Yesterday i ordered online for collection at Solihull Retail Park store a samsung 50" 6800 as it was £999 as I'm gathering everything together to move house. I also purchased a tv bracket and a samsung blu ray player also.. After getting the unit home the urge to get it going an tuning it ready was to much so i have done that an packaged it all back up as it came out. So the following day i checked on curry's website just to look up something on the spec and noticing they have slashed the price by £200 if i were to buy it online where it was £999 online an in store yesterday. What the hell is this all about !!! I mean i don't mind £50 but £200!! Why didn't the guy explain to me when selling me everything else explain anything at all. I think its completely out of order and would love Curry's to get ahold of me as the TV is just sitting here packaged up as i won't be moving out for another month yet. Its just ridiculous that price!! And if currys do watch these reviews i honestly love the tv set its brilliant, but i also think some compensation should be in order for another order. I was looking to go back an buy a Sonos Playbar next week. But now i think i'll be going elsewhere unless you guys can sort something out. So curry's if you are reading this please email me at Ashley.J.Manton@gmail.com Regards

If only I had been on here before making a purchase I would have avoided this company like the plague. I purchased a washing machine and 14 months later it stops working. very suspicious that it is just outside of the one year guarantee. Coincidences happen though so as long as it gets fixed I would be happy. All parts are still covered by a 5 year guarantee. When I call up everything seems OK. Yes we can repair it and yes you have a 5 year guarantee. Perfect......until I am informed that I still need to pay for a call out charge for the engineer to fix it. So parts are covered but we are going to sting you for a call out charge....of £120 which is half the price of the washing machine in the first place! What a con. I need my clothes washed so I fork out the money, then the fun really begins. "We can send an engineer out on Tuesday if that suits?" Their engineers work from 7.30 am till 6.00 pm. Well I do have a job otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford your poorly made product or the rip off fees you are charging me to fix said product so can you make it from 4.30 onwards? Oh no says the rather poorly titled "Customer Service" agent in a mocking tone. It would be ridiculous to think that you could actually choose a time which works for you! We will give you a three hour window. "We can't guarantee any times" Well I can guarantee I will be at work till 4.30 so there is no point sending anyone round before then. So they agree to "Put a note in". You guessed it they send the engineer round at 1pm. I start again with calling the "Customer Service Department" 2 and a half weeks, 6 phone calls, 6 engineers visits while I am at work later and I still have a broken washing machine. I fear we are going round in circles. Albert Einstein once said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results". Knowhow simply do not listen to anything you have to say, it's exasperating. They have expressed regret and apologise for the "negative impression" yet continue to compound this impression further. Apologies are not going to fix this problem so they are useless to me. I do not need another empty apology I need my washing machine fixed. I think I understand their game plan here. They plan on doing this same dance with me for as long as possible. Making bookings which are impossible, me replying barley able to contain my anger at their incompetences. Until I have no clean clothes left and get the sack from my employment for being a smelly Bam thus leaving me at home all day and at the beck and call of their engineers to swan in whenever suits them. There must be an easier solution. What Customer Service do they actually provide? "Customer Service" All interactions between a customer and a product provider at the time of sale, and , thereafter. Customer service adds value to a product and builds enduring relationships. That sounds wonderful doesn't it?. Here is how I see our "enduring relationship". Two divorced parents arguing about times for visiting our slightly overweight emotionally damaged son. It's the kids who suffer.

90 year old father made to wait 30 mins plus in store for a £90 refund - fitter refused to install his new gas oven, so refund owed for installation cost plus the recycling charge. We took advantage of respite cover for my mother to visit the store at the first opportunity. Firstly, it was said due to the time delay, payment should be either by means of a gift card, or to a bank account. Pointed out that the transaction was in cash, so we wanted £90 cash. The docket from the fitter indicated that no service was provided, but we were asked if the old oven was removed- our answer being no. Check was then made with the that this was the case. I was mightily offended that our word was sought, then ignored. We were about ten minutes in when this confirmation was recieved, and I had already indicated that the time this was taking was totally unacceptable, and that we needed to be somewhere else (which was the case). Second lady took over, I thanked the first for her time and effort, this being totally ignored. Made it clear to the second that we wanted our money and us gone, totally unacceptable etc, to no real effect. I don't swear as a rule, but swore on this occasion. She said she could get the manger down if I wished, although she "was nearly done, and if the manager came, it would take longer". I requested the manager did come, so she got on the phone. We were there for 10 minutes plus, with no manager putting in an appearance, but we got our money, which implies that she wasn't "nearly done" when she had said so. All this was about following Curry's processes/protocols, and absolutely nothing to do with providing decent customer service. At one point it was a caseof " I have to follow the process, my job is on the line". Wonderful - detaoined at Curry's pleasure for 30 minutes plus.

Brought a tumble dryer from currys store in Taunton. It arrived as planned a week after purchasing it and worked once. After discussing this with currys they sent a hot point engineer to look at the machine and told us the circuit board was broken and the machine was not repairable. O.k fine these things happen albeit very inconvenient as my wife had to take a day off work to wait for the engineer. Currys then still will not give a refund until they pick up the machine and state I could try and sell it on after getting a refund so I have to wait another week or take another day off during the week to get it collected then get my money back. Sorry but trying to sell a completely faulty machine which does not even turn on would be difficult at the best of times but to be treated as a potential fraudster to a company who were happy to take my money before delivery sums up there disregard for there customers. This is the last penny I ever spend with these people and hope Argos offer a better after service if it's needed.

i ordered a rangemaster cooker on line to be delivered eight days later when it arrived it had the glass in the door smashed. I refused to accept delivery . Nine days five phone calls two hours on hold and i am still waiting for a call to tell me when / if I will get my cooker no one rings back and the word sorry never uttered. This is the last time we shop at currys as we had problems before, so do yourself a favour and shop anywhere but currys.

