We paid over £700 for our carpet which has been poorly fitted, SCS have been disgusting in their behaviour, we had the carpet fitters back after much pleading and said carpet still has a hole which can’t be fixed and is fraying , this awful company have offered us a Paul try £100 compensation and won’t budge on this despite the fact that we will shortly have to replace the carpet as they use cowboy carpet fitters AVOID

Customer service is appalling through no fault of our own my 3 seater sofa was brought in a van damaged and never got off the van. We have waited a week for information to what is happening but no one will take responsibility just get passed from pillar to post when I phone. I will not wait 12 weeks for a new one I want my money back with comp for all this stress. I will go to the papers with this. I wish I had never heard of S C S and feel sick everytime their advert comes on knowing how they treat people.

Dreadful customer service...we bought a sisa italia couch and chair, thinking it was quality the chair is like a sinkhole... no support whatsoever. They Sent an upholsterer to look at it who said it’s fine (but offered to sort it for £70)an independent upholsterer says the wrong type of foam is in seat... too soft! Now they want to charge me £75 for someone else to look at it! No customer support at all .... never again 😡

If I could give a minus star it would deserve it Avoid at all costs as they are a bunch of liars who sell goods then either don't deliver or sell you very shoddy goods.Before buying check out a FB page called SCS complaints page where lots of people post their horror stories Customer service non existent In my case let me down on vinyl flooring and lied about installation when I had been dumped for a full house fit Needed the room doing as son was having open heart surgery and needed to self isolate They didn't show up Awful after care and offered £30 compensation They are not part of the furniture ombudsman scheme and that says it all CAB bombarded with complaints and many envoke section 75 to get refunds or take small claims court cases Please don't buy from SCS

i wish i could give 0 stars or even a minus. Avoid this company is my advice we ordered a 3k leather corner sofa from this firm, we went back to the shop several times after measuring it. As it was too large to get in in one piece we ordered a furniture upholsterer to dismantle it on the day also through SCS. when the item arrived it was the wrong configuration, we ordered a left handed on and a right handed came. we called the store straight away to point this out but they told us it was our fault because we signed. the form didnt say which way it was only that it was a 2corner1 from that we was told we should have known what that meant in SCS in store jargon. we was very clear which configuration we wanted. there was one in store and clearly told the salesman that we wanted the opposite way to that one. the very idea that we wouldnt know which we need for our house is laughable. i wrote to the relevant departments they would either ignore me or take months to reply at the time of all of this my father had just been diagnosed with cancer and i was his primary carer. i had to deal with 3 years of them playing me and treating me like dirt for a mistake that clearly wasnt mine. they could easily had the sofa back and ordered the correct one while selling this without a loss, but theyd rather lie, cheat, steal. i was due to go to the small claims court when my father finally passed away. i needed the money id saved for court for his funeral. afterwards i couldnt face it so they got away with ripping us off. id advise anyone contemplating dealing with this firm to keeping well away. my brother had a similar issue with dfs and it was sorted the same week. this company are awful please avoid at all costs

Bought my sofa in 2018 it’s hardly been used and the frame is splitting its creaking on one side when investigated underneath you can see the frame is starting to come through the bottom under cloth , spoke to customer after care and they have told me the frame is under warranty for ten years BUT I have a £75 call out charge for someone to come out and decide if it’s a faulty frame or accidentally broken , absolutely disgusting, I’m fuming best thing about it I bought this on finance as I was unable to afford one out right and I’m still paying for it so basically I’m paying now for a settee we are afraid to sit on in case the frame goes all together

Best avoided. An old delivery scam to grab some more money is included in the price, so be prepared. When you are given your delivery it's only after their phone lines close and you can't change it. A text and email will arrive around 7pm telling you delivery is the next day and to rebook means the best part of £100 and that your new sofa will be loaded on and off the lorry and end up battered before you even receive it.. never again. Advise any potential customers to pay by credit card and to use the cover a card purchase provides.

I cannot even start to tell you what went wrong with this Company, absolutely everything! The manager in the Drumchapel store in Glasgow had the cheek to say to me, "Giving you some sort of compensation is not going to give you a suite to sit on" This is when I said I was not paying for the delivery. Failed delivery, no apology. Had to wait another week for redelivery. The time slots were mixed up. Delivered in a hired van that had a leak in the roof and my new suite sitting on top of it, footstool broken. I decided to send it back. The sofa has now been discontinued, but to be honest I cancelled the complete order. What a shower of cowboys and the manager in the shop needs to learn that the customer is always right!!I I did take a picture of the van with the leak in it but it failed to come out, probably pressed the wrong button on camera as I was so angry, but I have photo of the broken leg in footstool. He also said that was easily fixed!! Shower of cowboys, please avoid. I now have nothing to sit on until we'll after Xmas but I certainly would rather that than giving this shower my money!!

Bought three items of furniture and had faults occur on two of them, one was the wood peeling off of the supposed solid wood coffee table, contacted and sent them pics, no answer , chased and chased to be told it was my fault and they would not do anything, PLEASE DO NOT BUY OFF THIS SCAM COMPANY AND SPREAD THE WORD TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Reading out peoples comments here doesnt even want to order from them now anymore. Looks like scs is fraud sofas company with fake leather..jesus christ cant even reply to their customers needs. Fake fake. Keep your sofas with yourselves scs.

