I can’t take it anymore, if you email, half the time you get an auto response saying they will respond in 48 hours and then nothing. They constantly reply saying use the chat, I tried that twice and it was a disaster. Spent 1 hour to try and get someone to look at a faulty gas meter that won’t light up. After 1 hour they finally gave me a date and time for someone to visit. No visit. Tried again, new date, no visit. Called the 0800 number, told nobody can visit, it’s a meter outside with free access, so anyone visiting would not have any contact with anyone else. Other issues, 4 gas meters fitted but incorrectly assigned to the flats. All the accounts are wrong, told to do a burn test to verify which meter serves which flat. Did that, emailed the information, no response. If I had trustpilot reviews like this I would be ashamed to tell anyone I worked for Scottish Power, thankfully I don’t. Be warned, don’t give your business to Scottish Power.

Scottish power have been absolutely amazing. We are at Letham Feus Park and contacted them as the whole park lost power. They got us up and running with a generator until the problem was fixed. They worked very long hours both days and were so helpful. Thank you to everyone involved.

After calling Scottish Power numerous times to resolve an account date issue for a property I own upon the change of tenancy. I was repeatedly cut off, ignored, and billed incorrectly. I was then threatened with a default/legal action for a bill that wasn't mine. I paid the bill even though it wasn't mine to try and appease Scottish power until the issue could be resolved and they applied a default to my credit rating anyway for a bill that I didn't owe. This has had serious repercussions on my personal financial situation. SCOTTISH POWER EXTORDED MONEY FROM ME AND HAVE FAILED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

Left in August this year and I'm still being charged. I'm currently trying to get a refund but getting nowhere as I keep being fobbed off. I strongly urge people NOT to go with Scottish Power if they want a stress free life. I contacted them a month ago and it's still not sorted. I've had enough. I'm just glad I'm with someone else but I need my money refunded otherwise I'd have left it

Like the other 95% of 1 star reviews on this site, I have had a similar dismal experience with Scottish Power. This company needs to be Ashamed, thoroughly ashamed of their Pathetic level of customer service. If I could take them to a court to sue i would, but these big companies with their crooked lawyers would prevent me. I have spent over 106 hours without central heating or hot water. Under a Boiler care plan SP have sent out the wrong engineer (came to fix a radiator !) causing more delay another 24 hours later, a gas engineer who could not fix the boiler. A report then went to SPower claims department, who after repeated calls to them, did not reply, communicate with me in any way for the whole weekend 48 hours ! no matter how many times I called same shitty excuse after shitty excuse, no one calls back to update or move the claim forward. Meanwhile, no heating ,no boiler, my mother who is disabled, over 70, a vulnerable person has had to survive all this, SP you are a bunch of heartless idiots leaving a household with an ill person with no heating for 72 hours, 3 days ! Only on Monday morning, after contacting resolutions, did I finally receive a call back from claims who explained to me that our Bosch boilers are not covered by SP and cover has been cancelled, this has caused me and my family stress and discomfort. I have complained in writing and still received no apology or reply. Such a moronic, incompetent level of service is inexcusable, I want my premium refunded and will appoint a new insurer. Scottish Power is utter rubbish !

Scottish Power have been trying to back bill us £2,000 for two years electricity despite having been paying them by direct debit £60 per month, for all that time, in a one bedroom flat. They go from insisting we need to pay, to apologizing for the mistake, to insisting we need to pay again. They have reset our account twice and at one point refunded our account to +£1,000 only to change it back to -£2,000 a few days later. They never respond to emails and when you phone up to speak to someone they say they'll look into it and never call back. This has been going on for months. It is a shambles and we don't know how to get away from them because they don't respond.

