“Where do I start!!!
This company tried very hard to steal nearly £3000 off me.
I had booked and paid in full for my holiday earlier than I needed to, and then Covid came.
I tried to contact Agni Travel to see what could be done and they said Nothing.
So because I knew I couldn't do anything, I let them think I was still going on holiday. I knew this greedy company would get up to some more tricks closer to my scheduled holiday.
Sure enough they did and started to pester me into cancelling so I stood my ground and said "if you give no refund then I dont cancel"
I knew this would prevent them from trying to put my villa back up for rental, as I fooled them into thinking I had dome magical way of going.
Sure enough 9 days before I was due to go on holiday Agni made an unauthorised cancellation of my holiday WITHOUT my permission!!
So now Agni had made a BIG error!!
Because now I had the ammunition to make a claim on my credit card, so I did and I won!! Every single bit of money I paid, was put back into my account
TIP:
AGNI have force majeure in their out of date pathetic terms and conditions.
Their force majeure claus is Non specific
VERY IMPORTANT.
if you had to cancel due to covid, then this is a frustrated contract, and Force majeure is not a big enough rock for Agni to hide under
Thats how you do it guys and gals!!!
YOU DONT ACCEPT VOUCHERS, VOUCHERS ARE FOR LOSERS!!
(Look at how many fools accepted vouchers then went on trustpilot to say how wonderful agni travel was and now the same people are back on trustpilot saying how they have been let down)
CASH IS KING REMEMBER CASH IS KING
DID I SAY CASH IS KING
THINK ABOUT IT this is what appears to be happening.......
Agni give voucher
You try to claim
Agni say sorry no availability
Then price increases
Then they give priority of accomodation to people who are not using vouchers
Then your voucher is old and worthless
Then you lose your holiday
Then Agni win :-(
When I phoned Agni, I was able to speak to one of their muppets
He put his hand over the phone whilst he talked to a colleague and I heard him say "I've got one of the suckers on the phone"
WHOSE A SUCKER NOW AGNI????”
“My mum, brother and I have booked with Agni for years. Our holiday last year was moved to this June. As Corfu is Amber we cannot risk going especially as my mum has health issues. My brother has paid the balance early. Agni will not allow us to move the holiday and we have lost all the money. We are so disappointed as they have been great in the past. Such a shame that they will not be accommodating like all the other companies out there. We will not be using this company again.”
“DO NOT book with Agni Travel
Save yourself alot of stress and DO NOT book with Agni Travel, they are the sort of company that gives the travel industry a bad name. You will find the same villa on other websites NOT beachvillas.com as that is the same company plus if you buy on booking.com it will still be Agni Travel who profit.
On receipt of our balance reminder email I asked to move the holiday to a later date and stated I would pay an amendment fee if needed as due to my partners key worker status meant we could not isolate on return, was told to pay up or lose the £700 already paid. They hid behind their T&C's which state that amendments are at the company's discretion. Whilst waiting for a reply from them asking why they would not consider an amendment they cancelled my booking and stated if I wanted to reinstate it would cost an additional £50. The villa was back on sale on their site the following day. How disgusting!
When so many travel companies are bending over backwards to help their customers during the most difficult period the industry has ever experienced Agni Travel are only interested in making quick money at their customers expense - they should be stripped of their ABTA membership.
Wish I didn't have to give them 1 star, they do not deserve it.”
“We had booked an apartment in Tuscany through Agni Travel. We had already planned a quarantine on return.
Italy has now imposed a 5 day quarantine for our travel date on site. The agency said we can enjoy the house. Wait a minute after the 7 days booked. We are not allowed to quarantine or make any purchases. We didn't have an answer when asked who looked after us in the vacation rental. It would have been possible to change the booking in high season for an additional € 3,500. But there is no money back and it was not possible to rebook until 2022.
Get your hands off this agency, they are scammers!”
“Very interesting to see so many bad reviews from people who a few months ago were defending Agni Travel just because they had been handed a worthless travel voucher.
I said to many people you wait, it won't be long before Agni worm out of their voucher obligations, and here we are!
EVERY review I have posted on TripAdvisor about that Scum Agni Travel company has been removed by Trustpilot because it was negative and Agni wanted it removing, inspite of me showing proof of purchase.
