I signed up to talk talk for TV & broadband however for a technical reason couldn't have it that was 2yrs ago and talk talk are hounding me with debt collection agency for over £200 cancellation fee. They couldn't provide me with a service that was not my fault. Stay Clear Horrendous company. Diabolical customer service

Charged unfairly £144! I had a broadband and landline contract with with Talk Talk and because lately the internet connection was dropping very often I had to call customer service to cancel however they persuaded me to take on another contract "fibre contract" that apparently would work better and that I would have another 20 days cooling off etc. Because the internet had same issues I decided to cancel the contract being assure over the phone by Talk Talk that there won't be an early exit fee etc. However after another month I received a bill with £144 early exit fee! After calling again the costumer service they said it's the fault of new provider, Virgin Media, because they did not switch within "cooling off" therefore Talk Talk considered the cancellation on disconnection day and not the actual phone call requesting the cancellation. Stay away from Talk Talk!!!

AWFUL COMPANY AVOID Switched my elderly parents to Simple Telecom in October. Talk Talk released my parents number too early, so they were left with no service for 18 hours. Then continued billing them! Sent various emails, thank goodness I got my parents to cancel direct debit! Even sent them screenshot of Simple Telecom order but refused to accept my parents had left. My dad who is 89 told them to stop calling and authorised them to talk to me. Guess what they ignored this! Asked for written response to our complaint but never got it. They are required by law to issue a letter of impasse and adjudicator details.. never received. Finally on phone for over hour to a person who barely spoke english, gave robotic answers and persistently put on hold. Said he was the most 'profitable' agent they had? They have now agreed to 'disconnect' my parents, good luck with that one! And waived 'outstanding' charges. Absolutely disgusting. Will report to Ofcom.

I`ve been on the phone for an hour and a half trying to renew my deal. Different tariffs depending on the customer agent I spoke to. What an absolute shambles, almost lost the will to live!! This company needs some proper staff training

If there is a definition of a lousy business with careless attitude towards the customers then TalkTalk should be a prime candidate to take the place. During the pandemic I had to get back to my home country and terminate the contract early. I knew about their early termination fees and was okay with them up until the moment when this company started bombarding me with email about "don't leave, stay with us".

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They are a con company ! They do a hard credit check with out telling you which affects your credit, the people that you talk to are all from Indian and have no clue who they are working for ! They all read off the same scrip and repeat them selves ! And THE WORST THING EVER ... THEY WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL WITH THEM ! They lied to me 30 times... said there’s no manager ... there system went down after she was just log on ... you have to be connected to someone else ... I just need to talk to the manager but you just told me I can’t talk to a manger because of COVID lol this company is a joke ! There not a company there more of a SCAM AND THIEFS ... I had to threaten to kill my self to get them to cancel my contract ! That’s how vile this company is ! stay away from these scum bags ! Pay that little bit extra with bt or sky Atleast u can talk to someone in English/England and they are not reading off a script and actually no what there doing also it takes about an hour to get through to somone with talk talk and they deliberately put you on hold for an hour so you put the phone down ! AVOID ! It’s not worth going through the trauma I had with these evil people!

This company is not even worth half a star! I have been a reluctant Talk Talk customer for a few years. I was offered broadband at a reasonable price and purchased from this company (bad decision on my part). From the moment I had connection the service was average at best. The connection would drop daily and after several calls to them fobbing me off every time I just allowed this to happen (I honestly could not be bothered to try and speak with them anymore). I stayed with Talk Talk (I must have been mad) as I was offered even faster broadband and was assured that the issues I was experiencing would be resolved with the faster service. Unfortunately for me this was not the case and the signal kept dropping daily. I decided to cancel with them at the end of my 18 month contract and attempted calling them again. They would simply not listen to me and again, would try to fob me off. The calls I made to the customer service teams were answered by staff who can barely speak basic English and asking for anything is practically impossible, as they always need to ask a Manager for approval (why not just put me through to a Manager?. Finally, I managed to cancelled 30 days ago and guess what? They are still taking money from my account, even though it is cancelled. I called them and waited 20 minutes to speak with someone. They finally answer and say that they are experiencing technical difficulties and are unable to assist me. No offer to call me back as they stated that they are just far too busy (these are the words of the customer service team). I would strongly recommend anyone looking to use this company think very wisely as I can guarantee you that they will not offer a service that you would expect. Look at the reviews and see for yourself! I WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Also, the poor person at Talk Talk who replies to negative reviews - Please don't bother asking me to contact the Talk Talk community. You know that you are completely useless as a company and need to get your act together in these difficult times. HALF A STAR AT BEST .....

