Great service from the first visit to the delivery day. Me and my partner visited the branch in Kingston upon Thames where the Manager Ornella Franzese gave us a 5* customer service from the beginning. Ornella was so attentive and helpful yet she was never pushy and we felt she directed us to the best possible solution for us. I would strongly recommend Bensons for Beds to all my family and friends.

very bad customer srevice at romford store, when they have to sell something they very nice and sweet.they misguide you about product and not honest and wrong information. as soon as you pay money there attitude change and they so horrible to even talk. we had i gel matresss avoid it.its get too hot and when called no luck.the money they charge is ridculous. just a fraud company with bad customer service. before they sell you they excellent but after they very bad at the store, the same staff shout at you and when called head offcie they just read terms and condition no help. products not fit for purpose. they say 40 nights guarntee you buy such expensive prodcut but then they send some man who come and stay less than 3 minutes and say nothing wrong with matress so they so we cant do anythignour engineer said no faults.we had igel matressw hich supoosoed to regulate temperature it does the opposite it makes the matress burning hot.so avoid them at all. 40 nights is only good if you willing to loose 10% plus you have to buy the same price prodcut they wont do refund or return either.

We purchased the superking legend multimedia bed with igel mattress and 2 pillows in September 2018. First just the mattress and pillows turn up Jan 2019, no trace of the bed. Then 2 weeks later the whole order turns up. Boxes damaged mattress open and stained. Amp didn't work so we had no sound from the bed just from the TV. Plastic slat holders were broken and the plug for the TV doesn't fit through the hole to keep the wire away from the mechanism in the foot of the bed. The wire for the TV is hardwired into the back of the TV and the plug has a no return security screw, once is fitted in the factory it cannot be undone. The only way to use the TV is to slide the plug and wire down the side of the baseplate which pinches the wire when the TV moves up and down. This has already started pinching the wire which will end up sparking and cause a fire. Benson's sent an engineer out for the amp and then another engineer for the TV as 'they can only deal with one problem at a time' the engineer admitted there was a fault yet we received a letter from Benson's saying no fault found. They now will not speak to us on the phone and have deleted our comments and videos off their Facebook page, they have also blocked us from their social media. We have opened a case with reading standards and the furniture ombudsman so we now sit and wait. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

After waiting 8 weeks for our bedroom furniture to arrive and having a further weeks delay added to it found that a side panel to the wardrobe is not drilled for cam studs or door hinges only to be advised that I should have paid for a fitter to install the items. We now have to store all the items in our garage and leave the car on the drive which invalidates our car insurance or leave the furniture on the back garden ready to be collected but if its damaged its our fault and would be liable for the cost adding to this a replacement part will take twelve weeks to get is an absolute joke.

Benson for beds worst company ever!!! do not buy anything from them.We returned a high sleeper and now they say that we did not give back all the parts and they do not refund our 900 pounds !!! They say it is our fault...

The top panel of my wardrobe broke which lead to it being unstable and unsafe to use. In response to this I had a technician from Servico come out to look at the wardrobe and eventually a top panel replacement was ordered and fitted. When the technicians came, the process was very time consuming and did cause a lot of hassle, such as no replacement screws were send with the replacement panel. Furthermore, regrettably, the very next day the wardrobe broke again in the exact same place! It is very clear the sliding draws are too heavy for the top panel. There is nothing to secure the top panel and hold it in place which had led to the same issue. I am extremely disappointed with the product and very frustrated about this situation. When I contacted Bensons again they responded with Bensons for beds will not be able to offer any more replacement parts as the first build (by benson) was not done correctly and then when the techician came out to replace the part they had sent he failed to fit these parts because they were not available (and didn’t say anything! RIDICULOUS!!

Avoid this company at all costs. Paid nearly £1,000 at the Exeter store for a new bed. The bed arrived and it was much firmer (it was uncomfortable)than the one we tried in the shop, plus the mattress overhung the base. The delivery men left a black oil type mark on the headboard and the base. I rang the store only to be told that I would have to ring customer services. I have rung the number they gave me lots, but nobody ever answers the phone. We are now stuck with a bed that is uncomfortable and stained, and no help whatsoever. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Online shopping The issue that I have experienced was: Ordered online quoted 26/4/19 delivery, I have taken a day off work for the delivery and put all my clothes in boxes and bags ready to move. 6:59am on 26/4/19 I received a call to state the item will be delivered between 8-1pm, around 11am the delivery arrive 2 men brought a box in them checked paperwork and said wrong one, checked the van my item was not on the van. Driver said 3 other vans out in the area he will call them and see if my item is on their vans and if so redeliver the item today. They advised me also to call customer services which I did, a guy said he was a senior team member and he would phone the warehouse he put me on hold and came back to advise I need to wait for all the vans to come back to depot and then they will call me to rearrange the delivery, I said I wanted to make an official complaint and was advised to write to the furniture ombudsman!!! More stress and wasted time for me. As you can tell, taking time off work then being told conflicting information and the item not even being on the van — all in all a very poor experience with a catalogue of errors. I would like a written response and once I receive this I will decide where to take the complaint next. It occurred on: 26/04/2019 This meant that Time off work for no reason Stress Lack of management Having to now write and complain Telephone calls No accountability Conflicting information Compensation and an explanation I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply back via this email account. Now...... Wednesday 1st May still no outcome, still no wardrobe, still no manager called me back about my complaint re no item and/or the lack of service side. I spoke to a senior guy today u think he said his name was Ash, he promised to call me back one way or another by the end of business today.... guess what !!!! It’s now 10:03pm I don’t think he is calling me back yet again...... Both the item not being delivered and now the unacceptable service levels I am at a loss as to who to take this too- I have contacted the furniture ombudsman but they advise I have to give 30 days or an acceptable time for you to respond. Totally disappointed and disgusted

