They put in 100% to get you signed up with a great pitch then put in minimum effort to get your house sold. Some days you just can't reach them because they're busy signing other people up. I was listed with them for months and had barely any viewings. I had to go to a real agent in the end to get my house sold. The High Street agent organised lots of viewings and worked hard for their fees unlike these people. Waste of time, waste of money, avoid! They're cheap for a reason, a total scam.

Purple Bricks offer any appointments, at any time, without consideration of the agent's location to be able to physically be there for the appointment. An issue I encountered when trying to arrange the valuation initially, and happened to soo many potential buyers with the viewing of my property thereafter. They rely on you booking the appointment, then getting in touch with you to change the time retrospectively. A frustrating experience that in my mind, starts the process off in a negative way for both vendors and prospective buyers. The 'agent' herself came to the property to measure up, take some pictures, get the listing live, but she didn't do much more than this. She was quick to send her invoice to my solicitor for the 'services' she offered. Lisa on the other hand, who did my agent's viewings on her behalf, was great. Always happy to take my calls and texts, making every effort to accommodate the viewings and kept me up to date. Lisa is the reason I give any stars in this review. If the post sales teams are meant to take over once a sale is agreed, they also don't earn any stars. On the two ooccasions I spoke to the post sales team, I gave a full explanation of the position I was in and the help I needed and on both occasions they completely ignored/misunderstood what I'd said and didn't help at all. Needless to say I gave up after that and dealt with it all myself. Fortunately for me I had a responsive buyer who I was in touch with directly. A word of warning, if you intend on using your own solicitor, PAY UPFRONT for your Purple Bricks selling fees. Something I didn't do and was hit with a hefty and unnecessary charge. Small print that in mind opinion was too easy to miss. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Purple Bricks.

They have single handedly caused the house I'm buying to take 17 weeks. This is still not even confirmed to go ahead. Pathetic company.

Disgraceful service, dire complaints procedure, approved conveyancers break GDPR, the worst experience with a company I've ever had. Do. Not. Use.

I booked a valuation online and prior to travelling I called them to confirm the appointment and I was told it was confirmed booking. I travelled some 50 miles and to my surprise it was a no show by the agent. Bernadine Williams never showed up or had decency to call me. I called on mobile and left 2 messages. With no answer I called the head office and after been put on hold for 10mins I was told neither Bernadine or her manager could be reached. This company is waste of time and unprofessional so please avoid at all cost.

My mother died I wasn't in the right head space to sell the house at this point. I engaged with Purple bricks to sell the property. The sales lady who came to see me reassured me its no sale no fee etc She would do everything sit back mourn in peace and let me sort things. She also boasted about me being only one of 30 clients as they like the personal touch. They told me there would be Great communication etc etc. Non of this happened so I stopped the service. 1 year later they send me the full bill for the house sale claiming I should have read the small print. They told me lies that I deferred the sale and turned down a offer to which is why I owe them the money. I Never had a offer nor communicated to. They to top it off they didn't return my house keys so i had to change the front door! Apparently that's my fault as well.

Arranged an appointment for a property. They sent a cancellation for a different property. So far, I have come across a few properties marketed by Purplebricks that I have been interested in, but it’s been impossible to get an appointment to view. I don’t know whether sellers are aware that their properties sometimes sit on the market for ages only because Purplebricks are not efficient at organising viewings. Now, I don’t bother looking at properties marketed by Purplebricks..

My family had viewed a house listed on Purple Bricks, loved the house and made an offer which the buyer accepted. We were sorting out the documents, they were supposed to send us the Memorandum of Sale, but they told our lawyer that the head office was drafting up the documents while giving us a different story. Meanwhile, we sent a surveyor to take a look at the house and what needed to be done, and one day after the survey, they gazumped us and told us the offer was raised ~50k more than the accepted offer, which is absolutely ridiculous. It seems like they waited until after we had paid out money to trick us into paying more for the property, which in my opinion is totally immoral. Buyers should be careful using this site, they rely on underhand tactics to try and get more money out of inexperienced buyers.

