“Absolutely disgraceful company. My claim has been ongoing for over 7 months now. They don’t answer emails at all even though they are supposed to have a 5 day turn around. I have asked for call backs from the manager but apparently she does not know how to use her phone as I have heard nothing back from her! Stay well clear from this company!!!”
“Awful service from start to finish. They are unwilling to speak on the phone and failed to respond to emails. Never use them if you need to make a claim, you simply won’t be able to contact them. Of course they keep up to date with your direct debit collections though.”

My wife sadly had an accident while we were on holiday abroad and tragically passed away.
We had travel insurance with this company and I am still waiting for them to settle my claim, over 6 months later!!
They just repeatedly send the same emails requesting information that I have already sent to them (by registered post) even though they have confirmed receipt of all relevant documents.

“Still waiting for the repatriation claim to be paid out. It is in the terms and conditions from staysure and has been agreed in a email to me so why don't you just honour it. Just to let you know that I need the money for surgery on my prostate and things have got worse due to urine going back to my kidneys which will cause damage. Are you really not bothered about how that is affecting my quality of life having to go through all of this just because no one is willing to accept the claim? If things do get worse then I will also be claiming though my lawyer for any other problems which have been caused by your group.”
“How can you say the damage to my property is due to thermal movement!! There is a huge tree next to the building and our structural engineer pointed out the cause of the destruction - THE TREE!!! It is so obvious as the roots have also caused the pathway to heave. I will now employ a specialist and will go through lawyers to put you right. You have omitted to provide any evidential fact and only state what you want as it suits Davies Group Ltd.”

Having taken out gadget insurance as part of a travel insurance package with Outback insurance, I assumed that it would be covered by Aviva- the primary insurers.
Very unfortunately it was outsourced to this company. My daughters phone was damaged when she was in Australia. She was advised to go to an Apple Store to get a quote for repair which she did.
Her claim was then denied after much delay because this was not an authorised dealer- all of which are in the uk!
What a joke….”
“My elderly parents have been waiting months for their travel insurance claim to be settled. They returned all the required documents to the address on the claim form including a doctors certificate that they had to pay for. It was sent recorded delivery and signed for by someone at the company address but they said it should have been sent to a different address and my parents must pay for a new medical examination at their own cost.”
“I didn't know I was dealing with Davies Group until I put in a claim on my Staysure travel policy, on which I paid extra for travel disruption. Staysure claim a great Trustpilot rating but this seems to be based mainly on people's experience in taking out a policy, not on claims. When I first dealt with Staysure they did seem to have a good reputation on claims but that is now in tatters. I claimed on 20th October, didn't get a proper acknowledgement (except to my complaints about lack of acknowledgement) until end of January. Then, although I had sent all documentation required with my claim, they demanded further documentation that was no longer available to me because they had delayed so long. I WILL fight them.”
“Submitted claim for emergency surgery in US. Initially told 15 working days to assess claim,then kept moving date back. Now been 16 weeks and we still being hounded to pay outstanding bills of $44,000. Not enough staff. Upheld our complaint that they mishandled claim. Awful company. Pls, pls, pls don't use them.”
“Took out the silver policy which stated on their key features document that we were covered for flight cancellations. We weren't. They only cover cancellations for a few select reasons - and hide these reasons in a 97 page T&C document. Underhand and immoral. Financial Ombudsman, Martin Lewis, BBC watchdog, Small claims court here we go”

Took out insurance through Sykes cottages with this company.
Made the claim in August and still waiting two months later.
Death certificate provided but have repeatedly been asked for paperwork that has already been provided.
Terrible service and would strongly recommend not using them.”
