime membership", so I did not introduce any information regarding my membership like log in with a password or introducing a membership number. Even though I did not set any information regarding membership, so, (what they call normal fare applies), the final price did not show the final ticket price without the prime membership discount, taking into account the fact that I am NOT a prime member. The "Gesamtpreis" in German or "Amount to pay" did not clarify to me with a warning that even though I did not introduce Prime membership information the shown amount was still the prime fare (NONSENSE). My credit was charged around 50 euros more of what I clicked. This is definitely not a transparent company practice. As in ANY payment platform, the final amount has to be what you finally pay. They should update their payment platform properly to show the correct amounts since it is extremely confusing for customers. It can not be as it happened to me, that you click to pay one amount and it charges your credit card another. It is a really questionable practice not to be transparent in the payment process with the customers. I contacted their customer support (first through a chat in which you get reply from a chat robot on Facebook and later on with a person through their Call Cente, the phone number was given to me by the chat robot!, incredible that on their website they don't include as contact information an email address, the contact phone numbers for each country are not listed either). The person I talked to, gave me (finally) a contact email address. I wrote an email with a formal complaint (including print screen prove of what I agreed to pay) and received no reply. Summing up, definitely not a nice experience with Opodo! Sorry for the long review, just wanted to tell my experience so that other people are more careful when you book with them!

At last an extra €35 was unexpectedly charged for unknown reasons. I still didn't have my confirmation or an ticket.. When typing my name, I hope it went ok, because my whole name is very long. I did receive an email to confirm my flight by phone, when I read these reviews I hope this will.go right... When I have read all these experiences, I would not have booked with opodo......there is still a little change that this all will turn out well, I am curious... if it does, I will write another r review... for this moment, after one-and half day of stress, I only grant Opodo 1 star

scammer . they sold ticket without seat . I do not have reservation seat which I did aware before so I could not print out my boarding pass due to no reservation number . I discussed with Ryanair customer service regarding my boarding pass issue . they told me that I do not have seating on flight . flight ticket price should be including seat . what a corn artist . do you think I have to buy seating ticket as well ???? sham on your trick . third party mean is scammer .

Really terrible customer service..no support regarding refunds, misleading information given by the advisors and supervisors. Made a very big mistake in booking with opodo !! Something that is simple to sort out in 30 mins they advisors dragged on to 8 days and still no resolution My ADVISE IS PAY EXTRA POSSIBLY €20-30 AND GET A GOOD SERVICE

accommodation with Opodo in November 2018. All seemed fine... they sent endless emails about everything from choosing seats to checking in online. When I followed the link to check in online a few weeks before we were due to fly they said this option was no longer available. But still, the emails continued. They advised me to download the Opodo app, so I did: big green tick and message saying "Booking confirmed! Congratulations, enjoy your trip!" The day before we were due to drive to Stansted from York for our flights, my boyfriend rang the airline to check baggage allowance...the airline knew nothing about us. We rang Opodo a few times and got the same response each time: they rattled off all the booking details, but then said the flight was overbooked and unfortunately we didn't have seats. I asked why and the guy hung up. Another staff member went through all the same guff again before telling me I'd get a full refund within 48 hours. Of course I didn't, and we were left with no holiday at all. A small amount of research showed that they've been doing this to people for years, so congratulations if you're one of the lucky ones who gets the place on the deliberately overbooked flight, and screw you if you're not. I logged a claim with PayPal, who I made the payment with, and they escalated it on my behalf. Opodo didn't respond, so over a month later PayPal found in favour and have just given me a full refund which is a massive relief. Opodo's behaviour was calculated and criminal, and I would urge people not to take the risk. Book directly with an airline and save yourself the stress, and potential loss of money.

Not only are they TERRIBLY invasive, but their prices arent nearly as good as MANY other sites. Now they have the guts to "offer" this "prime" price, which means you pay a yearly fee... what in the name of f are they thinking? "Let´s show inflated prices unless they pay a fee"... suuure.

absolutely awful customer services! despite deducting £826 cancellation charges for 4 passengers, its been over three weeks, still not received the refund yet, every time I call, they say it will be refunded, but never received the money. Don't trust them, avoid using them at any cost!! they are only good at booking your tickets, once something goes wrong, they are awful. Customer service has no clue what to say!!

Booking with Opodo is straight forward and easy and so is their app as long as everything is smooth sailing. Once there is an issue it's a whole new ball game. Get ready to wait for a minimum of 30 mins and get to speak to a front line team that lure you into a false sense of they are doing something only to escalate your call to a senior team who seem to get worse. They take no real responsibility and have no clue what they are talking about as they use scripted responses. My example was where my flight was cancelled and the airline offered to repay the cost of booking my flight home on any airline within the same class or hotel stay till they were able to book me on the next available flight. Their only request was to do this through the Opodo as they booked the ticket. None of which Opodo new about or acknowledged and only to be told by the agent that I should not argue with him as he knew better on what the airline rules were. Luckily I went down to the airport anyway and the airlines took care of everything for me and rebooked me on the next flight, ensured I was ok and called mine just before boarding. I later got an email from Opodo telling me that my flight had been rebooked several hours later when I was already checked in. Never again - I would rather pay a little extra and book directly with an airline . Thank you Opodo for you terrible terrible service.

I have been dealing with Opodo regarding a refund that was sent to Opodo from Easyjet. I have been on chats with their customer service 3 times so far and each was about 2 hours long. When I ask a question, they took about 5 minutes to respond. Each time typing "please wait" every few minutes. When it came to loading the supporting documentation, they said it was taking too long and ended the chat. BTW, I was not loading it slow at all. By the third chat session, I had their tactics figured out and sent documents within 2 seconds because I had everything pre-loaded and ready to go. Their response was then that they never received them, or I sent it to the wrong email address. My response to that tactic was to send them screen shots that were indisputable that not only were the documents sent, but to the correct email address. They even went as far as to say that I could not forward an email to them (which what they originally asked for) but had to print it out, scan it, and attach it to an email that they sent... all in an effort to say that I was not responsive fast enough so they could end the chat. Unfortunately for them, that tactic did not work as I had all the documents and emails scanned as well. When all their tactics no longer worked, they resorted to saying the email and invoice from Easyjet, which clearly showed a refund was sent to Opodo, was not adequate. Easyjet had previously emailed me all the proof that they had that a refund was sent, as well as written an email that stated a refund was sent. On this third chat session, at the 1 hour and 40 minute mark, the very rude customer service rep realized he had no other delay and avoidance tactics left and quickly typed "is there anything else we can help you with" and immediately ended the chat as I was typing "yes". The best way to deal with this HORRIBLE company and their EVEN MORE HORRIBLE customer service it to call your bank and cancel all credit card charges or open a dispute. I called my bank and the charges were reversed in 1 day. I should have saved my time, effort, and aggravation by not dealing with these crooks to begin with, but once I did, should have resolved the problem with my finance company. Opodo obviously had no intention of deal with it honestly. My advice - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I travel quite a bit and this has got to be the worst travel company I have EVER dealt with in my life!!!

horrible, horrible company extremely bad service they are incompetent and their website gives misleading information the employees give misleading information - they do not care about the client - each time you contact them they reply using a template email without even reading what clients ask them they lied to me - they told me i would not get charged but i did. They do not let clients make complaints - their website doesnt work NEVER USE OPODO EVER STAY AWAY AT ALL COST