After a quick house sale via purple bricks we went with the solicitor they recommend. Big mistake! Had nothing but problems thereafter and purple bricks did not follow up on any post sale complaint. Would not use purple bricks in the future.

Avoid Purplebricks like a plague. There is no negative rating. I would not hesitate to give them that. Worst online estate agents I have ever come across. I have had several bad experiences with them to consolidate my belief that they are at the top from rock bottom. Just now my viewing for a property in Liverpool had to be cancelled the 2nd time as Carol the estate agent who was supposed to do the viewing failed to show up. This viewing was originally booked for the last weekend which Purple bricks rescheduled without giving any reason and now she decided not to show up.

I f I could give them 0, I would. Local agent taking total control of the App, deleting negative comments about Purple bricks from a viewer or cancelling appointments unilaterally. Wrong photos on the site for about a month and their local agent lied about it, blaming the photographer. Viewers left stranded with me for over an hour. Customer service contradicting themselves about the use of social media by the local agent to get my personal information. A shambles and just achieved two viewings in 3 months, both botched. Refusal to activate any refund. Stay well clear of them!

I moved out my apartment on 30th September (5 weeks ago) and have still not received my deposit back. Purplebricks are currently in breach of contract. They have never provided me a reason as to why the deposit has not been returned even though they legally have to do so within 30 days. I have sent multiple emails to various contacts and tried calling plenty of times - all of which are ignored and never returned. My initial property manager Jessica Walker has gone MIA and her sidekick Roberta Notarbartolo has ignored my calls and emails all week. 4 weeks after moving out, they sent me photos from 2019 asking where items were - this was 6 months prior to me moving in so when I explained that, they then tried to find another reason to withhold my deposit illegally. They then advised that the landlady wanted to send a different contractor in to have another look at the property “as things might have been missed” (after the current tenants had lived there for a month). What a load of nonsense. Purplebricks hired their own independent checkout agent initially (5 weeks ago), we all received the same report a few days later and just because the landlady Giada Schioppa is a fraud, I still have not received my deposit back. I should add that the new tenants who moved in, paid 10% over the asking price and paid 12 months cash up front which makes this all the more baffling. 5 weeks after moving out, this saga is no further forward and there has been absolutely no reason or cost given to me as to why my deposit has not been returned and those cowboys are withholding £1000 without reason. They are an absolute disgrace.

purple bricks described the property as well maintained and ready to move into. The survey hi lighted serious defects in the roof, walls, electricity, gas and rain water pipes and gutters. We have to foot a bill for these repairs and took no responsibility for this misrepresentation of the condition of the house. they refused to confess this to the seller and negotiate a price reduction.

I moved out of the rental property 4 weeks ago and have still not received my deposit back despite countless emails and attempted calls and no reason being provided. My property manager Jessica Walker ignores every call and the only time she replies to an email is to say, "The landlady wants to make a claim from the deposit but I don't know the cost yet". She provides absolutely no reasons despite me asking over and over again. She even sent me an email with photos dated 6 months BEFORE I moved in asking where these items were. A real shady, backhand tactic that Purplebricks clearly use to try and scaremonger. 4 weeks down the line and we are still no further forward even though I have attempted to reach out to the landlady Giada Schioppa & landlord Andrea Zecchino to get this resolved. All rent payments were made on time each month and the apartment was left spotless. This is causing no end of stress, frustration and anger.

Absolutely awful! They made me lose my dream home by failing to organise a viewing for me for weeks, when clearly they were managing to show the property to other people as it has now been sold before I’ve even been allowed my viewing. I offered days and times I could view over a 2 week period and all were rejected. Now I’ve lost my dream home thanks to Amanda Coveney and Katie at Purple Bricks. Such a ridiculous system to try and get a viewing, and I was so upset I also want to delete my purple bricks account and even getting that deleted is frustrating!!! Avoid at all costs!!!
