I booked a lodge holiday at Landal Kenwick Woods only to be told by Hoseasons six days later that the lodge I had booked was unavailable (an alternative was provided, but was different to what had been selcted and not what I wanted). Hoseasons said they had tried unsuccessfully to contact me by telephone (they tried once) and then sent me an e-mail advising me to call their Customer Services telephone number. Good luck trying to call the Customer Services telephone number - there is a long wait!! Best to try after 6.00 pm. When I did finally speak to someone they put me on hold as they were not sure why I had been contacted. Once connected to the correct person, I was advised by a harrassed lady (it sounded like she had made the same telephone call to various people that day) that this was due to Hoseasons having one booking system and Landal Kenwick Woods having another booking system which did not sync with one another and that this was not the first time that such an issue had occurred. For a supposedly reputable Company with years of experience you would expect them to have an adequate procedure in place to prevent this from happening. I was advised that my refund would be credited to me instantly, but am still waiting. Also, do not attempt to speak to the Live Chat as their only advice is to contact Customer Services. Will not use Hoseasons again.

What a complete joke of a company, their complaints procedure needs to be reviewed and their staff should consider if they want to work for such an unempathetic organisation. I get the long hold times, we're all busy, but to be cut off whilst on the phone 3 times during a complaint, having to go over everything again and again, only for Hoeseasons to admit that it was their mistake, but refused to offer a gesture of good will, it should have been obvious then that these guys have zero care or consideration for their customers. We all make mistakes, but you do what you can to rectify them and regain a customers trust. So we had booked along with another family, 4 adults and 6 kids, to go to a resort together. We did all the prep back in Feb, made all the phone calls and reservations needed and was guaranteed by the Hoeseasons rep that we would have lodges that would be next door to each other. On calling to confirm with the resort it turns out that Hoeseasons made a mistake and booked a different lodge for one of the families which was a fair distance away. Hoeseason admitted that it was their mistake, the resort unfortunately could not accommodate a change and after almost 3hrs worth of call time I was told there is nothing they are prepared to offer unless I provided a call recording, which conviently for them they could not locate their side - even though the call notes said the same and the lodge also confirmed the same. Having explained the reasoning and need for the lodges to be side by side they still offered zero empathy and recourse for their own mistake. I now have the pleasure of disappointing the kids with this news. A simple gesture of goodwill refund would have prevented this long negative review. I will never do business with Hoeseasons again for the basic principle that they do not respect or care for your custom.

They were rubbish two years ago, it seems things are just as bad if not worse. Anyone having issues with them should consider using the Small claim's court process I and many others had previous issues with this lot, they were posting fake reviews to increase their ratings. Same problems then, non response to emails, not answering calls, management and directors not taking responsibility for customer complaints. If you are thinking of using them, then one word 'don't'

would just like to leave you some feed back on you staffs awful customer service, and to advise I will be contacting head office, also would like to make a complaint so could you advise how I would go about this. As suggested below I contacted the number you supplied to find out about cancelling the holiday as it is booked for 26th august for 1 week, there is no way to make this holiday as David’s funeral is on the 1st September. The gentleman I spoke to has no customer service whatsoever. Firstly he advised me that there is no insurance on the holiday so I would lose 90% of the amount. Naturally I asked even in the event of a death, which he then advised he would go and speak to his supervisor. When he returned he then explained that they could refund me but I would still lose the deposit of £177 which I queried as obviously I would have loved to taken my 6 children on holiday but this has happened so suddenly and as you can see from the death certificate it was very recent so my young children are still suffering. The gentleman then told me I HAD TO understand from a business aspect and short notice of cancellation that £177 is so important to such a big company such as Hoeseasons. No compassion at all and I have to understand from the business point of view but as a large business you don’t understand that I am a 43 year old widow with 6 children youngest being 5. He then advised me that the part payment would be refunded to the original payment method, I tried to explain in the event of my husbands death I have had to freeze his bank accounts, he then told me the reason is because of money laundering. I am his wife, this is clearly stated on the death certificate I sent to you. There was no option for me to transfer the booking into my name like what was advised below. My husband died last week suddenly and I have the rudest, member of staff telling me how I have to understand your poor business is losing money and then worried about money laundering.

