Quick at selling me a phone, buf when there's a problem with the new phone bought from them, they dont want to know! I bought a Motorola G6 Play from their Camborne store in June, worked great for 2 weeks then I had all my contacts disappear and someone elses detail appear on the phone, Unfortunatly for me I was in France with my daughter for nearly 3 months but after coming back I went to my local Carphone in St Austell where I told them that since having the G6 it has erased my contacts twice, the headphone jack doesnt work, the battery sometimes says its 100% then goes to 3% within half an hour. The WIFI sometimes works and maily doesnt so using all my data up whilst in my house. The main concern is security as how did my contacts disappear on a phone I never have out of sight? So the chap at Carphone said "no worries, we'll send it off and here is a lone phone while yours is off being repaired and it will be about a week as its only 5 months old and still inder warranty! Went to collect my phone from Carphone after a week, there were two young ladies both took turns in belittling me by saying the phone cannot be fixed, here is your sim back bye! They claimed that they dont fix Motorola phones and I should go to them to get it fixed, it had nothing to do with them as they only sell phones and not responsible for repair. I asked to speak to someone in authority to which the one girl went out back and was on her phone to a manager in Plymouth. She came back and said that their area manager said for me to contact Motorola myself and that they couldnt offer me an exchange as the phone is now on their system as faulty! So that they cannot sell it on as my cooling off period had expired! So what do they do with these phones that come back if customers dont want/like them, do they re sell them on as new? Is this what Carphone have done to me, sold me a used phone hence these Scottish phone contacts on my supposodly new phone? They wouldnt put me on the phone to their manager and that's when they started to get nasty with me. The one walked off and the other just said for me to go as they just sell phones but if I was to pay off my contract £225 they would sort me out another phone! Not on your Nelly would I deal with this lot ever again. I bought it from their Cambourne store and the empliyee was Scottish, as she said that she liked the G6 and when she came out with the phone it wasnt boxed and I stupidly took that phone, but I'm too trusting. The contacts that replaced my contacts where numbers in Dundee Scotland! The store in Camborne is now closed down, makes me wonder?

Attempted to order a Sumsung S9 on an on line deal only to get an email to say ring somebody re the order. When we rang them they explained that the order had failed due to internal security but were unable to explain what the issue was. We could try to get the order changed to delivery to a local store but after hanging around for almost half an hour the operator took our bank details again ??? ( despite having already been told it was not a credit problem but an internal security problem ) and promised to ring back if there was a problem with it going through. 15 mins later, email stating order had been cancelled and no phone call ! Many thanks Nyanja on on line branch no 218 for you're excellent service (not). Dealing with them on line seems like a scam - we have never ever had any other problems in living at the address for the past 20 years - and it just seemed like an excuse to get you interested - did the deal, ever exist ?

They were offering £200 plus the trade in value of my phone for a Galaxy Note 9, I took the offer and bought the Note 9. As agreed I sent them my phone for the trade in, they waited until the 14 days return period was over and then told me they couldn't pay the agreed amount. They offered me another amount which I accepted then after 10 days they sent my phone back and haven't paid anything. I called customer care to send their phone back and they said the return period was closed, I told them that they did not honour the agreement with the trade in but cpw doesn't want to know. The next step is Ombudsmen and this will be the last purchase from this firm and its sister companies curry's etc.

Most awful customer service ever . We traded in a phone which was in brilliant condition. Always had a case on , less than a year old, always had screen protector. First of all it took us 2 weeks of constant ringing up and arguing with them about a phone they had recieved but were denying they had after chasing down royal mail who clarified it has been delivered and they had CCTV or us posting it they finally said they had received it . Every time we rang up they would argue and argue , they would snigger and laugh , one man even kept putting the phone down on us . I would never recommend ever dealing with these . After they said we could only have 110 for the phone and not 410 because it was apparently not a working phone , we asked them to send it back . When it was returned to us the screen was full of scratches , still switched on ok etc but it had deep scratches . When I rang up to complain the woman said it would have to be the trade in team who dealt with it and would call me back within 72hrs . Still waiting over a week later . Absolutely ridiculas, they don't deserve to be in buisness

