I bought a pair of sennheiser headphones that cost 350£(which is a lot of money for me) a week ago in the Luton airport store, the headphones were 20£ off and the employee told me it's only because it's the last one and the box is open. I believed him and bought them and was off to my flight ... I then found out that they were missing the original micro USB cable and the original carry bag was damaged. Immediately when I landed I sent their costumer service an email with the electronic receipt they sent me explaining everything that happened. Their only solution is for me to fly back to London or to give the headphones to somebody that will physically take the headphones back to the store inspect the headphones and change them for me. I told them that they must handle the repercussions of the lies that I've been told by their representative and at least let me send the headphones back via mail and they said no. very poor costumer service, it does show like the many reviews I read that they only care about the sale and don't care about the clients. BEWARE!

Pushy and dishonest staff eager to make a sale, but do not honour their refund policy. Despite having the receipt and unopened item, the sales assistant proceeded to find excuses not to honour my refund. Just keep this in mind before making any expensive purchases, especially considering the lies they tell you to make the initial sale.

Bought an HP laptop from Brighton, Western Rd shop, and paid them handsomely for a plug’n’play set-up, explaining that I needed an emergency replacement for my Acer, which had just eaten its hard drive. They promised to supply within 90 minutes, all set up, and phone me when it was ready. Five hours later, I had to go back to the shop (they don't answer their phone) and stand there while they finished the job. Got laptop home, only to find that their tech had put his personal password on the computer systems, so I couldn't even get into it. Took it back to the shop. Tech took his passwords off, and gave no word of apology. Got home again, and found that I couldn't get my email to send. As a journalist, this meant I couldn't work. Took it back again the following day. This time, Jiri, their tech ‘expert’ couldn’t get the email to send after repeated attempts. Then he lost his temper and very rudely blamed me for using an ‘obscure’ email provider. I asked to whom I could complain about my experience. He said 'no one', then had the gall to suggest that I come back when I had a 'better attitude'. I have no tech skills at all. But I decided to try and have a fiddle myself. Went into advanced email settings and unclicked the 'require SSL receipt' box, as a blind guess. It worked. Took me all of two minutes. I've had bad experiences with this chain before. I feel like a mug for ever going back again.

I have spent well over 3 hours (yesterday and today) trying to contact your firm about the status of this repair (at my cost)-without success. Your automated system did not recognise the repair number nor my telephone number even though both are clearly printed on the docket. Your useless customer service system will not allow me to speak to a real person about this problem. I returned the item on 2 December because the battery lasted only 4 hours playing music when it is supposed to last 30 hours. The local store in Stockport (2828) said they would call me when the repair was done. That has not happened. I think 5 weeks is long enough. Your customer service is frankly abominable. I was not prepared to wait any longer and went to the store to obtain a full refund for the items I bought on 27/10/16, so that I can purchase a similar product from a more trustworthy source.

My other half bought me a laptop for my birthday as I was studying. Less than 4 months later the hard drive became corrupt. PC world have agreed this and have written the laptop off. They will not send a replacement or a refund, instead they want to send me the laptop that they have written off for me to take it to a local store (nearest one is 20 miles away) to have it exchanged or refunded. This was not purchased from a store it was purchased online. I have spent hours on the phone and keep getting nowhere. I will be taking this further and will be claiming all my calls etc back from them. Please WHATEVER you do, DO NOT buy from these incompetent idiots who wouldn't know how to deliver Customer Service if it was microchipped into their brains

Rubbish. bought a PC and they tried to sell me al the add-ons. Then tried to sell me the insurance which I declined. then got to the checkout and discovered they were trying to take €4 per week direct debit. Also having given them my address and contact number for the guarantee started receiving texts from pc world in the UK! I am not a happy customer and will take my business elsewhere.

I have visited various stores now and every time had extremely poor service. Asking advice on any products is a total waste of time, the staff in my experience have been unfriendly, rude and do not seem to know anything about the products they are selling. I will never shop here again and from all the bad reviews here I can see I'm not the only one.

