My gripe is not with the store but the telephone help line. After going through innumerable choices I finally got to speak to a Human Being. I explained my problem to the chap three times - eventually he understood my query and said he would transfer me to the store. I pointed out that the call was costing me 12p per minute and asked for the local store number; he said he was not allowed to divulge the number! I then asked him to transfer me to Bangor in Northern Ireland, he asked for my postal code which I provided. A decidedly non-Northern Irish voice answered the phone. I repeated my problem to this member of staff who told me to bring the machine back into the store. I asked the guy if I was through to Wales or Northern Ireland - he replied "Wales". PC World really should get their act together - this is completely unacceptable and was a complete waste of my time and money.

So today a friend and I worked in to Curry's PC world Leicester with the attention of buying a Samsung tablet Andy Sony 50-inch TV we walked in there were about 12 members of staff 2 customers at this time and agreed we were not dressed smartware however we waited patiently for a member of staff the information about a tablet that we were looking to purchase we will not approached and then when my friend highlighted this in an angry we were told because we were being disruptive to get out of the store adviser advisers but this was poor customer service and for the behaviour of individual staff members we left this has been one of the work experiences I have ever received in the customer satisfaction thank you PC World and Currys as you have now got my loyalty but I would never purchase a product from your organisation

My headphones broke and I had lost the receipt, but they accepted the exchange as they kept the receipt on file. Also they were out of stock so they ordered a new pair to the store, which arrived with 15 hours!

I bought a Samsung TV that failed after two months. PC World customer services gave me the 'phone number for the manufacturer's customer services and told me I have to resolve the issue directly with them. I consider this to be completely unacceptable, I purchased the product from PC World, so they should sort out any guarantee claim themselves. This situation is exacerbated by the fact that the manufacturer's (Samsung) customer services are equally hopeless and I am not confident of a working TV any time in the near future.

Went into st helens store. Where they are straight at you asking do you need help. Which is gteat until 11 months later ypu realise they didnt help you at all they just helped you to flush your money away. I asked for a computer and printer for my daughters college work and attachments. I did not give a price limit . Was advised on a computer that was surprisingly alot cheaper than had expected. But me knowing nothink anout computers put my trust in the sales man. The computer has been the worst thing ever. She cannot do any college work on it. I thought it was the home intetrnet but then other devices worked fine. It has got worse so went back to st helens where i was told for the first time that software issues are not coveref by warrenty. I was then told the computer was not good for what she was trying to do. Only good for very lite internet use and emails. What a waste of money. I will now need to buy another computer because of a sales person who does not know what they are talking abput. I will of now spent over a thousand pound on computers ..one being a total desaster. My kindle works faster.

From the moment I entered the store, staff wanted nothing to do with me. I arrived at the Bolton store to buy a laptop for university and waited 20 minutes for assistance. Then was 'greeted' coldly by a member of the staff who discouraged me from the laptops I was viewing (around £250) and constantly tried to persuade me with laptops in excess of £400. He then became very rude when I told him no and was even ruder when I told him I didn't want a care plan saying "there will be a £50 charge when you bring your laptop back for any reason, which you obviously can't afford". I was taken aback and would discourage anybody from using PC World again.

I was better off with the service received at John Lewis, they were not pushy and listened to customers!

I wanted to buy a new laptop last month as I needed an upgrade. The sales assistant was unprofessional, had little product knowledge and kept forcing me to buy the more expensive product (I did my research beforehand and knew exactly which laptop I wanted to buy). She even brought her manager over to persuade me to buy the more expensive item, I clearly told them I only wanted a laptop for work purposes and not for any fancy features which they were reluctant to acknowledge. I understand this is a sales tactic but I sure as hell will not be shopping there again, well done for driving loyal customers away!

Long story short...went to shop to buy Pc. Wasn't in the stock so I payed for it, its been ordered by one of the staff and I supposed to pick it up from store after phone call from them. Was waiting 7 days!!! Went to shop and it still wasn't there...where they guarantee 24 hour delivery if you will buy on-line. How come for store delivery you have to wait 10 days!!! Customer service was a joke too!!! Never again!

