Scs replaced my carpet due to poor fitting they sorted the problem out for us, we had a bit of a delay due to re mesuring of the carpet and getting the new one ordered but the fitters came today. I couldn't find a join anywhere I looked for faults but couldn't see any the fitters did advise me that the treads were not put on correctly the last time and if I have any further issues to contact Scs they have done a brill job

If i could give 0 I would im a normal man who works hard on poor wages , me and my wife after many years struggling wanted to do our house up .we had it plastered and painted Mrs was happy now we wanted new carpets throughout and a new suite , we went to scs Preston branch we picked carpets and a new suite called endurance .when suite came first it was faulty with scratch 6 inch long and all feet scratched and dinted , we rang scs they said it would take 26 weeks before replacement could come , in meantime carpets upstairs came 2 fitters came rough looking swearing I said please watch walls and paintwork just been done , first one ran upstairs with bag of underlay he stumbled hand print all over wall , he marked every bedroom , but that's not the best he laid carpet with a hole in it the size of a egg , second bedroom had marks all over it , I rang scs they said they will replace it , severally weeks later wnd carpet arrived fitter nice man said he wouldn't lay it as faulty , we have waited for 26 weeks 2nd suite arrived faulty feet again and arm cut 3 inches short , I've just rang scs Preston and Mike buckley senior manager to get this rubbish out of my house I want money back in meantime Mrs has been crying upset I've had several days of work waiting for these people to call out , we sat here now with floorboards and nowhere to sit so xmas ruined please please please don't give these cowboys your hard earned money hope this is helpful

After visiting SCS at least 4 times looking for 2 sofas & always ended up going back to the same 1. We eventually ended up ordering them but did find the saleman attitude rubbish because he was getting fed up of seeing us & asking questions. We ordered 1 power recliner & 1 that was not a recliner. Never once over the 4 or more visits did the salesman say that if we had a non recliner in that sofa it would not fit through a front door or any door in your house unless you have French doors or patio doors because these sofas are much bigger and do not seperate. So on delivery day delivery driver told us they would not be able to get through the front door & have we got patio doors round the back which we have. So they took it round the back through the conservatory into the dining room damaging it & that was it! Because the door going into my living room is of normal size they couldn't get through it. The delivery men did say they had this problem quite a lot. So the sofa was just left there in the middle of my dining room & I was told I would have to ring scs & pay extra to have it split into 2. The recliner did go in my living room because the backs came off but the other sofa is still in my dining room with the plastic still on. I do feel the salesmen SHOULD tell you if they do know that a sofa will not get through a standard door which they must of known with the 1 we had picked & not just be interested in making the sales

Spent £ 3200 on a three seater and a two seater in leather after 18 months the so called leather started peeling SCS not interested. complete waste of money.

If I could give it 0 starts I would, Horrible people failing company, couldn't care less attitude ....I've bought a 4 seater sofa and an arm chair plus a new carpet very quick to sell it to me then just wanted me out the shop I was given no idea of delivery days etc just that someone would ring ....they didn't I had to ring them sofas were deliverd 3 weeks before carpet one leg missing had to ring round numerous places to try get one sent still waiting for that......Carpet still not fitted was promised a call this morning from manager to give me at least a rough idea of when they may turn up but nope no call have been ringing them all day no answer absolutely disgusting in every single way.........

Four years ago we paid cash for two endurance sofas and a lounge carpet. Promise of Christmas delivery. First the carpet came and was cut too short. Then we heard that colour was out of stock. No apologies. Picked another colour SCS Stockport not bothered if we got for Christmas but thanks to the great carpet fitters we had something similar fitted. No date given for suite delivery eventually 2 days before Christmas came two sofas one the wrong colour. After countless phone calls and false promises the sofas were delivered after Easter the following year!!!!! So they were only 3 years old when a great deal of the top coating started shedding from one sofa. These sofas have had very light use as we live abroad 1/2 the year and have no pets or children . Now starting to luck like an old sofa. Surely they should last longer? At first the shop staff in Stockport were scathing. Saying I couldn't expect more! I went to the citizens advice the SCS stockport manager called them jack of all trades. My sofa is red he also said that wasn't in vogue anymore. No sorry or can we help etc. Dead arrogant receptionist who now ignores me if I go in. Eventually offers 550 quid off a new sofas. But they are completely different. For something similar I would have to stump up well over another 1300 pounds. The colour matches my lounge and the carpet would have great dents in it . SCS not concerned. Dont go there . There furniture is dispossable quality. If I could upload photos to show others I would. But I haven t even started on them yet so watch this space . Ann Buckley

Went to order a suite one minute the damage cover was £50 then in the blink of an eye the salesman slips in the quote for cover for £250.carrying on he said delivery was £59 but he would as a one time offer give us a discount of £50.Then when i said we did not want the cover the £50 was withdrawn,when i asked why as he said it was a one time offer that would almost pay for delivery he said "if you dont want the cover ,thats where the discount was coming from." These people couldnt lie straight in bed.BEWARE.

