“Used to be great — now seriously disappointing
I first used Woodsheets.com back in 2018 and was genuinely impressed with the service. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been very disappointing.
Across my last three or four orders, they have repeatedly failed to deliver anywhere near the promised timescales — even though I paid extra for express delivery. While they do state that delivery dates aren’t guaranteed, I would still expect it to be reasonably close. In reality, it often wasn’t — and in one case, the order arrived several weeks late.
I contacted them on numerous occasions to chase these orders. Each time, I was given reassurances and promises, but these were never followed through. It felt like they were simply trying to placate me rather than resolve the issue properly. On my most recent order, they didn’t even bother to respond to my final chasing email.
There are many other companies providing a similar service, and after this experience, I’ll be going elsewhere. Sadly, this will be the last time I use Woodsheets.com — and based on my experience, I would advise others to do the same.”
“Utterly useless! Paid extra for 1-3 day delivery, that was 5 days ago. No dispatch email, no idea where it is or what's happening. Emailed them twice, called, but no-one answered. Left a voicemail asking for a call back. Been waiting for over 24 hours! AVOID THIS BUNCH OF COWBOYS!”
“Essentially they are thieves. Over a month after ordering it, the MDF piece I ordered hasn't arrived. I've emailed them several times, for the first couple of times they responded that they would 'chase up the order' but they've now stopped replying completely. They have taken my payment but not provided the item ordered and aren't responding so that I can request a refund.”
“This is the second time these people have messed my order up. The first time, they did send a replacement out and so I put it down to an honest mistake, so I decided to give them another chance and have ordered from them again. This second time though, they again sent pieces out that were the wrong thickness and cut incorrectly. I contacted them and was told I would receive a replacement within 3 to 7 days. 7 days seems poor tbh, to correct their mistake, but hey! After 8 days though nothing arrived so I emailed them again, asking for an urgent dispatch or a full refund. That was a few days ago now and I have heard nothing back from them. On top of that, the tracking information on their website isn’t working. Getting through to them by phone is hard work, and as I said, they are ignoring emails. Avoid!”
“This is the worst company ever
This is the worst company ever - do not buy from here. They took money from my account, and sent me confirmation and follow up emails and then never delivered the product. and didn't say sorry. WORST COMPANY EVER DO NOT USE.”
“Rubbish, ordered two sheets. One turned up damaged. I complained and they sent a replacement two weeks after my complaint. Nearly one month in total from first order. No apologies, won't be using them again”
“Don't use this company, they lie, promise delivery then don't deliver, they don't answer emails, they don't answer the phone, and if you ever get to speak to someone, they promise to come back to you and they don't!!
I've used them a couple of times, but will never again, as both times they've taken weeks to deliver, for next day delivery orders....
Most recent order was placed on the 26th September, as of today (18th October) still not delivered, despite delivery being promised several times, promised it was being sent out, that it had been sent out, always lies and excuses...”
“BIGGEST SCAM EVER!!
They took my money £600 for some shelves, and 1 year now and still nothing.
They reply to your emails for around 4 weeks after ordering and give excuse after excuse. Then all communication stops

“They offer expensive express shipping estimating 2 to 3 day delivery. This is a complete misrepresentation. It takes weeks to get your product. Then the quite small print terms of 30 day delivery. Absolutely rude and arrogant. I strongly suggest you fine an alternative company.”
“Terrible company with shockingly bad aftersales service. I had a shortfall on the delivery of parts ordered. Complained via email, no response. Phoned twice and told the shortfall would be despatched quickly, still waiting. Have now given up. Avoid this company at all costs.”

I ordered a product, when I was wondering where it was they told me it was still in the production line.
I requested a cancellation of the order and a refund TWICE and they purposely ignored my request.
Do not use them they are useless, money grabbers with zero customer service skills.”

Yet they messed it up, I specified the edges to be taped, they didnt, I contacted them and they acknowledged their mistake and said they would send a replacement, after waiting 10 days no replacement I was forced to contact them again to chase it up, eventually arrived and was fine, but sad it took so long”
“A truly terrible experience and timber supplier.
1. I ordered 2 cut sheets of 25mm birch plywood on June 14th. I didn't receive the last one (they were sent separately) until June 28th. Two weeks from order to delivery!
2. On June 20th I noticed that, on the website, 25mm birch plywood was "Out of stock" so I emailed asking them to cancel my order and refund me as I needed the timber urgently.
3. I received a response that the ply "may not have been scanned out to the relevant department" and they refused to cancel the order.
4. Despite repeat requests to cancel the order, they refused and the order progressed. However I required the plywood for an urgent job and had no choice but to order the same ply from a local timber yard, which was more expensive but came the next day in perfect condition.
5. The ply from woodsheets.com was dispatched in TWO separate "parcels" with minimal edge protection. One arrived on June 21st and one on June 28th. Now how is any professional supposed to organise a workflow for a client when material supply is this unpredictable and erratic?
6. In response, they stated that "As your order is Bespoke, we have 30 days to get your order to you correctly." So be warned that if you order bespoke (which must be most of their business) you might not get your material for 30 days and there's nothing you can do about it.
7. To make matters worse, not only were some corners of the plywood damaged in transit, but BOTH sheets have a bad bow along the long length - easily seen and impossible to correct. So the sheets, totalling £350, are useless. Photos can be provided to prove all of this. It's worth noting that the 25mm ply sheets from my local timber yard arrived flat and in perfect condition.
In summary, avoid this company. The prices look good but honestly, just source your material from your local timber yard - they'll be quicker, get it to you in better condition and not supply you with sub-standard sheet timber.”
“We ordered 1 MDF board which we received yesterday, but unfortunately, the product was damaged. I notified Woodsheets promptly and enclosed photographs. It is unclear whether the damage occurred at their facility or during transit, as there were visible cuts in the packaging and footprint marks, indicating mishandling.
We asked for a replacement or refund and were told they couldn't honour my cancellation request because it was still within 'our' 30-day contract and because the order was bespoke, they have 30 days to get my order to me correctly which goes against what their own website says: "you have a legal right to cancel a Contract in law during the 14 period after receive delivery. This means that during the relevant period if you change your mind or for any other reason you decide: you do not want to keep a Product, provided you have not used the product, you can notify us of your decision to cancel the Contract and receive a refund. "
Then there is the Consumer Rights Act that says I can cancel my contract if goods received are damaged/faulty.
I am in the process of trying to get a refund - fingers crossed I do, so I can take my business elsewhere
