“It took them almost 2 years to clean out our fireplace. They didn’t show for numerous booked appointment (at least 5 times) without a phone call. The time they did come out we advised them to bring an extra large ladder. Each time they came out they never brought an extra large ladder, so we had to reschedule. I would NEVER use chimney Pros again. Horrible customer service!”
“This company did not know any thing about gas stoves although they claimed that they did. They did not clean or check the gas fittings. They did not even know how to turn the stove on. They did NOTHING!! But they charged me a large amount. Do not hire them. Even the name of the company was not as listed on line. I thought I was dealing with a local company and was told that they were a service of the local company.”

“We hired Chimney Pros to fix a natural gas fireplace that wouldn’t ignite. They initially offered a non-thermostat controlled remote. When I said we want to replace with similar capability to my prior remote they told me it would be an additional $350 making my bill for a new remote and the $49 service call $700. They didn’t leave me the box or warranty paperwork. When it didn’t work correctly, they refused to replace it or give me my money back. When I researched the remote, it is a cheap $35 product. I was charged $651 for a $35 part.”
“does NOT deserve one star in the least. looked at inside and saw it was dirty. ok, why was he here?? - i agree to clean chimney. went to do 'inspection' of roof but had to use my ladder - then put up to gutter line pointing wrong direction - would have tipped ladder had i not turned 90 degrees. wanted to charge $665 for 'deep clean' vs 145 quoted. then it went down to $350, and i said no. paid him $69 for show-up and all but kicked him out. SCAM SCAM SCAM.
ps...contacting Contractors State License Board (cslb.ca.gov) tomorrow, and have CSLB chase them around and put their SCAM down, and file charges.”
“I was quoted on the phone a price for inspection but if I had a "cleaning" then the inspection would be free. The technician arrived in an unmarked vehicle with no company logo on his attire. He immediately told me I needed a "deep" clean for $299 and that the inspection would not be waived. He then said I needed additional pointing around my firebricks. I said that I would not pay for the inspection as promised nor did I want the deep clean. He said ok and began unpacking his tools. I had to run to another part of the house and about 5 minutes later I came back to check on him. He was gone! No good bye, nothing, just left. When I tried to find out what was going on, they refused to answer my calls. Horrible service, zero professionalism, and absolute scam with the "bait and switch" technique. Stay away from this company!!!!”

They promise high returns on investment but end up taking your money and they act like they never knew you . “Absolute scam. Advertised a sweep for $99. When I called they said it's actually $149. OK - I'll pay the additional $50 because $99 is really inexpensive. I asked if I should remove the rain cap and he said it's not necessary because they sweep from the bottom up. That was weird because my chimney is easily accessible (even without a ladder), but not totally uncommon.
When they showed up in a regular pickup truck (no signage, no ladders, just a kid in a truck) they almost immediately said I needed a deep clean for $500. He pushed and pushed and pushed. I should have kicked him out of the house, but he proceeded with the "sweep" using 3 extension rods (only 12 feet total) and a brush that literally had 5 bristles. HE WAS DONE IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES! Shame on my for not putting my boot in has a$$ and throwing him out.”

“This is a full on SCAM. Do not contact this company under any circumstances. They sent a technician who did not know how to clean a chimney. High-pressure sales to do un-necessary work. REPEAT: THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. Technician had improper tools no safety equipment and NO knowledge. Had to ask them to leave my home.”
“This company is a scam. Showed up for an "inspection" (I scheduled cleaning) 2.5 hours late. When he did, the $125 cleaning was changed to a $600 due to deep levels of creosote. Said it would take 1.5-2 hours to clean, which was time for normal clean. Then continued to try to sell me on $1900 of additional work. Yes, some of the work I'm sure will be necessary in future, but 4x my initial cleaning after showing up and then charging for an inspection is absolutely ridiculous and scammy.”
“I hired Chimney Pros last year to install two chimney caps. One cap didn’t fit, and so the technician assured me he’d install a mesh cover on the second opening. I received text confirmation the job was completed, paid in full, and trusted their word.
Fast forward to last month: while installing Christmas lights, I discovered the second chimney cap was never installed. I called the company, and they scheduled a technician to fix the issue. On the day of the appointment, I called to confirm, only to be told I wasn’t in the scheduler. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was promised a callback—only to later learn the supervisor was "out for the day."
This company has repeatedly lied to me, failed to complete the job I paid for over a year ago, and provided abysmal customer service. Save yourself the stress and frustration. Find a company that values honesty and follows through on their commitments.”

I was told a price of $150 for a full Chimney Sweep, when they showed up, they told me I need a deep clean for $1000 which included chemicals. I denied it and decided to stay with the $150 that was told prior and the technician seemed upset that I said no. He then used a brush that didn’t even reach halfway up the chimney for 2 seconds and said he was finished. If I could rate this 0 star I would”

“Showed up and acted like they were there for inspection. I told them they were there to clean the chimney. They had a pickup truck with no ladder. They said they would clean my chimney from inside my house. Then when I said no one has ever done it that way they said they needed to do a deep clean because it must have been a long time since the last clean. The chimney had been cleaned every year. They advertised 99$ chimney clean but tried to charge 600$ for a deep clean with no ladder to get on my roof. I didn’t even see a vacuum. Total scam. DO NOT CALL!”
