“Ordered an item on Sunday, website saying collect within 1 hour, paid on line then told next working day, still waiting more then 24hrs. Would’ve used toolstation if I knew this. Will not be using them again!”

“I stoped buying from screwfix ago after everything when on line because of this Covid Bull S*** then i had a big order and i phoned there help line number and the message says you can now go to the store to order 🤣 so i thought great but when i got there the Peterlee branch told me i need to order on line so i trailed hete for nothing. What a wast of time. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.”

“Ordered all my materials over the phone to pick up from a coats store, 3 days in advance. I was assured they had all the goods I required. On the day the staff just handed me a box of stuff and I was told all the goods I ordered are in the box. Having shopped at screwfix before, I decided to check the box. Turns out the all important middle connector piece was missing,. I had to interrupt another customer that was placing an order because the staff were nowhere to be seen. Turns out it was the manager who said "sorry did no one tell you, here I will print off a cancellation for that piece cause we don't have it". I couldn't believe they were goi g to let me walk out of the store with a sealed box with a part missing. They were literally trying to steal from me. Spoke to Victoria from the head office who was no help. They ruined my job for the day. I will never rely on screwfix again. They are useless Victoria in the head office is also useless and has stupid blind faith in her lying staff.”

“Had enough going to take my business elsewhere, blame everything on Covid 19 can’t get refund immediately!! very poor online service, app very slow, doesn’t make it clear for parts next day, happened a few times now!! Had enough”

“Theft & Misleading Customer coupled with Bad Customer Service from Screwfix Unit 1 Edmonton Trade Park. I purchased a bath panel with a 5 year warranty two weeks ago. Within two weeks of purchase a crack appeared on the center of the panel, I took it back immediately to the store it was purchased from with receipt for a refund & I was given 5 excuses to not accept the return. When I challenged the excused not appropriate for the situation the managers decision was very vague with his response & came to final excuse that because I made minor alterations (cut a tiny peice at the end of the panel to allow space for my wash hand basin waste pipe that is connected to the bath waste pipe) so the panel fit perfectly with my bath they won't accept the return although the crack damage area was in the middle, center surface of the panel which was not caused by the alteration I made at the end of the panel made two weeks prior the damage occurred. Contacted customer service who then called the same store it was purchased from and spoke to the same manager who refused to then later also refused to accept the return over the phone. To me this is theft from Screwfix for misleading customers about their item comes with 5 year warranty, when you approach them directly with a fault with their product to then refuse to give a refund for their cheap faulty item after two weeks of purchase. As the panel would have been disposed off if no alterations was made why then refuse with alterations. Head office Management needs to review their warranty policy or remove it completely so you know you have no cover when you purchase any of their items. This review was left on their website but not visible to customers”

“Redhill store. DONT USE Currently waiting an hour if Time is valuable don’t go there. Seems they are just using the virus as an excuse to take there time. Waiting in a radiator and 2 lengths of copper which has taken over an hour.”

“Shouted and sworn at by staff I was publicly shouted and sworn at by a junior member of staff after asking if please and thank you were in his vocabulary. Avoid Carlisle branch the customer service is disgusting, I will not be going back.”

“I purchased this product by mistake the guy in the shop did a return for me six days later still money not returned. Telephoned scewfix today July the 6th. The customer service rep to me there was nothing she could do as the money had been returned from them and that the problem was pay pal. 10 minutes after getting off the phone get an e mail saying money returned from screwfix.. think you were lying my dear bad customer service.”

“Absolute rubbish company. Was told computer said no to giving me a refund for out of stock items. The manager told no refund on out of stock items until they have the stock. What absolute rubbish they need to go bust.”

“I completed an order for a tape measure online and was informed it was a collect today item.i then received the text that my order was ready . I arrived at Bangor Co. Down store around 6 minutes before closing time . There were about 3 others in front of me and I was informed that the customer In front of me was the last they would be dealing with and to come back in the morning. I told them I had received the item ready for collection text and was less than impressed. A couple of minutes later I was sitting in my car on the phone and was approached by a staff member telling me they could deal with me. I gave the order number went to the door and was told the item was out of stock . I wasn’t offered an alternative ( it was only a tape measure after all) I was informed I would receive a refund in 10 days. According to screwfix their collect today items are in stock and will be available within minutes of placing your order. Not impressed.”

“Bought an Erbauer mitre saw from Screwfix last week, what they sent me was a dangerously unusable device and an absolute disgrace also, is that I have had no reply from them after contacting them by email twice. Pics, video not allowed, too big...?”

“Last Friday 8th May I took delivery of an Erbauer mitre saw from Screwfix. On unpacking and checking the saw, I was horrified to discover some serious damage on the saw itself. The blade was bent, yes bent, and dangerous to use, the plastic insert on the left of the blade had gouges out of it, paint was chipped at a no of places on the saw, the rear carry handle was loose and not affixed properly, a bag which should, I believe, have been over the saw was loose in the box, the power cable was stuffed into another bag and had a knot tied on it. This is a disgraceful way to send any item to a customer. I have contacted Screwfix on two different occasions and as yet I have had no reply. I understand this is a difficult time but there were no issues selling and shipping so why is customer services so bad?”

“Not acceptable and I’m not even sure legal. I get the problems but they have had weeks to find a solution Thank you for your recent e-mail. My apologies for the delay in replying, our Call Centre and Head Office are currently closed and so we have a very limited team dealing with an extremely high level of customer enquiries from home. Our stores are not able to accept returns until further notice as we are now providing a service that minimises social contact and we can assure you we will do all that we can throughout these unprecedented times to protect our colleagues, customers and their families. “Hi all I order the brushed stainless steel I pick it up Friday and electric turn up Saturday to fit the light and infor me it had rush on the light order it from birkenhead shop the manager today Monday 23/3/20 was out of order with me I will not us this birkenhead shop for long time I hope the manager is sack to”

“Called in to weston super mare .iam a business owner and because iam not a electrician or plumber was just dismissed I then went into edmundsons electrical and spent 350 on parts if as a business you can afford to turn away money you shouldn't be in business...”

“I agree with Cathaff's review of Screwfix 1 month ago, to buy even the simplest of things you get the third degree to try and get your details,its pathetic, unnecessary and downright intrusive, so grow up Screwfix and start respecting people's privacy, we don't all want offers etc from you !”
