“We had traveled a long way from Edinburgh to view two pre-registered Discovery Sports in Aberdeen to find both cars were not available as they were management cars not on site. We had phoned ahead to be advised the cars were available to view. Rob the business manager became involved as I was not happy and ready to leave. He recovered the situation producing two other Discovery Sports to test drive. The pre-sales person was very helpful arranging the test drive. I then noticed a new car in the yard which took my interest - there was a change of salesman as we were passed onto new sales. I understood why the change as I had changed direction. Throughout all the discussions Rob was overseeing to ensure we were happy.
I had a bad experience with Pentland Land Rover in Edinburgh when I purchased the Evoque and thought the same was happening with Vardy.
After a poor initial start - the situation was recovered thanks to Rob - he apologised for my poor customer experience and made sure the two young salesmen met all my requirements. I received a trade-in matching Pentland and extras included in the package authorised by Rob.
On the day of collection we were managed by a third salesman - which I was advised in advance and he was also really helpful with the car handover. We were made to feel really special with the car under the black sheet - a really nice touch for collecting a new car.
Summary:
Sort out telephone calls when discussing car availability.
The black sheet over the car was a really nice touch - really impressed
Rob needs a medal for sorting out an unhappy customer
The young salesmen did an excellent job under Rob's direction
I would have liked a business card to mention the sales staff names
I went from a poor customer experience to an excellent customer experience. I will mark Peter Vardy with Top Marks when contacted with Land Rover.

“Bought a nearly new van as advertised on their website and ebay, it transpired the van advertised/shown on site was not the van for sale in fact the van they were selling was their parts van which was still being used when I came to pick it up!! There was no spare key nor service book or manuals with the van however promises were made these would be ordered and sent out to me within a few days (nearly 3 months on and i'm still given excuses that they're on 'back order' which is bs !!).
A VERY small discount was offered for the inconvenience with the assurances the van would be put through the workshop with comprehensive checks done and be ready in a couple of days. 3 days later upon collecting it, the sales manager drove from workshop then had to rake it back in due to a glow plug fault, an hour later I managed to take ownership of the van and drove off. Within 10 minutes I had to return to the Peter Vary Seafield dealership with a severe knocking noise coming from the rear of the van. I was advised all the senior staff were in a meeting but someone would call me and arrange to uplift the van to check out the noise - needless to say this never happened!! After A LOT of calls to this dealership they had the van for 7 days with the assurances it had been fixed and thoroughly checked over (the knocking noise was due to the rear suspension collapsing!!)
To date it's been back twice and has to go back a 3rd time as it's still not right, each time it is off the road costs money in lost revenue which Peter Vardy don't seem to appreciate.
This has to be the worst dealership I've had the misfortune to buy from, their sales 'patter' is what customers want to hear but clearly they cannot or will not deliver on promises .
It's now come to the point of taking legal action for mis selling as the van was mis represented in the first instance, their advent clearly states there was NO Road Fund Tax which was a great selling point this turned out to be a 'computer glitch'. The technical abilities of the person/s who allegedly serviced/check van over prior to sales was either sleeping this morning or had absolutely no idea what he was doing (this seems to be a common issue with other customer complaints)
We also wrote to Peter Vardy direct, his attitude was also 'blasey' and 'couldn't careless' so its hardly surprising his staff have adopted the same attitude!
So in summation:
Incompetent, unreliable, untrustworthy and completely useless are some of the nicer terms I'd refer to Peter Vardy other cannot be printed !!”

“Great customer service, kept me updated as to the status of the finance and car was able to pick up at the time agreed. No issues trading in my old car, all handled professionally, and the lady even took my car seat out of the old car so my daughter wasn't distressed saying bye to her car. New car was clean and ready to drive. I hadn't had all of the controls and features explained to me, but she spent the time showing me how everything worked. Interlink system could be a bit better as it struggles to recognise my phone via usb and show the contacts, but this may be my phone rather than the car. It also only has three apps, but hopefully they will be increased as I own the car.”
“Previously when picking up a car the experience is great - car looks immaculate with everything as agreed. Sadly this experience could not be further from that.
Car was supposed to have had the protection coatings applied internally and externally and if they had been it didn't show - car was grubby on the inside with dirt in the central cup holders and sticky marks on the high gloss centre console - mats and boot liner promised were not in car. When pointed out manager was apologetic and took steps to rectify which was good. Car also had some scratches which were agreed would be fixed so car is due back in to get this and treatments carried out.
I have to say that the team have taken steps to put things right which is good but it definitely took the special gloss off of picking up a new car

“Held off writing review until I had experienced your service department. Front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful - main reception and service reception. Initial problems with warranty now resolved by very friendly and helpful lady - Odafe.
Sales staff very friendly and easy to deal with.
Follow up process bit of a let down. Stop start not working from handover and still not resolved. Still awaiting copy checklist. Slight concerns with car handling - steering etc. Raised with service department staff during follow up text re stop start issue. Awaiting response.
Have never dealt with Peter Vardy so keen to see how issues are resolved.
