Arrived sharply to be left waiting for 45 minutes with two small children, had a lengthy phone call with Martin and was implicit with my requirements on the interior... 3.5 hour journey from south Kent to be left standing around... Oh sorry Mr x.. No one told me you was coming.. After finally getting to see the car the roof lining had large dark oil stains.. Rear bumper had an area around d 10 inches of damage all photo shopped out in the images.. General state of the car.. Stank of cigarette smoke.. Dust and grime everywhere.. The car clearly had been turned around with zero attention... Get a cheap car.. Get a poor service.. Just wished the honesty had been there as a 7 hour round trip wasted.. Unless of course Carshop believe this is normal.. Avoid at all costs.. Dishonest people

I have placed£99 deposit on the car which I later cancelled. My refund never arrived and I was told that this is a “glitch “ on the system. This same car is still showing on my account and I was left with nothing. Please be careful paying deposit as I am not sure when and whether I will ever get my money back.

brought my ds5 from swindons carshop and within a day the motor on the mirror become faulty...now just 5 months later im having to put a litre of oil i my car every 2 weeks(thats without even driving my car)ive called the carshop to book car in to be looked at/fixed and they cant book it in untill 6 weeks time...ive got extended warranty but ive been told i will have to pay for my car to be fixed if oil leak is bad even though ive paid for all the extras that are supposed to cover my car and im paying for the next 56 months to blackhorse finance totaling £26,000 for the loan on my car through the swindon carshop...so in all im stuck with a car i can not drive due to fault as i fear driving it will only cause more damage to the engine...def going to contact blackhorse finance to see where i stand with a refund as ive driven only 50 miles since i purchased my ds5 and i believe from the logbook having 5 owners before me on a car thats only 4 years old a little questionable...i believe this has been a ongoing problem since new(5 owners is solid proof of that)!

purchased my Audi Q5 but when I collected despite paying extra I found the inside was still dirty and not valeted. I put this down to human error and the car was exactly what I wanted. However after just 10 days the brake pad wear sensor activated. Apparently during the check they had enough thickness to meet their standards however I would suggest 200 miles and 10 days later they are at the minimum level is hard to believe. I understand wear items sit outside the warranty but 10 days!!! This doesn’t reassure me about their safety and quality checks which makes me doubt the whole car never mind the attitude of the company 😢😢😢

Very unprofessional and no duty of care. I bought Audi A6 from Swindon store. On the day of collection when papers were submitted, finance application didn't go through because of the chap who did my application put my name wrong. Finance company dropped a hard search on my credit file which is understandable. After this all the paperwork was mended with the correct name. Then again another finance application was with the correct name which dropped another hard search on my credit file. It took nearly 4 hours to collect the car. Finally got the keys and as soon as I got on the motorway ,I was doing national speed limit and car started to shake. I called the company couple of times. Finally someone answers the phone and I was told they would call me back with an answer which never happened. So I called them again that's when I was told I'd have the take the car to Bristol store to get the wheels balanced. I took the car down Bristol branch next day. I spoke to Carly in Bristol branch who helped me immensely. Car was taken in and found one of the wheel causing the issue which can not balanced. I was informed either in needs tyre or a new alloy wheel. They couldn't book me in for the same day so I am booked for this Saturday to get a new. If there is no issue with the tyre then I would have to be booked again to get the new alloy in the car. This whole situation ruined my experience.

