My mother can’t read without her glasses. It was near closing time on Black Friday sale. The salesman read all terms and conditions contract she signed omitting she could not cancel the purchase. They made her feel she could buy now and cancel later. Now she’s being forced into buying sofa she thought she could change her mind. Cowboy salesmen take advantage of the elderly

Handed over a substantial deposit for a 10 th Dec fitting. Order cancelled in error by central office twice. Finally agreed 11th Dec fitting. After taking time off fitter did not turn up or phone to say why. Store would not answer phone and had to travel there for the 4th time to try and sort out. Result no carpet and too late to order before for pre Christmas delivery with anyone else. Feel Like I’ve been mugged. If I could have awarded no stars I would have. Avoid at all costs the stress is not wort it!

Where do I start.. Purchased a 3 seater sofa and 'snuggle chair' set from them in March 2018 when I was 5 months pregnant, delivery date got set back so I was sitting on the floor for several weeks. When it first came the Snuggle Chair was heavily damaged, damaged leather with scratches all over, called straight away and was told someone would come out to assess, got offered a pathetic £50 ish reimbursement, OFF OF A £1300 CHAIR, wow! Wasn't happy with that so continued for weeks calling and calling and was finally offered a replacement, replacement arrived a lifetime later, again heavily damaged, another replacement was sent. I believe in total we had 3 snuggle chairs. This was over several months so by the time it was dealt with again we received a snuggle chair that wasn't damaged but was a complete different colour to the sofa. In the end after almost a year of hassle with a new baby both were replaced, sort of matched colouring wise and neither had as bad scratches etc so we settled with the new set. UNTIL 3 months I believe after the new set came the front foot on the snuggle chair is all cracked with wood showing through and bits of black paint flaked off on my floor, we complain and they want US TO PAY to replace the foot. I'm sorry I wasn't aware that a 3 month old £1300 chair leg should break and it isn't your fault... absolute joke of a company. You're lucky its too late to do an AMEX charge back and you could argue with them about why you think you deserve my money because I don't believe you deserve a pound coin from us never mind after the ridiculous time and hassle with you for you to then have the audacity to tell us we need to pay you for your below par products an replacing a damaged chair leg. Absolute disgrace, never again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY TO BUY CARPET THEY ADVERTISE ORDER NOW AND RECEIVE BEFORE XMAS THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING - WE ARE NOW SITTING WITH BARE FLOORS IN OUR HOME AS TWICE THEY FAILED TO DELIVER WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND NOW WANT TO DELIVER MID JANUARY!!!! ARE THEY SURE?? YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUBBISH HAVING EXPERIENCED THIS FIRST HAND. THEY ARE NOT WORTH EVEN ONE STAR.

we ordered a carpet 27/11/19 they sent someone out to measure hall stairs landing and lounge. Measurements sent to their fitter so it was cut to size but it had been cut short and had to be patched in 2 doorways. We were charged for grippers which were not needed so managed to get refund. We have NEVER had a proper invoice despite asking several times for one - told that it had been emailed then posted but didn't receive it. Supposed to be free fitting but we had to give fitter £137.34 plus £45 which they said was taken off the order but we paid the fitter so how is it free? Worst customer service ever and would never recommend SCS to anyone

DO NOT make purchases from these people. Terrible customer service once you have the items. Any quality issues are just deemed accidental damage so that they do not need to deal with them!! As for calling back or returning emails. Forget it!! So annoyed!!

Dreadful company. Customer service is non existent. Customer service manager from there Sunderland call centre laughed at me. Drivers whining about minimum wage and conditions. E-mailed their CEO David Knight but heard nothing. Do yourself a favour look elsewhere if you want a company that cares about more than your money.

Atrocious service. Probably one of the worst customer experiences I've had. If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Went in to buy carpets to fitted in my home and after they came and did the survey they kept phoning me up subsequently chasing for the remaining payment. I paid within a few days in store as they didn't have online facilities to make them payment and I couldn't just pay in any SCS store; had to be the one I purchased from. After payment, it was around a week before they could get someone around to fit it all. SCS got some kids to come around to do half a job. They left the place in a state with nails, carpet cuts and bits of pile everywhere. They said they get charged to chuck it away but for me it's free so they just left it all a mess (which required me hiring a skip the next day). They also left a noticeable mound under the new carpet in the hallway and the main bathroom doorway was missing the door bar so we couldn't shut the door (fortunately we have another bathroom we can use). The store had apparently got the door bars mixed up so the fitters said they would sort it out with SCS and I would be called up to arrange a date for refitting. This didn't happen. I had to ring up almost everyday for the next two weeks even going into the store and finding out that some of my issues hadn't even been logged on their system. It's the third week now since the carpet fitting and none of my issues (the carpet mound and the missing door bars) have been sorted. Their after sales service is an absolute joke and you will have to spend endless hours on the phone trying to get a hold of someone who may be able to help only to be promised a callback which never happens. Once again, an absolute joke of a company. Go anywhere else for your carpets. NEVER BUY FROM SCS!

If I could give a minus I would gladly. Totally disgusted with the service. Orderd carpets to be fitted on the 11th November, was given a fitting date on the 2nd December which worked well as we told them we were moving in to our new property on the 6th and all our furniture was getting delivered on the 5th (empty house, ideal for fitting) a week later they asked could they fit on the 5th which we declined as furniture was being delivered. Ok they said, then a week later they said the fitter had hurt himself so they could only do the 5th... we had to agree as we had no alternative. We had to push the furniture back which was a nightmare with Christmas looming. The 5th came, I took the day of work with a promise of ScS saying I'll get a phone call when the fitter was in his way, he never turned up, no phone call, not even an apology. It took me an hour to get through to anyone, you cant ring the shop which is a joke, you just get put through to some switch board who then has to email the shop (Stockport) for them to ring me, nobody did, my wife rang several times, same excuse, eventually they rang back at 2o'clock to say the fitter didn't turn up, they then said they MIGHT be able to fit Saturday or Sunday at this point I had to cancel my order. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY from the shop. Customer service is a joke, they literally don't care about the customer. I wouldn't enter or recommend one of there shops, even if they were giving it away for free.

