Absaloutely appoling! Disgusting how they treat us customers who pay a lot of money for these holidays! Booked with them in August when they were well aware in July that Thomas Cook was going bust but still insisted on using them as a airline provider so they could scam customers out of money, was told if get my money back on the 4th of October no what a shock!! 4 th of October came 14th of October came and I was promised no apology hair in mind I was promised that my money which they were holding Not Thomas Cook I'd get back by the 21st of October well bang goes the 21st of October and I am still 2k out of pocket plus any extras I booked onto my flights I phoned them to be told wait another month. Rude inconsiderate bastards never again will I bother with this disgusting scum. I have reported this to Sunday mail raw deals and I have contacted ombudsman disgusting filth.

Having seen a fantastically priced 1 week holiday in a rather nice hotel on their website I decided to call and book it. That particular date and price was "fully booked" when speaking to the sales lady - she then tried to upsell me another hotel in the same area but at a higher price - which I kindly declined and stated I would go back online and peruse further- she would not let me get off the phone - after 3 other attempts to get me to book the hotels not of my choice and 40 minutes later - low and behold she said that she had found an upgrade - sea views - apartment at the hotel I initially wanted. Along with the upgrade came a higher price - then the luggage , then the transfer ... but I was at my witts end and my husband told me to go for it .... so what started off as a cheap week away at around £500 cost almost £900. At the end of her sales pitch while she was clapping her hands at her gained commission from my sale she then started to run through the terms and conditions at a speed I have never heard before ... I hadnt a clue what she had said but she then asked if I agree ... so I said "No .. I haven't heard what you said - its taken 40 minutes to seal the deal at least speak at a speed that I can understand what you are stating". She finished by saying that these terms would be readable in the confirmation text she was sending out .... so Crikey knows what on earth I was supposed to do with that piece of information! When we arrived at the hotel room .... all else went fine ... the room was NOT a sea view - in fact the view was right into another apartments window .... and you had to crane your neck skywards off the balcony to see what the weather was doing! The hotel were very accommodating and helpful but could only offer me the room which teletext had reserved for me .... we did eventually upgrade but only after paying the hotel a further 124 euros for 3 nights in a room with a sea view ... It was beautiful - but felt cheated and rather unhappy at being duped by Teletext in the first place. A couple we met at the hotel were also in the same rooms as we were originally, had arrived the same day, were staying for the same duration and had also gone through teletext ... but at a slightly cheaper rate of ... £500!! Imagine my anger at having learnt this! On our return home I phoned to complain only to be informed all complaints were only accepted via e mail or at their office address in writing. I can assure you that I have complained to Teletext - as yet unanswered - all receipts attached - so no excuses from them should be heard as delaying tactics - but I doubt - given what I have read in this forum, that I will be successful in getting even the extra 124 euros we paid back as an apology from them. Maybe I should have listened to gut instinct when 1st booking ....... Oh well, lets see what pans out with them after they finally get back to me in response. But rest assured - no more holidays via teletext in future!!

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY, STAY CLEAR! I booked a holiday to turkey 2 weeks before Thomas cook unfortunately collapsed. Luckily for us we wasn’t one of those poor families stuck abroad, we was due to fly out two weeks after. Two days after the news I called teletext to see if we could change our trip but prices went through the roof so we decided to cancel the trip and get a refund. While on the phone I asked if they could process the refund, I was told I had to call customer services and they couldn’t transfer me. At this point I knew it was going to be a struggle. I called the customer service number the day after and was on hold for 40 minutes, I gave up and tired again the next day. 20 minutes on hold I finally got through to someone and said I would like a refund please. He took ages to find my booking and kept asking me security questions. After placing me on hold a few times he finally “found” my booking. Then he started to say he can see we’ve been offered some alternative holidays etc and continued to try and try offer me holidays I didn’t want. He then put me on hold again and then he eventually came back to me asked for my card details. He then asked me more security questions and my card details again, put me on hold again and came back to me offering me FLIGHTS. I was getting really annoyed at this point and literally had to beg for him to process my refund. He then put me on hold for ANOTHER 10 MINUTES and he finally said it has been processed. Then the battle started to get confirmation that the booking had been cancelled and to confirm the refund was going to be processed, he wouldn’t let me speak and kept speaking over me. In the end I receive some sort of confirmation but his attitude was something else. Now looking into other reviews we also got miss sold baggage. We only got the written confirmation after they processed the payment. I can safely say I would never book a week holiday with only a cabin bag when asked to speak to a team leader or a manager I was told they were on annual leave. In the end after a 3 hour call I gave in and added some hold cases to my booking. It took me 55 minutes to get a refund. The call centre is based in Asia and I have never experienced such poor customer service. Being in a sales role myself I’m very aware of customer service but I have never felt so disregarded in all my life. You are literally just a number to them, once they have your money they wash their hands with you.

