Customer service is rubbish - all Debenhams appear to care about is getting the money. Don't bother complaining as it becomes clear that they couldn't care less. Marketing is very suspect - always read the small print - however many ot the 'rules' they make up as they go along!!!

The furniture delivery is awful, very very very BAD; they messed me about for nearly 2 months before I received the mattress I ordered and I received it once I escalated and had a go at one of the depot manager. when I escalated this to debenhams to get compensation they refused to do. They do not trust their customer but the delivery company who lie and break the promises each time. They wasted my time on three occasion where they did not turn up and the guys waited whole day to receive the deliver. And on one occasion the delivery guys refuse to wait for 5 mins even though he turned up out of scope time and took the goods back to depot. In short they messed about with me and wasted time so much as I spend about 2 or 3 hours on the phone in different department couple of times but eventually escalated the issue in the delivery company to get my delivery. And apparently this was debenhams job to sort it out which they miserably failed. Very bad and Pathetic service received from Debenhams I will not use Debenhams ever again to buy Furniture's

FURDECO the delivery service for Debenhams furniture are appalling. Everything is organised via SMS with no way to contact them to arrange or re arrange dates. Even with confirmation SMS for choosing an alternative date the sofa arrived on the wrong day while I was not there? They told me it was my fault that they arrived on the wrong date? The delivery men were horribly rude on both occasions and walked mud through the house. They also wouldn't let me have a copy of the delivery receipt? It seems like more effort to be this atrocious. I hope there is a way to avoid this company in the future but I fear it is not a choice you can make when buying furniture from Debenhams

I long ago stopped going into any Debenhams stores because they are all so over-heated that it makes the whole shopping experience very uncomfortable. Recently I was given a Debenhams gift card, which I chose to use online. I also had some tokens and gift cards from other well-known companies and decided to order a selection of bed linen from all three. The problems I have had with Debenhams since placing the order only three days ago have been numerous, and have involved various phone calls and email communications. This is as a result of them cancelling part of my order, with no explanation, then not refunding my gift card, although I was told on the phone that no payment had been taken. They eventually admitted through emails that they had taken the payment and that a refund would take over 7 days. In the meantime, the other part of my order was redundant without the cancelled part, so I have tried to cancel it also. They have told me they have cancelled it, but I have just received a notification to say it is with the courier. All just completely chaotic and not at all how I would expect a 21st century company, in the age of the internet, to be operating. As for the order and deliveries from the other two companies.....both on their way, complete and with clear communication every step of the way. Come on Debenhams - get with it.

I have ordered 2 pairs of shoes from their online selection, both were nothing like the photos or the size they claim to be and im now lumbered with a giftcard as a refund as they wont give the money back when they are returned to store, customer services are useless and hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager to resolve my problem. An hour on the phone and they refuse to do anything to help, if this is how they treat customers I wont be shopping their again.

I ordered online for a wedding I will be attending this Friday I didn't have the option for next day delivery which I found quite unusual as I've never heard of it, if I have ever ordered online there is always an option... Not with debenhams (quiz) so I placed the order as I was still in the time frame for delivery before the wedding... I got an email saying 1 item will be with me shortly but the most important item had still not been dispatched so I called them, they reassured me it would be here on time... I received another email saying they can not give me the item, I have been refunded so again I called them as I was promised the item would be at my door before the wedding well 2 days before the wedding I am left without the items needed. I have had a lot of trouble finding an outfit for this wedding I finally felt stress free a week before the wedding to discover 2 days before that it wasn't over. I work full time so by the time I finish work I could not shop around, the wedding is on Friday! I finally found a Cape to wear from missguided, cheaper price almost identical and I have next day delivery! USELESS, I thought debenhams had a good reputation... First time buyer and last time!

After waiting seven weeks for a alpha son TVs stand( advertised with the canterlever or TVs bracket) the same tv stand but without the canterlever turned up. In the title of the the stand it says with canterlever and in the pictures it shows the bracket. Opps sorry they said. Just fill this in and return it, after reading there terms that say I am responsible for the cost of shipping it back to them. Even though they are at best misleading, but probably false advertising the stand. The problem is on going..but I will not buy from them again. Looking at there website I thought it was strange that you can not leave a review. Unhappy customer

Utter shambles of a company disgraceful service and failed to deliver an iPad for my mums birthday which was supposed to be guaranteed. DX their courier are no better. Waited in all day for delivery and the item never came. Despite ruining my mothers birthday and me wasting a day off work they couldn't care less. Vote with your wallet and buy elsewhere.

