We have had our super king Arlington TV bed for 20 months, at the beginning of December 2019 we felt a bang and then noticed that the mattress was sinking into the middle, we had home serve out to look at it who came to the conclusion that the board underneath the mattress had become damp at some time and warped which had pulled out 2 of the screw inserts, he said that this would not be covered by the warranty and we should contact Bensons for beds to see if they would do anything. We went to our local Torquay store today and asked if it wasn't covered by the warranty could we purchase a new base board, we were told that Bensons do not purchase parts and the manufacturer will not deal with the public, I said so we are left with a broken bed that we cannot repair because we cannot purchase any parts, I told them how ridiculous it is that I can pay nearly £2000 for a bed and if it is damaged in anyway that is not covered by the warranty then I should just throw it away. I found this very frustrating and started to walk out, admittedly I did raise my voice slightly as I was leaving and proceeded to tell them what a ridiculous system this is, I was passed by which I now understand was the regional manager who wasn't interested in our problem only that I was speaking loudly, I was then out of the main door when he accused me of swearing at him and proceeded to get in my face, his face was approximately 2 inches away from mine, I asked him to get out of my face to which he said "what are you going to do about it"? at this point I pushed him backwards when he must have tripped on the threshold of the main door and ended up on the floor, the police were called and the rest is history. I realise I shouldn't have pushed him but in my defence he was acting in a threatening manor and he is the one that escalated the situation, if he had just let me go out the door I would have got in my car and gone, he is the one that chased me and confronted me, not the actions of a manager that should show some concern for a customers aggravations.

Absolutely disgusting!! Do NOT use Bensons! Purchased a bed and changed our mind - as I would have thought we all have a right to do however, it would appear we still MUST take delivery of said unwanted bed and then can cancel order when we pay for them to collect it and deduct a further 20% eh??? as usual there's no management to discuss this nonsense process with they'll be on the golf course and the organ grinder can't help?? mm maybe a TV complaints programme or newspapers may be interested in taking this up on my behalf? lets see?

Paid almost 1400 pounds for a TV bed.delivered on the correct date however the wrong foot part of the bed was delivered.called Benson's and told the correct part would be delivered in 7 to 10 days.it was never delivered and after numerous calls where we were fobbed off with 'its being chased up' we decided to cancel the whole order.was told it would be collected today but we got a text from the delivery company saying it would now be wednesday.we called the delivery company to be told Benson's had changed the date with no prior warning to us.we have lost wages taking the day off and will now lose more taking another day off.we have now spent a month on a mattress on the floor over Christmas and new year and dread trying to get our money back.will never deal with them again.

Bensons customer services and processes are atrocious! From what we’ve seen, a lot of their suppliers provide good quality furniture; however, when Bensons take over it all falls apart (literally). Our furniture had to be reordered three times, due to damage caused by Bensons when they took possession from their suppliers.. Took more than 10 months to complete our order! There are a lot of better companies out there to order from; avoid Bensons at all costs..

This page is full of negative reviews regarding Bensons customer service and their ways with dealing with complaints. After reading these reviews and knowing we had a faulty mattress i was very worried about how our complaint would be dealt with. I called Bensons regarding our 1 & half year old mattress as there was a large dip in one side of the mattress. I was first shocked as i was told as the mattress was over 6 months old we would have to pay £48 for an independent inspection from Homeserve to come and deem if it’s a manufacture fault. Right then i was extremely worried because of these reviews that Homeserve would tell us that it wasn’t and we would have to fork out another lot of money we quite frankly don’t have for a mattress when we knew it was faulty. My partner arranged for the inspection anyway as something needed to be done. The guy came and within seconds of seeing the mattress saw it was in fact faulty, he carried out the necessary tests anyway to complete his report - just for reference Homeserve are COMPLETELY independent. After this we called Bensons who told us we needed to forward on our report to them, we did this and they then issued us with a reselection code, not only this but they refunded us the £48 for inspection. We then went in the store and reselected a mattress which has been delivered to us with a new 5 year warranty. I understand that many people won’t have had a good experience, but i have, and i wanted to share it so that people are aware there are some who get a good outcome. I have to give this 5 stars because i have had such a positive experience throughout this complaint

6 months after our purchase we have an ottoman bed that we can't use because the hydraulic arm has come away from the base. Confirmed as a manufacturing defect the earliest they can send a replacement is 4th February. Not acceptable but there is nothing we can do! During this whole process I was very concerned when one of the customer advisers asked if they could have my credit card details to confirm that I was the account holder - before they could process the replacement. Surely they don't have this information available on their screens?

