Do not buy in store and open your product if you are looking for a refund! Purchased a smart watch last night, unboxed&set up but changed my mind. Took my brand new Purchase back today with all relevant packaging and accessories to be told could not be returned because it had been used?!had I known this information at the point of sale there'd have been no way I'd gone through with purchase. I rang head office and spoke to a very obliging and friendly girl explained what had just happened in the shop when I'd gone to return, she reassured me I had well within my rights to a refund, was on hold for a while and when she came back I thunk she was as dismayed as myself at the policy it was as though she was actually shocked also. She went on to tell me that if I'd make exactly the same purchase online I'd have had a full refund?make that make sense?! I took a smart watch back to curry's last year that I'd had a change of mind with and had absolutely no issues with them refunding me for? Very very dissapointing!I'll get on the phone tomorrow with consumer rights. Ridiculous!!!!

You stated a item was in the store,i paid for item in good faith it was for a birthday present that afternoon, i drove 10 miles to pick it up to be told was not arriving at store until 4pm or when ever it arrives, you take 7 days to refund on a card and 30 if paid by pay pall, what a absolute con you could have said before i paid you that it was not in the store, you must be desperate for money. I will never use you lying tricking store ever again.

DON'T TAKE ANYTHING ON THE CREDITS WITH THEM. FIRST, THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BANK AND START TO STRESS PEOPLE. THEY DO NOT SEND IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PAYMENT, THE BANK IS CALLED BY SOME EYE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A PRETENTION THAT THEY FAILED TO COMPLETE IMPORTANT THINGS, AND FINALLY WILL REQUEST REQUESTS SET AUTOMATICALLY BY THEM.

Been living in our front room due to building work the last 14 weeks but needed a cot set for our newborn. Couldn’t put it up for two months due to the building work, just found out that the mattress is too small (still in wrapper). Spent over £1000 with Argos in this order so thought they wouldn’t mind an exchange, but nope! The online agent promised a management call back which didn’t happen. Called today, kept on hold for 30 minutes while the team leader did anything they could to not take the call. Eventually ‘Paul’ took the phone (said no one would have called me back because it was outside the 30 days and stuttered when I asked why his advisor said that one would and I would hope that a management call back is the very very basic backbone of any half decent business) but couldn’t wrap his head around the issue. Have to be honest the call in question would be comical to listen too 🤣 Asked for escalation process and his full name, which he refused to give (not sure what he thought I was going to do with it). It wouldn’t actually surprise me if he lied about it. Never ever going to buy here again, awful company!! I remember when I was younger they even got banned from having work experience students because they just used them for slave labour. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere that at least give some better customer service like a slap round the face every time you buy something. Update in regards to their comment: If they valued their customer and had an ounce of compassion or business sense, they’d realise how stupid they are. What makes this van worse is that they do this all the time! Check out your local FB and you’ll see so many people they’ve mugged off!! BOYCOT ARGOS

Ordered an exercise bike to help recover from a broken ankle on the 29th July, delivery stated as between 3-5 days. First call from DHL driver said he didn’t have my Eircode so couldn’t deliver. Second call from DHL on Tuesday last 16th August said delivery would be between 7.30am and 6pm, waited in all day, phone in hand, no delivery,no phone call, nothing. Worst companies, both Argos and DHL I have ever had the misfortune to deal with!! Avoid at all cost!

If you are the last delivery and it’s a trek from previous one they just say you weren’t in and try again tomorrow. This is human nature but the fact that they can get away with it is down to poor management. And they think they can compete with Amazon!

i ordered 2 x laptops with screens from Argos website, the collection was from a local sainsburys in bethnal green and stated 2 x 2 items (i.e the laptop x 2 and the monitor x 2), however when i went to pick up the items only 1 x laptop and 1 x monitor (i.e 2 items ) were handed over as the order stated 2 items only. this was clearly an opportunity to exploit the system by the sainsburys local staff as they only handed over 2 items both attached to each other in the form 1 laptop and 1 ,monitor meaning i was misisng 1 x laptop and 1 monitor . i tried several times to complain in store and to speak with argos customer services but each time was given the run around and got nowehere. i'm now £400 down, having been ripped off by a huge corporation a completely shocking customer experience. I would recommend to never collect from Sainsburys local especially bethnal green, as i'm convinced the staff know the whereabouts of this laptop...

Ordered a printer on June 22. It was only after accepting the order and payment that Argos system was able to detect that they didn't have the item (not very smart). Five weeks later I'm still waiting for my refund. Trying to get help is a nightmare. Typical big company lack of customer service - two minutes to take customer funds, then go missing when a refund is required. Argos you are a disgrace and I advise other customers to find an alternative supplier as I will in future. Meanwhile - I'd like my money back!!!!

They delivered an item and then said it was going back to their store while I was crossing London to get it. Lost an entire morning. Hopefully I will be refunded... Pathetic service.

Bought a airconditioning unit and after four uses it started overheating. The box also did not come in all of its original packaging so I suspect it was a return. Argos did not want to exchange the item. Item literally bough 1 year and 1 month ago. £350 for 4 uses, terrible value.

I ordered a cooker from Argos. A week later it was the delivery date. I got a message from Argos that my cooker would be delivered in designated delivery date between 7am and 1am. As such, I waited all day for the delivery man without going to work. Because the cooker is my special need. I don't have a cooker in my house and I have to struggle to eat. I have to buy food from outside. After waiting all day, when the cooker was not delivered, I called Argos customer service. There I spoke with a female customer service advisor named Hayley. When I asked to know when the cooker will be delivered with the order number, she told me that the delivery has been cancelled, and it has to be rebooked after 4 days. That means I have to buy food from outside for another four or five days and outside food is always expensive. And it will take a few more days to install that cooker. That means 2 more weeks in total. I have taken leave from work and I have lost my earnings in there, my income has been missed. In response to Argos' blunder, they only gave a harsh apology, Argos supposed to let me know about the cancellation but they did not give a sh***t on me . In fact, as a big company, Argos does not care about the customer anymore. They have such rude customer service in several branches, including East Ham, that it hurts to write. Now at Argos they are not counting customers for this but one day the time will come when Argos will be spat out by ordinary customers. I look forward to that time.

Customer service is braindead. I order washing machine with delivery, installation and recycling of the old one. When they bring it to me (after 7 days!!!!) they have problem with tight parking in my place so I agree they will bring my washing machine next day in van. Person I talk to, ensure me that he will take care for it. He does, cancel my order all together and put new one, but my washing machine was sold to next customer and I need to wait now for new one and nobody care to tell me how long. I noticed that next day after I bough my product it go up in the store for more than 10% and I have every reason to think they ignore me now to force me to cancel order and buy more expensive product. Horrible people, horrible place. Of course they will tell they are sorry, but still you may forgot about any help. If you have any respect to yourself don’t buy from Argos.

Do not order from this company. Waited weeks for garden furniture, took the day off work and travelled to the delivery address (3 hour round trip) received a confirmation text message delivery will be between 9am - 1pm. No communication since, order has been cancelled with no reason given, I only have this information as I called them. I need to order again if wish to re-purchase, who says It would get delivered this time? Wasted a day off work, I will never shop with Argos or any of their brands again. I wouldn’t advise you to either unless you don’t mind not receiving your purchases.

Customer service is pathetic in Argos in Sutton. Had an issue with returns, it appears that Argos don’t have a proper complaint process. The store would advise to call in customer care number. When you call the customer care, they advise to speak with the store because it’s store’s discretion. The complaint can not be made to Argos by an email in 21st century? Perhaps they want to discourage consumers to make any complaint.
