Two tracked parcels, one of which I tracked all the way from China via Belgium both not delivered and go missing in my home town! Incapable, inadequate, outdated company!

Awful awful service. Royal mail should not be allowed to get away with their terrible service. Even if they only have a quarter of the staff due to the pandemic. Why they can still advertise 1-2 days delivery when most first class post is taking 2-3 weeks is beyond a joke

Dreadful, badly run organisation - if only incompetence was a jailable offence! Appreciate difficult times but this is one organisation that has let themselves and the country down - again. So long since had post the letterbox has healed up!

I have changed from queuing at the pharmacy for my repeat medication to using an app that arranges delivery to my home. This app uses Royal Mail for delivery. The first 2 deliveries went fine, the app uses packaging designed to be posted through a standard letterbox. The third time I came home from work to the dreaded 'red card' telling me that the delivery man had not been able to deliver the package for some unknown reason. So now I have to risk going down to the Royal Mail delivery centre and queue up. I went down yesterday to find that they had changed the opening hours and were shut. Half a dozen customers standing reading the small notice and swearing about the useless communication and service. Why does the Royal Mail seem to go out of its' way to provide a poor service?

1 month for a delivery, nothing is delivered on time, everything is late causing issues, RM should have a handle on this by now, your just really really annoying customers now and causing a lot of animosity.. Sick of you...you work 24/7 that's equivalent to 3 regular working days so in effect it took you 3 months to deliver one of my parcels, i wish retailers would stop using RM and courier everything instead, i have deliveries from France which come quicker than RM.. GET MORE STAFF.

They don’t even deserve 1 star, I ordered my parcel on the 1st of June, it was sent out on the 5th June by 1st class signed for, 15 days later and it’s not here, you can’t even track the parcel, it just tells you when they’ve attempted delivery, I’ve called Royal Mail and even they literally don’t know where my parcel is. Appalling

Normally I'm rather happy with RM, but today I was made really angry. My parcel was 16.2 cm wide in a couple of places (the box was a bit uneven) and it wasn't accepted as a small parcel. I had to stamp on it to make it those 2mm narrower! How petty and greedy! Ridiculous.

Royal Mail is really untrustworthy these days. It really doesn't deserve its Royal status. Don't use Royal Mail unless you use tracking. Other courier's seem to be better at not losing parcels or birthday cards. If it looks like it might have money or something valuable, chances are that you won't receive it.

Parcel delivery worse than useless. How a guaranteed next delivery cannot be made ( twice ) when the recipient is working at home is beyond me. Never again ... I’ll use Hermes at least they keep you informed.

The Lady who came to drop off my parcel was very incompetent hence leaving the parcel on the doorstep instead of WAITING! until I got to the door. I’m sadly to say I’m not fully satisfied with the delivery service which Royal Mail provided for me.

Paid 1st class to send a Jiffy Bag letter box sizes between Winsford in Cheshire to Manchester, arrived after 10 days and a 30 mile journey. Appalling, if they did delay repay like Virgin Trains they’d go but in a wink of an eye!

I have no general problem with reliability of delivery, but Track and Trace simply doesn't do what it describes. Instead of being able to see my item's progress from place to place, and if it's out for delivery, I'm told: "Your item has been posted at a Post Office. As you've used our Royal Mail Signed For service, the next update you'll see is after we've attempted to deliver to the recipient." So, it could basically turn up at any time and on any day. How is that tracking and tracing? My letter could be anywhere between where it was posted and where I live, and could arrive today or next week. Not good enough.

I posted a package by special delivery with a 1pm today guarantee. It still hasn't turned up and tracking shows it shuttling between two sorting offices - neither of them very far from the destination address. Absolutely useless and the compensation process looks horrific. Never again!

Letter are fine, parcels are consistently problematic. Received an email asking me to pay customs charges for a parcel, which I did, the email confirmed the parcel would be delivered on Saturday, it's now Tuesday and I don't have anything. Not even a sorry we missed you card, just nothing. I've tried tracking it and it says it's not eligible for tracking. I am completely at their mercy as there seems to be no way of contacting them. The phone lines are only open between 7am or 9am or something ridiculous, and when I rung it, I was told there was over a 60 minute wait to speak to someone and then I got cut off after 11 minutes anyway. I will go down to the depot later this week, which is also only open between 7am and 9am, and if I cant get it there, then I'll have to chalk it up as lost. All that money down the drain. Its nothing short of theft. Not my first experience like this either. As other have said, not sure how the other couriers can manage it and Royal Mail seem to mess it up so epically.
