They are having false adds, promoting deals when the cigars are on back order. I placed 2 orders of Acid cigars for gifts and waited. After not receiving any I contacted support and the answer was oh they are back order still, even the new magazines and on line site states that they can be order. TIME to Switch to a better distributor.

I have been trying to get a refund from a missing order for months. After numerous phone calls and emails with customer service they continue to promise the “check is in the mail”. Don’t buy from these people, total crooks!

Order cigars on Dec 1st, they sent me through an age verification...twice. Now they are saying that the cigars are in route (ups tracking shows a Nov 27 delivery, hadn't order then). Customer service just told me that if they are not here in 9 days they will do another order at no cost. So apparently it takes close to a month to receive and order from here. I am disappointed as I convinced my friend to order from this place...sad. In addition, the rep would not put a supervisor on the phone.

After trying to order cigars for 2 days their website does not work properly I'm not wasting any more time. Tried to use PayPal 3 times, did not work. Thank God I wasn't charged on PayPal

I have been ordering cigars from Thompson fo years. I received an email from the age verification department. They wanted a copy of a government issued ID, or copy of my drivers license. I called because who in their right mind would do that?? I was calling the Philippines. I won’t order from some lousy company outsources their business to another company. Buy American. How dare they ask for my private information. Shame on Thompson Cigar.

I recently ordered 4, five packs during their 5 pack frenzy deal. The Olivia's, and Alec Bradley's were nice. The Gurka's, and the Cristoff's were hard as rocks, I could pound nails with these things. Expedited shipping took two weeks and they were not sent with any humidity packs to help keep them stay alive. Most other online sellers send packets! I am now trying to bring them back from the dead in my humidor. I know I didn't pay a lot for them, so that's fortunate. But, what's unfortunate is after a couple of days of placing this order I placed another order as a gift for a friend that costed quite bit more. If I had have waited to see how bad the first shipment came to me, I probably would not have placed the second order. Now I'm stressed out, waiting for an order that should hopefully be hear soon. I really hope I don't turn out to be the idiot I feel like! Thanks, THOMPSONS,

Wish I had read all of these Reviews before placing a $200 order and paying extra for expedited shipping. When I called them on the day that I was supposed to be receiving my order after paying the expedited shipping the customer service agent checked on the order and said that it had not even been gathered or shipped yet. This is very consistent with all the other reviews that I read here that says their fulfillment and ordering process is terrible. I agree and, despite the good online selection and prices, I will not order from this company again.

Placed my first order for 2 Jetline lighters, order was delayed more than a week. I called, they said my new account was under review. What kind of review is needed to purchase lighters? Cancelled order! Placed order with Jetline directly, order had tracking info within 8 minutes. Expected arrival in 3 days. Customer service at Thompson Cigar is very poor, staff needs training. I won't purchase there again, advise others not to as well.

This is terrible company to deal with! They screwed up 3 of my orders and have owed me a refund for 3 months. “The check is in the mail” yea right!

Nice selection and reasonable prices; but the ordering process is complete garbage! Every time I place an order through their website, and I mean EVERY time; there is an issue of some sort, which delays shipping or it doesn't ship at all! Fool me once shame on you, fool me 6 times; well, ya think I would have learned by now... I'm done with them...

I believe The Scandinavian tobacco group ( Parent company to Thompson’s cigar) is phasing out Thompson cigars. I wish I knew this before placing my order. Thompson cigar basically did a bait and switch with my order. When I called about my order they said it would be up to three months before filling my order. Then they talked about canceling that order and ask if I would be interested in other cigars. This is just bad business...... and unfortunately for them they lost a customer that has the potential of thousands of dollars a year in orders.

They post some really good deals on Cigars but their communication regarding items "out of stock" is horrendous. If you see "out of stock" as you're placing and order cancel the order and call to get a time frame. I just found out an order I placed is back ordered 3 MONTHS! Are you kidding? they must have to wait for the tobacco to grow and be harvested. Very poor job of satisfying customers! anything longer than a few weeks shouldn't be available for sale if you want to keep customers.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Made a purchase in December. Started getting charged monthly without ever signing up for a monthly plan nor receiving any product for it. My fault that I didn't realize it for months - when I did call to cancel, they told me I signed up for a monthly subscription but they would cancel & refund. A month goes by without a refund, call again and am told they don't refund - I had signed up. Should have read the reviews first. Terrible customer service - would never recommend.

I ordered 2 boxes they shipped em and sent me wrong ones returned them and they sent me the exact wrong cigars back...I’m shopping with a different company now,

Well I have bought cigars from Thompson so I decided to join one of their Monthly memberships, signed up at the end of July, never got a thing from them I finally contacted them in October they said that a sample was going out at the end of October, so I had them cancel any membership I take my business elsewhere. They apparently don't need my money....

Worst customer service in the world. Constantly say they will call you back and never do problems go in so long the the cigars you want are no longer available. Really bad stay away

AS of Dec 19, 2029 I was a platinum member and such status did not require me to pay for shipping. Yet every time I try to place an order below the "$125 free shipping," I get the shipping charge as an itemized entry. Another I experienced was the deduction of points when combined with a coupon in a single order. The points are deducted first, and then a partial dollar amount of the coupon total is applied towards the order. In other words, a ceiling of a total dollar amount is only allowed per each order as opposed to apply full coupon and selected points. The third issue I experienced was the fact I had to return a bad Perdomo cigar lighter, which I was offered a $10 certificate for the trouble, and still waiting for such certificate. I received a replacement lighter in exchange and it was also damaged. At that point I decided to keep second damaged lighter since I was already belly-up after paying for the return shipping of a bad item. Thompson Cigar still has an outstanding and great inventory, but my bottom line is the following: I am not interested in being taken for a fool. I told them to keep my platinum status, to keep my current balance of 400 plus points and to close my account. I am done ordering from Thompson Cigars. I do not want certificates, I do not want coupons/promotion codes, I do not want phone calls apologizing and I sure do not want a scripted email saying Thompson Cigar value their customers. and they are sorry about my experience.

Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Thompson Cigar and through this found out that Thompson Cigar and Cigars International are the same business. Buyer Beware. The last order of mine from Thomson Cigar arrived incomplete and customer service non responsive to my communications about the incident until I stopped payment on my card. It was after that when I received several emails from Thomson Cigar Customer Service personnel Edison and Cecilia requesting me to lift the hold on payment and then they would send me a replacement shipment. The payment hold was lifted over a month ago, but at the time of this review Thompson Cigar has not shipped the replacement and Customer Service once again non responsive. This non responsive Customer Service includes Edison and Cecilia who previously assured me that a replacement would be shipped upon lifting the payment hold. Again, buyer beware.

Really bad telephone operation. Customer service and Ordering phones never answered even after ringing for 20 minutes or more. And not responding to emails, either. Also, advertised items in the frequenrly received catalogs are frequently not available or backordered for a long time ... akin to bait and switch tactics. Terrible business practices.

Ordered from Thompson cigar, cigars never came went to an old address even after updating new address. Call customer service what a joke, got a line of BS. Never got my order, will never order from Thompson cigar again. Advise you all to do the same. I’m done !
