5 year warranty not worth the paper it’s written on. Admitted my mattress had issues but still wanted me to get an independent assessor and pay up to £100 to prove - even after submitting 11 photographs clearly showing fault. I will continue to prop up the subsided mattress with pillows underneath, then will buy one from elsewhere. Take my advice, go elsewhere.

Ordered and paid for 2x divan beds with mattresses this morning, only to be told that there was a pricing error and I could pay another £1750 or have a refund in 3-5 working days. No apology, no discount offered. Absolutely disgraceful. I would never touch this company again.

I bought an adjustable bed in october 2019. Everything was fine until march 2020 when the adjustable part broke down. I expected a speedy repair but i got nothing.i sent numerous messages by email and i telephoned customer services. It took one and a half hours to get an answer who promptly said i was not the account holder so she could not help. I was furious at that stage but eventually she agreed to call my wife at work and get permission for me to complain. This was obviously given. I explained what had happened but the i was told to photograph what was wrong. I explained i was a wheelchair user and could not manage to photograph under the bed. This was accepted. However its now nearly august some six months without my adjustable bed and i find the latest excuse of Fermanac the supplier is on holiday and cant be contacted until the 10th august. An aquatance tells me that furmanac have also gone out of business so i probably have no luck there. My family came yesterday and took the bed up so i could see what was wrong and quite frankly there are just wooden slats and wooden pegs for legs. The mechanism is just plastic rubbish that snapped and broken in use, not by any impact. It’s so flimsy it’s ridiculous and obviously not fit for purpose. I now want a full refund

Customers should not be told their product is covered for 5 years in my instance against any defects when in fact it's 0nly 6 after that it's down to customer to get a report and repair and pay for it then send it to Benson customer services who will if your lucky reimburse you but when asked how long that would take no answer was available i will never purchase another thing from them

Customer service useless, not professional and not even worth to ring them and wait on the line, as they won't solve the issue. Do not buy anything there.

Awful experience. 3 months waiting, ended in failure to deliver and finally a refund !!!! Terrible “service” zero communication or customer service. Will NEVER recommend

Bensons for Beds lost our mattress which we purchased during a sale weekend. After three weeks and numerous calls to customer services (5hrs) Bensons said we could reorder the same mattress but we would need to pay the price difference of £600!!

My sons girlfriend bought a bed, which was delivered, minus the mattress, which she ordered at the same time, after numerous phone calls and being left waiting for 25 minutes more than once, still no mattress. She has been sleeping on hef bedroom floor for nearly a week and nobody seems to care. I have advised her to go to ths citizens advice as this is beyond a joke, she has to go to work after numerous nights without sleep.

Bensons for Beds has indeed gone into administration but wait... here's Bensons for Beds Retail Limited. Finally after 7 months of battling with this disgusting retailer, I finally got a refund for a faulty mattress yesterday (22 July 2020). Apparently it takes 48 hours for the money to appear, so I will be watching carefully and if the money does not appear, hundreds of leaflets will be distributed all over town and I will ensure Bensons For Beds Retail (which is the new company trading name) will lose more business than they ever thought possible. The products are awful nasty cheap (not cheap actually, very overpriced indeed) rubbish. Heed the warnings from all these poor people who have had the misfortune to spend good money with this company (the old one!) Chances are they will never see their money returned as all the debts and outstanding credit lines are now the responsibility of Price Waterhouse Coopers. Be warned: NEVER SHOP AT BENSONS FOR BEDS.

Absolutely shocking customer service. I was supposed to take delivery of £1,150 bed on 27th March. I am still sleeping on the floor. Had all the excuses of Covid-19. Lost the base in the warehouse. Text to say delivering following day. then 5 mins later email to say been problem and not delivering will be in touch. Waiting on phone line to customer services over 1 hr each time. Speak to customer service the say manager will phone you back. but they dont. Got a text 3rd July to say delivery. Then the base unit in a different location will be 7 days. Text on 9th July saying still dealing with it. Rang today. They say they have my bed but cant deliver till 27th August. Unacceptable, asked to speak to supervisor. No one available they will ring me back. I said on website it says 3 weeks delivery if I placed a new order? Had my money where is it. I asked to cancel, they said they would email store and someone would contact me. Unacceptable. Heard they charge 10%-20% for cancellation. Unacceptable. You had my money where are my goods. So frustrating. AND AM SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR!!!!!!!!!

