Actual thieves. No hyperbole. Just stole my money. My flight was delayed from Leeds and when I arrived in Majorca, there was no shuttle buses, no nothing. I phoned their number repeatedly with no answer. It was past the time the office was advertised as open now so I had to find another way to my hotel. Get hold of them in the morning and they tell me that because I didn’t let them know quickly enough (!) that they have now cancelled my car and have kept the money. Literal theft No idea how to move forward as this is the first day of the holiday. Do I hire a different car or do I try pursuing them further? Not questions I would expect to have to think about on my holiday. Disgusted.

Customer service is dreadful Agents are unwilling to help, and extremely passive aggressive. I was charged multiple times for same reservation, they do not respond to emails. Customer service only open 3 limited days per week. If you get hold of an agent they refuse to help. DO NOT BOOK WITH AUTOEUROPE.

Review of Auto Europe My experience with Auto Europe was extremely disappointing. I booked a car through their service (Voucher № EU22630753), providing all required information, including my flight number so that the rental provider could track any delays. On the day of the rental, my flight was delayed. Upon arrival at the pick-up point, I was informed that no car would be provided. Auto Europe refused to refund the payment, claiming I was responsible for personally reporting the delay. This raises the question: why do they request flight numbers if they do not use this information to assist the customer? In fact, the rental service was not provided. Nevertheless, the company retained the full payment, refused to accept responsibility, and even refused to verify whether the payment was passed on to the actual rental provider. I consider these actions to be wrongful retention of funds for an unprovided service. The company completely dissociated itself from any responsibility and demonstrated absolute disregard for customer support. I do not recommend using Auto Europe. In any unexpected situation, you will be left entirely on your own, without assistance and without a refund.

And spite of my reluctance to book a car through a rental car broker, I did contact AutoEurope. As As I was relaying my credit card information for a 5 day rental, I had some questions regarding potential flight delays. I was advised that if I was more than 30 minutes late the reservation would be canceled. They further questioned if I was would receive a refund. Given the potential for air travel, baggage and shuttle delays I opted to pay a 20% higher rate through a more established service. AutoEurope's policies are a recipe for long term (3rd party) disputes.

🇬🇧 English Review Avoid Auto Europe – Hidden Terms and No Customer Support I booked a rental car through Auto Europe’s website for pickup on July 24th, but when I arrived at the car rental company I had selected via their platform, the agent refused to give me the car. The reason? I was asked to show my flight boarding pass, and once I did, the agent said I could not receive the car because I had landed more than 24 hours prior – I had arrived on July 10th. This condition was never mentioned during the booking process on Auto Europe’s website. I booked the car starting from July 24th because that’s when I needed it – there was no indication that I had to land within 24 hours of that pickup date. When I contacted Auto Europe, they were completely unhelpful. I was told that my rental was void, I had lost the €2,100 I paid, and I needed to make a new booking. Only after completing the booking and receiving the voucher did I see – in fine print – that there was a condition requiring me to land within 24 hours of the pickup date. This is completely unacceptable. Important conditions like this must be clearly presented before payment, not buried in post-booking documents. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I strongly urge others to stay away from Auto Europe. Their lack of transparency and refusal to assist in resolving the issue cost me a significant amount of money and time.

The problem of some people is that they do the reservations and don't read the terms and conditions and just accept. If you don't read how come you can blame the company?? I work on a car rental and i see this all the time! People that don't have credit card and the company does not accept debit and wants to use the card of the husband or wife! You can have a joint account but cards are personal, if it has a name is because ONLY that person can use and not anyone else. Learn to read the vouchers before coming to the desks!!

The process was smooth, and I finally felt a sense of closure after days of stress and uncertainty. This experience was a harsh wake-up call about the dangers of trusting online financial platforms. No matter how legitimate a company seems, it’s essential to conduct thorough research before making any investment. I now take extra precautions and encourage others to do the same. If something feels off, act quickly waiting too long can make all the difference in whether or not your funds are recoverable.”

We had a terrible experience with autoeurope. It turned out that we could not use the paid voucher and ended up paying double for the car rental. Customer support is very poor, they do not respond to written complaints and do not take into account the facts. We would not recommend using the autoeuropa service to anyone, a much better option is to directly arrange the car rental without an intermediary on site. Also, we didnt get no refund.

my issues are with Auto Europe and in particular with José Manuel‍. My flight was cancelled into Helsinki, I advise José Manuel‍ and he said they had advised Finrental, but he admitted via email he didn't. when I arrived at 23.15 to collect the car nobody was at the rental company. I had to take out another rental with a different company for twice the price, to get me to my destination.

