It is nice to be able to browse lots of different types of tours and to see what is supposed to be their availability (but apparently is, in reality, only an imagined availability) at the same time. It does help with the comparisons, and it is also nice that TourRadar appears to process the funds in USD.

Would like option to pay for whole tour at once, and more clarity over use of debit cards, and option to add pre night with booking, and heads up of confirmation waiting time, but rates were good

Regarding Visa advice, we recommend our travellers contact their local embassies for the most up to date information about Visas required in these countries. As a tour booking website, TourRadar cannot be an effective and accurate visa authority as this information is regularly being updated and varies for the nationality of one traveller to the next. It is for this reason that we recommend checking your local embassy or consulate's website for the latest up to date information. We'll happily provide you with the trip notes for this tour which may contain some guidance regarding Visa requirements for some nationalities, but in most cases, Visas will remain the responsibility of the individual traveller. I was not happy with the booking process this time. It was quite a contrast to my last year experience. I thought loyalty would be rewarded. It was quite the opposite. What is the issue if a loyal customer wants to speak to people they have interacted in the past?????

I really enjoyed browsing through an impressively vast selection of tours on Tourradar (which was delightful) & ended up booking an acceptable tour In Turkey. However, what I DID NOT ENJOY was the sneaky way of how the true cost of the tour came to my attention. The tour was advertised as being on promotion (which was around 50%). Naturally, it attracted my attention and having found the tour to have the itinerary that I fancy and the price to be quite alluring, I booked it. However, it turned out that the price advertised on promotion was EXCLUDING the amount that was due to be paid in cash on the first day of the tour (so, basically, there was no promotion at all, the tour ended up costing more than the INITIAL price advertised). The explanation provided was that it was a special scheme by the agency to help travellers pay the total amount not all at once, but in two instalments &, thus, helped to alleviate the burden of having to pay it all at once (which a noble cause, really), but the way it was presented still doesn't sit well with me at all. Naturally, a fair morale of this story could be: READ THE SMALL PRINT, but I would have expected more from Tourradat than sneaky ways of luring customers into booking tours that cost more than advertised. If I may, I wish there was more transparency in the process and if the intention is truly noble: why could it not have been presented in a cost breakdown overview rather than trying to pose as an extremely attractive price reduction?

This information can be found on our 'Book Now Page' and would illustrate any operator specific discounts and local payments required for the tour. You are correct, your chosen tour is currently on sale by the tour operator, however, the local payment would be on top of the tour price. Even without the tour being on sale, this would not affect the local payment. These local payments are set by the tour operator and go towards other services such as meals, entry fees, tips, personal expenses for example. We have looked into your booking and can see that the Tour Operator has been in contact with you to address your concerns and we are happy to see that your concerns have been resolved. We are very excited to be part of the TourRadar "Wonders of the Maritimes and Scenic Cape Breton on September 20 - 28. It has been a lifelong wish of ours to tour the Maritimes and we are happy to achieve this item on our "bucket list". The number of days of the tour is good for us as we have some health issues and the timing in late fall is also what we had anticipated as the best time to go. We were happy to find a tour that included New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI. We anticipate the tour itself will be great and are so looking forward to being part of it. We do have concerns with the booking however. We decided on this tour and submitted our information to confirm it and it took at least three days to confirm. We began to think that we had made errors in filling out the form and/or something was wrong with our credit or information that was holding up this process. Just before confirmation we were informed that the price had changed quite drastically because of a discount being displayed incorrectly and a failure to add Canadian HST. This was a shock and we seriously considered withdrawing because of the additional price, but decided to go ahead because of the time we had already invested in finding this tour and because it was one that suited our needs. We also were disappointed when we were researching that the accommodations were not included as part of the information and that we only found out which accommodations were part of the tour after it was booked. We noticed that other tours provided some information as part of their website. We look forward to this tour and learning about the Maritimes.

The website was well laid out and fairly simple to request a tour. The process, and delay in process, to actually getting confirmation of my booking was more than 3 days and was very frustrating! I was told that this is 'industry standard', but it felt anything but. I would suggest that this kind of delay be looked at as it is not at all in favour of your customers.

We understand it's an anxious time waiting for your tour to be confirmed, as you naturally want to book your flights and get stuck into preparing for your trip. Looking at your booking, we can see that the departure you booked was 'On Request'. The tour operator (not TourRadar) dictates the status of a tour as On Request when the group you want to join has not reached maximum capacity (there is a place for you), but they cannot guarantee one or some of the elements of the tour, eg: one or more accommodations or activities on the tour itinerary has limited availability. The operator then has to wait for confirmation from the local service provider that they can accommodate you on the trip. Having said this, a large percentage of the tours available on our site offer an Instant Book experience, where you, the customer, receive confirmation of your trip the moment you submit your payment details. We do not underestimate how important a speedy confirmation is to our customers. Our effort to continue increasing the number of instant book tours on our site is an ongoing mission of utmost importance to our teams, however, the On Request status of a tour is something we, unfortunately, cannot have control over. We're glad your tour booking request was confirmed and you're off on a trip of a lifetime. It was quite difficult to book a tour, the system does not accept payment from non-euopean or american credit/debit cards. Despite there being an online chat bot, the average reponse time is around 5 hours and for this particular issue personnel were not particularly helpful. I recommend TourRadar to make a note of this situation. *Posible solution is to pay through PayPal. Despite this small problem I do believe they make a great selection of tours.

Hello Leonel, Thank you for your feedback. We regret to hear you've had troubles processing your payment, but can see you have successfully booked your tours now which is great! There is no problem however, using a credit debit card on our platform from anywhere in the world. We accept all major credit cards, worldwide and also PayPal payments as you have noted. What you may have experienced, is your credit card provider flagging your purchase as TourRadar is an Austrian company. We use a European-based credit card provider to process bookings which could explain why you might have been having trouble with payment. This is easily resolved though, which we advised you on our online chat. Simply contact your credit card provider and ask them to whitelist payments to TourRadar GmbH in Vienna, Austria and then try making your booking again. These are measures imposed not by TourRadar, but by your payment provider, for your security. We'd also like to reassure you that despite receiving bookings from travellers all over the globe, TourRadar does not charge any fees. We're glad that you enjoyed using the site to search our vast selection of tours around the globe and assure you, you've booked two fantastic trips! well--I liked the site and how easy it is to book but I thought the payment would be a deposit and the I would be billed the full amount at a later date--at least that is what it said on the main page. However, when I went to book it the only option was to pay in full. I tried to ask questions but they were not answered by TourRadar. One Seed---the tour company tried to help but they couldn't. Still a bit upset that I was charged in full after being led to believe it would be a deposit initially.

We have investigated the issue you've highlighted and can see that the specific tour you've booked does not offer a deposit payment at present, which is also shown at the time of payment on the checkout page. Full payment is usually only due for bookings within two months of travel and although your travel is further away than two months, the lack of deposit option may be due to the promotion you have on this particular booking. I have contacted the team on couple occasions over the chat, and the staff were very efficient and polite in resolving my queries. I was told though that a representative would speak to me and would give me some tips in relation to advising I needed about the flights, however, I have not contacted a sales person at all not sure what your assistant meant. Lastly, the amount of emails is excessive and I would rather have communications in relation my trip only.

Not happy because i booked 4 days Galapagos tour 3*** Hotel by Gray Line Ecuador but I still have no confirmation. Reservation is still pending. All I got is the messages "reviewing your booking and will get back you shortly" and "Gray Line Ecuador has received your request and will get back to you as soon as their local office opens." It has been almost a week. I am waiting for tour confirmation to reserve airline ticket. Why the delay???