Just don’t do it, it’s not worth the risk! I am writing this review 3 and a half months after I purchased this vehicle from Car Shop Norwich. I am pleased I did not write my review at the point of collecting the vehicle like I was encouraged to! I purchased a 2019 Mercedes C Class Coupe with 20,055 miles on the clock. I will be honest and give praise where praise is due! I went to Carshop despite some of the reviews and personal experiences from people I know, I had purchased my previous vehicle from there and the vehicle was a great vehicle, I so wish I still had it! Anyway, I wasn’t totally sure what my next car was going to be, so with the choice available there it made sense to go and ‘have a look’! I have to say the actual sales experience is good, a little pushy in some ways but to be expected. I personally dealt with Rishpal, he was friendly, professional and accommodating, this review is in no way negative about him. My complaint started when I realised within a few days the vehicle had a fault. I was hearing an unpleasant noise from the front of the vehicle when going over speed bumps and dips in the road. I won't go into every aspect of this and list the problems I believe this vehicle to have as it will take too long! What I will say is the vehicle went into the workshop four times in total, with three different attempted repairs for the noise from the front of the vehicle, of which all failed, No loan car any time. Each repair I felt was a fob off, missing screws and greasing bushes, yes, greasing bushes and not replacing them, the final attempt as an anti-roll bar. During the attempts at repair, I had personally handed a letter to Ashley McCarthy (Retail Operations Manager), this letter outlined my experience so far and my concerns about the attempted repairs. I was told this would be given to Michelle Freeman, the ‘Brand Experience Manager’ and that she would call me, I was never contacted by Michelle regarding my experience at the CarShop Brand. In fact, she actively avoided my calls to her, I had to speak to Lynsey Sprosson (Service Manager) every time. I have since been told ‘As my concerns were related to the workshop and repairs the best person for me to have spoken to was the Service Manager’. No, my issue was my experience at the CarShop Brand and the fact I found Lynsey to be, should we say, I will be polite and just say, not very customer experience focused. I wanted to speak to someone else, she would have known this if she had actually taken my call or called me as I was told she would. Needless to say, after the fourth workshop visit and third attempt at repair, when the fault was still present, I tried to reject the vehicle directly with CarShop. Lynsey declined my rejection. I was told by Lynsey that there was categorically nothing wrong with this vehicle, he is a trained mechanic and an ex-MOT tester, he has personally looked over the vehicle himself and the vehicle is sound. It was also stated to me that CarShop doesn’t investigate ‘noises’. However, Carshops own ‘Complete Quality & Safety Checks’ lists ‘• Listen for noises’. I have had to exercise my final right to reject through the finance company. The vehicle had to be independently inspected to confirm there was a fault and that previous attempts to repair had failed. This inspection was completed, it did indeed confirm there was a fault and that the attempt to repair had failed. It was recommended that the shocks and Bushes be replaced. The whole process has been a long-drawn-out process and stressful. I am not an unreasonable person, I understand things can go wrong and have faults, and sometimes it can be a process of elimination to find the fault. Personally, I did not expect to have such issues with a ‘Quality’ vehicle that had only done 20K Miles. However, it is how this is dealt with that makes the difference though! I obviously really liked the vehicle, and I would have perhaps persisted further with trying to get the faults rectified if it were not for the attitude of Lynsey. To sum it up, if you can buy a car from Carshop and have no need for any after-sales assistance, you might be okay, but if you need any after-sales assistance good luck!!

My advice - DON'T. .......... My advice, through bitter experience of dealing with this dishonest and thoroughly incompetent company is to avoid, avoid avoid. Their mantra and training programme ethos seems to be lies and deceit, they just can't help themselves. Customer service, that's a laugh, promises from the remote site - wherever that is, they understand and will address all your grievances! Don't believe them, the staff Wakefield are better than that and will look you straight in the eye and tell you a pack of lies. Couple this with the incompetence of their 'mechanics' and complete absence of after sales service and it truly is a match made in hell. So after spending hour after hour after relentless hour in the Wakefield hub don't believe that you've won any argument when they capitulate and award you with a free service or even and MOT. They'll have your car for a couple of days for the MOT and do more harm than good in any service. Don't do it! One example from numerous inflicted upon us, after having the car serviced it broke down within 30 miles or so. This was 30 miles into our planned holiday destination. On checking for causation we found the engine oil had been massively overfilled (just as bad as insufficient oil) When I pointed this out to the clueless manager he shuffled off to get his 'head of tech' who dipped then oil. He then, in his hitherto unremarkable career had a light bulb moment, he started up the engine and let it run for a few minutes, (this is going to be interesting I thought!) On switching the engine off he plunged the dipstick into its holder where it remained for a nanosecond before he retrieved it. 'Look' he said proudly, pointing at the now reduced oil level, 'problem solved' he announced before walking off to, presumably, continue with his pocket billiards. Another totally dissatisfied customer shared with me his thoughts, 'these mechanic must be the rejects from Halfords'.Such is the level of incompetence at Wakefield Carshop it was pointless continuing to discuss the many issues weather it was mechanical, reported broken promises, deceit - trust me, when it all goes wrong they will lie, lie lie and lie again. Absolutely abhorrent company but can't help believing they're proud of this accolade . If you've read this far then I suppose the most compelling reason not to give Carshop Wakefield your hard earned money is the position we now find ourselves. Despite the appalling service and promises we were given, despite the fact we've spent somewhere in the region of 45 -50 hours waiting and waiting for the service we paid for, despite holiday ruined, despite the habitual lies offered up by Carshop Wakefield and the overwhelming feeling of being scammed, repeatedly, by them we are now at peace having jettisoned their promises and taking the car to a competent and knowledgeable mechanic supported by a customer service team who actually do what they say they'll do. I've made some serious accusations here, all can be corroborated via photos, video, correspondence and independent garage reports. Let's see what Lee or any of his other lieutenants have to say.

