When arrived there, a van picked us up to a middle of nowhere in a garage, where they had a desk at the yard with a card machine, trying to charge everyone with UK driving license 400EUR extra for the international driving license fee. Its a total scam.”

We booked through Priceline, prepaid for a car. Day before arrival I got a call about documents needed to be signed - didn't think much of it. Once we arrived we had to call to find a guy , who supposed to meet us ( a problem, since not every cell phone works there!) Instead of driving us to the office we were forced to sign not only rental agreement but payment authorization for $1000. When inquired I was told it was just a security hold - IT WAS NOT. I also had to provide my own car insurance details - all of this outside in 100F at the airport and a guy with the car kept calling his boss every time I asked a question.
We returned the car without any damages and money was not returned, nor were any calls and messages.
After couple of weeks I ended up disputing the charge and got $1000 back - Thank you AMEX.
Also the car we were given was listed for sale at the local dealership, which I presume is connected to surprice rental.
Whole experience put a damper on our vacation.”
“I rented a car from SurPrice in Sardinia and returned it in perfect condition, but no one was there to inspect it. Days later, I received an invoice for €325 claiming "dirty" carpets needed replacing. This is a clear scam! They are fraudulently charging customers for fake damage. Avoid them!”
“Auto wypożyczyłem we Florencji w wypożyczalni Autone/Sureprice przez sieć Discover Cars w dniach 9-18.07.2024. Już przy odbiorze dowiedziałem się że nie ma możliwości zwrotu samochodu przed godziną 8 co spowodowało że musiałem zmienić swój plan podróży aby być we Florencji 17.07 i oddać samochód dzień wcześniej. W trakcie odbioru chciałem pracownicy pokazać kilak rysek które sfotografowałem ale bardzo nieprzyjemna pani nie wyszła zza biurka.
Przy zwrocie pracownik potwierdził że samochód jest zatankowany do pełna i że wszytko jest OK, ale nie podpisał mi dokumentu tłumacząc się że musi samochód jeszcze umyć.
Po dwóch dniach zostałem obciążony kwotą 1122,48 euro. Pobrano z mojej karty, oraz zatrzymano depozyt w wysokości 1200 euro. Po stoczonej bali we wrześniu dowiedziałem się że to obciążenie jest spowodowane uszkodzeniem pojazdu oraz nie pełnym bakiem. Nie przesłano żadnych zdjęć ani opisu uszkodzenia. Samochód został oddany w bez jakiegokolwiek uszkodzenia, a bak był pełny. Obciążenie jest bezzasadne. Proszę uważajcie na tych nieuczciwych ludzi. Zapamiętajcie AUTONE omijajcie z daleka.”
“Everything went wrong, no shuttle service from airport, resulting in a taxi to get to their depot, which is located in the middle of nowhere. Rude, unhelpful staff, that look like they should be in a gang rather than working for a business. So many people before me having arguments over money with them. Please do not use them, you will regret it.”

When we got there they were closed, we had to rent a different car that cost triple the original cost. the next morning they canceled our car because of a no show. “What disgrace of a company. Booking made weeks in advance. Showed our tescos credit card for the desposit, they said it wasnt a physical bank so couldn't take it. It's was a physical card. Didn't try the card at all. Just said no. However if we paid 500 euros more we could have a car! We followed all conditions in the booking. We were there for 1.5 hours to try to sort it. They were just happy to leave us stranded in a foreign country without a car.
Other customers came and went whilst we were there. The vast majority complain about the service or had to pay extra! They even said to a lone lady who they caused an issue- 'is this my issue or yours!' APALLING SERVICE. Another instance was a man that arrived 39 minutes outside his time window due to a delayed flight - he had to pay 150 euros. Beware, I wish I has listened to all the horrendous reviews and not risked it. Please don't make the same mistake as me.”
“All the reviews are true. This is the wordt carrental experience i ever had. Really be careful. They are not lenient at all with a virtual credit card.
They won’t let you use your partner’s creditcard unless you pay they’re insurance of 500 euro’s. Then they still block around 900 euro’s after that.