A very bad experience. They cheated us out of money by adding 4 extra days to our bill that we didn't actually use. They claimed that we didn't return the car on time, even though we returned the car 4 hours earlier than the contract said. We then flew home, so there was no way we could use those extra days. We also sent them a picture we had taken in the car park when we returned the car as proof. It also showed the date and time of return. We contacted them to get our money back, but they have not replied for 2 months. Nor have they returned the money. But we won't leave it at that, because it's a scam whereby they launder the money.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Auto Europe, and I want to warn others before they make the same mistake. I booked and paid for a car rental through their platform, assuming everything was straightforward. However, when I arrived at the airport with my luggage, ready to pick up my car, I was told by Hertz that I couldn’t rent the car without a return flight ticket. This was a requirement Auto Europe completely failed to inform me about during the booking process. The first time I heard about it was when it was too late, leaving me stranded at the airport with no car, no options, and a missed appointment. I tried contacting Auto Europe for assistance, but no one answered the phone initially, leaving me feeling completely abandoned. When someone finally did call back, their dismissive and unprofessional attitude only made things worse. Instead of helping, they blamed me for not meeting the "requirements," which I was never properly informed of. Their response to my complaint was just as frustrating. They hid behind their terms and conditions and refused to offer a refund, even though their lack of transparency caused this whole ordeal. Auto Europe clearly does not take responsibility for ensuring customers are informed about critical requirements. If you're thinking about booking through them, beware: their service is unreliable, their communication is unclear, and their customer support is shockingly poor. Save yourself the stress and avoid Auto Europe at all costs.

Booked an average car online, paid in full. When I arrived in Athens to collect it I was told by staff that the deposit amount was 2000 euros, I gave my card but they tried to charge 3000 Euros which is above my credit card limit. No other options were offered, I was left out of pocked and did not get the car. I have travelled a lot and rented many cars in various countries but I have NEVER seen deposit amount of 3000 Euros for an average car.

Don't book with them. If a problem occurs, and even if this is not your fault, you are likely to never see your money again. We booked a car, and despite showing up on time with all required documents we did not get it. The Hertz rental station had some technical problem and could not give us the car. While this was Hertz's fault, what followed is certainly Auto Europe's fault: they refused to return the money over a couple of months. Every time we wrote them a message, they completely ignored what we reported (that Hertz could not hand out the car) but replied that we "violated the 48h cancellation rule" and therefore don't get the money back. So, if the rental fails to give you the car (for whatever reason), Auto Europe still tries to keep the money by referring to the cancellation policy. Finally we got the money back after a few months, but for that we had to write many messages, call a few times, and even get in touch with legal advisors.

Paid for full insurance cover in advance. Upon collecting the car was told it wasn't covered, so added it at the pick up. Auto Europe not interested in trying to solve the issue

I rented through Auto Europe and thought we had received a great deal, however we had to add an extra day to our trip and that is when it all went down hill. To add 1 extra day on the rental was very overpriced and had to downgrade the vehicle just to keep the pricing affordable. When we got to the airport to pick up our rental the counter rep offered us additional insurance which we refused. The rep was adamant that we take it. I told my husband that our care coverage would be enough so we politely told him no we did not want it. When we received our credit card statement, the additional charge from Fox was on our bill. Auto Europe refused to help us and Fox said we signed for it. I would not recommend Auto Europe or Fox Rental Car and I am very disappointed in the reps deceptiveness.

Although initially, it seemed to be a good experience, I got totally screwed by Europcar who was the actual renter at Paris Charles de Gaule airport. Basically they said they did not have the car I rented and prepaid, forced me into an upgrade telling me it would be at no cost but 2 weeks after the rental is finished they send me an invoice (and take the money on my credit card) for an upgrade. Another 2 weeks after, I get an invoice (and they take the money as well) for damages on the car...which there were none.. plus 2 other transactions appeared on my credit card from them that got reversed a few days after... I contacted Auto Europe to get explanation and get those reversed but they had no interest at all in helping.. basically they got their money and did not care about the rest.. very disapointing... Be VERY careful if you deal with them.

Pure scam!! We had booked a Station Wagon category via Auto-Europe. Unfortunately, we were not informed that this model was unavailable, a fact I only discovered after contacting your agency following a delay with my Air Canada flight. After our flight changed on August 28, we attempted to adjust the vehicle pick-up time. During the call, we were informed that it was not possible to simply modify the pick-up time, and our reservation was altered. We were downgraded to a smaller vehicle the car type from CWMR to SFMR, while the original price remained unchanged. Finally we got lied by europcar agent and trap into signing an upgraded. Long story short we are overcharged 3k$ ....