A terrible and very disappointing experience. We booked a woodland lodge at Finlake in Devon, they messed up our accommodation so they put us in a caravan. They then tried to make out it was an “upgrade” as it was a 6 berth, and the lodge was a 4 berth. They offered a partial refund which we still haven’t had nearly 2 weeks later. They didn’t transfer our early check-in to our new accommodation so my family had to wait 4 hours before we could get in. I’m not sure who was at fault either Hoseasons, Finlake or both of them but in any case, I will never book with them again

Went to Sandy balls holiday park was meant to be vip lodge I’ve stayed. In better caravan the lodge was filthy and the glass panel on decking was not attached to the post we paid £1700 for 4 nights as it said vip it was disgusting Hoeseasons dident want to know said the most were give u is £50 hoseasons voucher are they for real after paying 1700 they said case closed not doing nothing for u now and hung up Their service is awful I will never book through this company again wish I read the reviews for hoseasons before as I will never use them again be warned this is the vip lodge

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Bron Eifion lodges. We stayed in a Teigl lodge. The lodge in which we stayed was in a very poor state, certainly not the high standards we normally expect from Hoseasons and the cost was exceptionally high for what it was like. The driveway, if you can call it that, is terrible, it consists of sharp stones which make the ride very bumpy and uncomfortable, there is a large pile of these stones part way along, presumably to put down if necessary, which makes it seem like you are driving towards some kind of building merchants or quarry! It was like driving a rally car! I cannot imagine the pile of stones would make it any better if they were laid down anyway! The lodge had so many things wrong with it, it creaked badly when you walked around and when the washing machine was on spin the whole room shook! Our granddaughter was rather perturbed to be shaking around sat on a chair at the table whilst eating her breakfast, while the washing machine was on, it's a wonder she wasn't transported across the floor! Cupboards in the kitchen were falling apart, at least one cupboard door was hanging off and the corresponding drawer front was at an angle making it impossible to use. Basically the whole kitchen needs ripping out and replacing it is clearly many years old! The leather sofas were very badly damaged, they were ripped! The protection cover on the double bed beneath the bottom sheet was not clean, you certainly did not wish to sleep on it. Damp patches appeared on the floor near the bathroom wall suggesting some kind of leak from the shower, and the ceiling had obviously suffered water damage in the lounge area as you could see water damage clearly on the wall. The windows, absolutely awful, frames broken, bits of wood actually hanging off and one window was very hard to close as it had clearly dropped and left a large gap at the top! There was a piece of A4 paper on the table asking for a £100 deposit to be bank transferred to an account with a mobile phone number to request a refund of said deposit when you leave!! It was written in pencil! We were frankly astounded that anybody should think there was anything left which could be damaged! It was in too bad a state to begin with, they should have paid us a deposit for risking stopping there incase it fell down around us!! Unsurprisingly we were not willing to pay! The radiators had not seen a coat of paint for many years, if at all, the outside of the cabin was a horrible very dark brown which was peeling off everywhere, the curtains in all rooms had seen better days. The freezer had not been cleaned or defrosted which was clear by the ice and frost and the extremely old tray of ice cubes inside. Frankly I think we left the place in a cleaner state than when we arrived, but it was very disappointing and the description and photo on your website are clearly old! Goodness knows when the photos of the outside were taken but obviously years ago and there are none of the teigl lodge interior on the website, we wouldn't have booked if we had seen the true state of the place, and are now reluctant to think about booking another Hoseasons break! We think Hoseasons obviously need to inspect the places they represent more regularly as this place is clearly nowhere near the high standards which you advertise! The only thing we could say in favour is that the fishing lake is pretty.

