We bought a £1500.00 bed 5 months ago,it was mis sold to us and is now unfit for purpose we were told the hump in the middle of the bed is ok we should just sleep in the middle of it and not side by side. a technician said the bed was 2mm within Bensons guidelines of being ok,What rubbish we are pensioners and they have robbed us

Bought a bed frame from here. Good quality but the customer service overshadowed the product. In store, the sales assistant "sold" the idea of interest free finance to us. Which I do not regret. But it seems that he was not trained in how to implement it. He told us that they'd be in touch and arrange it after. Unbeknown to us, this was wrong . A week later my husband got a rude call from the store who told him he had to set up the finance now or we wouldn't get the bed on the agreed date. I then decided to call. I explained the situation and said that the person who spoke to my husband the day before was quite rude. Before I could say anymore, he asked for my receipt number. From there he told me he was the one who spoke to my husband. This is who the conversation went: Him: "I'm the one who spoke to your husband" Me: "Right, well you were quite rude to him-" "How was I rude?" "Well he said that you-" "I told him that you have to set up the finance or you won't get your bed." "Yes but we were told in store that you would call us afterwards." "No, you have to set up the finance in store" "Well, we won't told that. Someone in store said to do it after over the phone" "Why did he tell you that?" "Ha, I don't know. He's you staff!" "Well I don't know why he told you that." "Ok. Well I don't really care why he told me. The fact that is he did and you were rude to my husband yesterday-" "I wasn't rude. I was telling him he has to set up the finance or you won't get the bed." "But we weren't told that." "Look, you have to set up the finance". "Can I speak to your manager?" "I am the manager" "Well how do I make a complaint?" "Why do you want to complain about" "You were rude to my husband you keep interupting me and won't let me speak!" "Go on speak. What do you want?!" "I want you to listen!" "Go on then, what do you want?" "Look, ok, when we came into store we were told we could do the finance over the phone-" "You can't do that!" "That's the 3rd time you've interupted me-" "Well what do you want?" "That's the 4th time you've interupted me-" "Well what do you want?" "That's the 5th time you've interupted me-" "Go on then. Go on then." "That's the 6th time you've interupted me. Are you going to listen?" No joke. That's how the conversation went. I complained to the head office who said "it'll be investigated". His tone of voice was sharp and rude. When we went into the store and set up the finance the assistant manager said "that's just his way. That's how he speaks". Bensons, sort out your staff!!!

Benson for beds are truly the worst company I've ever dealt with , ordered a bed that was too big so went in shop to change order , had to pay 200 pound for smaller bed and felt I was being robbed the staff were obnoxious aggressive and extremely unhelpful , then got wrong bed delivered 3 times , went to the ombudsman for help , what a joke , do not even bother using them , it makes it worse , I truly believe they won't last much longer , it is a joke of a company , any company that won't accept credit card payments is not to be trusted

Worst customer services department I have ever dealt with. They tell lies, back peddle on promises and are totally devoid of any customer care. Their 40 day sleep guarantee is just a licence for them to make more money out of loyal customers!

We ordered a bed that cost over £700 waited 3 weeks for delivery when it came it was damaged, so driver took pictures and said ring customer service and they would arrange a replacement for us. Rang them they said we had another 3 weeks wait for a replacement or they could offer us £40 in vouchers if we kept damage one, i said no I would like a new one, so waited another 3 weeks for it to be delivered booked a day off work for 19th June 2017 for the New replacement to be damaged again. This is totally unacceptable not like it was a £100 bed it was £719.99, I thought a big company such as bensons would have excellent rating which is why me and my partner gave you our service. Will be definitely be thinking twice now from shopping with you which is a shame as we was going to come and order a headboard very soon.

Absolutely attrocious company... Bensons for beds cancelled an order for the mattress. I did not cancel the order. They refunded me the price minus 20% (for an order I did not cancel) The other items were delivered but the drivers would not take them upstairs, claiming they did not fit. BUT they refused to unpack them, This would have meant they would have fitted! Bensons for beds then cancelled these and charged me 20%

Delivery in 7 weeks - Damaged items delivered - Replacements in 4-5 weeks Really bad & disappointing process so far. It took ages for the delivery to come. In our case, to make it even worse, the items delivered were broken and unusable, and re-delivery has just been confirmed in another 4-5 weeks time. If Bensons needs such a long long time for a delivery in the first place, they must ensure that either the delivery is safely arrived, or in the case of damage atleast replacements are a bit faster to arrive. Anyone wont be happy to wait months!!!!

Don't do it! Went in store chose a bed and then advised weeks after that they hadn't input amount correctly. Have decided to cancel my order to be advised 20% fee would be taken for cancelling my order isn't due till the end of the month. Not only that but incorrect address was used to get my credit agreement. Call centre staff are extremely rude! Saying it's not their problem. Wish I read the reviews on the company I wouldn't have gone there. The manger of the Southampton store was lovely when we went in to purchase the bed I just hope she will be more understanding when I speak to her on her next working day, in the hope of sorting this out. But the call centre service is very poor. I think more training is needed. I work in customer service as a manger and I would be ashamed if one of my team members spoke to a customer the way your agent did.