Please find an alternative to this horrific company. I've order 4 zip and link beds on 6th January this year at £3700. The sequence of failed deliveries and wrong items has been farcical. Its now the end of April and I'm facing another 6 week wait for headboards that have been delivered incorrectly (twice already). I've emailed customer service with a full list of misdemeanours and I've gone back and sat in front of the store manager from where I purchased the beds and requested senior management to get involved. As yet I'm still waiting for a reply or a call. everything that could have gone wrong with the service has gone wrong. They are an absolute nightmare. Take head!

Benson got beds delivered me a faulty bed. There customer service is the worst that I’ve ever experienced. I have called for hours at a time and got no response. I have emailed time and time again and get no response. I remain with a faulty bed. I would never recommend anybody get a bed from this company and I will Continue to share my experience with others to prevent them from falling into the same trap. Luckily I had six months interest free finance and consumer direct have advised me to claim from the finance for the damage/loss which I have done. My bed was delivered in January and I have not had any response from benson for beds. I have sent letters also. I have followed advice from consumer direct/Trading Standards

I have purchased a few things from bensons for beds in new cross gate and now waiting for a new mattress..I have to say the staff there are really nice helpful people. I was in the store today and Paula the sales manager phoned customer services and sorted out my problem on re selecting a new mattress..they all have been helpful and really nice to speak too...thanks for all your help guys...👍👍👍SM...and MD....

First of all I have to state for the record that the staff and service at the store in Oldham were excellent, in particular Aga. However, before we decided to purchase the bed from Bensons, we had read the reviews, and they were mostly poor with regards to the delivery and the after customer service side of the experience. However, we had decided on an Ottoman super king size bed with separate mattersses, which we found at Bensons for the right price. So, we decided to take a chance. We were re-decorating the whole bedroom, so the 4 weeks delivery time did not affect our decision. The bed was delivered on time and the delivery men installed it. The first thing that went wrong was that one of the divans did not have any castors or bed headboard fixings with it, so they could only install one side. I contacted customer services straight away, but it took a week to deliver the replacement castors. The package we received contained 12 castors, when we only required 4 and no extra headboard fixing screws. I had paid for the bed to be installed and bolted together, but I ended up doing the other half myself. To make matters worse, when we removed the corner edge protections from the mattresses, we discovered that they were different firmness ratings. I spoke to the store immediately, and they advised me to email customer services and send photos of the mattress labels, which I did. I followed that up with a phone call as well, only to be told that the replacement mattress would be 3 to 4 weeks delivery. My complaint is not with the store, the product or indeed customer service staff, all of which were contactable and did what they could, when they said they would. My complaint is with the quality control aspect of the whole system. If these beds are made to order, what idiot is not putting the bag of castors and fixings in each consignment, and what other incompetent is not checking each delivery against the order, either when it is dispatched from the manufacturers, or received at Bensons delivery depot, and before it is delivered to the customer? I run a successful business, and sevice is the key. It's not rocket science to get it right. It's attention to detail and employing inteligent people, with a brain. In conclusion, I will be seaking some form of compensation for the overall inconvenience.

On the morning of the day of delivery we had to call them and be told that the bed wasnt actually being delivered anymore that day. Had to beg for a loan bed so didnt have to sleep on the floor for 10 days. Second delivery, 10 days later, came incomplete -just missing LITERALLY HALF OF THE BED! Had enough at this point so decided to cancel the order as we didnt want to give money to such an incompetent, useless company. However, our deposit has been retained due to the loan bed so now we have to wait until we have enough cash to put down another deposit on another bed before getting the deposit for this one back. The customer service guy was rude, nonchalant and unhelpful. Even condensending at times. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! The sooner they go out of business the better.