If I am being honest I shouldn't be surprised (after reading all the other complaints on teletext holidays) that I am writing this today. Anyway around the end of July I booked a package holiday through teletext holidays and I was informed on multiple occasions that I had paid for one 20kg check in bag and I doubled, even triple checked with not only the man I was on the phone to, who went by the name Jackson but I also live chatted with teletext support twice to ensure my baggage was included as part of my prepaid package as I had read reviews in which people had said they were told their baggage was included in their package however once they reached the airport the airline had no information on any prepaid baggage and guess what? the same happened to myself. I therefore had to pay £130 to check the bag in, luckily I had the money in my account to cover it however imagine I didn't I would have been wearing the same outfit 7 days in a row and my spending money took an unexpected hit before I even left the airport! Surprisingly everything else ran smoothly so when I arrived home from holiday I took up my complaint with teletext via email as for some reason you can't make complaints on the phone, probably because their phone lines would explode! I sent detailed emails showing clearly that I was told my baggage was included. Now they eventually got back to me but only after I left a review on another website, coincidence or what? Their excuse for not refunding me the £130 was due to the fact my girlfriends name was on the baggage receipt and that the prepaid bag was under my name. It is completely irrelevant whos name the receipt is under considering we only had one 20kg check in bag between us and as I said above when we arrived to check in the airline had no details of any check in baggage. The only reason the receipt is in my girlfriends name is due to the fact it was her passport the woman used when we were paying to check the bag in at the airport. I replied to their email explaining this to them however still no reply, what a surprise! I am still fighting to get my money back as companies cant just expect to get away with things like this. If anything I hope this serves as a warning to anyone on here thinking of using teletext holidays, DONT DO IT. The low cost inst worth the hassle! Hope this is helpful.

Called just for a quote and had a very pushy Salesperson. Holiday seemed like a great deal so booked and payed a deposit. Called back to pay the remaining balance later that day to be told it had gone up by £50. Decided to pay the extra. I am flying in 8 days time and I booked 3 days ago. I still have not received confirmation of the booking or even a receipt of payment. They take the money off you before the holiday is confirmed. After several phone calls they are still saying it will be available when the quality assurance is confirmed. Which to me means my holiday has not been booked yet.I have started a complaint with ABTA. I wish I had read the reviews before booking through teletext. Please avoid like the plague. Their customer service is appalling and they really do not care unless they are taking money off yoi.

DO NOT use Teletext Holidays to book a holiday. I attempted to cancel my holiday due to family issues and was told that no amendments could be made and ended up losing just under £2000!! Contacted American Airlines and was informed that I COULD change my flight dates but the travel agent would have to book it. I then contacted them to make the changes and was obviously told it was impossible. Best to book with a trusted company than a company like Truly Travel or Teletext Holidays. Unless you are looking to give away free money. Absolutely ridiculous! Spent £2000 on a holiday I was unable to attend.