My villa was cancelled by Agni because I refused to cancel because I had paid in full, so had nothing to lose BUT Agni had something to lose because they knew they could let my villa to other nationalities who were allowed travel last year. So what did Agni do They cancelled my villa 9 days before my dates and re advertised my villa for the weeks I had paid for.
I was now able to pursue a section 75 with my credit card company, it was hilarious to watch them snatch back every bit of money I had paid and put it back into my account.
People wake up!!! Don't fall for the oldest trick in the book, the voucher trick, all Agni need to do is make it hard for you to book a holiday with the voucher by restricting availability, giving priority to new customers as they won't be owed money, inflating the holiday cost in excess of your voucher price.
Please be aware folks
AGNI TRAVEL ARE SCUM!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID
DONT BELIEVE TRUSTPILOT REVIEWS, THEY DELETE MOST NEGATIVE REVIEWS EXCEPT FOR A FEW JUST TO AVOID SUSPICION
MANY POSITIVE REVIEWS CAME IN A FLOOD, POSSIBLY FAKE”
“Avoid this travel company. They did not uphold any credit notes that were issued during the pandemic and expected us to book a holiday with them during this. Failed to advise the credit note only lasted for 6 months too.
Customer care very poor, replies are short and unhelpful, not willing to asssit at all. Will never use them again.”
“I strongly advise against booking with Agnitravel! We had booked a week's holiday at the beginning of April 2020 in Mallorca for €569. When the lockdown was announced 15 days before the start of our holiday, it was impossible for us to travel to Mallorca. We tried to contact agnitravel many times during 6 months, Facebook page (which was deleted during April 2020), phone, email, but our requests remained unanswered. Radio silence for 6 months. It was only in November 2020, when we tried to call them back, that they replied. Delighted we spoke to the customer service who informed us that we could have a voucher for the amount of our booking or a refund of about 500€ of our booking. We were delighted and asked them to confirm this by email. Surprise! In their email they only indicated a credit note of 200€! We called them back and were told not to call them again! Following this, we looked into using this 200€ credit for the same vila at the same period, surprise, the rates had doubled and we had to add a considerable sum again! I TOTALLY DISCONTINUE AGNITRAVEL, no understanding, unkind and incompetent customer service! It's a pity, on the surface this site seemed serious!”
“Crooks!! Split booking with homeaway&agni, home away paid there half off the deposit, agni travel sent all my mail too junk or spam mail, which removes after after certain amount off days, all our emails prior to that was sent to inbox everytime, this was due to the pandemic.so we never picked up our mail up as I dont check junk email everyday.my advice is to keep well away,”
“Absolutely disgusting behaviour by Agni Travel
We booked a holiday last year and paid for it in full
Covid crisis came along meaning we couldn't travel
I got in touch with Agni after 5 weeks of trying they said no refund and only voucher which must be used for later in the year but how would I book holiday in December!
They cancelled my holiday and gave no refund
Be aware that Trustpilot is allowing Agni Travel to post lots of false favourable reviews just look at how many suddenly appeared when nobody can travel
FEEFO closed their account too I wonder why????
Agni travel are a bunch of Scamming cheats
STAY AWAY FROM AGNI TRAVEL FOR YOUR OWN SAKE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED”
“Dreadful experience, made our lives a misery during Covid 1st lockdown in 2020.
Unable to contact this company for 4 weeks unable to claim refund or vouchers for our holiday which we had paid in full for.
they cancelled our holiday 2 weeks before we were due to travel gave no refund then had nerve to put our villa back on their site as available for the very 2 weeks we had booked and paid for
ANYONE THINKING OF BOOKING MY ADVICE IS DONT!!!
