“Purchased 24 bags of super shock in May. Left thick grey sludge on the bottom of the pool and took twice as many bags to increase the chlorine level. I actually poured a bag in a large bucket and the bottom of the bucket was thick with the sludge. Same as what was in the bottom of the pool. Very disappointed with this product and companies responds to my complaint. I called customer service and was told I would receive a call back within 48 hours, it’s been 8 business days and never heard from anyone.”
“They sell pool equipment under the Doheny brand but when you need a part they cannot supply. Looking for a 4 inch o ring for the lid if a Doheny above ground pool chlorinator but continue to reference a part that doesn’t fit”
“Absolutely useless company - SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND ORDER ELSEWHERE EVEN IF YOU NEED TO SPEND DOUBLE!!!! They claim they have no departments, they only sell the parts, they don't know how any of them work (so why do you sell them), which means calling if you ahve any issues is useless. Just ordered a filter and pump set & somewhere even though it was a set that was to come with all the set parts they managed to send the wrong size base for the filter and pump to sit on. Can't put anything together bc of this oo and it tool A WEEK just to get it even though if I had ordered 1hrs earlier they claim they could get it to you next day. Then with the correct base the idiot that picks up claims she sends the request to the warehouse - I doubt there is even a separate area and she just doesn't know her job bc for 2 days now no email with the order or delivery just like when I order it took more than a day to confirm. ORDER ELSEWHERE-THEY SUCK!!!!!”
“We took 10 days off to spend time at my daughters house 1800 miles away to help her set up her pool. We ordered by talking to a customer service rep on May 26th to order products. On May 31st we received the wrong products.
(By the way they promise one day delivery on their website) We called immediately and were told the correct order would be sent expedited. On June 2nd after not receiving the product we called and were told somehow that order was rejected and even though they had our phone number and email nobody contacted us to rectify it. We placed the order again on June 2nd and were told we would get it next day and they would email us an order confirmation and tracking number we never received. On calling back we were told because the person placing the order didn’t put our email address in we could not get confirmation or tracking on the order. Well now we have to travel back home and have never received the parts. This is the worst company we have ever worked with and will never order from them again. Since their call center moved to India their company has gone downhill.”

“I bought the ultimate winter cover last August 2022 used it one winter and it's falling apart. They refuse to do anything except send me the same piece of crapp cover so I can go through this same crapp again next year. Very rude customer service especially manager Hope. Do not buy from them.”
“I ordered a part end of summer last year and of course I’m not going to put the pool up for the winter so I put the part in my basement and waited for the next spring and the part don’t fit. “I placed an order on 4/25/22 for a Hayward super pump. I dont know how long it took to process the order and ship. I cant remember. Im sure it was at least more than a week. My pool was open 6 months. I just opened my pool yesterday, 5/4/23, for this season. This morning, my pump sounds like a lear jet. I contact Doheny's, they tell me I am out of warranty and wont even consider helping. That $1000 pump lasted 6 months! If you are one day out of warranty, there is no need to call. I'll never do business with them again. I run a dealership, and I'd never treat my customers this way.”
“Never again will I buy from Dohenys. Their products are super marked up and their "10-30% off sale" never ends (they mark it up so that they can provide "discounts" which still result in their products being more expensive than other places. Also there is a 40% restocking fee, which is unheard of.”

“Every time I've called Doheny's I talk to nice, polite customer service people, eager to help and knowledgeable. UNTIL I tried to order a pool cover. Then, in the custom pool cover department I talked to Joanna first, then Emily, both who were angry, accusatory, and not helpful at all. I called back several more times but it seems these are the only two who work with custom pool covers. I'm buying my cover (and the rest of my pool supplies forever) from another supplier. These two need to be retired or retrained!”
“Their customer service and standing behind their products is awful. When something happens with a product that you purchase from them they don’t want to know anything. My pool heater is about 13 months old and the warranty for the pool heater is 12 months however with calling within the 12 months they still wanted nothing to do with helping us. Will never buy from them again nor will we recommend them to anyone we know”
“I bought a pump for my inground swimming pool last August. It stopped working on July 7. The pump is still under warranty but I had to pay for them to send me a new one. They said when I send the old one back, they will reimburse me. Unfortunately, I have to pay to send it back and I will not be reimbursed for shipping. It is very expensive to ship a 35 pound pump back to a company. I feel they should pay for the shipping as well. I have contacted customer service numerous times to request shipping labels. They don’t even answer my emails. Shame on your company! I will not be purchasing anything else from Doheny’s! Nor will I be recommending them to my many many friends who have pools and spas.”

“Completely worthless and angering customer service. If you call, you get a foreign call center that can't / won't help. If you email, it takes multiple days to get responses and when you do get a response, it is robotic and scripted. They ignore you and worse offer no or unreasonable solutions. They left me hanging with a brand new defective Hayward valve. I wound up having to purchase o-rings myself just to get it to stop leaking. The way they treat customers is shameful.”
