Asked for a refund, ongoing 8 months, lots of emails from them saying different things. But no refund.
I have read many negative reviews on here where people have lost out. I am not going to allow this to happen to me, and i am taking them to court to get money back. I intend to get my ticket money back as well as costs and more.

“I booked a flight costing 429 GBP. I have booked many flights over the years and never made a typo - particularly because I use "Auto Fill" in Chrome, which fills in my name and address for me. On this occasion I was very surprised to see that I received a ticket with one letter incorrect in my surname.
I immediately wrote to Budget Air to ask them to remove the incorrect letter from my surname, but they refused. They said my ticket was non-refundable and that I would need to book a new ticket, therefore losing 429 GBP (524 USD). Obviously this is completely immoral and not acceptable. So, I called the airline in question directly and they corrected the typo. As it turns out, I would have been able to do this at the check-in counter as well.
Budget Air not only gave me false information about changing the incorrect spelling, but they also refused to let me speak to management about the issue.
This experience shows they are NOT to be trusted. I will not be using them again and I would advise everyone to book directly with an airline or use a different agency.”

“Awful customer service. Not easy to get through the chat, and when done, impossible to get anywhere with the "robo-humans", that if they reply, which on occasions they can't be bothered. I had to miss my flight to SouthAfrica during the Omicron drama, they reassured I could change the flight with no additional cost, but that of course was too good to be true - I was offered the most ridiculous options (eg. 48h+ 4 layover flight), with a very hefty tag as apparently the new flights are twice as expensive, even though the airline has kept similar prices. Operators are incredibly slow as they probably operate multiple chats at once, rude and careless. My first chat (of many attempts) lasted a whole hour, I was given TWO options on this whole time, both awful, and the lady concluded my chat saying that I can't make up my mind so she couldn't help me. So they make it easier to pay for a new flight than to go through this frustrating operation. Avoid like pest.”
“Useless and unprofessional. Needed to change/cancel a flight 4 days before departure, website says if it's such a short notice to call them. Phone number nowhere to be found. First advisor (or a humanobot by the way they speak) on the annoying chat first proceeds to give me a number to a random unrelated airline, then finally says there's no number for budgetair. Second advisor gives conflicting information about refunds, both take ages to reply, speak in codes and shortcuts, don't answer your questions at all, lie and suggest that you're the one trying to manipulate them. Filed a formal complaint, no answer. Avoid!”
“The price is fine. However if you want some service or need to make a change then it is absolutely terrible. What was a reasonably priced ticket turned out to be very expensive when the flight was changed. Nobody to speak to, a bot that gives very little choice and limited opportunity to live chat.”

“These scammers don’t even deserve one star rating . Absolutely terrible customer service , they don’t have a phone line and their chat feature is very slow.
I tried to change my flight and they quoted an insane amount, it was more than twice the amount if I rebooked a new flight.
They are very sketchy when you ask for information and evry agent quoted a different cancellation / change fee , which is just a scam.
Please don’t use their service or you would be in for a nasty surprise if you need to change / cancel your flight.”
“They are scammers and wont return your money 100%. It went from them saying a refund will be issued.Then the refund became a voucher only and they then requested i contact the airline for a refund. The airline had nothing to do with the refund as this was just to put me off. Then they asked me for written proof, from the airline. Stating the refund can only come from budget air. They then
went onto to deny any refunds. They will have an excuse for everything and have no telephone number to call them. The only way to contact them is to stay on waiting, all day long and be disconnected about 10times on there chat. DONT USE THEM !!”

I canceled my flight and because i was sick covid and can't travel International flights because the rule now they don't want give me my money back or credit back. A CON AT ITS BEST........
Having agreed the total invoice price,I gave my card details for payment.I paid by Visa Debit which afforded me a £10 discount.I pressed the payment button,and when the invoice came through there had been £11.99 added for no apparent reason.It did actually say it had been payed by Mastercard,which I don't even own!
I contacted Aer Lingus,and they too had the higher price on their own invoice.It became apparent that the additional charge which was previously totally unmentioned prior to booking,was Budget Air's own costs to use their own Mastercard to make payment to Aer Lingus for my flights..AN ABSOLUTE CON AND TANTAMOUNT TO STEALING IN MY OPINION.Never again.”