Ordered online. 4th day and still not dispatched and no tracking number. Customer service reps clearly untrained and unable to deal with difficult situations. Best they could offer is 'you should have a tracking number by Monday' when today is Friday and I placed the order on Tuesday. No resolution offered. Refund requested but told 'no as the order had processed' and that I would have to wait for the goods to arrive and send them back and the refund process could take 14 days. This is on an order of £800. Absolutely horrendous and appalling service.

I'm in the Crawley branch as I'm writing this and we have been waiting for 34 minutes for assistance and when asked we were directed to one person, to the next. Finally a gentleman has come and offered to assist and is being helpful. Maybe they knew I was writing this review??

To start with not all stores are so poor Leeds were excellent however when made my mind up about my new laptop York store was my closest local, before I spent a excess of £1,000 I wanted some more information, all the staff at York Clifton more staff could not of been more UNHELPFUL if they tried they new absolutelynothing and made no attempt to help! They showed such a lack of interest in the possibility of a sale. Leeds were so pleasant and helpful what a stark contrast within in the same company.

Returned an iPad to PC World in Hove after the Apple Store advised fault was not repairable but it was covered under 2 year lapse period in Consumer Goods Law. Firstly I called PC World to confirm. They agreed and told us to take it back to store for replacement. Took it back to store, where assistant and duty manager refused to replace despite being shown help line email. Called help line again, they told us to get Apple to email diagnostic and replacement estimate and take a copy of that into store with us. Did just that and, the Apple not together with getting help desk on mobile phone while in store and giving store manager my phone to talk with his own help desk resulted in a very grudging promise to replace. Dreadful experience. The Apple Store advised that if the iPad had been bought from them they would have replaced it - no questions asked. PC World will not be getting my custom again.

I ordered online, pay and collect. No problem. They took my money. Got a dispatch email. Went to store to collect three days after order. No item. Staff spent 40 minutes to discover that the item I had ordered and been charged for had never been in stock. Told me there was a store an hour away that had one, but I would have to travel and get it myself (ignoring that I'm medically unable to make such journeys). Should not have sold me an item that does not exist in their warehouse.

In March of this year I bought a pink HP laptop from PC world for £289.99. A few weeks ago the laptop wouldn't charge so today I finally managed to bring it into the store. The gentleman said the laptop was faulty and said it was an OLD model which Curry's PC world doesn't even sell anymore and that I should call customers services to see if I can get the new version and pay the difference. I thought this was a new laptop when I bought it! I am someone that is absolutely clueless about PCs and just thought it was a cute pink laptop. I chose the cheaper model, because I thought it had less power than the more expensive version which would have been fine for me as I only use it to browse at home. If I would have wanted a second-hand laptop I would have gone on eBay and bought one there for far less!!! Your helpdesk has said it says when you buy it that it says it was refurbished. 1. I didnt see that 2. Does refurbished mean that I get a SECONDHAND laptop which costs me £290 and breaks within a few months? I am extremely upset. I have offered to pay the difference to get a NEW laptop but of course they wont do that - as they are a bunch of thieves selling OLD items for a totally overpriced rate

Two years ago I leased a laptop and the salesman lied about what was covered by the lease. He said I had a free service after a year and I didn't. He also said I would get a replacement if mine went wrong - it did I didn't! When I complained the store manager said it was my fault for believing the salesman and not checking the small print. The final straw was handing it back. I booked it to go back 5 days before the end of the lease and didn't get an acknowledgement that it would be collected. The lease people said they couldn't help and the DPD service centre staff said I wasn't down for a collection so I walked it back to the store (6 mile round journey) only to be told that it wouldn't be back in time to stop me being charged for another month but I could pay for a private courier. When I got home - DPD had been so poor service from PC World and DPD!

I am absolutely gobsmacked by the service I have received from your eBay store! My mother ordered me a laptop for my birthday. I eventually picked it up Wednesday night and took it home. Once I got it home, I unpacked it and set it all up. I then came to realise that it was the wrong one. After a 5 mile round trip to the store, two phone calls and three emails I eventually had a phone call back Thursday evening. Apparently the wrong one was put in the box. The guy I spoke to said to me he would sort it out and get back to me this morning. I heard nothing all day until 5 when the offices shut for the weekend saying that there is nothing they can do so they will email me a returns label. Funny how he waited till then and emailed me rather than calling me! There has been no offer of any replacement when I know there are ones on your eBay still, just a different colour! I am appalled by this service and I will never be using you again!!!