We concider Benson Bed, are the most horrendous company, had bed delivery, mattress damaged, delivery men said that we had to contact customer services! Even though they where still stood looking at the mattress,! They left took 3/4 of an hour to get through to be told we would have to wait 4/6 weeks for a replacement, heard nothing after 6 weeks rang again took 40 minutes yet again to get through to be told they had rang 2 weeks before which was a huge lie as we had not had any calls from them to say replacement in, complained big time to be kffered£60 in vouchers or £30 in cash which I concidered to be a cop out but accept cash, BUT HEY HO HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED IT!!!!!!! NEARLY 5WEEKS ON, RSNG TO QUERYING THE FACT TO BE TOLD THAT THE DEPARTMENT DEALING WITH IT WHERE VERY BUSY???????? ITS NOW ANOTHER 2 WEEKS ON STILL NO REFUND????? REALLY RUBBISH SERVICE FROM A DISFUNCTAL COMPANY, WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN, AND IF DEPARTMENT DEALING WITH REFUNDS IS THAT BUSY, IT SUMS UP WHAT THEY ARE LIKE AS A COMPANY!!!!!!

Still no delivery date .given they have our money and we have a damaged bed.Customer services worst ever with some woman LYNN Who refused to pass us to a manager. Spoke to our local shop riverside Warrington. BEN manager again got no where they say ring customer service they will put a manager on!!!!! Oh I didnt ask on the last call to them then !!! Worst experience ever they should have No Stars wish I'd read reviews first before buying cause I'd have never ordered .BUT NEVER AGAIN

We paid over £2,000 for a bed and headboard. It is now balancing on pieces of wood because we had to stop using the castors. When the castors are on they make the bed and floor squeak so bad we can't sleep. Customer service is the worst ever. They just say there is no problem with the bed so can do nothing. We got the furniture ombudsman to take the case up. But they still refuse to do anything. They should not even have one star but they don't give you that choice. Worst mistake we have ever made going to Benson beds.

We're very disappointed with our experience with Benson for beds. Don't buy anything through them ever!! We had complied with all their stipulations regarding the six monthly tightening of all the fed's screw sets. When our bed broke we were told that it wasn't covered by guarantee! After six nights sleeping on the floor! We will be taking them to court.

Worst delivery drivers ever come across couldn’t get sliding doors up stairs didn’t want to hang about to find another way upstairs damaged floor argued with me then left me and my wife to take very heavy doors upstairs when I complained said he where sorry it will get sorted then got a response back saying drivers didn’t remember any problems so not excepting responsibility for anything !! That’s the end of it !!! Absolutely horrendous customer service. And they sent a damaged side unit 6 weeks later still not replaced never use again BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

The wardrobe was made from MDF and therefore, the quality was not brilliant. One of the pilot holes was not drilled straight as shown by the uploaded photographs and as a result the extremely heavy door had dropped and was touching the floor within 2 days of construction by two experience fitters. Also, the shelving started to wrap within weeks. I am not convinced about the longevity of this product a Settle Sliding Wardrobe.

We bought Wardrobes back in July. One mirror door was chipped, one decorative panel was scuffed and one handle was missing. We called immediately and initially were offered a 10% credit which we declined (had we wanted defective wardrobes we would have bought from ebay). Benson's agreed to send replacement parts but as they had to come from Germany delivery could be a couple of months. After lots of messaging delivery was arranged for today Christmas Eve, 24/12. Delivery driver rang to inform us that they weren't on the vehicle and won't be delivered. Benson's have told us that due to stock issues they can't be delivered and will get back to us 30/1? So five months after placing an order we are still a handle short and have damaged goods. Benson's are slow in responding to emails, take over an hour to answer the phone and when we requested a callback they eventually rang six hours later. We will never buy from Benson's for Beds again!

Wardrobe damaged had to wait 6 more weeks damaged again so had to get a refund. 3 months wasted. I am left with the impression that once they have your money then that’s all that matters Went to another local retailer service was better times 10 If you really must buy here then use your credit card as you have more rights when getting a refund. The refund process was easy But I felt more reassured as I had paid with a credit card

Shocking how bad this company is, their customer service team are so rude and offer you false information and deals. Items have come damaged twice! I've had to wait 3 months for them to be delivered, just avoid totally!

Really disappointed with service apart from salesman in the Altrincham shop called Gavin who seems to be the only courteous person I have dealt with. The man from customer services , just repeated the standard answers to me and had no idea how to appease an irate customer.

Spent over £500 on a bed /mattress and headboard. On checking it and removing packing all the parts were wet .headboard mattress and frame very poor and now told could be a while b4 a new bed is sent out even tho I've no bed any longer
