“I use several mailing companies and the delivery service and customer service at Parcelforce is well below the average. I have used them for sending and receiving mail, problems with late deliveries ( a few days, not just a few hours), no slips being left to say parcel is at the depot, receiving a slip to collect a parcel and then when I have went to collect it, it isn't even at the depot ready for collection yet. Any time I have contacted the customer service dept. I have just been passed from pillar to post and just given different excuses by each person. Todays mishap with them will be the last for me as I will no longer use them for sending any mail, this might cost a few £s more to use another company but at least I know from experience there will be less chance of any mishaps.”
“Waited in all day for a delivery, taking a day off work. I followed the online tracker which said out for delivery but by 1749 I realised it clearly wasn't coming. I took several screen shots until the tracker very much like other comments changed to "second delivery attempt scheduled". No card left, no way I could have missed them, clearly no attempt made. Poor service by a company clearly unable to compete with the other excellent providers currently operating”
“Today, for the 2nd time in a week, I waited at home the entire day for a Parcelforce deliver that never materialised. At 17.30 I checked online and was informed that there had been a 'delivery attempt' at 16.45. However, there was no notice left in my mailbox, and had someone actually attempted to ring my door, I certainly would have heard it. Today I had even left a note with an alternative way to contact me in case they weren't able to operate the intercom system for some reason. Really unacceptable service. People rearrange their work and schedules to accommodate these (failed) deliveries. An absolute waste of time and money. I hope retailers will finally realise the real cost of using such a poor 'service' and go elsewhere.”

“Dreadful business. Shipped to Sweden, paid for texts for 'out for delivery' and 'delivered'. Tracking claims they notified addressee to collect from a 'Parcelshop', my customer has heard nothing, Parcelforce deny all knowledge of a 'text advice system' although it's clearly on the internet booking form and they took my money for it.
If this is the best export service we have in the UK then, as a Country we are completely stuffed!”

Be aware, parcels are going missing after being "Exported from the UK", which they have not been yet, as there is another stage "Sorted for export" before they leave the UK. So, in their supposedly super secure customs clearance area at Heathrow, parcels are going missing. Mine did: 118cm x 17cm x 17cm, so no small parcel. “Absolute Joke, Sent a letter to Italy paid £47 for guaranteed next day delivery and took 5 days to arrive, not only did this cost me business it also cost me over £15000 in lost commission which i will never see again. Why advertise guaranteed next day if you cannot fulfil. Told me to put a claim in, whats the point ill maybe get my £47 back. DO NOT USE!!!!”

Recipient informed me that Parcel Force are heavy handed with their parcels and tend to throw them around. She said she has had nothing but problems from this company. “Worst courier company and customer service I ever experienced.
My package was supposedly delivered at my house 4 times over 2 days.
I was home the entire time and never heard anyone ring the bell/knock.
Their courier did not even leave any notes to tell me he dropped by or give me any indication of what I should do, so I am pretty sure he never even dropped by.
Through the online tracker I found out I was then supposed to pick up the parcel at a parcelshop (no further details). I contacted the Parcelforce customer service to complain and ask which parcelshop I should go to.
They just passed me on to another courier company that I should contact with yet another reference number and where not friendly at all.”
“I only found out that my parcel had been left at the local post office when I contacted the sender, parcelforce said they had attempted delivery and left a card they had done neither. I am reasonably intelligent but not psychic,they were probably too bone idle to bother.

“I used the parcel tracker site and found the Item which had come from Germany saw the item was planned for a route out for delivery I immediately contacted the customer service team to advise that because they have no text messaging system of notification of intended delivery I would not be at the address to sign asked if they could contact the driver waste of time my deliveries are now regularly just left at the local post office which is inside a remote Tesco express store the post office counter staff member is a very petite lady and the package weighs 25kg she can not lift it and I have to go into the back room behind the counter against all security arrangements I have had to rate them one star that's not my opinion they are a total disgrace there should be a minus 25 star rating for people to use probably for most reviews on this site, Can we all start to get this out on media I am now constantly asking my suppliers to not use them I am asking my european suppliers to use hermes international a far superior service this company needs to be put out of business.”

“Everything went fine in shipping four parcels from Texas U.S.A. and through UK customs until Parcelforce got hold of them! Called to get the reference numbers as they use different numbers to the tracking numbers for payments. One number would not be recognized by their system so I called again, got transferred to Newcastle where no one picked up the phone and the call got redirected to Preston! Called back after the weekend and was told the number was not "live" and they would have to call I.T. to have it corrected, or I could go in and pick the parcel up myself! I'm in Texas! They couldn't take a card payment over the phone as their system is all electronic. Terrible service and one that makes me ashamed that my fellow Brits should run such a slack operation. I don't blame the ground "troops" but as with many companies today, poor management by people out of touch with the real world.”