If I could give this place a zero star rating....I would. I didn't even get there. How is so you may ask?....well let me tell you. Firstly, with this being the summer holiday's, the pricing was already hiked up as high as possible (£820). Alas, I was looking forward to a romantic retreat with my Fiancée and paid the amount. Then due to unforeseen circumstances my two little boys were let down from a sick relative and had to join us for the holiday in this one bedroom cottage, we were willing to take all the bedding for them, but were told no . The best they could offer was 1 adult and the two boys....I guess that would be me in the double bed and the boys on the bedding I would take. It makes no sense having that empty space next to me does it. Then we phoned the owners directly....wow, wow, wow. Empathetic? no...Rude? extremely...Interruptive? Yes....Repeat business needed? Obviously not. I would never set foot on this property even if I was paid. I even offered more money for an upgrade to Hoseasons....not interested(fully booked I guess). Hoseasons, thank you for putting the customer last.... P.S I was warned not to do this review by the Hoseasons staff, to which I replied why would you take Whipcott Hilltops side and not your customers....to which I had the phone rudely slammed down on me.

rip off of a company. pay a cancellation protection payment to them then when you need to cancel they keep your deposit which is fair enough, then they want more money off you. rip off stay well clear.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL experience here with this park (Green Meadows Carlisle)! I book 6 to 8 Lodge holiday per year for my family. Always Hot tub lodges and always 3 bedroom as I have 3 teenage sons. We arrived at 4pm & were taken to our 1st lodge at 4.25pm - wrong lodge as it wasn't Lake side view so back to reception. We were taken to our 2nd lodge at 4.40pm - again wrong lodge as only 2 bedrooms so back to reception. At 5pm we were taken to the 3rd lodge - bingo right Size however description of lake side view was highly exaggerated (Its a pond with a sprinkler in the middle). Was told by the lovely lady who showed me around that everyone's disappointed with the view! OK so I start to unpack in the kitchen and find the oven covered in grease. The microwave had a dried on milk stain & the fridge was disgusting. So back to reception to complain! Alison the lady who showed in came to inspect and agreed in shock it was dirty. She cleaned the oven and the microwave there & then and apologised profusely. Because it was do dirty I inspected the rest of the lodge. Dust everywhere, windows dirty with finger print and prints from dogs noses, the sink on one of the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned & one toilet still had urine on it. Worst to come was when I lifted the Hot Tub to find a thick line of brown scum around the edge - disgusting! It was filthy so back to reception to complain - nobody in so my 1st call to Hoseasons to complain. An hour passed while I bleached out the fridge and cleaned over surfaces so I could put my food away. Knock at the door it's Alison come to inspect the Hot Tub. Yup she agreed it was filthy & then spent the next 3 hours emptying & cleaning it for our use. Not how I wanted to spend my first night in a luxury 3 bed lodge. While this was happening we realised the lodge only had one TV in it - madness a 3 bed lodge only having one TV in it (no biggy I went out the next day to Argos to buy 2 more TVs) So it's now 10pm and Alison leaves. We get our costumes on ready for a dip and oh oh error code fault on the Tub! Looked through welcome pack for a number to call & NOTHING. No emergency cover or anything - Not happy at all! So Saturday after getting locked In the master bathroom due to faulty lock I call Hoseasons again and make a complaint. I was assured it would be resolved along with the faulty Hot tub. Saturday late tea we get back to the lodge after a day out & I cant get the heating to come on. Another call to Hoseasons! The owner son rocks up 1 hour later and after a bit of back & forwards advises me it set to only come on if it drops below 24 degrees. I complain again to him telling him to adjust the thermostat as my 3 children and I are cold! He said he would be back soon (still waiting 6 days on for that to be fixed) also told him about the bathroom door and being locked in & he said he would fix that immediately (still waiting) & about the Hot tub not working. Again said he would sort the Hot tub asap. Sunday morning & afternoon another 2 calls to hoseasons to complain about the 1) how filthy the lodge is 2) Hot tub still not working 3) heating not working 4) bathroom lock is dangerous - still no resolve, explanation or even apology I might add. Sunday early evening woman knocks on the door to check chlorine levels in the Hot tub totally unaware mines not worked since we arrived. She fixes it but can't use it as it will take 6 hours at least to heat up (furious) 3 Full days not being able to use it! Monday lunch time hoseasons calls me to say they won't do ANYTHING about any of my complaints as the park owner Patrick says I'm lying & the lodge is and has been in full working order! I must provide photographic evidence via email. ANGRY does not cover how I feel or the anguish I've experience over the last 3/4 days on my supposed luxury lodge holiday Lucky for me I did take lots of pictures & will be making a full complaint! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PARK!! (Hoseasons have refused to do anything about the many issues raised)

