Stay away had a bad experience never will I shop there again and customer service is a disgrace.

I purchased some oak furniture Large crack in the wood The manager at the Altrincham store was a rude obnoxious individual . Saying "not my problem" . Raised a complaint at head Office Left me holding for 10 minutes. Then customer service took 30 minutes to take my complaint If it wasn't long enough I was informed that the area manager would deal with my complaint. 12/03/18 I'm still chasing that response. No response from the area manager or customer services...chased through emails. Still no response Called today . Catherine from customer services kept me on the line 33 mins to tell me no one could deal with it. They will chase and call me back tomorrow. They have been saying that for two weeks. Dispite 4 emails and numerous calls. I'm still waiting . It's now the 28/03/18. No response from this company. Disgracefull Consumer rights act 15. Within my rights Exchange or discount or refund . Non of which I have been offered I'm now going to go through the small claims court. What a complete joke of a company I will never purchase again from this company Reply quote B of Beds Reply from Bensons of beds am sorry for the delayed response and that you are not happy with the chest of drawers you purchased. I can see from the notes on your account that you collected the chest of drawers on 18/02/2018 and did not at that time discuss any damage to the furniture, you returned to store on 12/03/2018, 22 days later, to advise the chest of drawers was damaged. As you transported the chest of drawers any subsequent damage is your liability. I am really sorry you feel you need to escalate your case to a solicitor however I feel you may benefit from third party independent advise. I hope this clarifies our position. My experience of working in the retail sector . This has to be the worst complany I have ever dealt with.

At the point of ordering we were promised flexibility on delivery dates and told we could easily rearrange if not convenient, but foolishly agreed to a specific delivery date not knowing for sure we would be available to take delivery. The proposed delivery date wasn't convenient and when we tried to reschedule a few days before it was due to be delivered, we were offered a revised date over 3 weeks later or cancellation at an undisclosed additional cost. The store seemed incapable of co-ordinating anything with their warehouse, and Customer Services were no better. I would recommend you think very carefully about placing an order with Bensons unless you are happy to fit in around Bensons customer service style. In the end they agreed to do a weekend delivery for an additional charge, even though I had requested this twice previously and been told it was not possible. The goods arrived and were perfectly OK, but the process was not an enjoyable one.

Have made several complaints to Bensons about a mattress which has developed 2 body-shaped troughs, with large dips at hip position. The FIRA technician declared that, despite the fact that the mattress has been well maintained, there is a problem - just not a manufacturing fault. Naturally, Bensons deny that there is a problem and have even suggested that we should stop using it to make it last longer! They have said that we can get second opinion, but they have to pre-approve them and won't accept a report from a competitor. We were encouraged to upgrade to a more expensive mattress by the sale advisor - it has turned out to be made of cheap materials (low-grade memory foam) and certainly wasn't made to last 7 years! Would never deal with Bensons again. Can't understand how the reviews on "trustpilot" are so favourable.

Bought wardrobe with integral chest of drawers. The bifold wardrobe door does not open enough to be able to open drawers of the chest? We queried this before purchase and were assured a unit with a bias on one side would allow for this. After over 7 wks it arrived and and we assembled it and then found it was wrong and there isn't actually a 90cm set of drawers to fit at all. The salesman admitted his mistake and we asked to swap for 2 x 45cm drawer sets(1 in the bifold side & 1 in the single door side) as although far from perfect, would give us the drawer space needed and was the reason we chose that furniture. They said that's fine for an extra £129!!! We can't do any more you need to ring head office if you're not happy. Head office refused to solve it to our satisfaction even though it was their mistake and offered £50. We now have to wait another 7 wks to end up with half the drawer space promised in our original contract with them. The only good thing on all this is the delivery team who were first class. Four months in total of living in chaos. Thank you Bensons of Northampton

Customer service shocking attitude tried to arrange a different time slot to scheduled time given due to work commitments was told to cancel order after waiting for 3 weeks for beds to be delivered!!

We found a good range of beds in store and received excellent customer service with the manager being both friendly and informative. The bed frame we bought looks fab and the mattress feels great. The reason we decided on this particular mattress was because it won the Which magazine award in December. Both items were delivered on time and in perfect condition. We put the frame together in about an hour and it was pretty straight forward. Only had the bed and frame for about a week now and my teenage son loves it.

