Benson for beds customer services are a joke if you are buying they great but if you have a problem the number you have takes one hour to a hour and a half I was not happy with the padded top of my mattress it was not as good as the one in the shop they sent some one to look at it when he first felt it he said it was hard I said that is my point he was left with the mattress he finished and I said you will say it is faulty he said no i said you said it was hard they sent me a letter its within perimeter so to get a new one I would have to pay ten per cent of the mattress and delivery that would be over 150 pounds my warning is you can not get your money back guarantee is worth less. Do not buy e happy with the padded top of my mattress they sent some one who said on

Poor service from this company. Mattress as dipped in the middle but the answer to that is natural settlement. Doesn't help as bought the mattress to help with a bad back so it's not helping. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

Having read many of the reviews after reporting a faulty mattress which was agreed by FIRA, my point is "Customer Service" just does not exist. its 11 days since my last email to them. to that you get a reply - "Really sorry due to current high volumes it may take a little longer than normal for us to answer your e mail or call you back" THIS IS THIER NORMAL its always like that, this is either a lie or they have thousands of complaints to deal with. also if you ring the number on their email 03332226800 you are told the number is redundant. Is the CEO aware of this gross incompetence ? The star rating is less than poor.

waited 4 weeks for delivery of 2 new mattresses , was told on the day of delivery one of the mattresses they did not have in stock , have to wait another week for delivery , to top it all we booked to have our old mattresses removed paid the 30 pound , was told on the day they had not received the order to take old mattresses, a total mickey mouse firm , phoned customer sevices , no hint of any recompence for the shambles , deal with this mickey mouse firm at your peril ;;

We will never use this company again. We are still trying to get our money back. We have ordered a double mattress from Bensons, which we cancelled at point of delivery as it did not fit but refund is refused by Bensons for Beds. At point of purchase, apart from the receipt, we have not received any other documentation, such as Terms & Conditions, Measuring and Customer pack from Bensons. We are aware that this should have happened as the delivery man has informed us. We have checked Bensons T&Cs online, which confirms cancellation and refunds within 14 days of returning item. It is unclear what process they expected us to follow for cancellation though as talking to Customer Services, refund was not an option they offered to us at all because we bought the mattress in one of their shops. So I guess different T&Cs which we still don’t have sight of as it does not seem to be published anywhere. Bensons has attempted to deliver the mattress in September, during which it became apparent that we have been misadvised about the possibility to deliver the mattress to our house. The delivery man has informed us that we need to sign a waiver to get the mattress delivered as the mattress is too big and they will have to bend the mattress. The delivery man also stated that if we sign the waver we will fall out of refund as well as exchange policy would we experience any issues with the mattress later on. We have discussed the matter with the delivery man, as during the purchase we have specifically asked the sales person if the mattress can be delivered as we live in a cottage with a narrow staircase. We were reassured that the delivery man is trained and they can deliver the mattress to the specified size. The delivery man informed us that this happens all the time and they are facing clients with similar issues at point of delivery. As we were not happy, we have not signed the waver and we have refused to take the goods. We have asked for confirmation of the refusal and cancellation from the delivery man but we were told that we need to call Customer Services as they are the only ones who can confirm cancellation and refund. However, we were reassured that as the mattress is taken back to the depot it is standard procedure. We have rung Customer Services at which point we were told that they will not refund our mattress. They have offered us a replacement option with an additional 20% charge or they advised that we can seek independent legal representation. We have considered the alternative product offered however as the product that they offered was not fit for purpose and would have created the same delivery issue, we have asked for a refund. They have repeatedly refused. Consequently, we have contacted American Express on the same day of attempted delivery to open a dispute case and get our money back. American Express is still working on the case but it is not resolved as they are awaiting response from Bensons and asking us for Bensons cancellation policy document, which we never received. We will see what outcome we get. However, we want to report Bensons for Beds and flag with potential customer in the future the issues we are experiencing as it is disgusting that they can defraud someone of over £500 without any consequences.