We booked a caravan through Hoseasons for my husband, young son and myself. We left the caravan after only a few hours of being there as it had bugs crawling in the carpets, even black spots on the mattresses and the whole place smelled. I have a mould allergy and after seeing the mould around the windows we decided it wasn't worth staying for me to become ill with mould exposure. There were coffee or tea marks on the table that hadn't been cleaned off - the whole caravan was just filthy. We returned home that night, travelling almost 7 hrs round trip. Hoseasons were informed and after contacting the caravan site, who eventually answered the complaint after 3 weeks - Hoseasons have since closed my complaint because they were satisfied with the site owner's response, stating the van was clean! I've been robbed of £300 by these scammers and I would urge anyone to please avoid booking through this company as they have proved that they do not care about their customers. I will be taking this further and I will be making a formal complaint against Hoseasons and the caravan park involved. I have never had any reason to complain using other companies and have always found cleanliness and customer care paramount. However sadly I do not recommend booking through this company as you may lose your money like I have. £300 for 3 nights, when we didn't even stay 1 ! I would give Hoseasons no stars, unfortunately had to give one in order to leave a review. I'm so disgusted! This was meant to be a break as being ill with long covid for 2 years which has made me disabled was finally something to look forward to, however it feels that my complaint was never taken seriously, they took my money which is all they are interested in. Will never use Hoseasons again - please look at other companies to book with for peace of mind.

Booked a holiday through hoseasons, 5.5 hour drive with 2 kids and a dog, only to arrive and find out that they hadn't made the booking with the park !!! Luckily the park accommodated us but not the standard of accommodation we booked as these were fully booked. Haven't heard anything at all from hoseasons in the 3 days since

Booked caravan with two dogs on booking the day before we were due to travel they send email asking for party details i noticed the dogs had been removed from booking i phoned to let them know the dogs were missing from the booking agent told me the caravan we had booked did not allow dogs. I asked for another caravan i was told nothing could be done and i would loose 95 percent of my money horrible company would not recommend this company.