Enfield store sales team are amazing and have knowledge of all of their beds, however, the customer service department seem to just fob you off and don't really know what is going on. Faulty super king mattress arrived, was told to put it outside, they were going to collect so cancelled the collection as could not do without a bed, then told 4 - 6 week wait, they tried to send someone to collect the mattress a week later... NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON AND WHEN THE REPLACEMENT MATTRESS WILL ARRIVE

we ordered a bed which was delivered on time and we looked it over everything seemed ok at the time . Just lately we have noticed a sag in the mattress so we informed the shop who sent out an independent inspector to look at the bed. He found no fault with the bed but informed us that the bed was a SOFT mattress and we had ordered a medium. We informed the shop who said phone head office who then spoke to the supplier who then said as the amount of time that had lapsed they were not interested in ou complaint. I will not buy another bed from Bensons for beds

Purchased bed on Sunday, told to go back next day to sort finances, not ideal. paid £10 for pm delivery on the Thursday, took afternoon off work. No delivery, no proper explanation or apology from shop. Waited another week for delivery. Customer services suppose to call back, but haven't bother so far.......

Our £1400.00 bed and mattress was thrown off the van on to the sodden roadside. The delivery persons damaged the walls in our house, the bed was filthy, damaged and ripped. We had to take the day of work to try and resolve the issue. We were offered £50 Benson for Beds vouchers and a 4 week wait for a replacement. Absolutely shocking way to treat customers we are now seeking a resolution through our credit card company. Disgusting.

Whilst the choice of beds was pretty basic, we did find one adequate for a guest room. Customer service however was simply appalling. The bed was delivered to the house correctly on the day allocated, but they just left it in the room sealed in polythene and cardboard. A complete nightmare to get out on ones own -nearly had a hernia lifting it all on my own. Bedhead was supposed to be delivered a week later, but was delivered to the store 15 miles away for us to collect, Can't recommend Bensons and would buy elsewhere next time and recommend everyone else to do the same - A VERY UNHELPFUL COMPANY.

Everything went wrong with this Company. Late delivery, followed by no delivery, (the bed had been taken of the van because "somebody read the notes wrong!". )Delivery eventually came in 3 separate lots, for which I had to take 3 days off work. Rude Customer Services. Ordered bed assembly as my husband is disabled and was told it was £15. The guy who came to assemble the bed - who was actually the Manager of the store demanded £40 in cash. When I explained I did not have £40 as I was told it was £15 he refused to leave until I had taken the money out of my husbands wallet! I felt very very venerable as he was in my house at 6.30 at night with only my husband with Alzheimers with me. I have put a complaint in writing to their Customer Services and have been told the bed assembly was not part of the contract and they cannot take any action. This company is disgusting, I am taking them to the Furniture Ombudsman and will never under any circumstance buy from them again.

Dreadful customer service! Motor broke on bed specifically bought for someone who is very disabled. Kept promising to be fixed and 9 days later still waiting. They were at the mercy of the supplier of the new motor. Shambles.

Ordered a bed and mattress set from them it wasn't that expensive around £700.00 , 10 months later the mattress has sagged and is uncomfortable, their engineer came out and said it was normal wear and tear and there is nothing wrong with it customer service have basically gave me the finger too.... all in all great experience when you buy but you are on your own oh and the 5 year guarantee they put on the mattress is about as much use as a nuns t**s .... AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Ordered Bedroom furniture, that was delivered after 8 weeks, it came with faulty drawers, scratches on mirrored doors and chipped doors and missing rails. Have been trying to contact customer service for 48 hrs and not been able to speak to them. Local Store manager in Hedge End is highly unhelpful and rude and disconnected my call.

Really bad customer service at all points after our payment was made. Unfortunately we ordered the wrong size mattress - our mistake. However, we did not open the mattress and called them the same day to ask if we could swap for a larger and more expensive version. We were told there is a 20% fee, as they would not be able to sell the mattress "as new". Having worked in retail where we had similar policies - it is obvious that a completely unopened item can be sold as new, especially as it was literally 2 hours from delivery to phone call. I have been hung up on, live chat left and spoken to like they would be doing me a favour by charging me the 20% on top of the extra purchase cost. And about 3 hours on hold and in silly phone calls where everyone says "they would help if they could" - this clearly is not the case. I am appalled that in this day and age, such archaic policies exist and that customer service is not a priority. And if I had purchased it without seeing an example first or online, I would get the 14 days distance selling rule to send back. So they would take it then? Bizarre and terrible. I would never use them again, and would suggest that they employ customer service team members that don't patronise customers and talk to them like they are idiots. Edit: I have purchased a new mattress from a different company as would rather spend more money than acquiesce to their "favour"

We had a specific need to address and the lady who helped us met all our needs and made the process of purchasing the sofa bed very easy. The price was reasonable too.