I have also heard reports that they have CCTV cameras located INSIDE some villas, not sure if this is true but the reports I read suggested this”
“Stay away from this company My June 2020 holiday was cancelled due to covid restrictions and i received a voucher to be used 2020/2021
The catch is if you don't redeem the voucher by 2021 its gone How in the name of god could you book a villa in the middle of a global pandemic. How pitiful is a voucher that last 6 months and they pocket my sizeable deposit and insurance premium i never used
Stay away from this company they are not an honourable company”
“We booked and paid in full for a Villa in Menorca in August 2020 £7000 and due to the Government Announcement we could not travel. Our flights were cancelled by Jet 2. We contacted Agni Travel and asked if we could move our dates to August 2021 and they said no. They hid behind emails and despite many requests never called us. We are all saddened by the consequences of COVID-19 and the damage it will do to businesses. However Agni Travel have put themselves first and their customers second. I feel for any business that goes bust as a consequence of this terrible situation but Agni could have dealt with this in a far more proactive and positive way. In the end their response was selfish, short sighted and I expect will contribute to their ultimate demise. Agni Travel are NOT trustworthy and will not be their to support you in your time of need. AVOID this company. I expect their attitude and their handling of this pandemic will also have a massive knock on effect to the villa rental industry as a whole as ultimately you have NO PROTECTION IN LAW. Think before you spend your money. We are a family of Local Authority Foster Carers and we cannot afford to lose our money and get NO HOLIDAY - How is this fair or even legal? I can only say that to me Agni Travel are simply con-artists of the highest order and I may yet make a legal claim against them.”
“If I could give them 0 stars I would. They cancelled our villa after our flights were cancelled to Menorca. Refused to offer alternative dates or voucher.
Complained to ABTA and awaiting response.
Customer service is appalling. Money grabbers cashing in on pandemic. Read reviews on Trust pilot. In fact they changed their website domain due to the amount of negative reviews so it looks like they done have many. DO NOT USE”
“Plain out said SCAMMERS!
They book your villa, and then when covid comes, they are unable and not willing to budge...
We suggested to change the date, even with payment, or money back, or atleast something, but they stick to their no refund, while they have a refund policy!
Im going to try to cancel it from my bank account hoping to pull back my money, let them come with complaints, then ill tell them NO REFUND!
I hope they get corona! then atleast they need all the stolen money from me and the ppl below....”
“daar te komen. Agnitravel reageerde heel bot en er was niets mogelijk. De reis kon ook niet verzet worden naar volgend jaar. Ons geld 2700,— zijn we dus kwijt.”
“Booked a Villa in Greece for October. Two weeks before departure, my flights got canceled. Suggested various solutions to Agni such as:
- Postpone the booking for a year
- Book another appartment for the same time period in another country
Absolutely no willingness from Agni Travel. They took the full amount and even worse! Already rented the same accomodation for the same time period again, so sold the same thing twice!
Strongly suggest to avoid any offering from AgniTravel.”
“Wij hadden een villa geboekt in corfu maar nu in corona tijd kan dat niet doorgaan maar we krijgen het geld 2760 euro ook niet terug zelfs geen voucher ze willen geen kant op waardeloze reis firma”
“Agni Travel - What a pantomime!
My future wife and I had booked two villas in Lefkada, Greece for our upcoming wedding.
After having paid the 20% deposit, and due to the Covid-19 travel bans and quarantine restrictions we tried to contact Agni Travel numerous times via e-mail and phone calls in order to move the booking dates. Please note none of their phone lines work (UK: 01983 568131 , International: (0044) 207 1836468) at this stage.
Agni Travel's customer service was just naïve and unethical. To be fair the booking process was speedy and smooth (thanks to Naomi and Vangelis).
However their customer service agent (Mr Nigel Smith) while we have been requesting a direct point of contract, addressed us back to an automatic FAQ list. Agni initially did not include a clause of ''Force Majeure'' claim conditions and they re-introduced it in a later stage.
Be careful! No insurance - No claim compensation from them!
In addition, there is no personalised e-mail or phone number to reach in each destination country. The ''Destinations Manager: Greece'' Mr Timos Giakoumelos cannot be reached (no contact info provided in their webpage). Agni's ''Vice CEO'' Mr Nathan Pascoe cannot be reached either. For clarity, all these people do have LinkedIn profiles and manage other travel agency offices, such as the Let's Go Zante (Link: https://letsgozante.com/) of Mr Timos Giakoumelos.
In brief, we have cancelled our booking after waiting more than 4 weeks for some guidance/assistance with no response from Agni Travel. No hope for a deposit refund. These scammers will just pocket-in a serious sum of deposit without even showing some empathy and partial refund.
Please avoid them at all costs or buy an all-in (expensive) travel insurance before reserving any properties with them.
I wouldn't be surprised if Agni Travel goes into administration within the next few months.
D.”