Bought two swivel chairs in 2017 expensive at £1.500 for two chairs we thought but the sales girl Jade assured these chairs are LAZY BOY top quality and come with a 20 year guarantee and she gave us a booklet stating this fact. These chairs can have the height altered and after injuring my back two weeks ago Husband said would alter height as I was struggling to sit down and then get up. We have never altered the height before of either chair. I sat down and my chair straight away went down to the low position. Husbands chair stayed raised up when I sat down in it. Husband said must be something wrong with the hydraulics underneath my chair obviously a mechanical fault which according to the 20 year guarantee is covered. However upon phoning SCS told £75.00 to send someone out. I asked if when you see the chair has not been misused is the money refunded told NO. So they sell you a chair stating it has a 20 year guarantee but do not tell you any repairs needed the customer has to pay for. So how is that a guarantee? Told me the £75.00 charge is stated in the small print of the terms and conditions and it is certainly small needed a magnifying glass to be able to read it. But with the girl going on about this wonderful 20 year guarantee did not feel had to look further for assurances that if we had a problem it would not be put right. Advice do not use this company they are dishonest go elsewhere. Surprised LAZY BOY let them sell their products with such a shoddy after sales service.

Bought a sofa from the Horwich store on 05/11/2019. The member of staff romised me the sofa would be delivered on 29/11/2019 and delivery driver would be in touch when he is dropping it off. I'm happy with this and I advise the member of staff i will make sure my old sofa is removed from my property on 28/11/2019 as he has promised me the sofa will be here the day after. He confirms. No contact until 29/11/2019 when a Gentleman phoned to tell me the sofa will be in their warehouse on 04/01/2020!!! As you can tell i wasn't very happy with this. I contacted head office who advised it will be in their warehouse on 04/12/2019 and will be out for delivery on 05/12/2019. 04/12/2019 comes around and i get a text of SCS telling me to contact urgently to book a delivery... this confused me. I contacted and they advised me that it hasn't been booked in. So i explain I've spoken to the warehouse and the head office who have promised me it will be delivered on 05/12/2019. Gentleman pops me on hold while he speaks to warehouse. He then comes back to me and tells me warehouse has told him I've never been in touch and im lying. I've sent my complaint in and im still without a sofa with a 5 week old baby at home. struggling. This has caused major arguments and upsets in my household at a time that should be a happy occassion. Thanks SCS you are absolutely useless and will encourage anyone looking for new furniture to avoid you like the plague you waste of space!!!!!!

I placed my order with SCS nearly three weeks ago now with the guide delivery date of the 29th November. I made a call to SCS on 22nd November and was yet again reassured that whilst it wouldn't be delivered to me on the 29th, it would be delivered to the warehouse and someone would be in touch to arrange delivery. On the 29th I called again to try and arrange delivery and I was told that it wouldn't be in the warehouse until 9th December. I then made a complaint on the 29th November and I'm still waiting to hear back from anyone regarding this. My advice to anyone looking to purchase any furniture is to go elsewhere - Unless you want to be left waiting and unsure of delivery, in which case, SCS is perfect for you!

Malcolm at the horwich store nice when he selling you items but when he makes a mistake and delivers your 2k products to the wrong address he doesn’t own up. Lost a 2k table n chairs stolen by the people who live in my old address customer service don’t help just put phone down went in store Malcolm denied all knowledge. Went to my old property n looked through the window and there was our table n chairs n coffee table signed by c Brady and there is nothing we can do. Avoid Scs Malcolm at horwich at all costs. This company needs investigating why they didn’t ask for I’d when delivering products. If I could give minus stars I would. Avoid horwich bolton Malcolm

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Bought a two seater and three seater sofa from the store in Liverpool and they were great at convincing us to take insurance out. Sofa seats on two seater started to flatten after two months and we have been given short shrift from the aftercare team (dismissed as wear and tear), insurers (only fabric not inserts covered) and store - told to phone ombudsman despite the fact that they are not under any ombudsman. Huge amount of time wasted and horrendous customer service. Can not stress enough not to buy from this company. Very unhappy.

We were told that cushions were included with our settee and chair, the salesperson showed us what material we could have for the cushions, after the furniture was delivered (a day late) with no cushions on telephoning the branch I was told they were not included and we would have to pay extra for them. We were also told the settee would be assembled once it was in the house as we were concerned about the size which was also not the case! I had a wasted day off work as the lorry broke down which although is unavoidable apparently after talking to several people this happens a lot.

Thoroughly disgusted with the service. Mum spoke to the Speke manager who told her that no delivery date should ever have been stated. So in other words...... we've had your money now you play the waiting game!? He couldn't even guarantee delivery before the new year FFS.... the suite was ordered & paid for weeks ago!! What a tinpot outfit!! Extremely angry about this and your customer service gets a big zero!!!!!!!

Malcom at the horwich store is fantastic at selling you a product but when there is a problem he gets short with you. Was told today our goods have been delivered yet been in all day and god knows where they have delivered them. Customer service at delivery Center on hold for one hour then they cut you off. Absolute joke of a company. Fantastic at selling once you out the door terrible.
