Sold Elderly Parents UPVC in stead of Composite door as asked for. Refused to change it even though Salesman had a number of things wrong on order. Took no notice of Legal letter and threatened elderly people with Court so they paid. Door on is damaged and lock broken attempted to fix 3 weeks ago nothing repaired heard no more. Done 3 Trust Pilots and passed on contact details. No contact. Disgusting Customer Service

My poor elderly parents have had their lives turned upside down because of this company. They make promises and send nice people. Do not believe what they say. They dont turn up, their assessors get it wrong they take windows out and disappear. Its taken so far 10 weeks from when the 1st date was given to now and still not fitted the main bay window . Read other reviews before you get quotes in which you are harassed for years!

Rep came around gave us a quotation, said valid for whilst he was here , asked if we’re key workers I said we were allowed to work however definitely not doctors etc, anyway quotation seemed doable so he left with over 2 grand in cash , having failed financing for the remaining 3k I decided to cancel rather than pay more money out , order form says we’re nhs which we discovered afterwards. Now fighting for my deposit back !!! Extremely poor experience.

Windows and doors are decent and fitting is good but the after care for customers is a joke once they have your money they don't care.

As you will see from all the 1 star reviews its the after care that is truly shocking. If I were to write up the last 2 years of non existent shockingly poor after care it would fill a page but here's some highlights from our experience of their 100% efficient product. Draft in front door (fixed after 2 visits) caused by NO filler or sealant when fitted Draft in back door (not fixed after TWO years) Draft in French doors (not fixed after TWO years) Broken front door handle caused by incompetent engineer Broken French door latch rendering door useless Pitted Front/Back and French door handles External trim required replacing. Internal trim on 75% of windows needed redoing French door needed to be properly sealed as when fitted not done. Bowed back and French doors which require full replacement, Safestyle have sent an engineer twice now without the doors! These are our most recent issues, now onto the shocking incompetence of their service, here's some issues we have faced Engineer cancelling last minute after a 3 MONTH wait Engineer turning up with wrong parts after a 3 MONTH wait Engineer turning up with no parts after a 3 MONTH wait Engineer saying they have ordered new back and French doors, then yep after 3 month wait, a different engineer turns up with no doors and the report had no mention of the new doors being requested, so someone lied to us there. Every failure has resulted in me having to chase and wait 30-60 minutes to get through to the call centre to get the scripted 'oh sorry yeah I understand how frustrated you must be' I have tried raising an official complaint on numerous occasions but this never seems to get 'logged' I haven't the energy to write further, I am now seeking legal advice. In short if you are on this page deciding if you should go ahead with Safestyle DON'T!!!! walk away while you can. Look at the 5 - 4 * reviews they are all from new recently fitted customers, they haven't yet had to deal with the appalling, truly shocking after care! WALK AWAY - you have been warned!!!!!

Fitted over a week ago - pane of glass broke before left factory - promised call on the Wednesday to fit same day - noticed a scratch on a kitchen window so as we got no call I called them - said they would ring depot and get them to call Thursday - no call rang again saying send another email and will ring me Friday - no call rang Friday twice demanded call back from Manager - nothing - still waiting a week later for a call back when the pane of glass will arrive and be fitted and for someone to look at huge scratch on kitchen window. No call back from Manager but no surprise there. I paid in full and so annoyed with myself - partner is ringing today and if no response as to when these issues will be sorted will take it further. I wish I had read all these reviews before going ahead and gone out for further quotes. I did think ringing them on a Monday morning for a quote to get a salesman out same day was concerning and wish I had said to him we would get two other quotes - felt that was suspicious. And how long does the scaffolding take to remove. If anyone reads these reviews and wanting double glazing - skip by this company - I would not recommend them at all - customer services/installation are a joke

Disgusting sales tactics, should be ashamed Very immoral tactics and lies, I'd love to see this firm exposed as thieves on the BBC; no fixed prices, they attempt to take as much money from you as possible - "manager's discount", Price match, Police approved technology

The standard of work from the fitters was exemplary. Unfortunately the standard of communication between main office and customer left everything to be desired . The original fitting was 16 days ago and I had to point out to the fitter that the design of the side panel of my porch was incorrect. He checked his plan immediately and agreed that an error in manufacturing had been made and reported it to head office immediately. That evening I telephoned Customer Care, who assured me that they would inform the Depot, who would get back to me. No communication from the Depot, so three emails and two further telephone calls to so called Customer Care produced no response the than a very short email offering Avery half hearted apology for the inconvenience. Throughout the sixteen days since the original installation which went wrong I have had no contact from Safestyle, no information regarding any attempt to solve the problem and no apology for the fact that I have been unable to enter or leave my property via the front door as it was almost impossible to open or shut the door due to the hasty installation. I have no problem with the product or the workmanship of the installers, but the communication between admin and customers is absolutely disgraceful. If you really believe that you are the nation's favourite window and door company , then I suggest you tidy up your act, because I shall certainly never recommend Safestyle to anyone.

