I did not receive a confirmation email about the booking so I phoned on Sunday, after 8 pm to check where is it and spoke with Martin, then Paul, who not just found the booking but also made amendments because I booked the wrong days. I can't express my gratitude enough to these guys, they are the best! Thank you very much, guys!

Dishonest and unlawful terms and conditions caused us much stress and more than doubled the price of hiring the car. When we came to pick up the car we were told that we cannot get the car unless we have full insurance, as the company has terms in which a UK driving licence holder needs to have an international driving licence as well. This is against the Brexit rules between the UK and EU, which states that UK licences issued while the UK was in the EU were treated as if issued in the EU and it is not lawful to require an international driving licence from holders of the UK driving licence. We were forced to buy the full insurance more than doubling the price of the car hire. Also, we were overcharged by not taking into account the deposit we paid.

After initial issues with the booking and collecting our car, please to advise that the support team have managed to solve our issue and covered the extra cost of the upgraded car we had to take instead of the originally booked one. Happy with how things were resolved and booked with them many times

This type of situation does not normally happen, and we contacted the local agency requesting information on why your reservation was not included in their system. It was an error in the local system and I see that our operator followed the correct procedure, guided you to rent the other car and make the claim for the extra amount paid. Our refund department takes a long time to process the cases, this is due to the collecting all the necessary documents and carrying out the bank transfer. I see in our system that we have successfully returned the 350 euros to your account, and therefore we will consider this case resolved. Arrived to Poland at 1am with 3 hours drive ahead of us with 4 little children to discover that no car is ever been locally booked but money was taken. Disgusting service offering cars that don't even exist

Extremely poor service, anybody who considers renting with Discovercars should very carefully consider. Booking DC-2415031 Short version: I was left without a car stranded at the airport at night with kids, had to pay over 130 EUR for taxis, figure out the next day that my order is no longer valid and pay twice the price. No car, no service, no answering phone calls, not responding to any emails, not taking any responsibility and after all this still charged me for the booking! Full version: I have ordered a car for me and my family with kids with a late pickup at 9pm at Treviso airport. I provided my flight details just in case. The flight was late and I was at the counter at 9:15 pm to find it was closed. Then I figured out that Discovercars don't answer any phones, including the one they provide on the booking under the guise of "Due to high volumes of calls". Getting into the night with kids, stranded at the airport, I had to take a taxi to my destination and then take a taxi to the airport next day with costs of over 130 EUR. The next day, I figured out that my booking is no longer valid, I have to make a new one, wherever I want and pay twice the price. The agent at the rental said that Discovercars are an extremely problematic agent - they do not forward the full booking details and  impossible to get in touch with in case of any issues. All my attempts to get any reaction from Discovercars since then till today (3 weeks) over emails or other media failed. To add to all this -  Discovercars charged me 70 EUR for this order that never happened. Be warned and stay away from Discovercars.

At first the process was simple. However once I went to collect the car the issues started First, they couldn't find me on their list! Had to call some number in Casablanca, and after almost 30mins they found me! After denying I had a reservation. Next they won't accept my card! Even though it's in my name and has more than enough funss, saying it needs to be the same card as the reservation. However discover car took payment via PayPal. The vendor doesn't even know what PayPal is!! And kept repeating has to be the same card. Tried calling the emergency booking issue number provided by discover car, and you know what happened? They f***ing said that I need to email them!! No customer service, just an automated message! While in the airport at the service desk I need to email discover car and wait upto 48 hours for a response! How ridiculous is that? Once they responded after 3 hours, the agent didn't even read my email. Instead told me to use a credit card in my name! Which I clear did and already explained this is the case but the vendor is refusing because I paid initial payment using PayPal! Avoid this company at all costs. They cost me the rental car and my holiday! Ruined my day and of my family. Worst vacation so far all because of discover car. I will remember this company rest of my life. Update: Discover car challenged this review and wanted proof. I emailed them everything yet they ignored it. Update: Discover car replied to my email after 3 weeks. Saying I didn't collect the car because I didn't have enough funds in my card and that according to their terms I won't get a refund. They just keep digging themselves a deeper hole.

We at Discover Cars accept payment with any card in the name of anyone, the credit card in the name of the main driver is only needed to pick up the vehicle, this information was available in the rental conditions before finalizing the reservation and then in your voucher. While the car we ordered was great, and the pick-up process was good, the reason I can only give this 1-star is the HIDDEN FEES and UNEXPECTED CHARGES!!! For example - we were obviously tourists in the city we visited, and on one occasion we drove in an HOV lane, which we later learned was also a toll lane. The toll fee was $1.25. No big deal right? Well - we got the bill for the toll through Discover about 2 months later for $1.25 PLUS a $18 "processing fee"!!! Since we drove in the toll lane on two occasions, we had to pay $2.50 in tolls, plus $36 U.S. in their processing fee! What a load of garbage, how can this possibly cost them $36 to send us a letter? Totally ridiculous.

It is important is to separate the company Discover Car Hire from the local service provider. The company is just a website to link the customer and provide additional services such as insurance. What I would like to make the people aware of is the misleading "Full refund" policy for early cancellation. It just happen to me. I booked beginning of June for the period of September. 10 days later, I found another offer and decided to cancel the booking. This company only proposes a voucher for use in future reservations. So BE AWARE that you are stuck with this company if you want to cancel. I contacted the support and I am still waiting for a response.

When the customer cancels via the website, the system returns the amount with credit, if you want the amount back on the card, you will always have to send us a message or contact us on our phone. I rented a car while I was in Tulum, Mexico. When I arrived at the rental car company (America Car Rental), the associate told me they had ran out of cars. He told me this behind an iron gate because apparently this happens a lot and people tend to get very angry at him. I was aware that this happens, and I was ok. I made do with taxis and renting a bike. The rental car guy said that his boss was arriving later with more cars from Cancun, and he would text me when the cars arrived. He never contacted me. What really angers me is that when I reported this to Discover Cars, they're asking for proof that his actually happened. How am I supposed to prove something that NEVER happened? Basically, they have no idea what's going on at these rental companies, and they accept no responsibility. I want my money back for services not rendered, and I want it back asap.

The child who handled the rental was directly offensive to me in his remarks and threatening tones. NEVER would I recommend this company. It ruined the first day of my vacation and I ended up walking for a MILE in an area unknown to me. Disgusted!

I booked a car 3 days in advance and pay £11 deposit. at the time of booking I was told if I cancel my booking 24 hours before the day of picking Up the car I would get the full refund. although I cancelled my booking one hour after the booking was made and received a message that they refunded £11 to my account , it was three weeks ago and I haven’t received the refund yet. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone this is scam