TERRIBLE !!! WE BOOKED DEVON HILLS HOLIDAY PARK ON THEIR WEBSITE THINKING THEY OWNED THIS SITE ...BIG MISTAKE ! BOOKED A SUPERIOR LODGE 4..7 NIGHTS ..HAD TO PAY EXTRA FOR EARLY CHECK IN AND LATER CHECKOUT OR ITS 5PM AND 9AM..OUR LODGE WAS ""FAIRVIEW 1"" BIG FOR SALE SIGN ON GATE.. BUILDING WORK GOING ON NEARBY SO LOOKED HORRIBLE ..LODGE WAS VERY MODERN WHICH IS WHAT WE EXPECTED FROM THEIR BROCHURE PICTURES WITH HOT TUB....THE HOT TUB AREA WAS ENCLOSED NOT ON THE VERANDA? EVERY OTHER LODGE WE COULD SEE HAD THE HOT TUB ON THE VERANDA ...NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED LOOKING AT THEIR ADVERTISING BROCHURES.. IT WAS INSIDE A GLASS SCREENED AREA WHICH WAS FILTHY ! COBWEBS ...DEAD LEAVES ...BIRD POOP...AND FILTHY WINDOWS ALL AROUND THE TUB ...DIRTY DECKING... ..YOU HAD ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM TO WALK AROUND IT ..EXPOSED TAPS AND RUBBER PIPES.....WE COMPLAINED IMMEDIATELY BUT WHAT THEY OFFERED US AS AN ALTERNATIVE WAS A LODGE THAT WAS OLD TIRED SMELLY AND DEFINITELY NOT THE SAME STANDARD..!! .WE HAD A LIVE COMPLAINT ON GOING FOR THE FIRST 4 DAYS ...NUMEROUS CALLS WITH HOSEASONS AND THE DEVON HILLS PARK RECEPTION ..THEY WERE USELESS ...DID NOT WANT TO KNOW BASICALLY.. NEITHER DID ANYTHING OTHER THAN FOB YOU OFF! WE WERE NOT ABLE TO USE THE HOT TUB AT ALL DUE TO THE FILTH AND DUST FROM BUILDERS WORKING ON NEW PLOTS NEAR OURS.. .THERE WERE ALSO OTHER CLEANING ISSUES INSIDE THE LODGE WITH COBWEBS ..DIRTY PATIO CUSHIONS ..BLOCKED SHOWER PLUGS WITH HAIR AND DEBRIS WE WERE EVENTUALLY TOLD BY HOSEASONS THAT THE DUTY MANAGER OF DEVON HILLS HAD MADE A DESCISION THAT WE HAD NO RIGHTS FOR COMPENSATION?!...THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE WHATSOEVER...WE NEVER EVEN SAW A MANAGER THE WHOLE WEEK !!..NO MANAGER BOTHERED TO SPEAK TO US....THIS HOLIDAY COST OVER £1,000 FOR THE WEEK.... IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT STRESS ....UPSET...IT WAS MEANT TO BE A RELAXING WEEK FOR MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND AS HE HAS HAD TREATMENT FOR CANCER ...HOSEASONS HAVE NOT DELIVERED THE HOLIDAY WE BOOKED AND PAID FOR .. I WILL NEVER BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN ...WILL BE CONTACTING TRADING STANDARDS AND RESOLVER AS HOSEASONS ARE SELLING YOU A DREAM NOT REALITY ..! Photos and videos taken for evidence

Booked a bungalow on Anglesey when arrived it was very dirty microwave had dried up milk in fridge was also rusty and dirty inside oven was also dirty with dried up food in. Couldn’t stay we had to go back home never again

I just wouldn't bother... thought it was good at first but then it quickly went downhill. A few weeks after I booked a lodge I had an ambiguous voicemail from them so I call back only for them to say that they were no longer working with that park but that they could either offer a refund or find an alternative. The chap sounded helpful and assured me he would help so I opted for them to find an alternative. He said they'd send options first thing in the morning. He did not. I've chased them 5 times and I still never got anything, so in the end I asked to just have a refund. But sorting that has been like getting blood from a stone too! Being passed all over the place, it seems nobody you speak to can actually do the refund, just pass you off to someone else... I then had a call from the lodge park directly, turns out Hoseasons were the ones to severe ties with them and leave them in the lurch, and also apparently it is no better on communication when you are a supplier to them either! AVOID AVOID AVOID unless you like taking time out of your busy day to chase for info and refunds...

WOULD NEVER BOOK VIA HOSEASONS AGAIN IN MY LIFE. Hoseasons are the WORST holiday company ever. Wouldn't move my booking without charging me 75% of my total booking (nearly £500) - absolute rip off company with rip off t&cs. Better customer service in a prison canteen. Avoid Hoseasons like the plague and book direct with the site you're considering (you'll get it cheaper this way too) - all my friends and family are doing the same after hearing about my experience.
