The product arrived damaged (the corner of one of the base was caved in so had obviously been dropped from a large height), I called Argos right away and explained, they advised to send images of the damage, they then offered a small amount back on store credit which I refused and now they are not answering any of my emails, been nearly 2 weeks since I advised the damage. After I spoke to them on Live Chat, they advised that I would need to dismantle the product myself and take it back to store to get a refund, which would take a couple of hours for me to do, they refused to collect the item. There's no way they can resell it in it's state so they are purposely trying to create a barrier to try and shut me up. I find it appalling customer service

Recently ordered a large tu clothing bundle collection was supposed to be 29th june till 6th of July when I didnt receive a text or email for collection I began phoning sainsbury's and argos to enquire where delivery was they reassured me they would let me know when all items arrived only to wake up to an email saying items had been returned to depot due to not being collected now I have to wait upto 7 days for the cash to be back in account and start order all over again which sadly will probably not arrive in time for holidays so resulting in having to spend more cash # unhappily customer

Bought a Henry hoover from argos on Argos card, after twelve months it went wrong, took item back to argos and told you have to get in touch with henry, but I do not want another henry hoover. Argos is the retailer I did not buy the hoover from henry Argos should sell Items of a merchantable quality and fit for use. Not something that after 12 months breaks down and there is nothing you can do. they like you to spend your money with them but do not like you taking items back the staff where arrogant unhelpful refused to let me speak to manager. AVOID ARGOS IF YOU DO NOT WANT ITEMS THAT FAIL AFTER TWELVE MONTHS AND ALL ARGOS STAFF CAN SAY IN SO MANY WORDS IS NOTHING WE CAN DO.

Not impressed at all and in regards to stock availability, not high marks either and the fact that an item which is readily available elsewhere is simply just not able to be sent to another store??????? Zero on that score for customer service as this should be realistically included to increase sales and quality of service.

Purchased a PS4 and some games on the 3rd July. Never arrived. Someone has signed for it with a false first name. Argos refused to provide me with the proof of signature. The delivery time frame that they state is less than an hour. I was at home. CCTV footage shows no delivery man entering the building. Spent my whole day with Argos’ customer care. Spoke to 3 different advisors (including Argos card team) and chatted with another. They just simply don’t care, still want me to pay for the stolen item. Argos customer care line is obviously not free to call. Costed me extra £26. Had to go to police and now waiting for them.

It has been 14 working days and I still have not received my online order. I placed an order with the understanding (because it said on on the order form) that delivery would be 3-5 working days. I ordered on a Monday. I got an email acknowledgment of my order with a note saying that argos would contact me before Thursday. I did not get a call back to arrange the delivery so I called on the Friday and the agent answered asking me if I wanted to schedule the delivery. So they were not going to contact me and at this stage I was already at the 5 working day SLA. As I had no choice, I arranged it for the next Wednesday between 7am and 12pm. Reluctantly I took a half day unpaid off work to be there to collect my order. Wednesday came and I called at 9am just to check if they had a time. They said 11:30. So, I said ok and I waiting again. At 11:45 I called again, they said this time that the drivers were delayed but that they would still call me before they arrived. I waited a little longer but I had to go to work so I left. At 4:30pm I called them again, this time I was told that a driver had arrived at my estate at 8am but that they could not contact me, they had an incorrect number. Both agents that I spoke to had not seen this! The man that I spoke to on this occasion updated the number and assured me that he would talk to his team lead about it. The next day, I called again. The agent this time advised me that the drivers had tried contacting me again but had the wrong number, THE NUMBER HAD NOT BEEN UPDATED. So, I spoke to a manager. I explained everything. He said that he would listen to the calls and get back to. Guess what...no call back. I have called nearly every day since and each time I get the same story, "its with Irish couriers now, we don't have contact for them, you have to wait for them to call you". So my advice to anyone thinking of getting a delivery with argos is just don't do it!! Their service desk is terrible. The management is just as bad. If my delivery ran smoothly from day one, I wouldn't have had to call them and I guess I wouldn't be in this situation, but unfortunately I am and it would be easier and 100 times less stressful to talk to a brick wall than their service desk.