I received a damaged fridge freezer, took two days off work to accommodate the original delivery and the rearranged delivery of the undamaged item. No compensation offered and extremely unhelpful poor customer service. The staff in the complaints call centre clearly do not care about the customers.

Paid for a delivery slot between 7am and 10.59am. Had to keep calling them when the delivery never turned up. Finally delivered at 6.25pm that evening.

AVOID CURRYS !!!!!!! Shocking company that refuses to give refunds for faulty appliances. Not the first time I've experienced this with CURRYS. I will warn everyone I know to buy from a major supermarket as there is never any problem with them, £250.00 faulty tumble drier two days old and they expect you to contact hot point

AVOID CURRYS !!!!!!!! SHOCKING. I warned my daughter and everyone I know not to purchase from this dreadful company after buying a camera that took yellow pictures ! Was refused a refund and told that is the design of camera ???? The assistant even took a picture in the car park to prove it had a dreadful fault but was still not reimbursed. My daughter stupidly bought a tumble drier on Sunday, tried it out on Monday to find the filter fills with water. She returned to the store to be told she now has to deal with hot point directly, after phoning hot point they told her as it is only one day old it is CURRYS responsibility, after spending twenty minutes on phone trying to speak to someone on their awful automated voice recognition number the line went dead, my daughter has been in tears trying to sort it out. She works hard and has two young children, she shouldn't have to be making calls writing letters etc. should have bought from tesco they refund without any problem whatsoever

Ordered a new washing machine for a very elderly relative and paid the extra for installation and recycling. I turned off the water in anticipation of the delivery as I could not be there at the delivery time. The delivery team turned the water back on and damaged the stop cock in the process. They then claimed they could not do anything about it and told the lady to contact a plumber (They gave her a card) and the plumber would sort it! Yes, they accepted the lady would have to pay extra to the plumber, but she could reclaim the initial £30 fee. They then left, leaving the old washer in place and the new one stood against it. What a bag of s***e, to leave a 90+ years old lady with that situation.

I bought an Essentials dishwasher in July 2014 for £169.00 the pump broke after 13 months. Its only used twice a week at most. when i rang Curry's customer service they told me I was out of warranty and as i didn't have the care plan, wanted £119.00 to come and look at it. I told the guy that i had never received details about taking out an extended warranty but he didn't seem to care about that and said the £119.00 stands and that it was my bad luck. How ridiculous is that, for an extra £40 i can buy a new one from a company that will certainly offer a better standard of after care service, as to be honest you couldn't get a worse one

Bought a Bosch dishwasher from Currys. It was delivered to the wrong address by two scruffy delivery men in an unmarked van. Eventually when they delivered the dishwasher to my house (ie the correct address!), it was dumped on the kitchen floor and the delivery men shoved a clipboard in front of me and curtly asked me to sign that the goods had been received. They walked out without removing the packaging, which according to Currys, they were supposed to. So I was left to remove all the packing, only to find huge dents on the side panels of the Bosch. I phoned the Currys helpline and were told that they would give me back 10% of the purchase price of the dishwasher as compensation- which I accepted. A month and a half later and no sign of the promised 10% compensation and I am left with a dishwasher with huge dents in the size panels of my dishwasher and a very bad taste in my mouth as far as Currys is concerned. My advice to you is walk past Currys and go to a reputable company.

We bought an oven and we arranged a delivery date for the item. Towards the end of the four hour window we were given on that day, during which it would be delivered, we had a phone call to say that our delivery was cancelled and we would have to arrange another day. They could not explain why they had cancelled so late. THE SECOND day we spent cooped up in the house waiting for the delivery ended exactly the same way: only this time it was the driver who called, saying he could not find anywhere to park and so he had not stopped. We saw no delivery van outside our place and so we have reason to believe he is lying, and didn't come anywhere near the house. Two days wasted now. No apology again. I have never received such poor customer service.

Recieved a broken laptop! Once returned, they wouldn't send new one out for another week. Paid for a laptop and I don't have it. Asked for refund, again said I have to wait 5 working days! Appalling !

I arrived at currys Harlow knowing exactly what I wanted. There was immediate difficulty as although the item was a "featured Advertised Item" is was not in stock at the store or for home delivery. I was advised how I "could" make the purchase. I paid for the item, just shy of £350.00 by card. I was then told that there had been a website/system error of some kind and that now I could not buy the item. It got much worse from here on ! You would assume that a simple "refund to card transaction" would now take place.........NO! , APPARENTLY THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE......... So 12 Days later, another 5 visits to the store, 4 Phone calls to Customer services and STILL NO REFUND ! I HAVE BEEN FOBBED OFF, PUSHED FROM PILLER TO POST, ONE EXCUSE AFTER ANOTHER................. I have now been told that a refund to card has been done and that I should see my money back within about 5 Days. The moral of the story here, Avoid Currys like the plague, or if you feel compelled to be treated badly and do go there , Do not Pay until you have the Item in your Hand.

Currys / Knowhow. The worst shopping experience my wife and I have ever had. They like taking your money, but if a problem arises, you're on your own because simply they just don't care. This review could be a lot longer but our energy to do so has gone. Avoid Currys is the best advice we can give.

Bought washing machine had it delivered worked once stopped working. Phoned to sort something out, told me engineer would ring back he never did, then told me it would be 5 days before engineer would get to me. Engineer claimed he knocked and nobody answered, (i was in allday). On 4 seperate occasions nobody rung back as they had promised. I had to make my way back to store to arrange full refund and to take the washer away which they could not do over thw phone. ( i did not have a washing machine for over a week). My personal opinion their service is shocking and i will never purchase anything from their store again. What a performance.