“The worst experience of my life. We had a car booked in Pisa and they didn't give us any information about the collect point I had to pay at taxi to get there. Once we went there they started to complaint about my Id about my credit card and they didn't want to let me get the car but ince my wife said I give you the Amex they said YES and they want to charge 700€ more. At this stage we left the customer service was very very very poor and they didn't care about the customer. I saw families with lids leaving that place under the sun because they don't know their job and they are a Big Scam Company. Thanks to the other car rental next to them I was able to leave Pisa with a car on a cheaper rate. This is ridiculous and I will act legally as well because they want to keep my deposit.

“This has been my worst car rental experience ever. they confirmed a reservation for an economy car with automatic transmission. Upon pick up I was informed the only automatic transmission available was in their most expensive category (something they had told the couple before us also, so this is systematic) and we would need to pay significantly more for our two day rental. When I tried to explain that my reservation was confirmed weeks ago and while I was not set on the size of the car I was set on the type of transmission so expected them to deliver this to me, the counter staff proceeded to yell at me for a full 15 minutes, interrupting me every single time I tried to get in a word. DO NTO EVER rent from them. They are frauds.”

Very unfriendly and unkind People. Never rent a car from Surprice/Autoone Pisa, if you don't want a bad surprise. My choice whas very fast and so the first the best. It definately wasn't.. It whas the first the worst.
And even not fast, they work as slow as the could.. Screaming to customers seems to be normal for the Surprice workers.
We got another car, a 4 person not a 5, so one of the kids had no seat belt. But safety isnt their priority at all, the money is. They are reallly looking to find a scratch, when there is nothing, they make them while you are waiting for someone to help you. Choose another company, if you don't want any troubles. And as I see, I am not the only one.”

The company charged 40 Euros to take me to the airport despite advertising free shuttle. The airport was a 7 minute drive. We used two other different rental companies in Portugal and this company was by far the worst. “They indicate that they are at Athens airport but they will not deliver a car at airport. They will confirm your time but then if it's prior opening hours your flight they will ask for additional 40 euro to take you to the airport. They will hold 900 euro on top of insurance on your credit card and if you have only debit card they will not rent the car to you even if you paid for it and you will loose your money. BETTER WALK THAN RENT FROM THEM”

The service is very bad, they charged me €350 for insurance just because my license was not international, the place to pick up the car is terrible and improvised, in the hall of an old building full of printed papers indicating the service desk. “Worst company ever. Had to wait 25 mins to be picked up at Vienna airport to be taken to the dingy office. The car they wanted to give us had a crack in across the entire wind screen, from one side to the other. The guy renting the car said, the car is fine there is just a small thing on the right side. When I complained, they did not have another car when I refused to drive a car that is so dangerous. In the end, we had to rent another car which was super expensive as it was last minute. This Surprice rental car company is really bad. They force you to get insurance, and you have to call them to pick up to the airport shuttle, and you have to wait more than an hour for the shuttle to come, and if you pay 12-25 pounds to go back to the airport, they will take you there immediately, other wise they just say you have to wait more than 40 minutes, and they make people who are pressed for time to fly panic and pay for their shuttle service to make more money. It's really bad. If you do Budget, you won't have to go through all this pain and can easily rent a car and take the shuttle back and forth. (Tsk)(Horror)(Devil)
I saw a person arguing with the staff at the counter. The staff threatened a lot to get insurance. When the customer refused, they suddenly said that the reservation was canceled. When the customer insisted, they finally started the paperwork.
I needed to go to Terminal 3, but they dropped me off at Terminal 4, which is very close to the rental company, and told me to take the subway. When I arrived, I had to pay with a credit card to get on the subway. Also, the distance from the subway station to the check-in counter is very long, so if you are pressed for time, you will be worried. Pay 20 Pounds more and use Burget or Avis Rentals. That will be much, much better. They are a really bad company. I will never use them again. You will be disappointed if you book because they look cheaper price. It is not cheaper or convenient. Never choose this rental company ever.”