We bought a bed on 27th of December 2018, which was suppose to arrived on March 23rd, but arrived on 30th March that too without a head board. We were told to contact customer service and arrange a re-delivery for headboard. After several attempts of calling and waiting for our call to be answered, we managed to speak to customer service. They then told us that they can only deliver the head board on 29th April 2019. Keeping in mind that we are a working couple and don’t have enough time to go again and choose another company’s store for beds, we gave a go and accepted the delivery date of 29th April. We also went to store again to see if we can get any kind of assistance. But we received an answer saying that the distribution is outsourced and they have no control over it. They can only do is write notes in the delivery profile. Now yesterday my wife received a call from customer service and they said there is some discrepancy at their end and it will now be delivered on 7th May. Looking at the above 6 months journey with Benson for Beds which has left us without a bed in our new apartment, we have now decided to cancel our order and buy from some one else.

ordered new bed and mattress and additional mattress for son in march,delivery date 27/04/19. Had a text on 26/04/19 confirming delivery 27/04/19 between 12 pm and 6 pm. 2 hours later i get a phone call from store saying mattress out of stock??? delivery rearranged for 03/05/19 . my question is how can a mattress be delivered on 27/04 then 2 hours later be out of stock? sounds like sharp practices or someone is selling other peoples orders !! be good to hear benson side of it but i doubt it. Next update 03/05/19

They sell inferior quality products and designed customer service to frustrate you into giving up and settle with the rubbish you bought from them, average waiting time is 45mins before you can speak to anyone, not even store managers can get a quick call in. I bought a sofabed from Bensons For Beds, after only a month's use it broke, I went back to the shop and was told that the model has been discontinued and if I can't find anything I like, a refund would be given. I am waiting for three months now to get my refund after they have picked up the rubbish they sold to me in the first place. Calls to customer service is designed to frustrate callers, they never transfer calls and you get a different story every time and they even pulled a Hilary Clinton on me, one of their agents sent a message to their finance department to get an update and when I called back, i was told she no longer works there and she had used her private email to contact the finance department and there was no way to know the outcome of her investigation so the process has to start all over. They use phony names like Taz, Zed, Billie Jean etc. This is the worst people ever to buy from, do not even try it, it will be the worst mistake you make. Every time I go back to the shop in Catford to ask for my refund, there is always a disgruntled customer there with the same problem like me. I am still waiting to get my refund

Placed an order in December for wardrobe had it delivered on time but side panel was missing so contacted customer service and was told they will look in warehouse for it but since they couldn’t find it they had to arrange a new set of panels to be sent by manufacturer still no sign so called up today to be told I had to reorder or request a refund for the wardrobe and wait another 4 weeks so I decided to ask for refund and also asked for good Will gesture for all the inconvenience and was told because I’m cancelling the order they won’t offer goodwill gesture which is ridiculous I had to wait 4 months for wardrobe I will never recommend benson for bed to anyone please avoid them they mess you about. Please before purchasing anything do check online for reviews before ordering anything I wish I did.

Delivery date arrived & confirmed twice, never turned up - so that cost us both a day off work. They never even contacted us to advise the delivery wasn’t being made. The bed, was so excited to treat myself to a 2k bed. How disappointing, the bed is not like the one in the showroom. It is not springy or comfortable. After 2 days dips appeared where we sleep with a ledge running down the middle. I cannot turn over in bed as I roll down the middle. Both had backache since the bed arrived. Reported in store after 10 days, sent numerous emails no reply. At day 25 I rang Bensons & spent 2 hours waiting for them to answer (it’s not a free call either). A technician has been at 32 days & confirmed the bed is dipping where we sleep by 3cm. They consider this normal, that’s not what I call normal? I have emailed Bensons a formal complaint, have asked them the next steps, asked about an independent survey, explained about my back ache & received absolutely no reply! Shocking service, don’t know how this company is in business! Absolutely gutted as we had waited a long time to be able to afford this bed. Do not buy anything from here! Do not recommend. They don’t even deserve 1 star review. Plus my expensive duvet did not come in the correct packaging & was all open!

Worst customer service and the company I've ever dealt with. I bought few bedside tables, both of them been delivered damaged. After evaluation by arranged person, both cabinets have been collected, but receive refund for 1 item only, as according to them, they've collected only 1 item. Chasimg up for nearly 1 month. Would recommend to avoid that company!

Absolutely furious with the 'customer service' I had today after a 1 hour wait on the phone.. The woman I spoke to said that they dont have a complaints procedure, there is no one else I can speak to other than her. She was incredibly rude to me, advising me to go to the ombudsman if I'm not happy and the reason I want to speak to someone more senior is because I am "not getting my own way!" The issues I had are very serious with regards to their non compliant credit agreements.First of all the credit agreement company has some serious compliance issues that I will be taking up. I complained that I was extremely disappointed that Bensons for Beds are associated with such an unrreputable company who appear to charge for providing statements when it is the consumers right to these, free of charge. Also their concealment of the ombudsman's details which is a mandatory requirement. For this woman to say there is nothing wrong with this finance company or its documentation is incredible bearing in mind the numerous complaints already published. This team leader had no qualities of someone who leads in customer service and should be up for review. People like this are bringing the company down.. she has absolutely no ability to resolve complaints, just incite anger and fuel a worse situation.
