2 month delay, 3.5hr wait time to Call, no explanation or apology for delay, no call backs as promised. So upsetting when we have spent a large amount of money on a sofa

Sofology is quite easily the worst sofa company I have ever had dealings with, at 60 years of age I have had several sofas but I will never buy from them again. The settees in the shop looked great but when in the home & used as intended they quickly fall short of the most minor of expectations. I contacted them by e mail as the pho e lines were always a few hours wait even mid week mid days and as soon as you get in contact they send a mail stating that the issue is concluded and the case will be closed if no further correspondence is recieved after 7 days. They are in my opinion the worst of the worst in customer service and their parent company should be disgusted with their sofology company. Michael Mashford

I really don't like to complain as I work in customer service myself and always like to give people a fair chance. I ordered my couch in may it was meant to come at the end of August. I received a message mid August telling me it would be delayed till end of September and then the same thing happened in September and it was coming at the end of October, due to these updates I was happy that I knew what was happening and I had no issue obviously with the current circumstances. near the end of October I received a call to arrange delivery as my sofa is ready the day before my sofa was due to be delivered I got a text and an email however that evening I received a phone call to say my sofa was not in the warehouse and would not be delivered and someone will be in touch within 48 hours to rearrange delivery. I got no response from sofology so I started to phone with no success, message them through their website, messaging through Facebook Messenger and also a Watchdog email as the email on the website postmaster was pinying them back, the only email I did receive was from the credit company advising that my first payment would be due in a few weeks time, I have since complained to the credit team and they have now extended my first payment for a month. As I still hadn't received any communication from sofology regarding where my sofa was I had to guess and rebook online hoping it would come, the day prior to the delivery I did not receive a text or an email so I was unsure that this was even happening however the delivery men showed up but with only half my order they had no paperwork, no idea what I should be receiving. I'm now waiting to find out where the other half of my order is, no one is getting in touch with me or answering my messages I can't believe this is happening I'm so disappointed that my experience buying my new sofa is a dreadful one. I'm such a fair person but this is actually the worst I've experienced.

Usually if there's a problem, I don't like complaining, I want to give the company a chance to resolve first, and most do. However, with Sofology, I have experienced a new low in customer service and pretty much everything else. Ordered in May, yep, May. 6 Months ago. Originally supposed to be an August delivery, that was fine. Then delayed three times and eventually got a call to book delivery in October, so we booked in delivery for the 26th October. On the 25th October at 7pm I had a call from a lady saying that the sofa had been lost in transit between the manufacturer and the warehouse, how on earth anyone loses a huge 4 seater sofa is beyond me. I was promised a resolution ASAP and said I would be called personally (sure) by her tomorrow. Low and behold, a day goes by, no contact, no call or email. So I call and the line just says it's busy and hangs up. I've tried to call everyday at least twice, it just seems busy all the time, I also have sent 3 emails and written to them on Twitter. Not a peep from them. To top it all off, two things have happened that I find utterly unbelievable. 1.) The delivery van actually came to my house on the original day of delivery, they knocked on my door and said they had my sofa, then went to get it and it wasn't on the van. What a waste of time and effort that is. 2.) Sofology have informed V12 finance that they have delivered the sofa and fulfilled their end of the contract and asked them to start collecting payments. I am still awaiting to hear from them and really have no idea whether they even bothered making my sofa or just decided against it. To sum up, avoid like the plague, go elsewhere, or you will be paying thousands for thin air, a product which is free anywhere else.

Absolutely terrible service. I was one of these people reading the reviews prior to ordering thinking ‘they can’t be THAT bad, well believe me, they actually are! So upset that I ordered. Was given a delivery date, time slot was given the day before, few hours later delivery was cancelled via text message. (They actually called and when I answered they hung up). Currently into my 2hour 45 minute wait on the phone for an update on when delivery will be. Not holding out much hope with whatever they say based on other comments on here. Wouldn’t be so bothered if I hadn’t got rid of my old sofa, but being 31 weeks pregnant without a sofa is going to be proven very difficult! Don’t waste your money guys- and your bloody time!

Been waiting 5 months for my sofa. This company is a scam!!! False promises no communication show they want to help in store but in reality they don’t care. Still waiting for my sofas and to get hold of these people is a nightmare!

Getting in contact to get a problem solved no chance waiting an hour or more in a phone queue to be told you will be contacted and it never happens very poor

Do not order from Sofology if you require your sofa on the date they advised.. Great service in store, on line chat does not get answered for many days (one request was over a week), emails are the same, telephone enquiries leaves a wait time of over 1.5 hours. Sofa still not received after 26 Weeks.