Waited twelve weeks for a sofa and two chairs from scs ordered from the Becton branch. This suite arrived on the 2nd November only to find that they had sent two electric chairs and a manual settee, all of it was ordered as electric. We have been told that we have to wait another twelve weeks for delivery of a electric settee and that the colour may be different, they have left us the manual settee to use for now, but the recliner on the left does not work, no mention of compensation, even though we paid for a five year warranty of £350, and a delivery charge of £59, and the suite was over £4000. So will not have in time for Christmas. Very strange that the customer care team can not help, and you have to telephone the branch to sort it out, which I have been phoning for days and can not get through to.

After purchasing ab endurance sofa chair and footstool. The leather is peeling off the chair. Three emails later and still no joy. Perhaps x ray might be a better choice. Poor quality terrible customer service.

About a year ago, I decided to purchase a new sofa and easy chair. I went to the Milton Keynes SCS branch and eventually decided on a Lazy Boy 3 seater sofa and a matching single reclining chair. I duly paid up and with the extras, insurance, etc parted with about £1700. On the agreed date, almost exactly a year ago, the lorry arrived and the first question the delivery man asked was "will it go in through the door? We always end up taking these back!" Sure enough, the sofa would not fit in through the door, so it was put back on the lorry and taken back. I phoned SCS to ask what next and was told that I would have to pay another £200 to have it dismantled and reassembled in the room. I protested that I should have been warned and that I wanted to cancel the order. I was informed by the incredibly unhelpful lady on the phone that that was not an option unless I paid a charge which was about 30% of the order value. I eventually paid the £200 and the job was done. The new sofa is in terms of comfort nothing like the one in the shop, it is hard and uncomfortable. SCS sent someone to remove some of the padding, which didn't really help much. A year later, I don't use it and just want it gone, but can't sell it on as I can't get it out of the house! The only option seems to be cut it up and dump it! A year old, maybe been sat on for an hour! All this is because SCS were so keen on getting the sale that they did not warn me that it would not go through a standard door, even though according to the delivery driver it was a known problem! Incidentally, the recliner chair is also too uncomfortable to use!!

Very expensive carpet rubbish after 3 months told it’s shuffle foot .what a load of bull would never buy from scs again. Stay clear of this company

Just taken delivery of our new sofas.delivery men Richard gauntlett and Keith Atkinson from the Basingstoke depot were very helpful set sofa's up and took all rubbish away . very friendly and very helpful.

Marketing when it comes to promotion price is very misleading! The website currently is running double discount promotion, however there is no double dicounts. The price of the sofa is the same as it was a week ago and the only thing they are offering is £25 off your purchase, you spent £2000 on a corner sofa to get £25 off. What a joke and they spent so much money on marketing this promotion offer.

Free fitting is a lie. In store they told me I had to purchase the £8.99 underlay (Carpetright has the same deal but you only need a 7.99 underlay). I couldn’t get a fitter out to measure and quote me without paying a £100 deposit. They then charged me £81 for 9 extra square metres of underlay to what I needed. Carpet comes in specific widths so you will always have to buy extra but underlay is thinner so I did not need extra. They make you buy underlay according to the amount of carpet purchased rather than the area being carpeted. This is ludicrous.

Had a bedroom hall stairs and landing laundry room carpeted paid for new grippers and door bars, only one door bar was replaced! Had a sofa delivered by a delivery guy that was drunk! Came into my house using abusive language and being very rude in front of my 6 year old! Ordered another carpet for living room again paid for grippers and door bar! Said they had been given the wrong door bar so the old one had to stay! Underlay was put down new carpet was just about to be fitted.....wrong carpet! Have had to wait nearly 2 weeks for the right carpet to come! House has been upside down with furniture everywhere! Havnt been offered a refund or even an apology, lady on the phone said “well I can’t magic a carpet out of thin air” when we phoned up and complained! Oh and the old grippers hadn’t been replaced again! So when the carpet does finally get laid I will make sure it gets changed £30 for grippers and a bar that don’t get replaced! How many other people are getting ripped of with this?

Think about it ...my carpet is now free , yet I'm still an unhappy customer ! Free carpet, been down a yr , can't wait to replace it! Second faulty carpet ! See Facebook scs complaints

told they could deliver booked the delivery. day of delivery no sofa. Phoned them and they said they did not deliver to that area from that store. My sofa has to go further south and then past me up north to come back south to me. 2 weeks was the guide 2 weeks later no sofa. The store manager advice get a van and collect it yourself even though they took the delivery fee.

Manufacturing fault on arm of sofa scs came out put a screw in and then we got them back out for them to spray glue on fault sofa leather looks 20yr old instead of 6month old got sick of ringing about sofa to ask for a replacement and getting the same old story you have to let us fix it so if you want to waste your money buy from scs and don’t expect any help once they’ve got your money poor customer service and engineers are no better