My mother waited 4weeks for her bed,the customer service at the Liverpool monument square store was awful, the store manager was uncaring and incompetent at best. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BENSONS IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

Absolutely horrendous experience with this company, in particular the customer service department and Ian at Waterlooville who couldn’t care less and actually laughed down the phone. I’m in the process of contacting the local paper, ombudsman and watchdog to report them. Don’t fall for the sales tactics- they delivered a bed that wouldn’t fit up the stairs and then said we had to pay 20% on a £2000 sale to return it. No one at customer service would escalate it as ‘it’s in the T’s & C’s.’ We were sold a bed and said that it was a tight fit- no one ever mentioned this. In fact, I’m amazed it’s not against the law. I’m going to fight it but please avoid at all costs. Worst experience ever. Mid-sold by Mark Of Waterlooville branch.

Benson beds have the worst customer services. Paying 20% to cancel a product after 4 days of payment. And the staff are disgusting and rude.

Bought an igel Mattress..it is very very hot. Much hotter than old mattress of mattress in spare room we are now sleeping in. Contacted bensons less than 24 hour after bed arrived. They don't want to know. Store advises us they cannot deal with complaints and we must phone customer services. After 65 minutes waiting to get through they were not interested simply dictating that we could not return it unless we wanted to pay 20% of the overall price and would not be allowed to exchange the mattress until we have slept on it for 40 days. After repeatedly requesting to speak to a manager the customer services rep simply put the phone down. They have no interest in helping or resolving problems once they have your money and this is one of the most appalling customer service experiences I have ever had. The igel is clearly not temperature controlling as the marketing would suggest but in fact a particularly hot memory foam mattress. We went to the store advising that the only reason we were replacing our existing mattress was because we wanted to call the one and this is what they recommended. As far as I'm concerned they have misled us and mis-sold us an inappropriate product that does not reflect what we asked for.

The Nottingham store staff were great which fills you with optimism, so I paid in full. However the customer services team (cst) were appalling. Read the previous reviews, I can identify with lots of the one star reviews but as I’m totally weary of Bensons, I won’t spend any more of my time in cataloguing the ongoing problems and the the totally incompetent and rude service I received, at my own expense, from cst. The mattress was never found, so it never arrived, I bought a similar mattress from a local company, £100 cheaper, a perfect purchase and delivery experience. Bensons Nottingham manager gave me a full refund on 20/11/18, and he was a true professional. Why oh why do customers review the sales service before receiving the goods? This leads to a misleading overall score, which dupes new and potential customers

Worst customer service ever! The manager in the Tottenham court road branch is rude and treated me (a customer who ordered 800 pound products) with his bad attitude. I was assured that I could arrange the delivery date (the sales associate even said “you can move the deliver date to whenever you want”) so I ordered my bed frame and mattress two months in advance. However when i ask for a reschedule he said it’s not possible with an awful attitude. I told him this isn’t like what I was told and he said “we don’t have to tell you everything upfront” and I can feel free to cancel but he’s gonna charge me 20%. Throughout the whole process he was rude and indifferent to a customers need. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE SH*T. Bensons for Beds treat their customer as if they owe them money. In the end I said their customer service was very disappointing and he answered “there is nothing we need to apologize for. How is our service disappointing.” I was so speechless as I’ve never encountered such horrible shopping experience. AVOID AT ALL COST. Benson for Beds should be ashamed for having such employee.