Jumped on as soon as I walked in ! Was told I would get delivery August that turned into September after me chasing the missed delivery , no contact from company I had to chase, September delivery a no show now been promised October do not shop with this company !!!

Ordered carpet 6th July, fitting date 21st August.I changed date to 27th August with customer support team. SCS didn't turn up rang to say it was 28th even though I had email confirmation. Fitter rang Friday said he could fit Monday. Arrived Monday with wrong colour carpet. Manager at Croydon branch promised to call to sort out problems, never did. After threatening to cancel finally got new fitting date 25th September, guess what never showed up. Went to branch and cancelled order. AVOID THIS LOT, never call you, no updates, you have to do all the chasing, tell untruths. Don't waste your time trying to talk to customer support, go to branch and kick up a fuss. Check Martin Lewis website for help. They are in breach of consumer Rights if they fail to deliver on time. If you do order (don't do it) insist on the wording "Time is of the essence" on the order it may help with your case if they fail to deliver. Use an independent supplier.

Bought 3 and 2 recliner Ralph. Took insurance out. Cost in full £1500 after 18 months the faux leather has come off. Really a mess scs said your only guarantee was on frame work. Not upholstery. I googled the complaints and very surprised. The amount of people this has happened to. They change the name of suite to Loren . If I knew I would of bought a better suite. Total waste of money

Horrendous company. Terrible customer service. They recommended a floor fitter who long story short THREATENED my 39week pregnant girlfriend after she pointed out the horrendous job he had done with our flooring and when contacted around this matter they pretty much shrugged and said 'he doesn't work for us' though to my understanding he is still representing them! They then proceed to give us our babies due date for when a surveyor will come out to look at the terrible 'work' that has been done. Would never use this company again, and would highly recommend anyone reading this to go elsewhere.

Ordered my suite on the 11th July, was expecting it 2and October. When this date passed with no contact from them, I sent 2 emails which were ignored. Eventually I managed to speak with someone on the phone who told me it is now not expected in the warehouse until 16th November. Really bad customer service that nobody had informed me if this. Would not use this company again.

Don't buy from SCS!! Firstly, we were hounded in the Croydon store by a salesman who was clearly after his commission. He followed us around constantly. We did eventually find a settee and were only asked about access, which we had - nothing was mentioned about size or dimensions. Consequently when the settee (which was delayed) was delivered it didn't fit. It cost us another £75 to have the settee broken down and restored (with gorilla glue!). It then transpired it wasn't the settee we had ordered - it was a different design. My daughter-in-law also ordered from SCS recently and had a dreadful time too when the colour differed quite substantially from the swatch she was shown. A grey corner settee turned out to be green. There was no offer of a refund of course. Once these people have hold of your money there's no getting it back! Certainly we would never buy from SCS again.

We ordered 3 & 2 seater sofas, plus armchair and carpet from Wednesbury store on 4th July. We were told about 13 weeks for sofas - that was fine, and a delivery date for carpet middle of September. Bit long for the carpet but we needed time to decorate living room so it was ok. Had email confirmation about sofas nothing about carpet. Phoned customer services FOUR times before we got some sense, that was only after my husband asked for the regional manager to phone him which he did. Was told carpet would be 29th September so they had to delay sofas. We reckon they forgot to put carpet order through. Come late September, had phone call, carpet won’t be delivered until 15th October! Manufacturers fault apparently. Then today (8th Oct), they called to say carpet will have to be delayed AGAIN! They’ve now given us a date of 3rd November! My husband has gone spare at them, and all they can do is apologise and say it isn’t their fault. Not good enough! I’ve never known a carpet take so long. And of course they’re using COVID as an excuse. What rubbish! They don’t tell you there could be a delay due to Covid when you’re ordering from them! They pounce on you as soon as you enter the store and their adverts are on every ad break! Yet they can’t deliver on time because of Covid. My husband has told them this is the last chance otherwise he said he will go to the store and yell at the top of his voice until he gets his money back! Of all the places at Wednesbury retail park we could’ve gone to and we picked them! Never again! Do not use SCS!

I had scs come to do my carpet on Friday the 2nd of October and they did not have the joining machine so they said they will be back on the Monday 5th of October and it is now the 8th of October still not here I am disabled and my partner has sever depression and anxiety this is just unbelievable I have payed over £1000.00 and they are just out of order they make u fill so ill and my partner is really struggling with this I whoud rather die than have anything to do with scs ever again after this

Theres a backlog at the warehouse still waiting 4 months for my sofas but stores still continue to take orders. Do not recomend.

Just do not buy from them, simple. Seems from many reviews they play the same game everywhere Low prices for crappy furniture. I have been chasing them for over a year and that after they delivered the wrong color suite in the first place. If you buy and have a problem they will just give you the run around and blame other companies like Homeserve. then claim the manufacturer has said no problem exists,but fail to inform you until they are challenged. Save your self a lot of potential trouble ,DO NOT from them. - period.