AVOID SOFOLOGY AT ALL COSTS Sofology are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I ordered a Radley corner Sofa in July 20 and was promised delivery in October. This was delayed by two months and when the sofa was eventually delivered in Decembers is was defective. One of the chairs collapsed after 5 days and couldn't be sad on as you could feel the frame underneath the seat cushion. Sofology claimed there was nothing wrong with the chair with their technician claiming it was just the favourite chair and well worn in. After an argument and explaining a sofa should't collapse after 5 days they agreed to replace the sofa but I had to then wait until June. Sofology wanted to take the defective sofa immediately and expected me to be without a sofa which I had to argue wan't happening especially as I was paying for the sofa each month and wasn't giving them money for nothing. A replacement was delivered in June after multiple calls chasing them for a delivery date. I was then told they couldn't book delivery as I had to pay them £2175 for the sofa. I then had to explain it was a replacement and I wasn't paying them for two sofas. At this point the advisor stated they would need a manager to clear the balance and would call me back. She ended the call and I haven't heard from that particular assistant again. After multiple calls they cleared the balance and delivered the sofa only for the second sofa to be defective. I then spend many hours on the phone and was offered a refund, exchange or store credit. Once again Sofology said they were going to remove the sofa immediately unless I took an exchange. By this point my girlfriend was pregnant and unable to be without a sofa I accepted a replacement as this was the only way to remain with a sofa whilst the new sofa was built. The third sofa was delivered at the end of October but when it was delivered they'd only built part of the order. They had completely missed the console/armrest off the order. When I called to complain about this Sofology then had the cheek to tell me the console wasn't missing it was my fault because I hadn't ordered one. I swiftly explained the sofa was supposed to be a like for like replacement and if the console hadn't been ordered it was because they hadn't ordered it not me. By this stage I demanded a refund, Sofology were quick to remove the Sofa however I'm still fighting with them to get my money back. They removed the sofa 1 day before my first child is due to be born and left us with no furniture. They've told me I have to wait 28 days for my money back which means I can't afford to go and but another sofa. I have paid the sofa off in full, paid them £2175.15 and have nothing to show for it, and will be bringing my baby back to an empty house.

The sofa we revived after a 3 months wait was OK, probably didn’t help the delivery guys literally threw the sofa around (there a creek when you sit down and it’s brand new) Sofology need to get a grip, a thorough investigation of their executive actions needs to be undertaken. why is their parent company DFS not taking action? Why is the only way to contact them Twitter? Why do they have thousands of complaints daily that aren’t answered. This is not a company you should buy from at all, a very basic requirement should be you can speak to the retailer and feel they are happy with your purchase. Sofology is absolutely shocking in these areas and need a drastic overhaul.

We were due to have two sofas delivered on 29th Oct only to receive a phone call from the delivery driver at 17:17 to say that our order wasn't on the lorry.!! Since then despite several emails, attempts at phone calls and a visit to the Swindon store we are no further forward. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced..

I'm surprised by all the bad reviews, maybe I just got lucky or I'm more patient / understanding than others here... I had an overall very good experience with Sofology! Things were a bit slower but I expected that from the very beginning given the current circumstances. The sofa came 3 weeks after the estimated delivery date. Got a call to confirm a delivery slot and it was delivered as normal. They were also a bit slow coming back to my emails, roughly about 4/5 days but again this didn't bother me because I expected it and I'm sure they're down staff like everywhere else at the moment so whatever. I always got lovely and helpful responses. Overall I'm really happy with everything! The sofa is absolutely amazing too and the delivery guys were lovely, in and out in 15 mins.

Sofology sofas used to be ok for the money. But the real problem is that they don't care about customers at all. There is literally no way to contact them. Their phone line always has a minimum of an hours wait and while you wait they add insult to injury by telling you you can get fast immediate access from their website. You can't. The web delivery system doesn't work. They don't respond to email or chat. Even when you get through and create a booking for delivery they won't honour it and there is no way to contact them (apart from the above mechanisms for ignoring customers they provide). If there was a zero stars that is what I would give them - they take your money and then disappear altogether.

If you thought buying a sofa or chair from them would mean it would be delivered you would be mistaken . The phone lines are no longer working no matter which service you require .Emails go unanswered . I presume they are are going into receivership or something .

Shambolic customer service . I’ve had the sofa arrive but not the cleaning kit. When I finally got through to customer service ( over an hour waiting ) they said it would arrive in a few weeks. Three months later and you can’t get through to customer service. Will not buy from again simply as no excuse having such poor aftercare. You really do need to think what if you had a problem with your sofa as there is such poor customer service

Dear Potential Customers One star is far to much for this disgraceful company that threat customers with the utmost contempt. They will promise you everything yet deliver nothing. Please do yourself a favour and keep clear. There are may other reliable sofa companies so don't waist either your time and money with this deceitful company.
