Disgusting company left my friend stranded after saying they would pick his van up they didn't stay clear of them

Terrible experience. We were stuck on the motorway for 4 hours. Absolute incompetence- first person said that they had the wrong address. An hour later, the second person said that they couldn’t get to us as we were on the motorway. Two hours later, we were still on the motorway. It’s dangerous and they are suppose to be an emergency service. They are an unsafe company.

Shocking service been a member for six years I would avoid this company at all costs as when you breakdown there are not interested refused to come out to vehicle with locked keys in due to no mot on vehicle but vehicle was on the mot premises being motd when van locked with keys in it rac totally not interested and said there would be a charge would never use this company ever again also got rac motorcycle insurance so will also cancel that and I will go out my way to give this company bad press

Broke down at 7pm and they gave me a 4 hour wait window ........ 4 hours. Totally unacceptable !!!!

Broke down by Battersea Bridge in London. That is pretty central. It took the RAC SEVEN hours to get someone out to help. I was in the car the whole time. Seven hours. They are severely understaffed (don’t believe it when they say there are more breakdowns than normal). The patrol guy said they lost a huge amount of the workforce last year and never filled those spots. Please do not give money to this organisation. Much better to go with the AA (which I joined, as I sat waiting).

I took a car insurance after 6months I moved address I was told RAC do not carry on with my new post code I have to cancelled and they have to quote me for new one. (Quote me for ne one £1500plus I can't remember exact figure as I was shocked) so I they will cancelled my insuranrance with all they deduction etc plus I have to get a new one from their quote 8x my insurance. I argue why they even going to deduct cancellation fee I am not cancelling I have move address they are the one told me they will not carry on with my insurance instead they will cancelled and quote me a new one. .. this RAC is good on name but beware of their hidden trick a SUCCER.... to cut the story short I have no choice but just to cancelled (I took new insurance from another company which similar similar figure before I moved address) so after all their cancellation fees I was told I have around £50 left they will refund I ask them how do they refund I was told they will refund to the card I paid in full when I took the insurance. I check with the person I'm talking to if I they have the right card etc, yes its all good. Now 2 Months later I am still chasing them for my refund for my money. All I can say think twice before you take insurance from RAC... I will never recommend this...A big No NO NO NO NO. I am hoping that all the customer who have the same experience with RAC PLEASE COME FORWARD AND WRITE YOUR REVIEW... let's bring this company down.....

As I went in to rac on this day of April 10th I had the store manager malaka confronts me about a review I made about her rude attitude well I plain told her I left her a bad review what she just was so unprofessional it was so unbelievable and unbusiness like that I was sickened by it she also stated that her boss chrissy told her to confront me what are you kidding me I'm a paying loyal customer and I dont appreciate that at all so so unprofessional how can a boss tell another boss to confront a customer about a bad review I gave maybe yall should consider hiring a more business like professional staff like your store manager to run the place I pay for my stuff loyalty even have paid more than what I should but I do because I want to own my items but I will not tolerate being confronted about a bad review I gave about a bad employee and the rude attitude all the time over the phone or even in store unprofessional very

THINK HARD BEFORE BUYING A BATTERY FROM THE RAC. Unfortunately I did and with 2 years warranty remaining it won’t hold charge. Customer Services are using Warranty small print to avoid changing it. They suggested an escalation procedure that ends up being considered by the original Customer Service Operative who then refuses further escalation. This is ‘marking their own homework’. As a vulnerable 73 year old, I have been without transport now for almost 3 weeks. My advice is avoid RAC batteries like the Plague.

My vehicle wouldn't start yest as i went to go to hospital for treatment. We have home start with the RAC so we called them out. He said it looks like the battery because its showing only 60% He jump started it and got it running. Later that day we took the car for a 25mile run. The next day it went in for its M.O.T with a garage we completely trust. We was told that the battery is still running low, and would advise to get a new one. But as RAC put that new battery on last year 2020 It said we have a 5 year warrenty. So today we contacted RAC and explained what had happened, and what was advised to us. We said the the new battery had not even been on a year and so its still under warranty. They said they would get someone out to us (the lady classified it as an emergancy due to the fact its essential as I need it to get to hospital twice a week). When the chap came out, he tried to test the battery, but his computer said that it couldn't go any further as it read 12.5 With this he said that he could not put a new battery on. Although the warranty was still valid he said they changed the warranty rules last year and if they battery shows what it said on his computer he can't authorise the new one. This to me is madness, it under warranty... and our mechanic said that it was low and needs replacing as he didn't want it to happen again when I need it for the hospital. We will be ring back to discuss this further.......

Been with them for a few years but wasn't happy with their service. Ive waited over 4 hours (then cancelled)for recovery cause they were busy, poor communication, had to ring them as they never called us when they were over 1 hour late. Eventually cancelled them when our local mechanic helped us out and got the car going. Another time, again waited hours for him to drive past us several times (big car, broken down in a cycle lane, couldn't miss us!). Decided to cancel cover at renewal, they took payment from my debit card so I couldn't stop payment. As payment was still pending I rang them for them to charge me £26 to cancel! Disgusted!!!

3 days 9 hours is how long it took the RAC to recover my vehicle, unacceptable. I tried to cancel my policy, but the RAC said as I had benefited from their service this wasn't an option. Totally unacceptable.

My car was broken down and had to wait over an hour then driver arrives just to tell me that he won’t toe my car unless I pay them £180. I rang rac helpline to complain why he’s asking for money when I have PREMIUM RESCUE membership? The man on the phone said that driver shouldn’t be asking you for money and toe my car to any destination I want, but still rac driver still refused to do anything as he said I don’t maintain my car lol , so I ended up paying for 13 months (£17/month) for nothing. Don’t waste your money and get scammed.

Hi I'm am still waiting for rac to come out it has now been 5 hours since 17.00 and still no sign of them just silly texts I have complained and they have told me 23.57 this is unacceptable but because my company use rac fleet I have no choice.

Syed took my phone call and was calming and reassuring. Within a very short time Greg arrived and diagnosed the problem with my crv. Greg organised a tow truck and Simon arrived within an hour and took charge. Thank you rac 😊