We ordered bunk beds and advised we could get under bed storage for them. We had to stay in to take delivery for the beds. Bensons should have delivered the under bed storage at the same time but we had to stay in again to receive those. We had Servico to assemble the units. They found that the under bed storage would not fit and there was a deep scratch on the foot board on the top bunk bed. We had to wait in yet again for the under bed storage to be collected. We had to wait in another time for the replacement part for damaged foot board. Another visit was planned for Servico to come and fit it. When they turned up and opened the package - the piece required wasnt enclosed! On each of these occasions we had to phone up Customer Services which we were waiting to speak to an adviser for periods from 20 minutes to 45 minutes. We have ended up keeping the bunk beds as they are as we have had enough of being let down and staying in for further times. Bensons have given us a small amount of compensation which doesnt cover the phone calls and lost days. I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy anything from Bensons as once they have had your money they arent interested in their customer care

Like Mr James Burrows, we too ordered a memory foam mattress which after 2 days showed signs of severe sagging. We were told it was normal settlement ! after several months it was worse and again Bensons sent out their inspector who looked at our frame and declared that the springs were too far apart to support the mattress. Admittedly this a beast of a mattress is heavier than the sealy orthopedic ones we had over 20 years, but apparently Bensons declare this as accidental damage and for the price we paid, would have expected batter from them and not have more expense to pay our own inspector ! would never buy anything there ever again

I worked for BENSON for many years i left last year because i was not getting paid my zone allowance as i was told verbally I kept from April untill in September i got paid half. Still kept chasing with HR i was told i need to speak to the regional Manager but i was told he has done the form but the Divisional is stopping my payments bollocks. Because sometimes the face don't fit in than you don't win. I was going to take it further but i gave it and said to HR i bwleive3in karma one day the day divisional will need it to taxi home. I heard he was kicked out i was happy to hear that but low basic 10 500 they show you on pay slip they are paying mini mum living wage but they take it away fron your COMMISSION. And there are some people work extra hours for nothing

Everything went wrong!!! Delivery one day late and not advised. When full bedroom suite was delivered almost everything was damaged. Delivery was undertaken by one man, when a number of the items were clearly marked as "two man lift", which was nothing short of dangerous. Then had to wait almost three and a half months for delivery of replacement items!! Customer services don't talk to customer relations so we received numerous calls for partial replacement part deliveries when I explicitly stated that everything should be delivered at one time. Customer service overall is shambolic and I will never, whilst I have breath in my body, buy from this company again!!! I am also reporting Bensons for Beds to the Health & Safety Executive for breaching manual handling regulations and putting their staff at risk, in my opinion.

15.11.2018 To continue my saga about Bensons, today I received a letter from them informing me that they were not accepting the goods that I had returned, listing the items individually, and stating that I needed to pick them up from the store. ( I think this company have gone out of their way to recruit dumbclucks ) because they have clearly accepted them and in perfect condition, they have made my day today, I now feel that the dynamics of this situation are changing in my favour, this has been such a idiotic abuse of me as a customer and abuse of regulations of sales that it could be a comedy, having said that the whole process has been a farce. Creation Finance are linked to Bensons they have not been very helpful but then again they all pee in the same pot, both these companies are in breach of section 75 of the Consumers Credit Act, now to the Post Office whose credit card I used as a deposit for Bensons, from the day of delivery from Bensons being 21.12.2017 things were wrong and I have been fighting every since for a solution. Bensons would not communicate with me up until recently so I requested that that the PO reclaim the refund, they did this and then without my permission they repaid the £500 back to Bensons and gave some kind of futile reason, this company have also breached section 75 of the Consumers Credit Act this credit card service is funded by the Bank of Ireland, I have also complained to them and no reply, simply ignorant. I complained to the PO on line, they sent my complaint to the customer services team who have ruled against me and supported the chargeback team and Bensons, they are idiots though because they gave me the last link to complete the chain of evidence that I now have. Funnily enough I have had 2 phone calls today within the last hour from the PO customer service team, they have informed me that they have escalated my case and have decided to reclaim the £500 and offered £250 compensation, I have accepted it because I am weary with it all. I would not recommend the PO credit card. So for anyone out there who may read this the moral is stick with it, use all of your resources and give any company the run around like they give you. The biggest issue in this country today is how poor all services are and how poor it is to make contact, nobody wants to talk anymore, because they cannot deal with anybody that has some functioning grey matter, I include departments like Citizens Advice/ Trading Standards and Ombudsman
