Terrible after sales service. Bought a sofa with removable covers and was told in the shop they could be washed. When washed all the zips broke. Was told by customer service they wouldn’t repair as I shouldn’t have washed them. Why have removable covers then??

In-store was ok Danny was helpful. Things started to go wrong on the Tuesday got a phone call saying that not enough carpet had been ordered so they added extra.,thought it was a bit odd but excepted it. Bare in mind that my husband was had given the right measurment when the carpets were fitted loads left over! !!!! The next day our sofa's were delivered? ???? Nightmare begins turns out they wouldn't go through the doors. Bare in mind that they had the measurements of our doors and we were not told that the sofa's we ordered were oversized (our home was built in the 1960's) rang the Bedford store only to be told not they fault. We were forced to pay to have the largest sofa arms removed to get into our home appalling after service from the store waiting for some of the money to be paid back. Having read some of the reviews i'm not holding my breath.

Ordered furniture March, Arrived May - Not too bad.... Cushions ordered were incorrect and so was foot stool. Contacted SCS by phone and they said they will sort but want photo, This was done and sent to their email address. 2 months later nothing heard so went to showroom in Hull. They apologized and said they will sort. Nothing heard so contacted them again to be told they had no idea what we were talking about. This continued until they finally accepted they knew what was happening and would get it sorted. November arrives and they turn up with the correct Stool but with 2 corner cushions and 2 square ones (Which is wrong - We needed 3 square and 1 corner). The delivery team contacted them immediately and we were told it would be sorted. 1 week later I contacted SCS to find out whats happening to be told they want Photographs..... WHY????? They know what they sent. The team at SCS Reception were polite and professional and so were the delivery team but this is extracting the urine. I will NEVER go to SCS again

Our suite is leather and the colour is washing off literally we clean it with the leather cleaner and it washes off they sent an expert who said nothing wrong with this £4000 suite Also if we are taking medication that can make the suite fade a joke Small claims don’t need to be an expert to see this is not right even water washes the colour off child spilled his water and left a hand print ????

As we were unsure whether to replace our wooden floor, our advice from the Shirley store was seek the advice of the surveyor, this we did, who told us it would be easy to remove the wooden floor prior to fitting. Having placed the order we were advised that the fact the flooring goes under the skirting boards and fireplace , removal would likely result in damage and gaps around the edges once the carpet fitted. We returned to the store to be told tough you can’t cancel that part of the order. We are now left with the only option of fitting the carpet on top of the wooden floor, however this won’t fit under the front door which can’t be planed. So whatever we do the hall will look a mess. I am so upset and disappointed as I either waste £600 by not having the carpet fitted or have something that looks a mess.

I purchased all carpets and LVT for a 3 bedroom house through scs at cribbs causeway. Carpet was fitted not too bad by Karl all their packaging, offcuts, were dumped in the rooms. LVT not delivered on time and even tried to deliver to my old address. The latex which was put down was terrible. It wasnt level, it didn't cover all the floor, big gaps in it. Splash marks up the wall and skirting boards. The fitter must of cut his hand as blood all over the door, radiator and wall. A second fitter came out to rectify 2 weeks later and relaid the latex and also lay the LVT when it finally arrived 4 weeks after it should of .He came back to put right a few things such as lifting and edges not sealed and lifting. Apparently sealing of the edges is not part of the job. However I was not told this. Once scs had received my money it was difficult to get anything resolved. It took endless phone calls on my part and also going into store. To rectify the first fitters faults have had to have someone in to repaint hall, kitchen. Utility room, dining room, and cloakroom as with a new house if you remove latex from walls and skirting boards it takes you back to plaster or wood. I will never use scs again. If I could I would of left a review of 0 stars.

After 26 weeks of chaos just got my money back best thing that could of happened wasn't even convinced I'd get that back

Don't seem to be bothered about a poor fitting carpet don't call back when they say they will have no real control over the fitters.

very very poor customer service especially the branch in Bedford, usually managers sort out issues but when the problems are given by manager then I prefer to say nothing! I bought a couch from them and the manager told us it will be delievered within "6 weeks" I was speaking to the manager from Bedford and he was utterly rude and very unprofessional and also did not know how to actually speak with disappointed customers. After making an official complaint about the manager the manager himself was dealing with the complaint rather than any other higher professionals. Now after making the complaint, my order is now no longer a priority so instead of the 6 weeks delivery it has now gone up to 10 weeks now. I would never recommend SCS to my enemies never mind my friends.

bought a infinity leather sofa, just under 4 years old and springs are trying to come through cushions making it very uncomfortable. Contacted scs after care if you can call it that! they said they cant do anything without me paying £75 for a tech call out! then tried going through the insurance they said we had to have if we took out 4yrs credit they sent out tech and reported that it was wear and tear! so called endurance! my arse! now wont do anything about it.. Please don't waste your time and money go elsewere!!!!!!