Bought a head set for an Xbox and after less than 40 days the headset cracked. Upon returning to store I was told that it was accidental damage (this took approx 1 minute to decide) and refused an exchange or refund. Seems strange that something that has to be pulled apart in order to put on and take off your head to use is not capable of lasting more than 40 days - seems to me that the product is 'NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE' - perhaps the product should have a fragile sticker attached. Not sure why you have a customer services department as all you do is agree with the decision made in store - something else that seems 'NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE' I can see from the service you deliver why you no longer have to queue when making a purchase

The call before my gas cooker was getting installed. Why aren't you told these things, like wallpaper having to be removed before the gas cooker is bought? Reficulous. Alison McKenzie

I purchased to items as part of set. One could only be collected the other only delivered. Said they would be in touch to book delivery. No call just a text one day saying will be delivered today. I'm sorry I was at work! So tried to go online to re book delivery but no drop downs for times only days. So I picked Fri thinking on next page I could pick a tough time slot but it just said will deliver on Friday. What time!? I will be at work until 3. Just seems a very complicated unfriendly process

Similar to other posts. Ordered and paid for next day delivery. Waited in all day although said between 10am and 1pm. No sign of my item, no contact from Argos. Tried to contact 'speedy live chat' - I've been in a queue and the countdown says 21 minutes. Has said that for the last 30 minutes!! Argos you need to sort out your delivery and customer service or your previous good name is in jeopardy. I wouldn't buy on line again from you.

I ordered a bath panel to be delivered between 10 am and 1 pm. By 1.30 they had not arrived nor contacted me. After holding on for Customer Service to answer for 20 minutes, I was told there was a problem although the woman did not know exactly what. She apologized, refunded the delivery charge and rescheduled for the next day. Exactly the same happened. I did speak to a customer service manager this time. She was personally apologetic and said she would re/order. I refused a third delivery as she could not guarantee it would not happen again.

The staff are rude, the customer service is poor, do not go to the whitechapel store at your peril. The staff including management are rude and belligerent. Also, the items are not as described and break down often

New washer 12 weeks old. Making noises that it shouldn’t spinning, being told basically I’m putting too much and too little in??? Won’t do anything about it. Told me to get an independent written report to show them and they’ll decide again whether to replace/refund ... maybe. Made to feel like I’m an imbaseale

Worst customer service i have ever had in Blackpool Cork Argos .Gwen should not be working front of house her attitude was appalling. Purchased a bistro table and chairs and would not permit us to take a trolley to bring it to the car .Proceeded to raise her voice as to where we were parked and wanted to know exactly where in the worst tone ever .We eneded up lifting it out ourselves .I am not happy as to how i was treated .Would not like this woman to be representing me as a business .I work in front of house and a smile costs nothing these people keep our businesses going and pay our wages that is how i would see it .

The staff at my local store are professional and helpful and friendly. My problem is with head office , I had an email which looked like it was from Argos telling me I had a voucher for my birthday , wondered how they knew it was my birthday , so went to the store and a lovely man rang the office and they informed me that it was a scam and that was it , they didn't seem bothered and have not even looked into the scam , I am a pensioner and it has scared me so much that I will now not shop online. Be aware of ARGOS scams

After placing a reservation I took my elderly mother to your honiton branch to collect these items as it has very good access for her. I was absolutely disgusted with the attitude of your staff member on our arrival. As there were three items on the order and my mother wanted to pay part cash and part card we headed for the tills. Your staff member came straight to us asking how we were paying not even a good afternoon or hello. She took us to the till to where I believed she would take our money/card and we would be able to collect our items. Well I can only say she must have left her manners at home. After paying for the cash item she ordered us to the self serve tills, I was very confused at this as she was also talking to other customers. My elderly mother then had to make her way to the self serve checkout. Still confused at what was going on I was spoken to like I was stupid. I asked why we could not have completed our transaction at the till but had no response only a very aggressive reply demanding my order number again. At this point I told the assistant that her attitude was a disgrace and told her that I did not require the remaining items. Whilst queuing for the one item we had paid for I was completely ignored, your assistant even passed me completely blanking me. This experience upset my elderly mother and I think it is totally unacceptable. I await your response.