Got the new Note 9 with offer to have additional £200 on cash back. Sent the phone took 3 weeks to get a reply saying phone not working condition because of a screen burn. So i call them to see the further steps but was told to wait. After two they sent my device back with no options to get the value for none working device. So basically they cheated me out of £200 Terriable company stay clear.

i have been to carphone warehouse which is in Barking , there one of the staff members named Viorel , served me . when i asked him for the phone which i wanted to buy as a handset only, then he said that they have no stock in but he can do a contract only if i can get it on contract and that's how he forced a contract on me and i had to go back to the store to get that cancelled. to return that contract including his manager all staffs were trying to avoid me and sending me back. shame on such a bad employee and manager.

Ordered a new iphone 8 upgrade as an existing customer of several years - ordered over the phone and told it would be delivered next day. Took my payment. Phone delivery slot never confirmed next morning as promised. Told it would be the next day. Next day arrived and still no phone delivery slot confirmed. Chased up - took numerous calls and on line chats before being told the phone has gone missing somewhere between car phone warehouse and the couriers depot. Apparently I have to wait another 5 working days before they can log a claim and at that point they will look at my order again. I am not allowed to cancel the order until after this time. They are not prepared to issue another phone to me even tho its not my fault or let me go in store to collect one. Appalling customer service. Don't order on-line over the phone - go in-store then at least you can get the phone there and then. Don't know how long this will take to resolve, very disillusioned - there are other people with exactly the same circumstances saying its taken 3 weeks!!!!!!! And my new contract has been confirmed as taken over by my network provider so I am paying for the new more expensive phone contract too!!

I bought a Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 from them and 1 year later the volume increase button popped out. Carphone Warehouse said they will send it to repair and that they will contact me about the price. A few days later I got a text message saying my phone has been repaired and is on its way. I assumed my 2 year warranty would cover it so I waited for a few days and I wasn't contacted about the delivery. I went to the store and checked and they said it wasn't there, even though the tracker said it was ready for collection. I returned the next day and they found a package with no name on it so they put it aside. Apparently the package came in a few days ago and I was really angry about this service but I let it go. Then they tell me I had to pay £160, but I bought the phone for £230. Why do I need to pay that much for replacing a piece of plastic on the side of the phone? Then I find out they replaced the LCD screen too, but the screen was working perfectly as I was contacted by Carphone Warehouse saying that they wanted my pattern for the lock, which means the LCD screen was working. I asked them to contact me but the didn't contact me about the price and just went ahead and fixed it. And for that matter, they still though they were right in what they did. Now they cheated me and managed to steal my phone off me.

Appalling service - order two phones online - one arrived, one didn't, apparently lost in transit it has taken me 3 weeks, over 15 hours on the phone and two days off work to try to sort out where my phone is and I STILL haven't got it! Customer Service procedures clearly unfit for purpose - Can't even find out who at the top I should write to.

I bought a Samsung galaxy Note 9 on the pre-order date with the offers of a £200 enhanced trade-in plus a FREE wireless charger My enhanced trade-in cashback came 1 month later after many trips to the store and phone calls, each time getting a different answer and no free gift I sent them a letter of complaint and guess what, NO REPLY. That's how much they care about customers, just want your money. BEWARE buy at your own risk. Don't ever buy online, they lie to get the sale mr m

staff were inattentive and then not knowledgeable about their own products. It all ended when two representatives ended up fighting with one another about what I had asked. I finally walked out leaving them to it. A shambles !!