Left a review before but wanted to update. Again, I wish I could leave negative stars. A quick catch up: Benson's accused us of not being home when the delivery man arrived and missing the delivery, we received a message at noon that he was to arrive at 7am that morning (5hours before we got said message) and we were asleep at that time on the floor of the living room just behind the front door (we had no bed) There was no knock on the door (we would have heard it as we were sleeping around a metre away from the front door), no message in advance at all and a redelivery charge of £20. We called to explain the situation and weren't believed by a single person representing Benson's (must have been around 5-7 different people including the manager in Bicester we were passed back and forth to and from as no one would understand or be professional and just got very offended and called us liars). This was after being assured our bed, bedside tables and wardrobe would be delivered. Our wardrobe was delivered around a month later and turned out to be extremely poor quality and after very light, gentle use is already broken (the sides are damaged from putting it together, the mirror along the doors is distorted and the doors are stuck open). On the bed front, we sent an email to the regional manager after realising speaking with the numbskulls beneath him was a lost cause and he apologised profusely and assured us that we would get the bed after all and a full refund as a gesture of good will and apology. Problems finally solved, right? Wrong. Six months later and we are still sleeping on the floor in the living room and we have been told we will now receive the bed in two months and still haven't seen a penny back on the refund front. The wardrobe is broken and we will be likely moving house around 3 months after we receive the bed so will probably donate it to charity anyway. The year it was supposed to make us comfortable in our temporary living house can now only be used for a maximum of 3 months, if it's even delivered at all. Also we spent around £1700 so it seems we have lost that as well, on top of not recieving our products and the only one we did receive being of terrible, cheap quality. I cannot, for the life of me, recommend Benson's to anyone. Unless a hobby of yours is to give large sums of money away to selfish frauds who won't give you the product you bought in return. Or a refund. In fact, the only other thing we got from them was a delivery charge of £20 (in which the furniture never even got delivered). Oh, did I mention they have a 20% cancellation fee? Conclusion: We paid around £1700 which we never saw again, was charged £20 for redelivery which never happened, was insulted and shouted at by staff, and if we want to cancel the furniture we never received we have to pay an extra £300 on top of that. And we got one sh*tty wardrobe that's already broken. Clearly Benson's and their staff just taking advantage of two 18 year olds that are moving into their first house together and don't have enough experience to realise this was all a money-grabbing scheme of injustice and trying to build their future. This set us back quite a lot of money and with lockdown we haven't been making much due to the nature of our jobs, we are now struggling with little to no money and could really do with the refund they promised us. But they clearly don't care. So yeah. Awesome.

We bought our bed in February, had the delivery date changed several times by Bensons, lost the bed, given our bed to another customer, wasn't on the lorry when it was to be delivered, the bed frame is here, but we don't have the mattress. etc. Went into the store and asked for a refund, they said they would have to take a 20% cancellation fee (That would be £250-£300) or wait till the 30th July for the bed. That was a two-month wait! Now we've been chasing and asking for a confirmation of delivery, they said the warehouse cannot locate our goods, so they have reordered it. So that will be another 3-4 month wait. Shocking customer service, staff don't care and tell you there is nothing they can do. Taken our money, but no bed. We will be taking legal advice and probably end up taking Bensons to small claims court. I will be giving Bensons negative reviews on every social media platform.

Absolutely diabolical company and service. Never ever again!! Please avoid people, do not waste your hard earned money on them!! Forget about warranties and their customer service is an absolute joke! Their mattress 'specialist' from homeserve (avoid these too as they are employed by bfb) said that our mattress sagged because it was too big for 2 people sleeping on it (we have super king)! Beyond ridiculous! Their staff don't even know where the mattresses are manufactured which leads me to believe they are bought by a container load from China. Cheap, unusable knock offs, matresses that sag up to 4 inches in the first couple of weeks. AVOID!

Bensons for beds are absolutely shocking, there customer services are disguting. We have had 2 faulty mattresses and now a third and they have said they won't take this further when they sent an engineer out and he said its due to settlement. Hardly settlement when your falling out of bed as the mattress has dropped and there's no support leaving us with sleepless nights and bad backs after spending £1200 on a mattress. Would never recommend this company to anyone when buying a mattress

Complained that our bespoke mattress was sagging badly after just 6 months. Been told that after 6 months it is the customers responsibility to pay for an independent inspection (but it has to be an inspector Bensons approve...not biased then!). If the inspection agrees with us then Bensons will reimburse the cost of the inspection, if they don’t, no new mattress and even more money wasted. What a con. So much for the bouncy salesmen and promises of guarantees when they takes £1000’s pounds from us on a sale. If I could put no stars I would. I would hope that a really expensive mattress would last more than 6 months and at the very least Bensons would have the grace and dignity to take some responsibility and have a look as after care sales.....we live less than a mile from the showroom

I am self employed and provided services to bensons they owe me a lot of money for work carried out they say they went into liquidation on June 30th 2020 and very unlikely to get paid but they are trading under new management feel I have been ripped off worked for nothing beware if you buy anything from them you might not get your goods

Shockingly bad, worst company ever. Purchased new double bed for my 88 year old mother, bed was £800 , reduced to £700 some pillows thrown in, delivered wrong time, 7 a.m.! wrong day. The bed lasted 4 days before it sagged in the middle, my mothers about 8 stone weight. Contacted , took 3 weeks, a company "technician ( bona fide ) " idiot said there was nothing wrong with it. The are in the process of admin or new ownership, check them out and remove them from your buying list. They rally are the worst scumbags i've ever dealt with.

You do not stick to your delivery schedule. Don’t blame your suppliers as it is your reputation that now stinks! I want my money back as I feel I have been misled and robbed by a company that is just hanging on !!