I wish there was zero or -1 rating, unfortunately there is only 1. Daylight robbers with unethical means of asking customers to pay money that they don't vow. Scottish Power is the pathetic supplier and a nightmare. Have recently had a lot of trouble and nuisance from them. I was once a customer with Scottish Power for only 4 months or so. All my payments were made through direct debits and while switching I had paid all the final bills and Scottish Power had confirmed that there is no debt on my account and the account was closed, both gas and electricity. This was back in Jul-2019 to Oct-2019. During the month of Jul-2020, I got a LCS debt collection stating that I was to pay GBP 400 approx. for a bill that was date back to 2018 where I was not the tenant at my current place. I had moved only during the month of Jul-2019 and they ask me to pay for someone else's debt stating that they had made the investigation and concluded that it my me. I had shown the proof of my tenancy date and the final bills that I had paid during Jul-2019 to Oct-2019. I had requested the customer service and had dropped e-mail to contactus to have it sorted. The team had come back and confirmed that I had nothing to pay and my account was closed (both gas and electricity). Unfortunately, the drama did not STOP here. Scottish Power sent me another e-mail notification yesterday stating that I vow them more than GBP 1000 approx for the period of Jul-19 to Nov-19. This is so horrendous where Scottish Power had updated my closed accounts with a reading from my neighbour. Do you guys even have a proper system for accounting or these done manually as when the accountant like to make a customer debt? No wonder my Scottish Power had rating as 1, they are not even worth this. This did not end, when contacted customer care they gave a rude response stating that they will send final bills multiple times and that is how their system works. I had officially switched to another supplier in Sep-2019 and Scottish Power had sent the final meter reading to my new supplier, so where on earth you guys had the guts to falsely update the accounts with new meter readings? If the meter readings were transferred to my new supplier and I had been given a final bill during Nov-19, how on earth can someone update my account with someone else reading and send out a bill of GBP 1000 pounds. The customer agent stated that I had to send the tenancy letter and the supplier bill to prove that my address was wrong. Why should I be spending and wasting my time for the mistake of Scottish Power?????? I had already sent these during Jul-2020 when there was a wrong debt marked against me. Scottish Power should be sued for such actions and having to cause mental trauma for customers who have already left way long back (more than a year) I wish Scottish Power understand and train the staff with basics of fundamentals accounting, I can offer a free training if that is something Scottish Power would source my robbing others customers in daylight.

Well where could I start! Not good things to say about this company its actually pretty disgusting that they are even aloud to trade. I have had the misfortune of having them as a provider and not willingly as I moved into a new property which they were the provider for. It was on pay as you go top up and was missing a key which I was told by the property agent I had to obtain one from the provider Scottish Power cut a long story short I spent close to over 20 hours in the first 2 weeks trying to sort out a new one with them there also turned out to be a fault with my meter which they would only come out once I had run out of electricity!! After that hole great start . They made an appointment for some 1 to come out and fit a smart meter they told me I had to be in which I was and no engineer arrived i called customer care who told me the engineer cancelled and I the customer needed to contact them to find. What a joke of a company do not use!!!

Since the serviced my boiler, abd 4 engineer visits and no hot water or heating that lasted over 24 hours there are absolutely no words to describe my exacerbation of poor service, been given. It’s a hard day when you pay fir a service and no reliable outcomes are given. I’m out ASAP. I have to have a second opinion booked for today as I have health issues a d being without heat or water is detrimental to my health.

Customer Services non existent - 8 calls/8 individuals/no idea how to deal with customers - one was totally arrogant. Does Lynda Clayton actually exist - if indeed she does she should go before their CEO decides she NEEDS TO GO. Just pass the buck to D&G to deal with anything that causes them to work for a living. No fault with D&G as your contract is with Scottish Power, your Direct Debits are taken by Scottish Power therefore surely it is not D&G responsibility to spend hours dealing with complaints regarding contracts and Direct Debit problems. Stay well clear of Scottish Power, especially if seen under a tent at a Supermarket. Does Scottish Power CEO know of these complaints he should if he has his wits about him - unless he is as impotent as Customer Services staff.
