“Royal Mail 24hr tracked parcel accepted by the post office on 6th Dec now "estimated" to arrive "on or after" 31st Dec. - It only has to travel 120 miles within the UK!
Every day however, the post delivers a mountain of unsolicited junk sent more recently. What about delivering the service that ordinary customers have paid for Royal Mail?”
“Why oh why do we still use these jokers? Only when there's no other option from the company dispatching the goods... that's why. Absolutely hopeless!!! Paid express delivery for a Christmas gift on December 7th. Tracking shows it was sent out on time by the company but two weeks later still hasn't arrived after being shunted all over the country and back again!!! Absolutely pathetic service. We buy a lot from Amazon who never fail and deliver next day....no problems. The sooner Royal Mail go bust and disappear the better. I suppose they'll blame COVID, instead of their institutionalised laziness and apathy. Utterly pathetic, useless business. Unfortunately there's no option to give a no stars rating..”
“14 days iv been waiting for a parcel from coventry to Nottingham. I could have walked and fetched it quicker. Useless.
I hope amazon set up a delivery service and blow the royal mail out the water. Awful service”
“Horrendous service for small businesses.
I’ve had to refund many customers for parcels not arriving despite paying extra for a signature which they add an extra charge for.
Now I have to close my EBay shop early because I’m having to refund too many buyers as they say their parcels have not arrived and getting a response from Royal Mail is like banging your head against a brick wall. Absolutely useless and it’s about time we had more couriers to chose from and make Royal Mail realise they need to do better or loose customers because they obviously think they are untouchable and think they can treat customers in the way they do because there’s not many other options. I’m definitely looking into new couriers!”
“Ordered a package with Royal Mail Tracked 24, and 6 days later, I get an update saying it is due to be delivered today.
Called Royal Mail at 15:43 as package still hasn’t arrived, and was told there is an error on the website and it won’t be delivered until tomorrow, almost a week later on a 24h service.”
“They constantly miss delivery windows because their policy doesn’t guarantee delivery in the estimated time slot. Waiting times on support are horrendous for 2021 (soon 2022), I waited for 52min until I went through just to be told they don’t have the technology for live tracking and they’re “the bushiest company in the U.K.”. I’ve had to wait 3 days since the day Royal Mail received my item from the store for it to be delivered, and I live in London?! No support available for deaf people - I tried using texting, they don’t respond, no live chat with real human customer support available. I’d highly recommend choosing any other courier if available. I wish more companies were like Amazon - fast, reliable and with remarkable support!”
“Royal Mail had a quite small parcel on 3rd December to deliver to me. Here I am on 19th December (that's over a fortnight) and still no sign. What on earth is this company doing? Why are people still even using Royal Mail at all?”
“No post, no card, they just forged that they delivered my post and head off with my parcel who knows where. Stayed over 40 minutes on the phone just to be told that it has been logged in with all my details and wait but nothing else can be done. Im not surprised because Stevenage sorting office was always a mess but it became much worse over the years. Whats even more unique is that any other courier service in UK has drastically improved while Royal Mail has become sort of nightmare. They lost and mishandled so many parcels over the last few years that at this point i would like to advice others to stay clear of this Royal Mess and use a courier service instead.”
“Absolutely awful service.
In my opinion they are always late, never on time. When I pay for service guaranteed on Saturday until 1pm delivery arrive on Tuesday. The customer service hides behind automatic functions, making a call to talk to someone is almost a miracle. Next, tracking no. never works, worst possible service and I don't mean the holiday season. They always have problems and facing issues.”
“Paid extra for 48 hour tracked delivery. Royal Mail confirmed they had it in Sheffield at 10.02am on Wednesday morning and package would arrive on Friday. Didn't arrive and on checking tracking that Friday evening and Saturday morning it shows it as still being in Sheffield. 72 hours and over in their own depot, not moving, fot a paid extra 48 hour tracking service. Useless. The postman knocked my door on the Friday and I thought he was delivering my package but no it was to take one in for my neighbour and he confirmed there was no package for me. Royal Mail need not therefore lie, as apparently they have done to others, and say they attempted to deliver as this did NOT happen. Useless service. Businesses being let down by, in my view a, impoetent Royal Mail parcel service.”
“2 lost items within 1 (!) Month!!!
1st was my dads death certificate,
2nd pressent for Christmas what was delivered to somebody else as tracking says - delivered...
Mayby postmen should take a picture of the reciever... i dont know, at the end of the day, we pay them for service...”
“They come, don't ring, don't knock on the door, they leave the note and leave ... I stay at home and wait for them, and finally I have to go and pick up my shipment 😒 so bad...always”
“On the 2nd December I posted my friends sons birthday present. His birthday is the 11th December so I thought I had given it loads of time to arrive. I posted his present at Edlington post office using 1st class signed for, his present still hasn’t arrived and is still showing as accepted at the post office. I have sent a complaint to Royal Mail but still not heard anything. My husband went into the post office to enquire and they said it’s not their responsibility. I am so upset because the same thing happened a few months ago. You pay first class expecting the parcel to arrive the next working day. The ironic thing is I posted all of my Christmas cards the next day 2nd class through the post box outside Edlington post office and they have all arrived. I will not be trusting royal mail again, truly disgusting service.”