I visited the Carphone warehouse in Surbiton on Saturday 29th October 2018. Having just come back from abroad, where had my phone stolen, I visited the store to get a replacement. I had previously been on a monthly-sim deal with EE but could not afford to purchase a new phone outright. The experience started off well besides a long wait, when I was served by the store manager who informed who went straight into sales mode, he reassured me of the Huawei P20 and P20pro and their specs, which are the phones I wanted to go for. The deal he told me of was much better than the ones being offered by EE so I was pleased. EE had waived the upfront cost, but the manager said Carphone Warehouse could not do , but I was not bothered as it was a good deal. When I had managed to get my account unblocked from EE their system apparently crashed, when they managed to get my details up the offer was no longer available to me. The monthly cost had risen, the upfront cost had risen, and the data allowance had gone down. He informed me then that he only had 2 phones of the p20 pro left in stock, in black and purple. We joked about me not wanting a purple phone. He sold me the phone again and said now that he could waive the upfront cost (??) or he would throw in a clear plastic phone case for the deal. I decided it was like the deal offered by EE and I decided t have the upfront cost waived. At this point the time was already 18:10 and the they had closed the shutters, I really appreciated this as the clearly knew how desperate I was for a phone. He then proceeded to finish off the transactions and make me sign all the paper and then sold me the insurance package, after my terrible experience of having my phone stolen I went with it. Him and his colleague then went into the back to get my phone. Surprisingly I had to wait a further 15/20mins as they were in the bank, his colleague then came from the back and said the phone was coming and the manager was getting it out the safe. I joked it must be a secure safe, when I was told it is on a timer and they must wait a certain amount of time to enter. This surprised me as the customer they had served before, the customer assistant got the phone in 2 minutes from the back. I waited passionately, then I noticed his screen was visible to me with my details. It stated that the invoice could not be completed as there were 2 items of stock missing (presumably the 2 black P20pros). Anyway, eventually the manager emerged with a box and my new sim. I completed the last-minute things and thanked them and apologised for keeping them in the store after hours. I had phones from Carphone and EE before and normally they would unbox the phone and insert he sim for you then and there, but I appreciated they wanted to get home. When I got home I unboxed the phone and found a plastic case for the phone which made me laugh. I decided to forget it and inserted the sim and updated my new phone with the updates and the last backup from my stolen phone. The next day was when I recognised that the phone looked different, it was purple. I checked online to see if the black P20 should have such a dark purple back affect, which it is not. I then realised I had been provided the wrong phone. It hit me that I had been played for a fool really and conned thinking back about him saying he could not waive the upfront cost; there was no phone case in the box; the length of time it took them to get the phone from the safe; the screen saying two items were missing from stock and the phone box having not being opened in front of me. I will be contacting customer services and whoever to resolve this as I feel like it was like daylight robbery and that my experience of having my phone stolen was taken advantage of to get a sale. Furthermore, there have been similar complaints made about the same individuals and nothing has been done? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=carphone+warehouse+surbiton&oq=carphone+warehouse+surbiton&aqs=chrome..69i57.5763j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#lrd=0x48760bb5ec45f703:0xedb6d0e7161dc4b5,1,,,

............Well rubbish service customers service sleeping. For security reasons Passport not enough to identify your edentity also need your bank card details and your pin to take £1 extra for this security identifications. Makes no sense. All for the money in the end just business strategies for multiply the money if they take £1 here there after....in the end of the day they can get fees from the bank. Easy money.

A bunch of fraudsters that I'm starting to believe have been trained to lie. Trade-in value was promised 72 hours after they received the phone, it has now been over a month and STILL getting told '3 to 5 days' across 10 calls and 10 live chats chasing it up. I do not normally hold grudges but I will never, ever buy from this company again based on principle, regardless of how much cheaper their price is compared to their competitors.

I bought an Note 9 and i have trade in my note 8 almost new condition. After 10 days still trying to know when i will get my money for my trade in. After phoning them and telling me that I have to wait 72 hours and again phoning them and have to wait more than 48 hours for another complain, just thinking that i lost my 550 pounds that I had to get for my phone. I will try to make a complain to trade and standard and will see what will happen. I will never use this company again and this company should be fined for how it is treating his clients and maybe they will treat the clients with more respect.

Very poor service. New phone disappeared into couriers systems for over 1 week. Carphone warehouse unprepared to take ownership of the issue and did not provide updates. Spent in total over 3 hours on the phone with them attempting to resolve. Also, when I said that I wanted to raise a complaint I was not given any details on how to. You really do deal with them at your own risk....