First of all I would like to say a few different things here, after hours upon hours and days upon days of trying to book a holiday with teletext. I first called and booked a nice holiday in Lanzarote for me and my girlfriend as I seen one I liked online, they asked me to pay a deposit of £120.00 and I kindly paid it because they had guaranteed that if I paid it my hotel, flights and transfers were completely secure, the guy told me I should receive a phone call within 10 minutes to get my booking reference number, 30 minutes later I received a phone call telling me that the flights could not be booked as there is no seats left and could we not pick another location, I disagreed and said no just refund the money, teletext refused me a refund for a service they guaranteed (witch they didn’t) after about 2 hrs and 30 mins of very poorly conversations with staff, supervisors and managers I was pressured into booking another holiday in fuerteventura, after more discussing I agreed then they had asked for an Additional £350.00 on top of the £120.00 they already had, I then had said I do not want to go ahead with this holiday, I was then told I would have to pay a balance of £1578.00 by 28/08/19 I only booked it on the 16/08/19. I was then again refused a refund this contained for 2 days, eventually 2-3 days later 2 staff members one staff and one manager contacted me back and had apologised for everything and offered me a full refund, I was happy enough with that. (Online both holidays were cheeper) This was after I had told them that I had contacted my Solicitor and the Financial ombudsman and cancelled any payments from themselves through my bank. Fast forward to 22/08/19 after hours of searching for holidays hoping for better holidays, luckily I came across a great holiday for £415.00pp for two people it equals to £830.00, I was more than happy with that I give them a call and then they told me it was over £1300.00 for total, I continued to say that cannot be right if it is on your website for £830.00 total. After another hour of searching with the guy on the phone it was £1200.00 that’s a £370 difference in price from your website (daylight robbery) £1200.00 for a completely different hotel in a completely different area, to say the least I am not happy at all with the service I was provided with, I’m still disappointed. How you can get away with it is unbelievable. What has teletext now got to say???

I will never ever book through teletext holidays ever again. Everyone please avoid at all cost. I have called teletext to add additional baggage and they are charging an admin fee of £80 before even adding baggage fee. When arranging a transfer from the airport to hotel we were given 3 different fees. The prices kept going up and when we asked why we were told due to live prices but this was within 30 minutes. We spoke to someone called Chad and to be honest he was obnoxious and rude! Avoid Avoid Avoid!

Horrendous experience. False advertising. Avoid at all costs. Will never use again. The one star is because the review system will not allow zero stars.

Avoid We just got back from Turkey. Prior to going we seen some reviews about teletext cancelling hotels and dumping you in alternatives. So I emailed my hotel and confirmed my booking and they replied that its all booked enjoy your holiday. Guess what. We arrived and the booking was cancelled by teletext and we was dumped in a cheap and nasty hotel. Advised a rep would contact us the next day. We waited all day and nobody arrived. When you complain they just say can we have your booking ref and our customer support will contact you. Teletext is actually a company called Truly Travel and use offshore agents to book your holiday. Its false advertising and poor service. Please Please avoid.

STAY WELL Away!!!!!! The one star would best describe the flight home!! SHOCKING!!! Booked a cracking family holiday through Teletex by a agent in India, who confirmed the details and took a deposit, assuring us that everything was correct and an email would follow. When the email finally arrived, thats when the complete nightmare began. The agent had only proposed 52 adults on the booking, leaving out the kids! Two days later and after each attempt to contact the agent, (10 mins after badly reviewing them on TripAdvisor) We got a call from a manager who was very apologetic and assured us they could sort the problem, which would mean us having to pay another £1800 to resolve this error. Or we we would loose our 800 deposit, Teletex had used to pay for the flights. Either pay the extra or take another holiday with less board basis. This took a further 3 days and when we where finally ground down, we accepted what we where assured again was a good family accom. By which point we where glad we hadn't lost our deposit and felt we had to beg to get through to anyone from Teletex. As each time you rang, nobody would discuss you account and you'd be quickly passed back to the original agent. Who's command of the English language was evidently dubious, beyond comprehension. Our total loss of confidence with this agent left us feeling rail roaded into having very little choice. We arrived at Alicante, 1am, no tranfers! Although paid for them! Got to hotel full of drunken teenagers, turns out it was a Stag and Hen destination. Which meant 2/3 days party central all night. Then new party would arrive and it would begin again. We booked for 10 nights, oh joy! Plus! The apartments where clean, well when we got there. Sound great so far! The view from the balcony overlooked the one of the hotels that we nominated top 5 when we looked. Which echoed everything expected from our own holiday, joy, laughter. Sadly our holiday contained none of the above. I think Teletex or whoever they are would like you think these sorts of things just happen to miserable whinging bastards. That's exactly how we felt for 10 days, with the exception of times outside the apartments. The agents at Teletex conduct dubious techniques, to snare and con customers from there hard earned. Would not touch them with a barge pole! STAY WELL CLEAR!!!!!!!
