“I used Stubhub for the first time today. To my mind they are a total ripoff.
The fees they charged for a ticket exceeded 50% of the actual ticket price.
In other words
a $35 ticket with email delivery ended up costing $60.10 (including tax).
Stubhub does not allow cancellation of purchases and was not willing to adjust their fees.
The ticket was actually delivered via Ticketmaster, so one might as well just buy any ticket directly from Ticketmaster, ignoring any link to Stubhub supplied by event organizers.
Stubhub's ticket delivery via a 3rd party is also somewhat of a nightmare.
This was the 1st and last ticket Ibought from Stubhub.”
“I recently purchased a ticket from StubHub for baseball game, only to discover that the event had already started or was past the intended time. Upon realizing this, I immediately reached out to their customer service for assistance.
Unfortunately, I received no meaningful help. I was met with indifference, and no effort was made to correct the mistake or offer compensation. The lack of care shown by the company, despite selling an unusable ticket, was disappointing and unacceptable for a platform that claims to ensure safe and reliable ticket purchases.
This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with StubHub, and I am considering legal action to recover the costs of the ticket and additional expenses related to this issue.
I would advise others to be cautious when using StubHub, as their customer service and reliability, in my case, have been severely lacking.”
“I spent $1300 on tickets, which I never received. Multiple phone calls to customer service just to get the runaround and lied to. Requested refund multiple times and told I would receive an email to claim a refund. The emails never came. Stub hub is a total rip off-I will spread the word to everyone I know to never use this site!!!”
“I bought some tickets for a Braves game and parking. Due to death in the family I needed to resell tickets. The parking ticket was a QR code and couldn't be re listed despite being sold to me as resellable. I contacted support days before the game. Lots of wrong answers. I again contacted support the day of, no help. Followed up on Instagram where they told me they couldn't do anything as the game had passed. They told me "you should've just given them to a family member or something". That was a really appalling response. I will do everything possible to stop giving them any more of my hard earned money (they've made thousands off me the last few years)”
“I do not like that I buy 2 tickets to a steelers game and they charge me 209.92 in fees and don't tell what the fees are for. Will not buy from them again.”
“You confirmed that I transferred a parking pass and then came back two days later, which was game day and said it was the wrong email. You refuse to honor the confirmation Similar thing happened last year Recommend not using StubHub”
“I had purchased tickets few months in advance for a show September 15th. The band rescheduled date of the show to March which is 6 months away. I was srill told I would have my tickets by September 15th and could use them in March. It is now after September 15th and still no tickets or word of refund. I keep getting the run around. I will never order from them again.”
“Purchased tickets through stub hub and keep getting the runaround as to when i will receive actual tickets that I bought for an Auction item for an event and when I DO call I get someone who barely speaks or understands English and is extremely rude on the phone! You would think that for $124 SERVICE FEE per ticket you might actually get decent customer service. NEVER AGAIN”
“Horrible experience. Bought lower level seats and seller never released tickets. On Day of event i was trying to get solution. I was given options at that last min. Sit in 400 sections for price I paid or refund! I took the refund and found cheaper and better seats on seat geek!”
“I bought a ticket for a football game. The ticket was not available when game started. I asked for a refund and they weren't willing to refund the ticket.”
“If i could leave no stars i would. I called because 1. I have not received my refund for Aerosmith and when i wanted to talk to supervisor was not allowed. 2. Bought Alan Jackson tickets in june and still have not received correct ones. They sent wrong ones and they keep saying we will have the right ones by the concert. Time to find a new ticket vendor.”
“I ordered tickets a month ago, received th QR code for each ticket. The day before the event I received an email the the seller can't fill my request and to choose an alternative offer. So based on recommendation from Stubhub help desk, after my 5th call with them 9ver this issue I selected accept. Then received an email my alternative offer was for 2 seats vs the 4 I purchased. So I call Stubhub back for the 6th time ans was advised to wait until 6am Pacific time(3 hours before my event starts) once I got someone on the phone I was instructed to accept another alternative offer as the new current seats were not. Finally I decided to request a credit and try again. BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT USE STUB HUB.......TRY TICKETMASTER or SEAT GEEK!!!!! Worst experience ever”
“I recently went through Stub Hub to purchase two tickets for the Indiana vs Charlotte football game on September 21. The seller has cancelled the transfer of these tickets and so I notified the customer service dept of Stub Hub to get this resolved. They have not been able to contact the seller and keep telling me they are working on it. With a little over a week left before the game, my patience has worn thin and am not gonna wait on them the day of the game to find me other tickets or refund my money. Their policy fora refund is the morning of the event. How can anyone plan a trip to a football game with these policies. The game starts at 11:00 where I live. And its a two hour trip. You don't just find a parking area, you plan in advance. I'm going to "eat" the money I paid Stub Hub and go through another vendor to purchase new tickets. As for the seller who has refused to transfer the tickets, I'll let him "eat" those tickets because I am not gonna wait any longer to wait on his transfer.”
“I purchased tickets for a concert at the Western Wa Fair from Stub Hub.. We paid $732.73 for 4 tickets. I received the receipt but Stub Hub doesn’t allow access to the ticket QR until the day of. On the day of the concert only 2 tickets would pull up. I attempted to resolve it with Stub Hub but the AI chat option sent me round and round. We attempted to use the tickets at the venue and were told Stub Hub often rips patrons off by selling the same tickets to multiple people. I had to purchase 4 new tickets from the venue directly in order to attend the concert. After the concert I again attempted to resolve the issue with Stub Hub and was told the reason the tickets didn’t pull up was that the concert was over. I assured the company this was not the case. I had documentation of the issue and venue manager also documented the issue. The Stub Hub employee ended the chat and would not respond when I attempted to resolve it again. Visa took care of the issue the next morning.”