I prep'ed my visit by reading reviews & having a couple of 'phone conversations with a member of staff before visiting, so my expectations were set. Even though we arrived an hour before our appointment time, we were greeted well and didn't have to wait. My wife and I looked at 2 cars, which I 'went over with a fine tooth comb' before taking both for test drives, (and not just round the block). The salesman, Albert, couldn't have been more helpful; he was attentive, but not pushy, and had good product knowledge. Yes, he did try & sell me all sorts of extras, such as Gardex, GAP insurance, 'drive away' insurance, etc. etc. but once I made it plain I wasn't interested in racking up the bill, he got the idea and stopped trying. Having decided to buy one, I spent nearly 30 mins. on the 'phone to my insurance company, sorting out my insurance. Then we had to wait for a Finance Manager to become available: Albert wasn't allowed to seal the deal. (This was despite the fact that I wasn't part exchanging anything and didn't want finance). The Finance Manager, Martin Denmark, was very personable but also went through offering 'extras', even though I'd set out my position. He was too was very helpful, in that he did a lot of the DVLA stuff for me, which was strictly my responsibility. Overall we were happy with the way we were treated; both Albert & Martin provided some good old fashioned service, which was a nice surprise. But be warned: our visit took over 4 hours, (some of which was my own doing), and be prepared to have all sorts of additional considerations presented to you. Would I buy from Norwich CarShop again? Absolutely. But allow LOTS of time.

Where do we start. DONT fall for their tricks off splitting the mot payments over the monthly cost, they won’t book you in so you’re paying for literally nothing. Few months later take the car in for a service. Didn’t give me the rundown of what they’ve done. Didn’t fill in the paperwork until a week later looking at the date of the documents which aren’t the date I took my car in for. Passed my service then proceeded to not tell me all the problems which flagged on the health check. Told me my car was perfect and sent me on my way. 4 months later car is utterly fucked breaks system fail full rust which had been building for months but as they never said I was unaware. They allowed me to drive away in a death trap. Newborn baby is in the car daily and they allowed such poor service and health and safety pushed to the side. stuck with the car and a massive bill to fix it all. They’re quick to take your money then forget about their promises. Will never be buying a car from them again. Will be seeking legal advice to make sure this never happens to anyone else.

Hello I bought a vehicle with from your Northampton branch on May 25 and was told that the malfunctions that occurred within the first 3 months would be fixed by the service teams. Unfortunately, I ran into a lot of problems the first day I got it. The battery signal came and it was not even enough to start the car, there was a noise from the bottom and there was a problem such as one of the seat belts not working properly. Although this is a brand new vehicle, these problems were supposed to be solved before I bought it, but unfortunately they were not. The vehicle did not work 2 times this week. When I talked to your sales reps about these issues, they said for 3 months that all breakdowns would be fixed by BMW service instead of your team, which is pretty alarming considering how much money I spent in good faith buying this car just to have it. many problems. immediately after purchase. As you can imagine, due to this situation, my trust in your company has decreased considerably and now all I ask from you is to fulfill the promises made when I bought my car; Please do what needs to be done to get it working properly again soon!

Paid £13,000 for a Nissan Juke back in June 2022, Took out a 3 year service plan. Few weeks later I had the car smelling of cigarettes, Am a non smoker. They agreed to have the car back and Change the pollen filter and fragrance bomb to get rid of the smell. Fast forward 12 months, Car returned Swindon for Major service. They discovered an oil leak from the timing chain casing, The pollen filter cover missing? Why was this not reported when they changed the pollen filter weeks after buying the car? Seems like the filter cover and oil leak has been over looked. Pollen filter cover £70 and to fix the oil leak near £500.