Based on persistent advise from the sales staff in store, I splashed out and purchased a Tempur 'Cloud' memory foam mattress at close on £1500. I run hot and specifically said I had heard memory foam didn't breathe well and was hot to sleep on. Was told this was rubbish and it was top of the range and breathable unlike other inferior memory foam brands. I also queried the softness and was told a new mattress would be harder than that in store which I tried - it could take 6 months to soften. I now have a mattress that is way too hot and way too soft. I've been told I can swap it out given their 40 Sleep exchange policy, at a cost of 20% of the value of the mattress, plus delivery, PLUS the real kicker - whatever replacement I choose I WILL NOT get a refund of the difference in price. Bensons have confirmed this is not in their Terms and Conditions however this is their approach - illegal! All in all a total waste of £1500 and a dreadful customer experience. Be warned, this retailer is fraudulent. So many bad reviews here - DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Faulty mattress broken divan guarantee worthless as they claim lumpy mattress is within their tolerance levels, accused me of faulty assembly of the divan causing the broken board even though they assembled it, their supposed independent assessor engineer was only on their side and I was told to claim off my house insurance £799 down the drain. Do not buy off this rip off company, shoddy goods useless guarantee, you have been warned!

!!!20% CANCELLATION CHARGE!!! Do not order from this company, there is a 20% cancellation charge on orders, even if they have not been processed, nor dispatched and the delivery date is longer than 2 months away for a stock item. They also charge you 20% of the delivery charge even though you have not had, nor was the delivery booked in. A particular shout out goes to Aman the saleslady in Derby for not informing us of the T+Cs at the time or purchase, her scared manager for not wanting to call me back and the absolute vile excuses for humans who work in the customer contact centre. I couldn't more strongly advise you to STAY AWARE from this company.

Disgusted by agressive , unhelpful and rude staff. I bought a super king size mattress however the delivery guys were unable to take it up the stairs as it could not be bent being a v firm mattress so it was taken away as 'failed delivery'. When I called the store for alternative /refund , I faced the most rude , aggressive staff who not only refused to pay full refund but also blamed me for the return! . When I spoke to store manger , it was the worst nightmare that one can imagine. She not only defended her colleagues behaviour but simply hung up !. Eventually when I got through the manager, she was most unhelpful, rude staff I have ever encountered , intimidating and threatening that under no circumstances I will get my refund even when the item was returned because their delivery staff made it clear that it was the fault of staff and that if it was a less firm mattress , it could have easily been taken up the staircase. Now I am left with no mattress, sleeping on floor , but blank refusal for a refund , instead offered me an exchange for a smaller and even more expensive mattres ! Over all the most humiliating experience and with financial loss of nearly £600!. So anyone planning a visit to Benson.... think twice ,it's not worth it.

After previously looking at beds we decided to go & have another look as benson had the one we wanted. 20% off offer seemed great so we took the plunge & decided to go for the whole package (base, mattress & headboard). Sales rep took 10% discount before being able to start the process of trying to get 3 years int free. Waited for 15 mins for the counter to go down until finally being told that because we had just got married & my name had changed i needed to produce a marriage certificate (everybody obv carries those around all the time with them!) so we travelled back home with kids in tow (25 miles) to get certificate, was told the store closed at 8pm, arrived back at 5past 6 to a closed store! absolutely furious by this point!! went back last night to re-do the whole process, got accepted only to find out that they hadnt included the headboard! Tried telling me i said no to a headboard even though that was about 80% the reason we wanted that particular bed. Currently waiting for the store manager to start their shift at half 11 to get a phone call & try to fight getting my deposit money back through no fault of my own! sales rep just clicked the terms & conditions on my behalf as it was 5 to 8 & he wanted to get home.... Worst experience ever!!!

I paid for my wardrobe in 17/01/17 full price !!! After ten weeks the boys come with missing part ... I still look for the rest today ! The worst was that nobody knew anything about two weeks where is rest and I gave my old wardrobe a charity So you can imagine that chaos at my home.Unfortunately I did not read Terms neither Reviews Think twice before buying something fro bensons !!!

Absolute nightmare company from beginning to end. Spend 3 months trying to get a simple mattress which they said they delivered and complained to their sales team, customer service team, head office etc. They admit themselves that there warehouses are a shambles and would never but from them again. Avoid at all costs

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I kid you not, worst experience with any store i've ever had in my life!!! I am now at my FOURTH ATTEMPT at trying to obtain my order, after 3 DELIVERIES OF THE WRONG ITEM!!! which i originally ordered from the Wednesbury store in DECEMBER 2016. Not only that i stupidly went in again a few weeks ago apparently undeterred by my so far shocking experience with them, and ordered two bedside drawers, they were delivered on Monday and one of them was BROKEN!!! you could clearly see that it had taken a MAJOR BLOW to it BEFORE IT WAS DELIVERED to us. I literally feel like i'm being PRANKED now because i just cant understand how they can get it WRONG AGAIN AND AGAIN Personally i think there is some rebellion going on with their workers, because the workers at the delivery centers appear to be loading the wrong items over and over again, the delivery guys appear to have NO TRAINING on how to load and unload items properly and without causing damage, and the customer service operatives say they will do something and either they don't do it or THEY DO IT WRONG!!! . Either way I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BENSONS AGAIN. They need to be investigated by WATCHDOG and i feel like contacting the BBC to see if they can find out exactly what the hell is going on with this company.

I am now at my fourth attempt at trying to obtain my order, after 3 deliveries of the wrong item!!! which i originally ordered from the Wednesbury store in November 2016. I literally feel like i'm being pranked now because i just cant understand how they can get it wrong again and again. Personally i think there is some rebellion going on with the workers at the delivery centers and they are screwing up peoples deliveries on purpose, either that or disgruntled customer service employees who are doing the same. Either way I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BENSONS AGAIN