Horrendous. Worst customer service I have EVER EVER experienced. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! You can phone up all the times you want, be on hold for hours, speak to no end of people, email, fill in their online chats, and you will STILL get NOWHERE!!!!! It has now been 11 months since i submitted a change of ownership on the account and still hasn't gone through, and it never will. Now after even more wasted hours I am trying to cancel and of course they still want to charge an extortionate fee. I am now liable for it all despite trying to change the ownership 11 months ago! They promise and promise to look into it and call you back, they never ever do. You can raise complaints and it will do nothing. AN EMBARRASSMENT OF A SERVICE!!!!

I wanted to close my account and the customer service was really really bad and seems to have a short temper with customers. Once I got no help I switched to getting help via live chat. They have transferred me to 3 different department with around 15-20 minutes wait in between and still refused to help.

I have had TalkTalk for years and I can honestly say that I have no serious complaints - and therefore no comments about customer services because I have very rarely needed them. Yes, at times the service seems slow or slower, but from reading other provider reviews that seems a common problem. There have been three users in this house, one who has used the service for a part-time interest in DJ'ing, one who has done extensive university work online as well as played games, and myself, an "average" user: TalkTalk has not caused us any problems with simultaneous usage. (My only trivial moan is that, whenever they offer me a new contract, it is always more than my current one (that appears to have no end date anyway!).

had problems for months I cannot get any body to speak to me on the phone. talk talk say they have good free help line, total rubbish, if you do not have a mobile you cannot access it. Have I and many others been paying for something you are not providing. You owe us a big refund and a would like mine before I leave. There is nothing in your advertising what says you have to have a mobile phone. My broadband line speed is 0.5 on a good day nearly as fast as a 2nd stamp. if any friends plan on sending me Christmas greetings by e-mail, last post for me 18th.