Although we were happy with the product installed, the lack of communication and poor customer service post installation was below standard. We are due a refund for an unused lintel and scaffolding that wasn’t required. Four weeks, several conversations with members of staff, countless emails and a formal complaint logged later, still no refund. Even when I phoned to make a complaint (it states in the customer charter that complaints can be accepted by phone, email or post) I was told they would only take it by phone as a “good will gesture”. Based on this poor customer experience I would not recommend this company. If anything goes wrong, they do not take responsibility to rectify.

Appalling bad fitting and 2 months later I am still waiting for them to fix the issues. Have wasted hours of my life on the phone to them now, constantly told someone will ring back and no one does. Even had an "appointment" for repairs once no one turned up. Guess what? I have to wait for someone to call me back. Disgusting customer service, wouldn't reccomend them to my worst enemy.

The four stars are for Dave Jones from the aftercare team for resolving a couple of issues The previous fitter had fitted the wrong replacement door handle effectively leaving the door unlocked. Dave spotted the error straight away and sorted it

Installation in January was poor. Complained at the time, still waiting for them to correct errors. every bit of communication from them is an apology and saying that the depot will contact me to resolve the issues but still waiting 19 March

Just called Fensa because my certificate has still not arrived after close to two months wait for it, and numerous promises and excuses along the way, this after paying in full the evening of the installation. Fensa tells me Safestyle has not registered my doors with them yet! Shocking is all I can say.

I paid my deposit over 4 weeks ago and sill no surveyor is booked to measure my windows. Gave up being on hold after 25 minutes countless times. I redevelop properties and have used other companies - Safestyle have been the worst I've dealt with. Never again!

Asked for someone to come out for a quote and they agreed to come out the next day. Specified that I just want a quote only, they said that's fine. Had a phone call before the visit asking if I live alone or with a partner. Said I live with my wife. The guy turns up and asks where my wife is. I say she's shopping and he says he will come back later as it's a decision to be made by both husband and wife. He turned up later in the day and measured up and then the sales patter starts. NASA technology/double glazing gasses etc. Whilst I want a good product, I'm not that bothered about production techniques. He then goes on to slate my existing (recently fitted) kitchen window, asking who did it and questioning the quality. Goes on to give a ridiculous quote of £17k and must've seen the look on my face and starts with "...but with the discount", and moves it down to £14k, then says if I go ahead he can double up the scaffolding with another local job and it'll bring the cost down further. I couldn't have been clearer that I wasn't making any decision then and there but the guy wasn't taking "no" for an answer and starts trying to play me off against my wife, asking each of us what we THOUGHT it would be and offering to meet in the middle. I reiterated that I wasn't making a decision on a whim to spend thousands of pounds but the pressure tactics continued, he said if we didn't make a decision we would never get a better price from head office. I said I need to get on with work (I work from home and by this point he'd been there for 2 hours pressuring me into buying his windows) but he didn't take the hint and continued. I've never felt so pressured and uncomfortable in my own home and I would urge people not to ask for a quote from Safestyle because their sales tactics are disgusting. They make sure both you and your partner are there so you can't say "I'll need to discuss it with my wife", it's nothing to do with making sure the right windows and doors are agreed by husband and wife. Also, the guy thought it was a good idea to show me a signed order from another customer just up the road who he'd fleeced for tens of thousands of pounds, seemingly as a ploy to make us think we're getting a better deal. I work in the financial sector and this goes against all GDPR rules. I hate to think how many unwitting customers sign up with the first price given, especially the vulnerable and elderly. For the record I got a local guy to do the job for a better price but with an additional back door. There was no requirement for the scaffolding Safestyle were trying to fleece me for. Moral of the story, get a local tradesman to do it.

I had my windows installed almost 3 weeks ago and during the install the installer broken glass in the new window. They have left the cracked window glass in and told me it will be replaced within 5 days. I still had to pay the rest of money as was told "company doesn't like not to be paid". No one has contacted me since the work. I have been calling customer service and they said they will note it and will come back to me - no one did to date. Even phoned the sales rep who did the quotes and initial response was fine saying he will look into it but not heard back. This is very very bad customer service and experience and should have done more research before placing order.