Wrong furniture delivered, now another 12-14 wait to see if the incompetent outfit can actually make and deliver the correct furniture.avoid at all costs unless you don't mind headaches and incorrect furniture.

Excellent service from Colin and Eddy from Seaham Distribution Centre. Tables delivered on time, set up and packaging taken away. Very impressed with the service.

We ordered a Lazy Boy lounge suite from SCS Plymouth, staff were friendly and helpful. Delivery men were great but after they had left we noticed that the stitching on a joint was coming apart and after another day or so we realised that the comfort was nothing like the one we had seen in their store; this furniture was as hard as a brick. (Later we spotted another area which appeared to have been cut: by a Stanley knife?) We spoke to SCS and asked for a full refund, we also wrote to head office. The office staff at SCS Plymouth were very helpful and agreed to collect our furniture and refund our money: this they did within a short space of time. I feel SCS were let down by their supplier and did what they were legally obliged to do, under the 2015 Consumer Rights Act, with the minimum of fuss.

Having emailed on several occasions with a problem with our new fitted carpet within 24hrs of been fitted no response, after sales diabolical will never shop with this company again and I strongly advise any potential customers of scs think twice. Now seeking legal advice.

Please avoid this company. This company sold me 2 lazboy sofas in leather costing £2,500 which starting peeling on the headrest and piping around 6 months after purchase and cushion sagging. SCS Sent a technician round to my home and told me the peeling was due to hair oil and sagging was the cushion 'relaxing' and will not take up this issue with the manufacturer. It is now in Section 75 process with credit card company under consumer credit act 1974. I urge you not to buy their sofas; please spend your money wisely and shop elsewhere!!! This company do not even deserve 1 star, even though I have complained, the CEO sent me a letter to state peeling and sagging was a characteristic of the leather and to enjoy my new furniture; this is an insult to the consumer.

We spent nearly 3000 pound in scs at Shirley, we not happy with part of the carpet fitting, I asked for a call back from the manager, guess what couldn't be bothered just got a member of staff to call to say he couldn't help and for me to ring the fitter myself, I haven't got his number, staff all over us when we were spending, coffee offers couldn't do enough for us now I am stuck because I cant get hold of the fitter so I suppose I have got to pay again, all cash all paid in front, never again scs

After having ordered our carpets 1 month earlier, we got a call less that 24 hours before they were due to be fitted saying that they weren’t in stock and would have to be delayed by 3 weeks ! We were absolutely appalled that they could do this, apparently someone had forgotten to order them but all the staff were interested in was putting the blame onto someone else. We didn’t care about blaming anyone we just wanted it sorted! In the end we cancelled the order and went with someone else who fit our chosen carpets a week later. Overall an awful experience.

Had my new suite delivered today by Marvin and Dennis lovely friendly and professional guy's they called before with 1 hrs notice of arrival they unpacked assembled and checked the furniture. All boxes and rubbish was taken away nothing was too much trouble thanks guys.

After waiting 9 weeks for our sofa and 2 chairs they finally arrived and like a few other reviews I read the sofa wouldn’t fit thro our door. The delivery man rang the store and explained the problem we were told we could pay extra for a recliner sofa which came in two parts so would fit thro the door or we could have it assembled in the bungalow both at a cost when you are buying these sofas surely the salesman should advise on sofas fitting thro normal size doors but they are just wanting your money. We are now left with two chairs and no sofa and have to wait until 18th January for the sofa to be delivered so Christmas will be ruined. Rang complaints dept and a lady rang me back to discuss problems I thought that people in that kind of job should be willing to try and sort the problem but this lady was very rude and said the onus was on us to check it would go thro the door. Will not ever buy anything from SCS again they just take your money but don’t want to help when things go wrong.