I ordered the Microsoft Office Home for Download and never received an email confirmation let alone the software to download. After waiting a few hours and it still not arriving, I phoned the help desk. I have never had such poor service before. I have phoned previously for assistance and it has been good but this was shocking. I was on the phone for over an hour, passed around to about 6 different people and even 'lost' when put on hold by their wonderful technical support. When I spoke to technical support for the short 3 minutes before getting lost, he agreed I should have received it by then and that there was an issue (he managed to find my order and account). He then lost me when I was put on hold, I got a lady who didn't know what was going on, I asked her to put me through to the cancellations and refund department as I was running out of time by this point. After being on hold for another 5-7 minutes, I was not put through to that department but another lady who now couldn't even find me on the system when the initial technical guy could (said my email address didn't exist). I then got cut off and NO ONE, despite me giving them my mobile number, called me back. That was over an hour of my morning absolutely wasted and I am no where nearer to resolving the issue! Have now emailed. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service and will not ever be returning to PC World ever. There are enough other shops out there that offer a much better service!

Bought a Dyson handheld online on the 4th December. Got an email saying that it was going to be delivered on the 9th December. When nothing was delivered for ten days I rang in and was told that it was sent to dpd on the 18th and would be with me shortly. I rang in Christmas Eve and was told that the information I was given was incorrect and the order had "failed" on the 19th December. So I rushed around and found one at the Colchester store for £60 more than the original purchase price, but as it was a gift that had been specifically requested I bought that. Today I arrived home and found the Originally ordered Dyson on my doorstep. Of course there are many things wrong here; 1. It's 25 days after the order date. 2. I was told it was cancelled. 3. I've bought another for £60 more (and had to drive to Colchester for the pleasure). Absolutely terrible service.

Disgusting service. Went to Preston branch to buy a iphone cable. Went to 3 different tills before I actually got served and it then took the lady 20mins to serve me and then I was not given a receipt. Disgraceful service will not be going to PC world again and will be advising others to do same.

I went to the Wolverhampton branch looking for a smart watch, I had to find a member of staff then suddenly had three attending to me. Two weren't interested and the other stunk of B-O, eventually got one of the watches out but didn't have any charge in it so couldn't have a proper look, I then left very disgruntled, my advice DO NOT go here find an alternative even if it's more expensive!

Absolutely shocking customer service. I have had my TV for 6 months, it has been faulty for the last 2. On 2 occasions you have failed to pick it up at the arranged time. I have then packaged it up and taken it into the Winterstoke Rd, Bristol Branch. They said it would be back in a week. I then called up on the date it was due back in, only to be told it cannot be found. It then took you 5 days to tell me if still cannot be found. It is now going to take you 3 days to offer me a voucher for the price of the TV that you have lost. I originally purchased the TV after visiting 3 branches that day because it was the last one you had. It is now a discontinued TV. You have to give me the exact model if not better. I am not paying anymore money towards a newer version. I have been paying insurance on the TV and you expect me to pay money towards a new TV because you lost my last TV. Sort yourselves out. If I don't get a new TV in 3 days you will hear a lot more from me.

Looking at wearables: 'How does this tell the time? ' 'I don't really know. ' ' May I take take a look at it? ' ' I'm afraid not. ' ' How can I make my purchasing decision? ' ' It's management rules and I don't know much above these! ' ' Is there someone who does? ' ' I'll see..... ' 2nd sales... He knew very little about it too.. ' Would you demonstrate it for me? ' ' I can't, it's a dummy. ' (Not alone!) ' Customers steal them. ' ' How can I decide whether or not I want to buy it, all I can do is stroke a dummy? (The item, not the person.) 'You should Google it!' I commented that management is inept and leaves its workforce exposed to inadequacies.

Laptop slow and randomly shuts down. They removed a part without replacing it, blamed me and now want to charge e £210 to replace it. There is evidence that they removed this but they are trying to use any means possible to get out of it. Terrible customer service once something goes wrong. I have heard many similar stories from other people- avoid this company!!!!!