I'm sorry this is going to be a long story.. So I ordered a computer in the online shop and paid with a (non-UK) credit card (which is never a problem with any retailer). After check-out ( I went through the whole verification process with my bank and everything), everything seemed to have gone through as normal and I received a confirmation stating "Your payment has been processed". Later that day I received an email stating "We are currently awaiting payment. If you have only just placed your order or have already made arrangements to pay for your order, please ignore this email." I didn't quite understand and presume I have paid already and hence ignore the message. But then I received another message "We are unable to process your order and would require cleared funds (BACS or Cheque) before we can process your order." Without any other explanation or details why that might be the case. I wanted to inquire about the problem by answering through their 'emessage system' but I only got an error message and was not able to reply. So I was forced to call for 10p/min + normal service charges. As it was already too late to contact customer service on that day though, I decided to call the next day. So the next day I called and found out it was due to my foreign credit card why my payment could not be processed. That it isn't possible to pay with a non-UK credit card was not once indicated during the whole buying process and seriously I haven't encountered this problem once before with any other retailer. Anyhow, so I'm being told to transfer the money instead, which I immediately do. I am also being told that the payment process takes one day and should be through by the following day. The following day came, but I haven't received any communication. I decided to cut them some slack and waited. As it was a Friday, I waited for the entire weekend and when I still hadn't received any confirmation of payment or that my order would now be processed or anything, I decided to call again (for 10+p/min). So I got through to the payment team who confirmed my payment went through on the day I transferred the money and that the customer service team has been trying to reach me. We confirmed both my email and mobile no, which were both correct and I have NOT received anything on any channel. So she put me through to customer service to investigate this (another wait until I got through). The customer service agent then tells me that there hasn't been any attempt from them to contact me and she had no clue what the lady from the payment team was talking about. Anyhow, I was being told I will get contacted by the logistics team in the next few days to confirm delivery dates, etc. She also asked whether I would like to be contacted by phone or email. I specifically indicate PHONE so I have the opportunity to talk to someone in case anything else goes wrong again (although I hoped it wouldn't). Later that day, instead of being called I received another email with the following content: "We are sorry to inform you that we have been informed of a delay to your order. The current lead time is 3-4 weeks, Upon which time you will receive tracking details relating to your delivery date." By that time I've really had enough. And as the messaging service didn't work again, I had to phone AGAIN! So I spoke to customer service and cancelled my order and was told that it takes a day for the refund to be processed in house and another few (up to 5) days to be processed through to my bank. I asked whether there is anything else they needed, I was told no. This was on Monday this week. Today (Friday) I received another email "Good afternoon. Please can you provide the following information so we are able to process your refund: Account number, Sort code, Account name, Bank name and address". SERIOUSLY?? WTF (Sorry for the swearing) Debenhams? And then an hour later "I'm pleased to confirm the following amount has been refunded by BACS account today." So what now? Has it been refunded or not? This time I have managed to submit an emessage with my bank details. We will see what happens from now. In summary a very appalling experience. It seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and the internal processing as well as customer facing web-interface is in need of some serious overhaul. I would never chose to order there again and will discourage anyone I know from doing so. Debenhamsplus really has to improve this service to be able to keep up with the other online retailers on the market. I really wish I had read the other reviews before ordering. Had I done so, I certainly wouldn't have done it, but hopefully my review can help other people to not make the same mistake.

Will not be using Debenhams click and collect again. Ordered 2 pairs of shoes in store, was told they would be delivered in 2/3 days. 1 pair delivered after 8 days, still waiting for other pair after 11 days. Have been back to store but staff not helpful, told me to phone an 08445 number, (costing me money,) to find out what is happening to order. Would not recommend to anyone!

Ordered a set of headphones on a Sunday and received email on Tuesday to say they had been dispatched and to expect them on Thursday. On Wednesday received email to say the headphones were out of stock and to phone to arrange refund. Phoned on Wednesday and told would have money by Friday. No refund came through on Friday so phoned again and told Monday but still no refund, now today is Tuesday and just phoned again and told to wait 3-4 working days for my refund. Unacceptable service, they tell me the refund is processing which means they are still trying to organise it so that means I am going to have to wait more than 5 days from now as I need to give time for bank to process the amount. Will never use debenhamsplus again.

Ordering something online with debenhams is like a cr*p game of russian roulette & the odds aren't in your favour! If the supplier you've brought from through debenhams is not debenhams itself then you're likely to never see that parcel & customer service (who make it seem like its just two people in a basement manning the phones) toss you around back & forth like a 6 day old salad. So if you feel like parting with your cash & potentially never seeing your item again , then ladies & gents debenham is the place to go! XD

Bizarre experience with Debenhams Plus. Bought an ipad online, paid with my Debenhams MasterCard, paid for delivery and chose a delivery date. The following day I received a call from them saying that as I wasn't on the electoral roll I had to give them the names of my neighbours! I didn't need to be on the electoral roll to get the Debenhams account and have used it in the past and had deliveries at home. I cancelled the order - and won't be returning.

Wouldn't even give them 1 star. What a joke. I was deliver my £1379 range oven dented and stained, we called to customer services and they said they wanted photos emailed and that next available pick up and delivery would be 4 days later!! I wasn't happy but had no alternative. Friday comes and no oven and no pick up surprise surprise someone's not done their job right and I get the blame for not sending photos to the correct email. These customer service agents are rubbish at their job that haven't a clue about customer services. Order has now been cancelled and I wait the piece of crap they sent me to be picked up and a refund to be made. Be warned people stay away from Debenhams Plus.

I would never shop at Debenhams again! Be warned stay well clear. Bought Fridge Freezer and due to wrong and misleading size information on website had to return the product and cancel the order. Very poor and uncaring delivery service, even poorer response from the company which cost me £70 in cancellation fees due to no fault of my own. The company couldn't care less once they've got your money. Went to Currys and they had a 100% different attitude. You live and learn!