THE ABSOLUTELY WORST INTERNET COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!! I usually never do this but after the experience that i had with this absolute joke of a company i have no choice but to warn everyone who's thinking about joining. I joined TalkTalk because sadly that was the only option i had at the time due to me moving in to a new build property which has the absolute worst connection issues. Plus, £17.99 a month wasn't a bad deal so what could go wrong? First 6 months the WiFi was fine, not the best but no complaints. After another 6 months went by, the connection started to get funny so because of this i requested for a TalkTalk engineer to come and check out the problem. They went through the terms and conditions and explained that somebody would have to be at home and if nobody is then TalkTalk would charge me. I understood fully and made sure my wife was at home that day because i had a shift at work that day. The engineer arrived and checked everything and said that TalkTalk will get back to us with an update. That very night i received a message from TalkTalk telling me that everything is fine and that there was nothing else needed to be done on my side. Now knowing the reputation of TalkTalk i decided to contact them and confirm that everything was fine and i wouldn't be charged for anything since the engineer successfully done his job. They assured me that i would not be charged for anything and i can resume using the internet as usual. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left it that. Notice by the way, how 'I' as a customer went out of my way to make sure that 'THEY' don't make a mistake. On billing day, you wont believe it, they went ahead and charged me the amount that they would have charged if nobody was at home 😡😡😡 i called TalkTalk's customer crappy service and asked what the hell they are playing at. After passing me around to 4 different departments i finally got through to a manager who i explained everything to and guess what he said?....... 'It' s your fault for not checking your monthly statement' 😲😲😲😲 can you believe this guy? I blasted him and told him how dare he blame the customer especially since i made all the effort to make sure that they don't overcharge me. Now they refunded me which is fine but what they didn't realise is that I'm a student and live on a very tight budget, so therefore, i went in to an overdraft because of there stupid and careless mistake. When i called them and explained that they would have to pay the bank charges as well since NatWest charge £6 a day for being on overdraft and TalkTalk refunded me 2 weeks later, so the charges built up quite a bit. After a ton of transfers from department to department i decided to give up since i knew i wasn't going to get anything out of these useless buggers. I would just remain patient until my contract comes to an end and i would leave. But, can you believe that I'm having to suffer because of an Internet company 😭😭 1 month before my contract ends i called up CrapTalk's customer service to let them know that I'm going to leave and that they should cancel my contract as soon as my last month is up, again, they assured me that they would do that but guess what?...... Yep, that's right, they didn't cancel the account! A month later i see on my bank statement that these guys have charged me the original price of the internet which i think was about £35.99. I couldn't believe it 😳 how can this company be this damn stupid? Just how? How is this company still running when they cant even cancel a damn contract. I called them up again and explained that I'm absolutely livid and cant believe they didn't cancel my contract. The agent tells me that apparently nobody had cancelled my account and that there was no info on me requesting to cancel 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 At this point i just started laughing hysterically, i told them that they record there calls with customers so all they had to do was go through the call chat and listen for themselves. They put me on hold for 15 mins and then came back and said that they apparently couldn't access the call (LIARS) but they appologise for the mistake and will not charge me and end our relationship on that. I requested for them to send me an email to confirm that my account was cancelled but guess what, they are apparently not allowed to do that 🙄🙄 typical, you can charge people for nothing but cant send a simple email 🤣🤣🤣 Sick people 2 months later, i now have debt collectors sent by TalkTalk to recover £35 for a service i haven't even used in 2 months 🤣🤣🤣 You cant make this stuff up folks. JUST SO YOU KNOW TALKTALK, IM NOT PAYING YOU JACK! I WANT THIS CASE TO GO TO COURT SO I CAN SUE YOU FOR ALL THIS DISTRESS THAT YOU'VE CAUSED ME. I WILL FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE MAKE SURE THAT NOBODY I LOVE WILL EVER JOIN YOUR DISGRACEFUL COMPANY. SEE YOU IN COURT!!!

So I tried to cancel their broadband because I've moved. I've done this before with Sky, BT and Now TV who just cancelled it at my request straight away. Then here comes TalkTalk. Called yesterday to cancel, told me their system was down so nothing could be put through. Rude customer service who barely understood anything and sounded like he just wanted to school me. Changed to live chat today. First person kicked the ball down the line to Loyalty department. The guy in Loyalty department tried so hard to sell me new contract like his life depends on it. Not me, okay, how about your friends? your families? your landlord? the new tenants coming to my old place? (like I know them?) blahblahblah. Well how about my dog or the random screaming seagulls on my roof? When he finally realised it's over by kicking the ball down to Retention Department. It took them another 20 minutes just to come back saying their system was still down and the only thing they can do is to arrange a call back when their system is back up?? Then it comes the 30 day notice period, never clearly stated when signing up but hiding in the middle of a 17-page long T&C. Never ever had such problems with any of my previous suppliers. Okay I'll give you this one. My bad for not treating your mighty company as a potential scammer and scrutinise every word you put out there and gave up when I had the chance. Not to mention that their broadband was not great either and do bear with them if you found your internet down every other week The way they try to retain customers is an absolute disgrace. Never ever again and I'll make sure my experience is shared with as many people as possible.

I did a distant contract with this company and few day after the technician came to fix the broadband we realised that we didn't have home phone service. I looked for the customer service number in all the emails received and in any of it was the customer service number; after all my daughter came to visit me and she provided me with the number. It was before the 14 day cooling off time and I was so upset that I wanted to end the contract straight away because the internet as well was very unstable. it happened that when I expressed my desire in the other side of the line they customer adviser threaten me with charge me already with early leaving bill. From that they, their customer service team just tried to avoid attend my petition to leave them till my cooling time run out and at the end I to paid them what they wanted. IS A VERY BAD COMPANY TO MAY DEALS WITH. I DON'T RECOMEND TO ANYONE NEW TO JOIN THEM.
