“AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We have been in the middle of a claim with Davies Group for around 6 months after a home flood destroyed our living room. They have managed to loose documents and damage the TV taken for electrics testing to the point it couldn't be repaired and didn't bother to tell us. Every aspect of our claim has been chased by ourselves and we lived with exposed asbestos in our house for 8 weeks before they did anything. We removed the water and sodden carpets ourselves after documenting everything. We complained and didn't get anywhere. The customer service has been at times shocking but the lack of communication and dedicated claims handlers mean unless you call them you will never get a reply to an email or any further in your claim. We are devastated we won't have our home for Christmas and it has been really difficult to come home to. Avoid yourselves the heartbreak and avoid at all costs. No compassion and no help would give 0 if I could.”

“Really should be allowed to zero star a review 1 star ratings flatter to many con man companies. So past onto these through ladybird insurance brokers, also through the French insurance company they put me with. Our car was hit start august took them over 40 days to collect car so no courtesy car given now 66 days in cars written off god knows how long we will wait for a settlement figure to be sorted but am not holding out much hope, you spend hours on the phone past from pillar to post I think I have about 15 numbers for them now it’s a shambles and half the time you don’t even know you will be dealing with these till it’s to late and you have been past to them, complaint made 4 weeks ago to ladybird insurance 2 weeks later told it was pasted to these as urgent and told we would hear in 3 days or by letter in a week to acknowledge the complaint but they haven’t failed in being constant in failing this aswell …. By law they shouldnt be allowed to get away with making a lot of money but offer zero back to customers”
“They must be the worse insurance company to deal with. No reply to emails. Request information over & over again it’s like a drip feed to hold up payment. The staff are hand picked to be the rudest in the business. Say the wrong word and they hang onto it to reject your claim.
If I had a choice I’d be seeking a new insurer

My advice to anyone thinking of going with this company think again. If you challenge the caller that she has picked you up wrong she threatens to hang up on you.

I got the feeling she got some kind of pleasure telling me that.
If my claim was rejected due to wear & tear I accept that. It’s the whole attitude that has sickened me

“Lost my phone on holiday sent them what they asked for, communication great new phone arrived this morning exactly the same as I had lost took a total of 7 days to receive my phone 3 of the days I was abroad thanks for the service”
“I've had the misfortune of dealing with Davies Group on account of the fact that they were appointed by my insurer (AM Trust) as a 3rd party claims management company.
I won't bore you with all the details. Suffice it to say, they seem to take pride and pleasure in treating AM Trust customers with disdain.
They claim to respond to emails, for example, within 5 days, yet in the last 16 days their only proactive communication has been to tell me they didn't receive an important email attachment (even though it was attached to my sent item).
I have tried chasing things up myself but the last time I tried, I only managed to speak to a chap who was helping out answering the phones, which seems to indicate they're understaffed.
In my (admittedly limited) experience of dealing with insurance claims, this is the slowest, most painstaking process I've encountered. I could be forgiven, I think, for wondering if they're deliberately slowing things down at every available opportunity, possibly for commercial reasons.
I'll be withdrawing my custom from their client, AM Trust, at the earliest opportunity, based entirely on my experience of dealing with Davies Group. I'm under no illusion that both companies probably view me as an insignificance but at least I can vote with my feet.”
“This company are just appalling. We had to claim for several items during a house move. We have had an administrative nightmare. The staff won't reply to emails, when you try calling there is no answer. When they finally do respond they are rude. We have now waited over 2 months for our claim to be resolved. What's more frightening, they have send DPD to collect the item a staggering 3 times to the wrong address. We have raised this with them and the fact an elderly woman lives at the address and has caused her severe stress and anxiety. Do not use this company under any circumstances!!! This is our second experience and both were horrific!”

“Absolutely disgraceful company. My claim has been ongoing for over 7 months now. They don’t answer emails at all even though they are supposed to have a 5 day turn around. I have asked for call backs from the manager but apparently she does not know how to use her phone as I have heard nothing back from her! Stay well clear from this company!!!”
“Awful service from start to finish. They are unwilling to speak on the phone and failed to respond to emails. Never use them if you need to make a claim, you simply won’t be able to contact them. Of course they keep up to date with your direct debit collections though.”

We had travel insurance with this company and I am still waiting for them to settle my claim, over 6 months later!!
They just repeatedly send the same emails requesting information that I have already sent to them (by registered post) even though they have confirmed receipt of all relevant documents.

“Still waiting for the repatriation claim to be paid out. It is in the terms and conditions from staysure and has been agreed in a email to me so why don't you just honour it. Just to let you know that I need the money for surgery on my prostate and things have got worse due to urine going back to my kidneys which will cause damage. Are you really not bothered about how that is affecting my quality of life having to go through all of this just because no one is willing to accept the claim? If things do get worse then I will also be claiming though my lawyer for any other problems which have been caused by your group.”
